Farmhouse Grill in Winchester

Pizza burnt and tasteless Been here before and loved it but after this never again. We had other stuff which was OK but it's the pizza we come for but it was burnt.

This used to be an excellent kebab shop before they changed ownership. Supreme Kebab is now awful - Beef Sausages at a Turkish restaurant seemed like a good idea. Turns out they were just chip shop sausages with less meat than a box of vegetables. The sausages had spent far too much time in the deep fat fryer and were burnt, dry, hard and tasted of dirty oil. Went in the bin pretty quickly after eating a few of the also not great cheesy chips. Even if you are desperate, give it a miss, if you check the bins outside you can probably find many discarded takeaways from Supreme Kebab for free.

Terrible meal again! Always been hit and miss but kebab was rubbish hardly any toppings I asked for and they forgot my daughters drink for about the 6th time.

Well what can I say apart from rubbish. Ordered a XL doner with salad and mayo and 2 separate pittas. Order arrived no separate pitta also rock hard, no salad, no mayo. Called supreme kebabs and asked what’s happened and was told do not call this number again!! Certainly will not use again. Beware people

I ordered to celebrate special news with my family at 16:30. When the food arrived my wife opened the chill sauce first and said it smelt bad. I then opened the kebab platter and noticed everything was charred. Upon closer inspection the meat was also rotten (see pictures). I phoned to complain and they kept on saying the manager was busy and would call me back. After the fourth attempt the manager spoke to me and insisted everything was fresh and would provide a discount on the next order. This was a £50 order and I could not eat any of it and expected a full refund. I shall be reporting this to the food standards agency first thing in the morning as clearly can be seen from the images the food was bad and they deliberately tried to char it in order to disguise how bad it was.

New owners. Delivery was late, tried to call but phone number dead. Went to store thinking was closed down but new owners said they don’t use a phone! Online only. A bit bizarre and unheard of. Especially because having returned home to the late delivered takeaway given to my wife - O opened the box and one cheese burger had no cheese, no instructions were followed despite paying extra for miscellaneous requests such as Separate salad and separate sauce. Kebab was like the pet food given to drunk teenagers and salad is already looking rotten the next day after leaving in fridge. Last owners were far more professional. I can only hope this business improves or disappears.

I visited in person and ordered a large chicken shish as a treat on the way home about 8pm on a Saturday (tonight) and was asked what salad I wanted which all went without error. I was then asked if I wanted sauce and requested 2 sauces on the side. I waited outside and collected my order within 10 minutes. Having arrived home I have both chilli and garlic sauce dripping off the chicken and a salad on the side. It's inedible to me as I cannot handle the chilli on the chicken and wouldn't ever mix the sauces. The salad is a lot smaller than if it had been put in the kebab.

Tried it twice, since it changed its name. This used to be the best in the area. It is now easily the worst. Kebab meat thrown in the bin, unedable, chicken order wrong both times, and also thrown in the bin. Prices up around 50% and not worth £1 Don’t go here, we won’t be again

We used to use this place all the time when it was the Farmhouse Grill. The portions were large and the prices were reasonable. Staff were friendly and usually food was always cooked to order. The place has now been refurbished and is now called Supreme Kebab. I did recognise one guy from before, but it looks like it has changed hands. The food is still pretty good, although the portion sizes have shrunk dramatically and the cost has escalated immensely. Sadly having spent just shy of £50 for three kebabs and a side of chips, I felt cheated. We won't be coming back, so our 12 year love affair is now over.

I have used this takeaway for years, now it has been taken over and refurbished I thought I would try again, they have added £3 to dinner meat and chips so now paying a tenner for a few chips and some kebab meat, they have discarded half of what was in the menu and got rid of the charcoal grill. This used to be the best kebab shop in Winchester and now is the most expensive and potions are smaller than ever before but at least they have a nice new TV to watch as they won’t be busy serving as no one will use at these prices, from now on will be using German Doner kebab from now on, stay away from here but now called Supreme Doner Kebab, only thing that is supreme is the prices

Absolutely terrible. Ever since this has been taken over the portion sizes are horrendous. Only for enough for a child. The prices have gone up aswell The taste was just not how it used to be Wish it had never been taken over coz now I will not ever return. They have ruined what used to be a brilliant take out

Shocking food for the price, that much sauce on it the meat was cold. And this was £18 and supposed to be XL. Don't waste your money.

