Fat Teds Streat Food in North Norfolk

Food was very nice and different that's why we tried them....can get busy..so there may be a slight wait...but worth it..

Smiles... Smiles were found all around at Fat Ted's little shack. Smiles from the friendly staff and upon my, and my son's, faces. My 9-year-old son wanted a simple chicken nuggets meal, as he could not fully grasp the culinary heresy that Fat Ted's menu was claiming to provide. I, on the other hand, knew that this could be the dirtiest of fries... dirty and tasty. I went with some chicken, garlic and chipotle sauces, and massive hunger. They did not disappoint! My son couldn't stop chowing on the nuggets. The chips must have some sort of dark magic because they were some of the best cooked chips I've ever had from a shack. How do you take simple potatoes, place them in oil that burns hotter than napalm in July, and fry them to a golden crunch outside like that? I have no idea, but never stop. NEVER, EVER, STOP! The bountiful additions of chicken, sauce, onions, and desire? Well, that is just a bonus for your tongue to experience. Yeah, it was good. It was better than good. It was the kind of food that will make you fat, and you better believe you'll enjoy the journey getting to that fatness. Fat Ted's, you are a danger to scales everywhere. Continue your flavorful assault upon the masses!

I stayed near Sheringham and once I tried Fat Ted's I was back every day 👌🏻 The food was so nice I didn't even have time to take a photo of it but trust me this was the best food I tasted all week to you must try it

Legendary place, cheap and delicious food. Unfortunately was closed last time I went.

By the original definitions of the Michelin Stars; 1 Star is you should visit if you're in the area. 2 Stars is you should make a detour to visit and 3 Stars is you should make a special journey just to go and visit. By those definitions Fat Teds is at least worth two Michelin Stars! Whenever we're on the North Norfolk coast we have to pop into Sheringham for Fat Teds. Amazingly flavourful food and you always get more than you would expect to get for the price you pay. 10/10 Would highly recommend!

Had the halloumi, avocado and hummus fries. The mini one was enough to make me feel full from the entire day, absolutely great.

I'm a regular visitor year round, no matter what day or time I get here, the service is fantastic and the food is consistently good. Today I had the hummus and avocado dirty fries and the seasonal special (beer battered fried brie with cranberry sauce) Perfect as always 👌

The best fries for miles and miles around. My particular favourite is their dirty fries with halloumi, avocado, hummus, and their blend of cheddar and gorgonzola. Their chicken topping on the fries is pretty good too. Portion sizes are mini and large, but don't be fooled by the word 'mini', it's a decent sized portion. The large isn't that easy to finish in one sitting for the average Joe. Service is very friendly and prompt. If you're ordering online, it's worth planning ahead, as they can sometimes stop taking orders if it gets too busy.

Wow... I know we're late to the party here but the food tonight was incredible, amazing chicken burgers for myself and my son with the spicy hot sauce.. Both decided they were the best chicken burgers we'd ever had... Back soon to try a flatbread!

Really good takeaway in Sheringham serving Dirty Fries topped with Brisket or Chicken. We ordered large ones with additional Halloumi and was a struggle to finish it off it was a good size. The sauces added to everything makes the dishes really nice. There was always people ordering as its a busy part of Sheringham so we ordered online to ensure we got our dinner when we wanted it. All run smoothly, there was a slight mixup with the orders but rectified promptly would highly recommend. Ordered around 1pm bank holiday Sunday, order taken quickly, politely and attention to details was second to none. We had a special order, after ordering the guy double checked the order was correct and after waiting around 5 minutes for the food to be freshly cooked we received our order 100% correct which is amazing We have never tasted such amazing food the chicken was moist and delicious and lovely seasoned not to much but not to little. I can’t recommend this place highly enough a real gem of a food outlet. We will definitely be back when visiting Sherringham again. Thank you very much

Really good street food. I went during a busy period and the food was cooked and pretended perfectly. I got the chilli beef brisket burger which was very filling, depth of flavour through out the brisket was impressive. Definitely worth visiting

If you're visiting Sheringham - THIS is the place to get something different - really good salad and dirty fries. In Holt Erics Fish and Chips was great too

Great bunch of lads running Sheringham’s best kept food secret. We had the chilli beef brisket with dirty fries and garlic mayo, and the garlic chicken with dirty fries. Really good. Ready in 10 minutes as promised, which left enough time to choose a bottle of wine from Sainsburys nearly next door. Great solution for a Netflix night in.

