Great food but let down by front of house. Didn’t appreciate wine served in gin goblets! Also asked for additional napkins but never got them. The Chefs work so hard on the food side which is very good however sadly this isn’t matched in front of house.

Delicious starters but disappointing mains. Great byo on Wednesdays. Lovely place but sadly very quiet on a Wednesday evening at 8pm.

I had the mushroom burger (without the bun) which basically consisted of fried mushroom pieces, fried hash brown and chips (which were cold). Very small salad, if it could even be called that - a lettuce leaf shredded and two very slim slices of tomato. A disappointing attempt at a vegetarian meal, very unhealthy and unimaginative. Incredibly dull staff, no interaction what so ever and no enquiry as to how we were enjoying the meal/ experience. Poor value for money!

The restaurant serves nice food but the service, the closing time and the availability of drinks is so poor that it was irritating. I would not eat here again. There are much better options locally.

My lady friend has dietary problems. The menu was easily adapted. However when it came the individual items on the menu that was a different matter. Fish and samphire go well together, I think the chef had a night off. Fish was perfection the samphire was cooked to a pulp to be un edable, in reality it did not exist. As for my dish I had chicken schnitzel. This was ill prepared over cooked to a point the crumb coating was burnt and the fries were under cooked. Shame for I live not 400 metre from the establishment and was expecting good expectations from other reviews.

Fantastic visit to Fell on Thursday. The food is really excellent- really refined, good quality comfort food. The southern fried mushrooms were incredible and the chocolate mousse tart was stunning! Really friendly service too and I love the view of the kitchen whilst you eat! Can’t wait to come back and try the roast!

We came last August for our Anniversary and sadly did not have the best experience, due to them starting up their take away business at the same time, however we gave it another go (again for our anniversary) and had a fantastic meal! The food was delicious, the service was excellent and we were so pleased to see that some of the things we commented on had been changed. We will definitely be back! You guys are a real asset to Longridge. Thank you.

Sunday dinner very nice. Well presented and very filling. The cauliflower cheese was nice and good value. Three mains, a side, 3 alc drinks, one mocktail and one pud was £104+10% service charge. For five stars... hmm.. For me the roast potatoes were very big and seasoned. I'd personally preferred smaller, and maybe crisper ones but they were perfectly edible.

Lovely evening, great service with a good choice of food. Good size portions, tasted great, and reasonably priced. Staff were all fantastic - will definitely return.

I came to Fell bistro for the first time today and had the streetfood bottomless brunch the food was amazing and the servers were attentive and very polite the atmosphere was very good would highly recommend and can't wait to visit again 😀

I was skeptical with choosing pork for my main, but I did and they didn't let me down. My first time at Fell and food we had was absolutely amazing from start to finish. All staff were really pleasant. Deserving of a 5 star rating!

Fathers Day lunch. First time visit on recommendation. Booking was easy We arrived was greeted politely and showed to our table. The staff were lovely and attentive. Table was booked for 8pm, food was very good but after our 3 course meal told we couldn’t have coffee as the machine was ‘turned off’. As we were finishing off our drinks, we were told by the waiter to leave as they shut an hour and a half ago (which would of made this 9pm). That also means we had an hour to eat and be out. Why take a booking at 8pm if this the case?? Shame about the very rude waiter that spoilt our evening as the food was lovely.

We went here for lunch in January and I seriously thought I had already done my review. So sorry for the delay. The food and service was excellent. I had the pork chop which was the tastiest pork chop I’ve ever tasted. I even commented to the chef on our departure. All the food was superb. The restaurant has a nice relaxed feel. Not stuffy or uncomfortable. Just serving great food with great flavours and loving what they do

Great cooking although small - front door needs a curtain around it to stop the draft as they do in Switzerland 🇨🇭 as every time the door opened a Baltic blast came in - sitting with your Canada goose cook on isn’t conducive to a lovely meal.

Decided to give this a go after reading good reviews, couldn't fault it all 3 courses were excellent very talanted chef,the flavours were very good will be returning very soon.

Beautiful meal, one of the best we’ve ever had. Everything was full of flavour and top quality including the wine. We had the prawns to start, the rib eye steak and then shared dessert and it was delicious. We will definitely be back.

Fantastic Sunday lunch at Fell. Staff and service were excellent. Alex was outstanding, taking our order and keeping our drinks topped up, and the waiter and young waitress were incredibly professional, polite, and thoughtful. We all loved the squid-oil-battered calamari with house mint and lemon green sauce as a snack. The roast was brilliant, and I particularly liked the course salt on top of the steak as well as the oven baked potato slices, accompanying the roast potatoes, as a way to break up the monotony of a side of spuds. Will definitely be visiting again every time I'm in the area. Thanks for the wonderful experience.

