It was a first time visit for my wife and I. We enjoyed the main beef and pork choices on the 3 course Sunday lunch menu. It was a pleasure to enjoy the chef’s freshly cooked food, so delicious ! The service was very attentive and timely, and the head waiter Luis was excellent in managing coeliac diet requirements - no fuss and professional. The restaurant setting is charming with a splendid view of the garden. Other tables and younger people added to the lively atmosphere which we enjoy.

We enjoyed the beautiful location and had a pleasant afternoon tea experience. We booked in the morning and arrived in the late afternoon. However, despite requesting no pork in our sandwiches, three of them contained pastrami, which is still pork. Due to dietary restrictions and beliefs, 2 out of 3 of us do not eat pork, so this was disappointing. Additionally, the variety of sandwich options was limited, which was a bit of a letdown. On a positive note, the cakes were delightful, though the scones were a bit dry. The service was good overall, but the tea went cold, and we had to flag someone down for a refill or more hot water. It’s nice that you can relax in the hall, but considering the price, we’ve had better service and a more diverse food selection elsewhere. The location itself is stunning and well worth a visit. If we return, we might consider trying the restaurant instead.

Visited yesterday for a spa deal that they had on their website with a friend who was visiting from overseas. It exceeded expectations. It was not crowded, the largest number in the main pool at anyone time was 4 people! We used all 3 saunas and steam room. Enjoyed the hydropool and on a whole that was never had more than 4 people in it! We had 2 lovely treatments (full body and express facial) which both of us enjoyed and left us relaxed. The 2 course lunch was yummy and would reccomend this for a lovely getaway for relaxation. Already thinking of booking another day for my mums 60th!

Fawsley Hall is a nice hotel with beautiful grounds and we’ve visited the hotel many times over the years ranging from lunch, dinner, afternoon tea through to our daughter getting married at the hotel. Our latest visit was for Sunday lunch as a couple. £42.50 per person for 3 courses with a 12.5% service charge on top. Firstly, the food was good, very well prepared and presented. That said the 2 meat offerings were chicken breast and pork, no beef, even if beef is offered there’s an additional charge. Sunday lunch should offer a red meat choice full stop even if it’s lamb. Service was pretty average. By pretty average I mean disappointing. Going through the motions fits the bill. We had a bottle of wine and after the initial offering we poured our own top ups throughout the meal due to lack of attentive staff. My wife had cheese the plate presented but no explanation of what the 3 cheeses were. Presented with the bill I then had to find the staff to pay the bill at the desk due to lack of attention. The restaurant wasn’t particularly busy. Overall service should be much more attentive, much better for 12.5%. The wine prices are insane. I know a hotel charges a premium but the wine offerings were marked up to a ridiculous level. There’s inflation and then there’s exploitation! Overall for a lunch for 2 with a bottle of wine costing over £150 it’s just not value for money for 3 courses, more so when service doesn’t match that price point. Some nice times at Fawsley over the years, thanks for those memories, sadly it’s time to look elsewhere.

Stopped here for a one night break during a particularly stressful time and can't emphasize how happy I am that we did. From the gorgeous grounds to the complimentary room upgrade on check-in, the beautiful spa (the outdoor hydropool is especially lovely) to the flawless cocktails and dinner (burger is probably top five I've had in my life) everything about this 24 hours was front-to-back lovely. Lastly, the service was exceptional - you can tell the staff put genuine care into ensuring everyone who stays there has a lovely experience. They even offer a little goodbye gift on checkout to ensure you have a comfortable journey home. Already plotting when I can stay at Fawsley Hall again sometime, and hoping I can make it a longer stay when I do.

One word for Fawsley Hall: amazing! We didn't stay the night here, but we dined in the lovely restaurant. It was a family members birthday, and we were looked after so well. The whole team, from kitchen to waiter/waitress was professional, helpful and knowledgeable. We asked a few questions about the food, and they could tell us exactly where it was from and how it was made. The food itself was sublime. I've never tasted beef so well cooked! When dining here, you're also served bread before your starters, and entrees. These were equally as delicious as the main courses! All in all, this was an amazing experience both dining, and just seeing the grounds of Fawsley Hall. Will definitely be back again, next time I'll certainly stay a night :)

My daughter in law booked us in for afternoon tea as she and my son have just moved into the area. It is place that amazes as soon as you pull into the drive and continues to amaze as you enter the stunning rooms. We were made so welcome by Feyzullah with fun and respectful banter. So I want to start with the great stuff. The staff - they have been womderful. The place - it is lovely. The food - we had an amazing meal. The spa - it’s really very nice & we had amazing service. So why 3*’s? This hotel/chain has a problem with their booking admin. It’s been simply awful from beginning to end. Something is either wrong with software or process & they seem to know it but do nothing. I knew from the outset that there was an incompetence in booking, I could just tell, so I took steps to try and overcome them. Despite all that, our booking was not correct. Of course they put it all right on the day, which we were lucky for. If you have a business process problem, you fix it. So I won’t come back, not because of the place or staff, but because I don’t take breaks to sort out a hotel’s admin. I’ve been so impressed by the follow-up to this post from hotel management. They have really good people here.