Rung to complain about hair in the food.. accused of “making excuses” & it being my “own hair.” As a guy with a grade 0-1 it’s definitely not my own. Disgusting customer service. Rude, and ignorant attitude. Won’t be using ever again and certainly won’t be recommending. Steer clear.

I order 3 times and never again !!!! Always missing something but now DELIVERY NEVER ARRIVE !!!! I check CCTV from front door and complain next day - no money back , no food and manager said "is nothing what I can do because driver delivered food " So very poor management and delivery driver idiots !!!!!!

We collect as they are close, the staff are always very friendly. The food is always ready on time. We order online. And it is really very tasty

I order from these guys a lot and they always deliver a perfect babby. There's no point going to that other one near the station cuz it sucks farmhouse grill is the best. They give you loads of meat as well for quite cheap and their wraps are always huge they don't skimp on the good stuff! Will be ordering from them for years to come. Their cookies are also the best tasting cookies in the world whenever me and my housemate order them we just stand there like how did they even pull this off??? AND the delivery drivers are always extremely polite and friendly.

Last Friday night I ordered online. Delivery was about 1hr which is fine as it’s a busy evening. But the food was stone cold when it arrived. So this Friday I decided to pop in to collect our order. Again the shop was busy as you’d expect on a Friday. I then stood there for 40minutes. Once I realised other orders behind me were leaving I enquired how long my order would be only to find it sitting on the side for delivery. Again stone cold when I got home. SORT IT OUT!!!!! I love your grilled meats hot or at least warm.

False advertisation and when i tried to call for them to give me part of my order they missed they wouldnt have any of it, i mean how is potato wedges with cheesy chips just potato wedges with cheese, thats not what it says on the menu

Once again i pay exctra to have my salad seperate and it dosenrt tern up 4th time in a row now wont be odering for delivery again

Take away and delivery for the 2nd time in 2 weeks. This used to be a very good take away but unfortunately has now got very poor. A lack of chicken in kebabs is one reason. Also practically lukewarm kebabs and very soggy chips when it arrived does nothing for them . Not sure what has gone wrong but would think loads of deliveries are done at the same time making ours the last drop . I would suggest like the rest of the takeaways up Weeke , that you change your attitudes to customers otherwise you will not have any. At the end of the day you need all the customers you can get due to the circumstances . I wont be one of them. This was takeaway and did not visit

We order frequently enough, usually order the same thing as well. With the kebab we order salad but pay 30p to have salad sent separate. For the second time in 2 weeks we’ve had no salad at all. I know it seems trivial, but that’s half my meal considering I just have the salad and chips. Unable to call them as they never answer the phone. Since it’s happened twice now we won’t be ordering again. Otherwise we’ll continue to pay for something we never get.As well as this when the food gets here we’re having to heat it up in the microwave, which never used to happen.

3 hour wait on a delivery which is not acceptable! Phone off the line and can't even send a email as they don't have one

Currently sat waiting for my food delivery which was ordered at 6:32 it is now 9:04 still no food. Also tried ringing the shop over 30 times and just says user busy An absolute joke cannot get in contact with anyone shocking

Great family business for takeaway. I did a pick up order, staff are super friendly always greet you when you come in. My family are veggie so takeaways not always easy. Ingredients are fresh and tasty, we ordered falafel and halloumi pittas and a veggie burger for child. Empty plates all round! Very generous servings and reasonably priced. Will be back!

Never had any issues with this place. Always gives us great food! And they are so friendly. Ignore the bad reviews!

Popped in this lunchtime as I was working in the area, ordered a chicken and bacon burger and was expecting the standard frozen bread crum thing you usually get but was in fact a grilled butterfly breast fillet nice cheeky lunch Would recommend if passing and peckish.

Wow, the pizzas are better than Dominoes, Pizza Hut and all the big game players well impressed as this is also an Awesome kebab shop which are so big & most friendly staff the owner ever so helpful in understanding customer likes ands dislikes you order and you get what you want wow pizza was superb

This is a real cut above the usual kebab house. Spotlessly clean and really good quality food. I’ve used this place many times and really don’t understand some of the negative reviews. Try it for yourself - it’s good. Trust me.

2nd week in a row the meal was delivered but missing several orders, last week chips arrived 30 minsafter delivery this week 2 portions of chips missing, after complaining management wouldn't replace full order but offered refund under duress but insisted returning delivered items, what a waste of food! Such a shame as food is good if you can get what you order.