Fantastic Sunday lunch. The roast beef was phenomenal, with great portion size. Very nice vegetables and gravy. Good variety of desserts.

We really enjoyed our visit for the pizza week as all ways good service great food and a nice ambiance the pizzas were delicious as was the dips and sides, a refreshing change but can’t wait for the normal alla carte to return.

The most incredible Sunday Lunch Our second visit and we cannot wait to return. We had a family walk at beacon fell then lunch with family here. Every course was beautiful and the service was excellent. We were particularly well looked after by Jason and we very much look forward to our next visit. Highly recommend.

The lamb was superb. Had it with the wood fired carrots which worked well. The sticky toffee carrot cake was also very tasty, and not as overbearingly rich as normal sticky toffee pudding. Also enjoyed the non-alcoholic local craft beer from Farm Yard. You can see the chefs making everything and they clearly know what they are doing!

First off MASSIVE thank you to Matt, Jason and staff for an amazing afternoon, filled with the most outstanding food i have ever tasted. The Bistro has a lovely atmosphere and the open kitchen is such a great focal point. First starter, was warm flatbread with goats cheese loved it!! The warm bread and smooth goats cheese compliment each other perfectly. Second starter, Nduja, cider mussels...... Words don't do this dish justice. 20/10!!!! I asked for a spoon so i could finish the sauce. fan-nominal. Now the next course blew my socks off.... Never have i ever had a Sunday roast like it. The beef just melted in my mouth, no knifes needed. You could cut it with a spoon. Pork isn't my go to meat, but wow . Loved every bite. The stuffing and cauliflower cheese are out of this world. I would happily just eat a bowl of them on their own. The veg and gravy were amazing and the yorkshire pudding was massive and crispy. At this point, i will admit i loosened my belt buckle to fit in the most outstanding dessert i have ever eaten. My 2 favourite sponge cakes rolled into one. Sticky toffee carrot cake, With another favourite of mine, Ginger, butterscotch vanilla ice cream. Matt all i can say is, I'm still salivating over it now 7hrs later. I will be back,VERY VERY soon. Next time with an elasticated waste band. Keep smashing it guys and again Thank you so much .

This is an AMAZING restaurant, you will not be disappointed! The front of house staff are so attentive from the moment you enter the building, we loved Gabbie, she was professional, approchable and had a knowledge of the menu and background of the restaurant. .... the food was by far an experience in itself, an open kitchen is a pleasure to watch. Ate there for the first time today. Will definitely go back. The staff were lovely and the food delicious. The warm sourdough and whipped butter as a snack (beware, it's a big snack) was gorgeous.

We liked it as we walked in. Shown to our table. Commented on how cold it was due to draft down stairs (a curtain over upstairs entrance was blowing due to draft). The lady serving us moved us to a warmer place which was lovely. Lunch was ok. We both had fish as our mains. I asked for mine to be filleted but it wasn't. The server forgot and apologised after we offered feedback st the end if the meal. The wine was superb, the service good and the food was nice. Husband has 3 Michelin so hoped for better. Glad we tried it. May try again to see if better. Lovely atmosphere and venue. Loved the open kitchen.

We visited as a result of their Michelin guide mention and had the fabulous lunch menu. The food is certainly up there with the best of modern British cuisine, and the service from Alex and team was top notch. The lunch was incredible value, we had a couple of light bites to start, the crispy potato skins and sourdough bread. Both were really tasty. Followed by the leek and potato soup (the Lancashire rarebit was particularly incredible), and mains of cauliflower massamam and bacon chop with a side of carrot. It was all delicious, and way more food than we could finish. Unfortunately we had no room for dessert. All for less than £70 including service charge and a glass of very nice Chilean sauvignon blanc. I can see why it's so highly regarded, a real gem and worth a special visit. 5*

Had a great valentines taster menu meal. Each course was very well put together with lovely flavors and presentation. The staff were professional, friendly and well trained. A good few places of high quality are in this area and this was one of the best so far. Well done to all the team.

Love this place. I have been several times and I don't have a bad word to say about it. The food is fabulous and the set lunch is fantastic value for money.

This establishment simply does not understand service in any way shape or form! We waited one hour before we received any food (table of two) and almost thirty minutes from ordering the wine to receiving it. If I hadn't reminded them I am sure it simply would have been overlooked completely. I together with other diners repeatedly had to get up and close the restaurant front door to prevent the icy wind blowing straight at us. It's a crying shame for the Chefs as they are clearly on point with their food but seemingly oblivious to the shockingly poor service levels provided by the front of house. I have dined here several times with large and small parties, corporate and family but the gulf between great food and terrible service is getting wider, needless to say I will not be rushing back. Was not made to feel welcome and meal was poor with no customer service . Hot drink was only warm. Salmon went home for my friends dog expensive.

