Fell Bar Chorlton in Manchester

First visit on Sat 12th Oct, late afternoon. Nice Place, great beers, but why are the staff so surly & up their own backsides? I asked for a receipt for a card payment & i thought the lady behind the bar was going to slap me! Be Careful FELL, don't be so arrogant. There's plenty of healthy competition in Chorlton.

Good beer, friendly staff, nice place

Great local bar with a large selection of craft beers. All different types from stouts to lagers, IPAs and session ales from interesting breweries. Helpful tasting notes and knowledgeable bartenders.

Have a couple of pints after work most Saturdays, the place and staff are cool and they do an amazing sausage roll.

Very nice beer, cool little place. Vintage VHS, sausage rolls and a good selection of cask and keg.

Well worth a visit. Great selection of beer, decent wine, and not to forget the classic VHS films they play behind the bar. Seats out the front catch the evening sun, and additional seating indoors in the back room too.

Buzzy neighbourhood bar & the best beer selection in Chorlton. Run by the excellent Fell Brewery from the Lakes so always fresh beer in cask & keg from including options from a rotating roster of great breweries from across the UK. Cosy in winter - sunny street-side beer garden in summer. Live jazz from time to time too. A real gem.

25/04/24: Pomona Island: Obtuse Rubber Goose sour 4.8% 29/07/23: Fell Brewery: Quiet Bat People, outmeal stout 4.5%, Full Circle Brewery: Neon Handshake raspberry & lime sour 4.4%, Gell Brewery: Pub Piano pale ale 4.4% 27/06/23: this time we had the Pohjala: Orange gose, 5.5% and the Fell Brewery: Light Mild, 3.4% 08/10/22: The Fell Brewery's southernmost outpost and the only one outside of Fells home in Cumbria. 12 keg and 4 cask lines, a multitude of cans in the fridge and an ample supply of nibbles! A modern and small independent brewery, South Lakes Cumbria.

Obnoxious staff members telling disabled members of the public they cannot perch on a bench in a public space outside the premises (during a charity event) proceeded to be disrespectful and rude when advised as to why said member of the public was sat down, never even questioned if intended to attend when premises opened. Premises was not even open to the public at this time. May have visited as new to the area but will definitely never return now. Horrible, obnoxious creature of a man.

Best pub in Chorlton. Cool bar staff, great music, super collection of beer and wine. Dog friendly, relaxed crowd. The sausage rolls are delicious. Just need Old J spice rum and it would be perfect!

Made my first ever visit to this bar. In the 2023 CAMRA Good Beer Guide. An outlet for the Cumbrian Fell brewery. Three of their beer on handpump. Paulicarus chose Ghyll. Also had one guest, Good bar with seating inside and out. The front south facing patio seats about 30. Card payment only which frustrates me.

Absolutely ideal taproom. Brilliant range of cask and keg, including local favourites and their own brews. Excellent atmosphere, and super dog friendly to boot. Hard reccomend.

Having visited the Lake District in August, I was delighted to see that Fell Bar had opened in Chorlton. I have visited on several occasions, sitting both inside and outside when the weather allows. Whilst the beer is fantastic, and the wine offerings are also great too, I have been disappointed by the service on every occasion. I am hoping some training will be put in place to support staff with their social skills.

Friendly local craft beer joint, with an excellent range of beers and some good wines. Never empty.

A little pricy (unnecessarily confusing chalk board of prices too imo) but a nice, chilled atmosphere and good beers. Plenty of seating too. Overall, worth a try but will suit certain people and not others.

Good spaces inside and out, unfussy but welcoming. The seating area outside makes good use of the wide pavement. Varied selection of beers and ciders.

Cute little establishment. Delicious craft beer, refreshing after leaving a church beer festival with flat beer-yikes! As soon as I had a sip of their session IPA I was reminded of how delicious, craft beer is. Ian, lover of all craft beer and smart tshirts even tried to purchase a Fell t-shirt. Sorry Fell, you clearly have taste and will make a killing with ppl like my husband- who don't come with thier wives to talk them out of it 🤣

I've received a salty attitude and poor service every single time I've been in Fell. We thought it might have just been one Mardy employee. But no. Every single one has an attitude problem. As if we are an inconvenience to them. It's a shame cos it's a really nice bar with decent booze.

Delicious selection of beers that change regularly. Serving beers from the fell brewery and others. They also offer softs, spirits and wine. Really great atmosphere often with a great playlist/album as your drinking soundtrack. Currently offering take away draught, cans and bottles.

The best bar in South Manchester for beer. Nobody likes it when you go to a bar that pertains to be a craft beer bar but, alas, tries to adhere you to the floor by means of alcoholic residue. However, this place has spared no expense on the fit out which is equal parts clean lines and clean tables. Thats not to say it is overly clinical just, ya know.....good This gaff has top beer from Fell, as well as great guest stuff (not my tipple, but try getting fresh Verdant anywhere around these parts!) and lovely, knowledgeable staff to boot. Lively atmosphere abound, its almost like being in Feb 2020 (hand san nothwithstanding).

Excellent new triplet of Fell Penrith & Fell Kendal - great range of keg & cask ales. Fab staff, clean decor, beloved beers - well worth a visit
