Fell Bar Penrith in Eden

Popped in for some drinks after I couldn't find a coffee shop that was open and I'm delighted they were all closed. This was a great little bar, with some wonderful beers on offer, both locally produced and by some of the UK's best breweries. Great to know this is here next time I'm in the area!

A lovely brewery tap room in the hart of town, a huge choice of excellent beers larger and wine and the spirt of your choice, comfortable surroundings, friendly atmosphere, and dog friendly.

One of the best small bars in Penrith, and quite possibly the best beer selection in town. Amazing Cumbria brewed real ale, excellent seasonal offerings, and great ciders, alcohol free options and bottles of guest beer. Highly recommended.

Lovely atmosphere and a wonderful range of beer cask and draff including their own - loved the Fell Ghyll Gold Ale and my partner was thrilled to see they did a wheat beer! There's a food deal tues-Thurs and sun with the Greek takeaway too

Cosy, inclusive pub in the heart of Penrith with sick tunes. Mad good beer selection offering a meal deal with the amazing greek restaurant next door. Plus the bar man is giving Aphex Twin ++

A really chill place with a great selection of beers. Came here a few times for our week long trip to Penrith. Perfect place to while away an afternoon in the rain. Make sure to take advantage of the £9 food and beer deal in conjunction with Just Greek down the road. Perfect combination

11th - 8th Went in for a beer NEVER AGAIN! I'm not sure who's employed the very rude little tubby 'waitress'... When she eventually pulls herself away from her fast food takeaway that she's stuffing down her face (behind the bar) all you can expect is a very bad attitude..... Best avoided!

Great bar! Visited on a work trip, bar staff were very attentive and a brilliant selection of beers. Played a couple of games of Catan with some regulars, nice bunch of guys. Highly recommend this bar. Thanks ☺️

What a great bar to watch the game, atmosphere was friendly, welcoming and fun. Varied selection of quality locally/cumbrian brewed ales, stout and my favourite the Fell Helles lager.

A great range of both cask and keg beers, mainly but not exclusively from Fell brewery. Some real ciders, wine, gins plus some great small batch bottled beers from Mills brewing.

Lovely little craft beer pub, complete with super friendly staff who are really welcoming of kids and animals.

We were staying in Penrith for a long weekend and this pub became our favourite place for a drink. Nice selection of beers with a good variety and decent prices. A really nice relaxed vibe makes this bar a must visit for beer lovers in Penrith.

Really great micropub with a wide selection of ales, craft beers, ciders IPAs and stouts. Definitely recommend. Seating arrangement downstairs is a little bit limited though. More seating upstairs, as are the toilets.

As always, a great choice of both craft and cask ale on sale poured expertly by the friendly efficient bar staff. Who’d want to drink at home when you have a local like this even if the toilets are on the top floor. Oh to have a Fell Bar local to Lancaster 🙏🏽

Large group of us had a drink. Staff managed us well as so many of us. The toilets are not suitable for those with mobility problems unless there was one on the ground floor I was unaware of. Soda in bottles therefore smaller than my usual pint! But good atmosphere

Good friendly cosy bar, attached to the the George hotel, good choice of beers and spirits

Really nice cosy place for a drink, especially if you're into your ales. Visited on a Saturday around 5ish and you could see it'd soon be difficult to get a seat despite having additional room upstairs. Good selection of ales ranging from £4.50 all that way up to £10+ and also had spirit and wine options. The place is dog friendly and the bar staff were very knowledge and helpful. Were even able to provide us with some detail about other places to visit in Penrith. Would definitely recommend it and its ideally situated to go for a takeaway at Just Greek!

Visited this bar twice while in Penrith. Really great alternative to the other pubs in the town. Superb choice of beers including many from the highly rated Fell Brewing Company. Made to feel very welcome.

Had a lovely pint of bitter, not from Fell Brewery, and thought of trying another but many of them were ridiculously overpriced, £6, £7 upwards, sometimes not even a pint! Decided to go somewhere more reasonable.

Went to a Caribbean music DJ gig. Great atmosphere, friendly crowd, range of interesting microbrewery beer, excellent service. A really good sympathetic conversion of a very old building into a laid-back, characterful bar.