I honestly had the best day ever at my wedding at Fawsley Hall. From the beginning, when we looked round, until our big day (and even since) we have been looked after so well! They always make you feel special. The wedding team are friendly and never felt like my endless questions were an inconvenience. Assisted even with my last minute requests. The day itself was to that same high standard. The day ran so smoothly, the staff were fantastic for both us as the couple and our guests. They guided us when we needed it, and left us to enjoy when we didn't! The food was amazing and we got compliments on it. The rooms are stunning, and we got to use the main house rooms for the ceremony and the beautiful great hall for reception drinks. Breakfast the next morning was served just as well as every other time. I honestly couldn't have asked for more from the venue. Thanks for giving us such a special day! We look forward to coming back many more times.

We had a fabulous meal here recently, it's a lovely experience. The bar was quite quiet while we sat in front of the fire for a pre-dinner drink. Moving through to the restaurant, one of the oldest parts of the property, where it was still warm and cosy, the meal commenced. Some complimentary hors d'oeuvre, bite size, delicate flavour, and delicious. Then some breads, and a small amuse bouche (mushroom risotto), again complimentary, and again delicious. Both the starters, mains and desserts look small, but they are rich, full of flavour and interesting combinations. We were full at the end of the meal. Service throughout was exceptional. Like all great places, it's efficient but discreet. All of the staff were lovely, cheerful, happy ro help and chat where they could. It is not a cheap place, but is very much recommended.

WOW WOW WOW. Fawsley Hall is just beautiful. My partner booked Fawsley for a night away, and we also had friends come with us for my birthday treat. The place was beyond exceptional. We were greeted by lovely staff in reception who arranged our bags to be taken to our room as it was just having final checks, so my partner and I decided to go for a coffee while we waited. We were relaxed the moment we stepped out of the car. The hotel and surroundings were stunning and so tranquil. Our feature room was beautiful. The only thing I wish we had was a separate shower, but that doesn't matter because everything else was perfect. When my friends arrived, we all decided to take a leisurely walk over to the church on the grounds. The views were breathtaking, and the church was lovely. I only wish it was open because looking through the window, it looked beautiful inside. When we arrived back at the hotel, we decided to go into the bar for hot chocolate and tea to warm up. There was a lovely fire lit, so we sat by it to warm up. The staff member came over and took our order, he was very polite and professional...all the staff were and time just stood still. We arrived for dinner at 8 pm in a lovely little room. We were given bread while we waited for our starters to arrive, and you could tell it was freshly made that day. We ordered our mains too, but I was disappointed that there wasn't any belly pork left, so I decided on a steak. All the food was beautifully cooked and there were no complaints. We didn't order a dessert as we all felt full. The following day, my friend and I had a massage booked. The spa was lovely ( I only wish we had more time to spend in there). The staff were courteous, and my only gripe was my friends massage was booked at 10 and mine 10.30. It would have been nice for us both to have had them at the same time, so we finished the same time. ALL the staff should be commended, they are a credit to this hotel. Would I visit Fawsley Hall again....ABSOLUTELY. I highly recommend going to this outstanding place, you will not be disappointed.

My wife and I took my mother to Fawsley Hall today for afternoon tea to celebrate her 94th birthday. We all had a lovely time. Firstly, we were greeted in the driveway and shown to our table in the main hall which was breathtaking. We were then spoiled by Feyzullah to a delicious array of freshly made finger sandwiches, warm scones with clotted cream and jam, and a selection of cakes. We were able to choose from a wide selection of teas and we replenished these numerous times while enjoying our food. Feyzullah was always on hand and extremely attentative to our every need. We had our wedding at Fawsley Hall in December 2023. On visiting the place 2 years previously we fell in love with it and knew straight away it was the place for our wedding. All the staff were amazing and couldn’t do enough for us and our guests. The place itself is absolutely stunning and the food was out of this world. Every guest commented on the meal and our guests with allergy needs were taken care of very well. We had alot of guests staying over and all of them were really happy with their rooms. There are no words to describe how blown away we were by Fawsley. Stunning hotel. The main hall and the restaurant are lovingly restored Elizabethan buildings. The room was in the old part of the building and was likewise stunning, with beautiful old windows. The spa was more than adequate with a lively outdoor jacuzzi. If it was a cloudless night we would have seen more stars. The food was fantastic, dinner and breakfast were lovely. We have visited Fawsley many times thoughout the last couple of years. Yesterday was our big day, our wedding at Fawsley. The staff are amazing and I cant give them enough credit. Nothing is to much for them and will help in anyway they can. They were all friendly and led by Allen it all came together and the day ran like clock work. We have had so many amazing comments from our guests at how lovely the venue was, room and the service. We used alot of the hotel throughout the day. Having our ceremony in the Salvin long room, Drinks in the Grand Hall, Wedding breakfast in the Salvin board room & the evening in Knightly Court. The Christmas decorations are amazing as always and made our day extra special. We stayed in the Robert Dudley room and the views are wonderful, and the bed was super comfortable. We had an amazing stay at Fawsley Hall. The atmosphere is relaxing, the venue elegant, the spa outstanding and the staff invariably friendly and helpful. Between the work-outs in the high-quality gym, the country walks, the afternoon tea in the impressive Tudor Hall, the massages in the spa and the 5-course tasting menu in the restaurant our four days at the venue simply flew by. See previous review... It's been a while so we tried it again. It's a great location. The service was very attentive. The food was tasteless. It's as if someone had a special machine to suck the flavour out. All in all the menu seemed to be trying too hard, resulting in something very disappointing. I suppose the rationale is to provide a type of fine dining which can justify the substantial cost. The outcome is, however, bland, boring and badly over priced.