When this place opened it was brilliant. Over the last couple of years it just gets worse on every visit.Thought I'd give it another go since last disappointing visit some months ago... Should have read my review and not bothered.Slow service and the final product was poor in every way possible.

We used to order from here all the time and the food was great. The last 2 orders have not been great. The lamb shish kebab was really greasy and even though there are options on the site for which and how much salad you want.... It doesn't arrive as requested ( a small sprinkling of red cabbage even though I requested extra and 1 green chilli even though I requested extra!!) . My partner said his pizza was also not nearly as good as they used to be... Masses of peppers and barely any meat. I should have phoned to complain but we were all starving hungry so we ate it and moaned about it!!! We will be finding a new takeaway to order from

Used many of times, mostly good! But the last couple was not brilliant. Husband has a chicken shish with all salad and mayo, chicken turned up stone cold. Phoned them up and they said it was because you had salad and mayo so it would make it cold. ( RUBBISH!!) many times we’ve had before and lovely and warm. Tonight, ordered the same and well what can I say.... complained about a few things after the delivery and was told by the owner “don’t phone us again or use us again” WILL NEVER USE AGAIN DUE TO ATTITUDE

the women that took my order was to busy talking to someone else to listen to what i asked for. when my order came they had put it in pitta bread instead of wraps that i had asked for. instead of apologising she said it was my fault for not asking for wraps, what ever happened to customer service. you have just lost a customer hope you learn from this.

Still freshly grilled meat over charcoal, still the tastiest in town but the service can vary if the boss man isn't present to help translate for you and guide the staff. Today he was in and out and we had to help correct the order as it was made.The actual ordering was fine and seemed understood. I think issues can occur when different tasks are passed around as things are put together especially if you are deviating from standard.Wife : lamb shish in pitta with no onions and chilli and garlic sauces - no problems with this oneSon : lamb shish wrap with garlic mayo, onions and tomato - no issues here either.Daughter : fries with some of my meat, ketchup - OK once understood about the meat, that took a couple of goes.Myself : large shish wrap (meat donation) with chilli and garlic sauce and onions separate salad - wrap OK, salad forgotten but corrected without problem.It's pretty much the same order each time and if the boss is there I think he translates out the "problems" more clearly and keeps things on track. If absent it is likely that errors can creep in more easily. And if delivery or on-line order you may not notice until you have the food at home.I'd still highly rate this place for the quality of the food (though my wife said the chilli sauce this time seemed a lot hotter than normal - I loved it) and for accommodating small changes without complaint.

We had mixed chicken and doner kebab and this was the best kebab we ever eat. Service was very fast and portion of food was massive( we buy one medium and two large and any of us wasn't able to eat everything) .

Took an age for quite a simple order to be completed... Could have driven in to town to get food to save time! Food was fine once it arrived.

Así que cada pocas semanas me gusta probar un nuevo restaurante de comida para llevar y tengo que decir que este es uno de los mejores. Pedimos una combinación de kebabs, queso, beicon hamburguesa + comida nuggets de pollo queso chili, y palomitas. El kebab de carne es de muy buena calidad, y te dan un montón de ensalada y carne para arrancar! La hamburguesa es también muy sabroso, particularmente su queso y bacon, que en realidad parecía fresco y con poca grasa. Los nuggets de pollo y eran un elemento destacado; ambas eran tan agradable Mi familia comió todos ellos muy rápidamente!

This place does freshly cooked bbq shish. Friendly staff. Try not to visit too often but rather addictive. Lucky to live nearby.

Nos hicimos un pedido ayer por la una de las comidas que mal! Pedimos un mezclado con patatas y carne döner acabo un doner kebab! El otro kebab no tenían la salsa correcta! Cuando llamamos para quejarnos nos dijeron que están demasiado ocupados para llevar el orden correcto, así que solo hay que tener lo que tuvimos! Yo no estaba contento con esto, así que llegamos a un acuerdo la próxima vez pedí que tendría el mismo orden gratis. . . . Bien me equivoqué, llamé de nuevo esta noche para conseguir nuestra orden gratis dijeron que tendremos que dedicar 8 libras para cubrir la entrega para que luego chuck en 1 plato gratis? Me sorprende que Hacienda Grill ha recibido críticas negativas, ya que han estado disfrutando de su comida desde que abrieron hace unos años. Siempre son amables, serviciales y eficientes; el kebabs son preciosas, especialmente el cordero shish - usan cortes de carne y las buenas ensaladas son frescas y abundantes. Los kebabs están siempre llenos de "atasco" completo y preparado a la perfección. Gracias chicos.