It's doesn't do food, so cant score. As i have moved to Penrith is my new local.

Overnighting in Penrith en route to Scotland. The Fell Bar is an appealing place and served up an superb pint of Fell Ghyll.

Huge selection of ales, quite a few ciders and gins. Very dog friendly, seating on two floors , wifi, low level music and a relaxed vibe. Range of ales was substantial from multiple breweres, not just Fell. Strength ranged from 8% 'pinnacle' for £7.35 ( for 2/3 ) or 6.5% 'in depth' £8.20 a pint to a 0.5% pale 'beck' £4.80 a pint plus porters ryes stouts and sours. Not on real ale finder though so you will not find it by looking there. I was lucky enough to walk past by accident. Lovely pub

Four of us visited here for the evening after travelling up from the Midlands. Easy to get to in the town. The downstairs room is quite cosy but there is a bigger room with more seating upstairs on the first floor with the toilets being located on the second floor. Great selection of beers and a few ciders too, we sampled a good few of them as we stayed for about 5 hours.. Staff were friendly and efficient and the place was very well patronised with most if not all the seating being taken up for most of the evening until about 10.30pm. We had not eaten since lunch and an especially nice touch was that we were allowed to bring locally purchased take away food to eat whilst we finished the evening off. Our original intention was to maybe visit a couple of local hostelries but this place had everything we needed and resulted in a most enjoyable evening.

A place for relaxation, good banter and excellent drink. They have an incredible selection of beers and very nice vodka. It's different every time I go but the fundamental atmosphere is one of laid back but very well organised hospitality.

The Fell Bar has a really good drinks menu with top quality beers and spirits. My husband had two pints of the Sureshot and I had the Lakeside Grapefruit gin. Both were really good especially the gin which came with chunks of pink grapefruit - delicious. The bar staff were friendly, there was extra seating upstairs and the vibe was very down to earth.

Really nice place with good atmosphere. Only the house Fell beers available on cask, they won't be to everyone's taste so I would have liked to see a guest ale as well.

Popped in on last night of our break in the Lakes, brilliant choice of beer and really friendly place. Dog friendly, if you like your craft beer and cask ale make sure you visit if you are in the area.

Excellent, very sociable and friendly, beer is always Excellent and a great choice too, A little pricey but you're getting a hand crafted product and not some mass brewed rubbish,great if you're into real ales.

What a great place for a drink.

Typical micro bar for the Fell brewery. Small downstairs room and bar with plenty more seating upstairs. A typically Spartan decor but excellent beer. I had the Ghyll; really good.

Love this place. I have never been disappointed with anything I've ordered. Nice relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff.

Had a couple of hours in this little place but boy was it worth it, the staff are a credit to the place with good knowledge of the crafts and very helpful. Would recommend this and will visit again one day.

Not accessible, hence low star rating. A very small bar area on ground floor, larger room upstairs. Think more real-ale-type bar than romantic first date destination, but friendly.

Friendly, covid secure welcome followed by good service and great beers. Would definitely recommend for a drink.

We had a fantastic night here. The choice of ales and gins was brilliant, my wife particularly liked the nettle gin. All Covid based restrictions were explained as soon as we came in and were upheld completely. There was a point early on when a gentleman decided to break the social distancing rules, was asked to sit down repeatedly and was then a complete arse about it, but Louise handled the situation fantastically and deserves all the credit she can be given for it. We will return the next time we visit Penrith.

They brew excellent beers, the staff are lovely and you really feel they are looking after you regarding covid mitigation. I would thoroughly recommend to anyone in the area!

Fabulous bar with a good selection of ales. Really felt safe COVID wise - staff wore face coverings and sanitised everything between customers. Just a unisex loo on the top floor but very clean. Top Marks all round.

Was guided upstairs by a man I didn't catch the name of then served by a lovely woman named Ash(?) who was friendly and helpful the whole hour or two I was there. They have a great range of nice beer including local and other drinks too. Great COVID friendly measures in place. Plus they've converted the top floor into nice toilets. Highly recommend if out for a drink alone or with small groups in Penrith.