I had the pleasure of a Spa Day here. From the minute I arrived I was put at ease and felt relaxed. Brilliant team, particularly the receptionists, restaurant and therapists. Immaculately clean and calm. Loved it.

We had a fantastic stay at Fawsley Hall for our 'mini moon' following our wedding in the local area. We had a good check in and were helped with our luggage to our room. Our room was lovely, clean and as expected from pictures on the website, and the staff had left a lovely card to greet us. We stayed for 2 nights, the first was the romantic retreat package, with chocolates in our room on arrival, and champagne with our 3 course dinner. The second was the spa package, we had fully body massage (best message I've had!) After being able to use the pool, sauna and steam room. We then had the 5 course tasting menu that evening, plus breakfast in our room both days. All of the food was delicious, a real highlight. The premises were clean and beautiful, and the staff were all fantastic. The surroundings are also beautiful. We felt special, very relaxed and well taken care of. A huge thank you to all the staff at Fawsley Hall for helping us celebrate our marriage. I highly recommend staying here, or even coming for the spa or dinner.

Great meal In restaurant. Lovely room. The spa was really lovely only lacking in enough sun loungers for those who are not booked on spa days and are staying in hotel. Treatments are nice but vary in quality depending on the therapist. The afternoon tea was delicious and plenty of choice.

I visited with two friends for a spa day. The staff were all welcoming and very helpful. The spa was quiet and provided various areas to relax and unwind. The afternoon tea was excellent and the staff catered well for dietary requirements. My massage treatment with Millie was excellent.

Charming Hall Hotel & Spa not far from Northampton. Set in beautiful grounds with lots of history Fawsley is a lovely place to just relax, enjoy the spa, go for a long walk and then settle into the bar and restaurant later. At weekends its a bit busier with locals enjoying afternoon tea in the Hall but overall the staff were friendly and helpful (expect to see the same faces at breakfast, lunch and dinner). I couldn’t imagine doing much more than a couple of nights due to the limited dinner menu however. Recommended.

Staying nearby and came only for tea, which was lovely and delicious. The great room in which tea is served is spectacular. Food was divine, especially the scones, and service was impeccable.

After 7 years, we returned to Fawsley Hall to find it as gorgeous as our memories said it was. The building, beautiful and alive. The staff, Mollie, Mo, Harry, OUTSTANDING. The hotel restaurant was worth every penny, thank you Chef. The spa had been updated to a great standard and was devine and again the staff were excelled themselves. All involved with Fawsley Hall should be proud, thank you.

Fantastic spa day. Beautiful location and lovely afternoon tea. The spa had great facilities, the staff were all incredibly friendly and genuine. Special thanks to Donna and Georgia - who did our treatments. The spa wasn't too over crowded either - everyone was able to space out and get the most out of the day. Really enjoyed every minute. Thank you Fawsley.

Fawsley Hall is a rare treat We ate there recently to celebrate a big birthday with some friends and the whole evening was a delight. Pre dinner drinks on the great hall A lovely room (one of many) to dine in (there were 9 of us in that particular room) and the service was excellent. The food was amazing and I shared the cote de boef with a friend.

As soon as we arrived we were earmly greeted by the gentlemen behind the bar, we enquired about food as there were many reserved signs about and he led us to a free table. He offered to start us a tab which was kind as we weren't regulars we simply stumbled on this place as we were on the road during a three hour journey south. We were given the usual menu and a seasonal menu, selection was good with vegan and vegetarian options. My partner had the gammon with options of two eggs two pineapple or one of each which I thought was a nice choice for a change. I went from the seasonal menu and had home made beef stroganoff again with side options of fries, rice or half and half which is what i went for. My dear people when the menu said choice cuts of beef they didn't lie it was tender the sauce creamy and on a cold night that tingle of mustard or horseradish whatever they used was awesome! I had read a review regarding their generous portion sizes and they were not mistaken there my partner and I struggled to finish everything but I personally was not letting any of this go to waste. Even my partner's meal, she ate all but a couple of chips. We paid just over £30 total including drinks for the two of us. Really lovely place, friendly staff, stunning food and a lovely country pub feel to it, as my partner put it "if these walls could talk I wonder what stories they could share."