Very nice food and a nice little stall to have on the high street. Unique selection of food to order and different to most food shops you would normally get in a town. I ordered the Halloumi, Hummus & Avocado Dirty fires and they were very nice and also good value for money. The system of having someone order outside the stall to speed things up was helpful too. Will definitely be back again. (I don't like Avocado so I was given the option to substitute it for something else, which was good)

Honestly would say it was the best food we have had during our stay in Sheringham. Totally worth trying if you are arounf the area.

Amazing wedding food! We booked Fat Teds for the evening food at our wedding in the summer and cannot recommend them enough! The loaded fries went down an absolute treat with our guests - there was not a single person still hungry at the end of the night. So many of our guests still talk about the food and have been to Fat Teds many times since. The team were also so chilled and friendly in the run up to our wedding - a major help when there's so much admin to stay on top of! Thanks guys! Harvey and Laura x

Walked 12 miles from mundesley to Sheringham on Saturday and gratefully stumbled upon this little beauty!! Me and my mates was in need of fuel in the form of some lovely food and that's just what we got!! We all said we will be returning whenever we're in Sheringham!! Called at Fat Teds in the middle of an 8 mile walk and really enjoyed our food sat on Sherringham prom in the sun. Dirty Fries were great, a proper street food venue. Would definately go back if in Norfolk again.

Garlic chicken flatbread with Halloumi was good quality and a decent portion, although at £7-50 it was all the money.

Wow what fantastic food! My hubbie and I ordered the salad boxes, his was the beef and mine the famous chicken (I added avocado too) absolutely fabulous we loved it. So flavoursome and a generous serving. Felt healthy but not boring. Just wish we were local to try the rest of the menu! Can't recommend highly enough.

Great value and very different. A must visit - helps if the sun is shining as have to eat there and then as no dining facilities - the promenade does just nicely!

Great place. The classic chicken dirty fries were amazing. We did have to wait a bit for the food (20-25 minutes) but it was worth it for the quality and taste. Ate the food on Sheringham beach- perfect. Only criticism I would have is Google maps says that the shack is slightly further down than the road than it actually is. Was pretty easy to find but could be made easier for visitors! Any chance of regular pop ups in Norwich?!

Amazing food, the halloumi and avocado options are highly recommended. 100% worth the visit but book ahead online or you will likely be turned away. Food took a while to be ready even after booking but it was still nice and warm.

Food looks amazing online but very disappointed that website doesn't state you need to preorder food as order slots run out. We planned to eat there tonight and found out once we'd added all our food to the basket that we couldn't. Website needs to be much clearer and not just show 15min wait time for collection

Fat Teds is a delightful food shack situated just off the High Street in Sheringham packing a heavy dose of flavours which smacks at your taste buds and is a much needed tonic to the usual seaside Fish & Chips. We ordered the Dirty Fries with Cems Famous Chicken and I can say I'm still thinking about those flavours a week later, they were divine!! We also ordered the Halloumi, Hummus and Avo burger, which I had to wrestle the Mrs over to get a bite, and the the Chipotle Chilli Beef Brisket fries which were packing a good punch in the tastebuds. The staff were super friendly and very helpful, I cannot recommend this absolute genuine gem of a establishment enough, make sure you go here, you will not be disappointed!

Ordered the food via the website, picked a time and then went down to collect, would recommend ordering first to avoid the que. Food was ready on time , and tasted amazing. Sat down on the sea edge.

Haven't eaten there yet but it smells AMAZING - Update ive finally have eaten here. It was delicious the fries were lovely and hot and I was happy surprised to find the burger bun tasted like tiger bread which is my favourite. It was fabulous 👌 definitely will have to come here again on my next Sheringham visit 😀 Although I don't know how FatTeds isn't already a chain restaurant I would die for another one in my town 😀

The food here might be phenomenal, but I have no idea. You're not a street food vendor if you need to make people wait 1hr for their food... Simply wouldn't survive anywhere else. I queued for 15minutes to learn this, in which time only two people received their food... It's a shame, looks great but if people can't easily get that food then so what, might as well be looking at Instagram

Thought I would try this based on previous reviews. Unfortunately I was disappointed. Told to come back at a certain time, went back only for the food to be 10 minutes later than told. And no apology when my food was ready. I understand they are busy, but common courtesy costs no time. The halloumi fries were very tasty and you got a good portion size. The wrap was not the best I had, lots of onion,the chicken seemed dry to me. Not what I had hoped for after such a long wait.