Went New years Eve. had a nice meal and a fun time, will definitely be going back.

This restaurant had a lovely atmosphere and the staff including the manager Steffano and to the rest of the staff they were very professional and friendly. The food is cooked fresh by the lovely chefs and it was absolutely delicious and fabulous. It was hot and so much flavour with simple and nice decoration and the cocktails were very nice too! In price actually wasn’t not too bad and I definitely recommend this restaurant and I would definitely would go back again!

The service was excellent. For 2 days before Christmas Day the atmostphere was really lacking, as were the Christmas decorations. Even the tree didnt have lights and the music wasnt appropriate. Food....went for 2 course Festive menu, excellent first course of Beetroot etc but main course, to be charged £5.50 extra for potatoes on a turkey dinner is unacceptable and is just taking the mickey. We had an excellent meal - my wife had the Wood Fired Beets for starter which she absolutely loved (personally had the Chicken Liver Parfait which was nice). We both had Turkey for main course - which tasted scrumptious except for one thing - turkey being served without potatoes which personally doesn’t seen right - required to pay £6 to order potatoes as a side.

On my 4th time eating here and yet to have a complaint. Great relaxed environment and a well executed seasonal menu, accompanied by good wine and cocktails. Farmyard ale on tap to boot. Just what the local area needed

From the door being opened for us by the staff to collecting our coats, it's a first-class experience. The food does justice to its rating.

Really enjoyed Sunday lunch here last weeekend! Good value for the two or three course meal, we had the 3 course each and then sides because we wanted to try everything - really want to know if they do a jar or bottle of the black mayo sauce and the hummous omg we wanted to take it home!! Honestly two of the nicest dips I’ve ever had! Really liked the set up downstairs and being able to see the food being prepped etc really thoughtful and adds to the theme and ambience - plus there wasn’t many people there so we basically had private dining 🦋 loved the sirloin roast dinner the mash was one of the best we’ve ever had, waiter / waitresses are attentive and pleasant / well dressed, we are going to return in future

Rubbish ! Asked for well done steak , 3 chefs and it came pink ! Even the waiter said that’s not well done as ordered then they had the cheek to say I won’t charge u service charge and knock of 10% night ruined will not be going anywhere near again ! And it was very expensive !

I couldn’t recommend highly enough, my partner and I were so impressed with the warm welcome, service and the quality of the food. Everything tasting absolutely amazing and the dishes were served at a nice pace. Will certainly return again, a lovely addition to Longridge.

Overall a very good meal although one of our party didn't have a brilliant steak experience. The rest of us had lamb rump and fish of the day and complemented by very good starters, some reasonable wine it was as I said, overall a very good experience. The restaurant was busy but couldn't fault the service which was both timely and cheerful.

SUPURFLOUS!!!! AMAZING!! WOW!!! beautiful spot in Longridge! Very clean Super polite staff Owner is wondering and caring Great food Great ambience Very professional! Wonderful service it truly was. The black pudding in a mustard sauce and hens egg was delicious as too is the seabass in a lobster sauce! For main I had pork belly which fell off the fork, just wowsers with a fresh accompanied homemade sides and crackling... mmm the potatoes totally yummy. Cheeseboard to finish with excellent selections from around the UK only the finest with lovely biscuits. Seriously 10 out of 10 all round Simple put. PERFECTION!!!

I ordered slightly outside my comfort zone and had black pudding, crushed new potatoes, poached hens egg and mustard sauce. I'm so glad I tried something different, I was smitten at first bite. the other half had Seabream, pickled vegetables and lobster sauce, I'm not a fish fan so I found it a bit too fishy, but he absolutely loved it said it was one of the best starters he's had. For mains he had the confit pork belly, salt baked celeriac, apple and crackling. Every element on the plate complimented the other perfectly. I had the corn fed chicken supreme, sweetcorn, lions mane mushrooms, and confit chicken leg parcel. The sweetcorn was in puree form and was lovely and velvety and paired with the beautifully cooked chicken with a slightly smoked flavor. Fell Bistro is just the place to pop in for a fantastic Saturday night dinner! The hen of the woods mushroom snack was taken as a starter and was superb. Two of our party had the fantastic beef dish which was melt in the mouth delicious. The steaks were cooked to perfection and a lot of emphasis was placed on the flavour of each item on the plate. The baked alaska pudding was to die for! Will be back (again!)

First time we`ve tried Fell after hearing many great reviews. We had the Sunday Roast and the Beef, Yorkshire Pudding, Roasties and Gravy were all really good, but the overall plate was let down a bit by the accompaniments (mashed potato, horseradish cream and carrott puree and a side order of cauliflower / broccoli cheese) which were all a bit lacking in texture (the only real texture coming from a very small portion of fine green beans at the side of the plate). A nice overall experience, though. Service was fine and the restaurant itself had a good vibe and was airy with the doors open on a warm afternoon. Will call again, but probably leave it a while before planning a return visit.