WOW JUST WOW WHAT A VILE, DISGUSTING, DISGRACEFUL SHOCKING MANNER!! Ordered food tonight it arrived with both chips cold and burger was drowning in mayo. wrap and mushrooms were fine. Phoned up to be spoken to by the manager who said the chips wouldn't be hot because it had to be delivered I disagreed as no other take out dose that to be told I was just complaining about the whole order. I disagreed again then he continued to argue with me calling me a lier and crazy! Which is a insult! He then said that I'm just being fussy and complaining as he had no other complaint tonight. I said so what if u haven't had any complaints my chips are cold I'm complaining I would like some some fresh ones to be told NO your crazy your crazy and he hung up. Absolutely disgusting way to speak to customers! Will definitely will not be ordering from there again being spoken to in that manner! SHOW SOME RESPECT TO YOUR CUSTOMERS!! Clearly the boss needs a rethink of what running a business is!! A poor lady was in charge last week whilst we were there and she is telling the guys "chefs" what to do and they can't understand her there so just stood and laughed at her!! I felt so sorry for her and absolutely disgraced that she had to stand there and be laughed at when everything she was saying to them was right!! They don't have any manners treating her like that. The food was good that's the only reason I have given it 2 stars but the way that poor girl got treated it shouldn't even be that!! That poor girl needs a raise for dealing with what she did!!!!

Waited an hour for delivery and was told it was en route. After a further 15 minutes, I rang again to be told I'd given them the wrong address, refused to accept that they'd written it incottectly, and they put the phone down. I rang back requesting a fresh order as it had now allegedly been cooked for half an hour. He refused, told me not to call again and put the phone down. Appalling customer service.

We ordered two main meals and two portions of chips, when it arrived both chips where there but only one main, we phone up and they said yes they had not sent out the other and would do so. I would not have posted this without the following when we asked if the could send a fresh portion of chips as the first would be cold they said they would have to charge us for them ! Food quality was good and delivery driver nice but really !!

Tonight my family and I decided to order from farmhouse. All loyal customers, one family member has had a couple of bad experiences recently with customer service. However we still felt they were good enough for us! Trying to call up the phone was being ignore and hung up on us. After over 20 calls attempted from 3 different phones we decided to drive and order there. *we decided against the online service as our disgruntled family me member had been ignored through that way of ordering* When we arrived at the shop all 3 'chefs' were stood around looking bored and grump. The very rude and unhappy lady took our order while bossing about the 'chefs' as if they were 5 year olds. When in the shop I tried calling them, to which I saw a man behind the back hanging up my phone calls. The three 'chefs' asked us whether we wanted salad/sauces etc but didn't understand our answers - which were basic one word answers. I would suggest either completely avoiding or only collecting but being very aware of the rude ignorant 'lady' taking your order.

Once again we ordered our food and once again we were let down by poor service. We ordered our food to be delivered and after 1 hour 15 mins our food still hadn't turned up!! When you try to call them to chase it up they turn the answer machine on so they don't need to deal with angry customers. After this happened first time we decided to give them a second chance but not only has it happened again but this time when it eventually turned up it was also very greasy!!! When we did get hold of them to complain about the poor experience we were told "when it goes wrong it goes wrong" no apologies. I will be and encourage you all to avoid this shambles of a food outlet like the plague!!

I always used to say you couldn't beat Winchester Kebab Shop, but since Kenny left the food has gone downhill. I decided to try the farmhouse grill and I wasn't disappointed. The lamb and chicken shish were very tasty. Not sure if the chilli sauce is homemade but it was ok. It's certainly worth a try.

Donna meat and chips £4.90 was charged £5.90.. This was 30 minutes ago. Good food but I feel they will rip you off as much As they can of they feel that they can. Was served by animal with purpleish glasses. Won't be going again, not because the food is bad but because they offered a service and set price and charged a quid more than the menu stated. I regret not asking for a receipt to prove my point further. Id avoid only of you don't want to be ripped off. For food though I can't argue.