Don’t want to give you a bad review as I never actually tried the food but was disappointed to discover your takeaway food ‘shack’ was ‘fully booked’ at 6.30pm on a Tuesday evening? As we drove past there was no one outside? How are visitors supposed to know it is ‘bookings’ only?

Well worth the wait. Failed on previous occasions to get served as it is so popular. Pre ordering online was far easier. Loved the pulled beef brisket and the chips were fabulous and crispy even with toppings on. Can’t wait to try the chicken next time.

Really nice food as always, had cems famous chicken dirty fries, partner had spicy beef chilli dirty fries and kids had chicken nuggets and chips. Good sized portions and really nice food kids really enjoyed it as well. Would definitely recommend and will be returning.

looked great but unfortunately wasn't for me. I thought the chips were awful, hard, no taste and just meh. wasn't a fan of the meat either and unfortunately most of it went in the bin.

I have to say the loaded fries are very tasty and good value. However beware waiting times can be excessive. We tried to order at 7pm and told 1hr 20 wait time! Then told us to go to the pop up 15 minutes down the road as they were much quicker. We got there and they said 1 hour wait! So that was frustrating but the food is good

I had the dirty fries and chicken and it was so nice, I nearly finished the large and you get a massive portion for just £6. Thank you for a lovely dinner.

Better chips than any of the fish n chip takeaways. The food is so delicious and nice to have a salad box option when you're all carb'd out. We went at least three times on the same holiday and would recommend if you're walking up and ordering, do it by 5.30pm if you want to eat around 7pm in peak holiday times.

Chose this place as lots of good hype around it. Didn’t want anything too heavy so I ordered the beef brisket salad. I got a huge portion of raw onions and not much else. The beef was so caked in tomato purée taste that I couldn’t enjoy the meat. Sorry guys but I think you should rethink the salad. My partner really enjoyed his meal but mine went to waste :(

Ordered from Fat Teds after a long day sightseeing. Garlic chicken wrap was delicious. Very good service too. The amazing smells wafting from the kiosk drew us in and we weren't disappointed. Would definitely recommend .

Awesome food. We had the veggie options of a halloumi salad bowl and dirty fries. Both were lovely, a great alternative to fish and chips when you are on holiday. I would definetely go back here and its decent value for the money.

Absolutely amazing burgers! The best I ever had by far! We came from London for a little break and to be honest we were more into fish and chips 😜but luckily we tried Fat Ted’s street food! Fresh and tasty food and plenty of it. All wrapped to take away. We had the signature chucked dish and the beef brisket. A generous portion served on a bed of salad with at least 4 different salads in each part of the box. So tasty and healthy. Friendly team who answered our many questions about gluten free options and even did us some special fries to share as a side. Totally full now but in a good way. Highly recommend and will definitely return next time we are in the area.

Having spent the last few days watching “Rate my takeaway “ on YouTube I thought I needed a treat. Whilst in Sheringham I thought I’d give Fat Teds a try as I’d heard good things about it. We ordered a chicken flatbread and dirty nachos to share and waited approx 15 mins.. (we weren’t aware you could order and collect and will do that next time). To cut a long story short, WOW! Portions were big, the taste was top notch and the quality of ingredients shone through. It cost £12.00 for the wrap and nachos and easily fed the two of us. I can see why it’s got rave reviews. Good menu, done well and the cardboard packaging and wooden forks were a nice eco friendly touch. This is how street food should be.. do something, do it well and it will sell itself. I’ll be back for more

The young man taking the orders was very polite, helpful and was respectfully wearing a mask, even though he was outside. The food was freshly cooked and really delicious. We had the Dirty Fries with Halloumi, Hummus and Avocado. It was beautifully presented, and was served in an eco friendly cardboard box with a wooden fork. Definitely worth a visit if you’re passing.

We have eaten here before when they first started and back then things were great you could taste the effort and passion that went into their food, But this time it was the opposite. We were not asked or given the option of any size other than the largest and we opted for the Chipotle chilli beef brisket loaded nachos. The brisket itself hit your mouth with some heat of what tasted like a generic packet mix of chilli no hint of Chipotle what so ever. Then as the heat disappeared the brisket left in the mouth was actually pretty tasteless and bland, The only real flavour came from the small cubes of blue cheese added. As for portion size it looked great at first but you have a good size box filled with nachos and the a couple of spoons of brisket spread out to give the impression that it is indeed as it says loaded. All this took around 15 minutes of waiting despite only 1 other person before us but great you think nice hot fresh as food, but again another let down as warm food at best. I feel with the growth of popularity they have lost or compromised the passion and flavours they started with.