Extra impromptu Anniversary meal! Hubby chose the beef rib and market fish for me! Wow! The flavours of both meals were delicious, I know I tried them both!! What a lovely restaurant, intimate and perfect for couples or friends. Jason always looks after us!

Imaginatively prepared high-quality produce and a particularly great-value lunch menu which features some of the same items as the more expensive a la carte.

***Edit*** Wasn’t a great experience, but from the reply it sounds like the issues were a one off and have been / will be resolved. ***Original Post*** Shambles. Came highly recommended by family and based on reviews, but unfortunately as of today they have started a burger takeaway delivery service. Yes, a burger delivery from an upmarket and quite costly bistro?!?! I’m all up for a bit of atmosphere, but it was so loud with the phone ringing off the hook and the extra chefs churning out burger and chips to the drivers shouting about what they needed for their order. It’s interesting to see a big stack of paper bags and burger boxes on the service line of the restaurant where you’re paying over £30 for a steak! Speaking of the steaks, saw the chef sling them on the grill as soon as the order came through, despite the fact we were having starters. They then carried on shaping burgers (they had to be shaped as the patties were being cut in half for the delivery burgers), taking our steaks off the grill and leaving them on top of the merrychef before we’d even had our starters! I love a well rested steak, but 40 mins is probably a bit too long. Having said all that, the food wasn’t too bad, so you can tell it would be great if the chefs were concentrating rather than filling up takeaway boxes. And the servers were great too. Pick a side, are you a bistro where one might go for a nice meal and be happy to spend some money? Or are you joining the ranks of the longridge kebab shops to churn out burgers? Doesn’t work both ways, especially with an open kitchen!

Wonderful food and service , really enjoyable night bar the slight niggle of the phone ringing and ringing ! They need to buy an answer phone or mute the phone and it will be perfect.

Arrived & seated quickly.. Drinks & food ordered.. We had the Sunday menu. Prawns were lovely & tasty.. Roast beef was cooked to perfection & only wish I could cook it like that... Crispy roast potatoes & a side of cauliflower cheese.. All lovely. All portions are not big but were certainly enough for me.. Service was friendly & efficient. This is not a cheap place to eat but we enjoyed our food & definitely return in the future..

Wonderful food, easily some of the best I’ve had in the UK. Really attentive friendly staff, and a lovely ambiance with the open kitchen and decor. Never felt rushed and had a lovely evening. I had the set menu, and my husband had the fillet steak, cooked perfectly. Highly recommended.

Enjoyed the food, but it was let down by a terrible service, which I would be disappointed in a non Michelin, never mind a Michelin! Arrived on time for the reservation, was not told how long we had when seated at the table. Ordered mains and desserts, the mains took over 30 mins to arrive with no warning or apologies. The service of asking for our orders for the courses also took a long time. Then to our shock, mid mouthful of eating dessert, we were told we needed to leave the table for the next reservation! It was down to the slow service that we had ran out of our 2 house slot which we were not made aware of. We would not had time to order snacks or starters! We were then also charged for service after all this.

Good lunch with friendly, polite and unobtrusive service. Starters, Prawns with a very flavoursome Tomato & Njuda Compote, really great dish of Carrot with Dukkah, Whipped Feta. Tomato Salad, underwhelming and more a side dish than a starter. Mains - Sea Bream good, Lamb Rump cooked really well, let down a little by the Jus. Not the reduction I was expecting, to gloopy with the surprising addition of a thickening agent. Grilled Cauliflower - ok, but a little bland, not in the Josh Katz category. Desserts - Eton Mess, tasty but to many flavours for my taste. Summer Pudding - confusing. Summer Pudding is a dessert made from sliced white bread, layered with fruit and its juice. This was some form of sponge with custard and a fruit compote. The above, however, are minor criticism's and I'd definitely return and recommend.

Eaten here 3 times in the last couple of months and been excellent every time. Had steak twice, cooked to perfection accompanied with brilliant sides that you don’t have to be forced in to buying separate (Pickled onion rings are fantastic worth a special mention)....

No atmosphere, a very expensive roast on a Sunday. Staff extremely impolite and no personality and when leaving a service charge as given on the receipt that made it worse.

Well, this came highly recommended and did not disappoint. Sea Trout - out of this world. Starters were also excellent. Argentinian prawns/softshell crab. Excellent service. Can't wait to go back.

Brilliant restaurant with an open plan kitchen - adding to the ambiance. Staff are lovely and the food was 10/10. We had soft shell crab starters, and fillet steaks. Both were perfectly cooked and fresh to order. Highly recommend.