We had a family get together and decided to order a large takeaway, we were hoping for good things but what arrived was mank! After waiting nearly an hour the food arrived, we dished up and tucked straight in. The looks on everyone's faces said there was something wrong, the food was vile. All the meat was tainted with this horrible taste, it's hard to describe but i can only think the meat was off, or old. As hungry as we were the food just couldn't be eaten. A call was made to the takeaway and a grumpy woman told us that all takeaways have bad days and that was that! We'd have to lump it, the phone was then put down on us!! Another call was made back immediately and we were told that the takeaway "was very busy and our complaint could not be dealt with"!!!!!! The arrogance of these people! Around an hour after eating some of this food, three members of our party started to feel dodgy and ended up being sick, this lasted several hours then passed, we put this down to the muck the farmhouse grill served up. We are seriously considering putting in an official complaint to the health authorities after this episode. I would advise anyone looking for late night food, or just looking for something to eat *not* to order from this place. The staff have very little regard for what gets sent out and even less care about people getting ill from what they try and pass as kebabs.

Another member of my family has already submitted a review tonight relating to our food order and the attitude of the staff at the farmhouse grill when a complaint was made over the phone. This is my take on the food that was delivered. We ordered a family treat after a long day out, what arrived was absolutely grim. The food looked good but just couldn't be eaten, the taste throughout the meal was horrible, you couldn't taste any other flavours other than salt. It was so salty that you just couldn't eat it, it ended up making me feel ill. Hard earned money was paid out on this substandard food and the people at farmhouse grill couldn't care less that people have been made to feel sick. The food was returned to the takeaway and a paltry refund was given. They should be ashamed of themselves! Rubbish food, rubbish attitude and will never recommend or buy from again. SHAME ON YOU FARMHOUSE GRILL!

I ordered 45 quids worth of food from this place tonight and what arrives was in-edible, the worst takeaway i have ever had in my life! The meat was overly salty, so much so that it ruined the rest of the meal, we just couldn't eat it. (I MEAN REALLY, REALLY, REALLY SALTY) My young son started to feel ill as he ate his, at which point i phoned farmhouse grill. The woman on the end of the phone told me some mistake had been made with the way the lamb had been prepared (NO KIDDING!!!!!!!!!!) On my own meal there was no pitta supplied (45 quid!) and everything had to be reheated. I'm sat here now feeling ill because of what i ate. I've never ever sent a takeaway back before, but this really was dire, this was the worst food i've ever paid hard earned money for. The owner/manager didn't want to talk to me on the phone, apparently he can't speak good English, what a copout! Farmhouse grill are more concerned with bringing in the cash than sending out decent quality food. I gave them the option of a full refund and they could collect the rubbish they delivered, they gave me a £12.50 refund and took the food away!!!! A TOTAL JOKE!!!!!! I would never, ever recommend this place, the food was the worst i've ever tasted, and i've eaten some rubbish in my time! If they had been sincere, given a full refund and the manager had apologised i would have let it go, but no, they wanted the food back and me to shut up. The inside of our mouths now feel foul. DISGUSTING FOOD, DISGUSTING ATTITUDE. I advise you to go elsewhere and buy a kebab!!!

Farmhouse grill is now our no 1 choice for a kebab! Not greasy, salad is fresh, the meat is cooked very well and the delivery is very quick! Perfectly yummy!

After visiting an elderly relative in the area we were a little hungry and this outlet is just around the corner and was a quick fix.Food was ok and reasonable in price, would I use again - probably not.

Freshly cooked good burger and chips, nice range of add-ons, only problem was chef did not speak english entirely clearly- when asked if I wanted cheese it turned out to be chilli!!

Really big portions we had lamb doner and chicken doner very tasty, we have had burgers before but they were not as good they tasted very cheap no meaty taste

By far this is the best kebab place in Winchester and it's close to home and you can (sometimes) park outside. There are a couple of tables available but mostly it's takeaway.Besides kebab there are burgers and fried chicken but it's the kebabs that are really tasty. Now avoid the donner as this is the usual "elephants foot" affair but the shish are freshly cooked over charcoal and you can have them in a wrap instead of the normal pitta. Warning that if you order large this will over flow the wrap and not be easy to eat on the hoof but as I take them home and use a plate it's not an issue. The chilli sauce is a "fresh" made one rather than simply squeezed out of a tube and the salad has been good too, even I will eat their cabbage!There are various mixes of kebab on the menu and some options a likely to be enough for more than one. The staff are friendly and you can chat (well when we went it wasn't busy).I'd heartily recommend this place but it is really a cafe/takeaway so not for an elegant evening out.