Amazing food! We have traveled up from Manchester for a short break and there is a fish and chip shop on every corner! So was great to find a bite to eat that was a little different from the norm! The staff are lovely and polite and nothing is too much trouble. The chipotle chilli chicken burger was amazing along with the garlic chicken dirty fries! Would definitely recommend this place to anybody in Sheringham looking for a nice bite to eat! See you in a year guys! 🔥

Staying in the area for a staycation and saw the great reviews, so we wanted to give it a go. We were staying 2 mins walk around the corner so we turned up and placed an order as the online orders were closed. We had a beef brisket burger, halloumi flatbread and chicken dirty fries between us and it was DELICIOUS! Would really recommend.

Recommended by a friend and they were not wrong! Generous portions reasonably priced. My other half had the nachos and halloumi fries, and said they were delicious. The garlic chicken burger (the bun was awesome) was fabulous. Would recommend the brisket as a topper/topping. Great for lunch or early evening meal.

Waited just under an hour for a Halloumi flatbread and fries - Or should I say a red onion flatbread with a hint of halloumi, that also had a hair in it! 🤢 The only reason I found that out is because I opened the wrap to take out the sheer amount of onion that had been put inside. If I had of known how much red onion would have been in there I never would have ordered it. May I advise hair nets to all your staff - There is nothing worse than finding a stranger's hair in your dinner. It's only saving grace are the fries, my children loved it, they had chicken dirty fries, and polished them off well. I was really disappointed though, expecting more for £28, how they presented themselves, and also the positive reviews (which is why we went there in the first place!!). It was very expensive for what it was, and if i didn't live 2 and a half hours away... eating as we drove (I didn't eat my flatbread, just my fries)... I would of taken it all back and caused a real fuss. Not happy.

Ordered 2 halloumi flat breads, chips and 2xchicken dirty fries. The dirty fries were excellent the kids said and they ate the lot which says alot. The chips were also excellent, can't fault them. Then come the red onion flatbread with halloumi. At £6 each, we literally got a red onion with some red cabbage and 2 slices of halloumi. If we hadn't already waited 50mins for that we'd of taken it back. The service was also polite and friendly. 4 slices of halloumi short of 5 stars.

Omg this place is a must try if your ever in Sheringham. We come to Sheringham all the time and dont now how I've missed this place but will certainly be back now i know where you are !! The food is amazing and there's something for everyone even for the fussy eaters. Staff are friendly and our order was dealt with so quickly so definitely recommend using the online ordering app. A☆☆☆☆ from us.

My partner and I first heard about Fat Teds whilst researching evening food vendors for our wedding. So we drove to Sheringham to try the food. It was immense! The variation and quality was outstanding. We had tried A LOT of similar food vendors, but we knew instantly that we'd found the one we wanted! We proceeded to book our evening catering with Fat Teds, and they made every step of the process comfortable and easy. They adapted the type of food and size of the portions to suit our wedding day, and the price was more than reasonable. Unfortunately, my partner and I had to postpone our wedding from July 2020 to March 2021, and Fat Teds happily moved their service over to the new date without any increase in price. We have recently had to cancel the March wedding as well, again due to Covid. Our plan is to marry in 2023 now, and with this being so far in the future, and the potential for the day to look different to our current plan, we set about asking suppliers for refunds. Needless to say, Fat Teds refunded us our full deposit instantly,and did not keep any money for admin or planning costs, which some other suppliers have done. My partner and I could not be happier with their service, the quality of the food we tried, and the compassion they have dealt with the wedding cancellation. They really have made it much easier. Although nothing can be certain at the moment, I can say with some degree of confidence that we will be rebooking with Fat Teds for our 2023 wedding. Olly and Jess

We had a party for my sons 18th birthday in our garden, post lockdown so only 30 allowed. Fat Ted's catered for the everyone, vegan, vegetarian and carnivores. The great standard of Fat Ted's in Sheringham was equally matched, the food was delicious and 'woofed' up very quickly. The set up was fantastic, Sarah and Cem from the team arrived promptly, parking up in the drive and within half an hour the orders for good were ready to be taken. Its a really efficient system, all the food hot and nobody missed out. Having Fat Ted's took out all the hassle of doing your own food and missing the party celebrations, and best of all no food waste or washing up.!! You'd be 'barking' mad to not have them cater your party.... Sorry for the puns Ted.
