Fallow in City of London, Westminster

The food was simply incredible! All the flavors were nicely associated we loved every dishes we took! The atmosphere at Fallow was super nice, we were at the bar was a very nice spot. But we wanted to share a special mention to the service which was amazing! Our server was super attentive and helpful which made for a perfect evening!

Poor overall. Food was undercooked and no taste. Waited 40 mins between starters and main asking twice for them to check. Service was inattentive even to the point of holding out payment 3 waiters walked past and ignored. So many options for good restaurants in London this is definitely at the bottom of our list on every level.

My girlfriend had booked us a table to celebrate my birthday and had said such when booking the table, we were placed at the back of the restaurant in a dimly lit corner in a very cramped restaurant. The tables were far too close together, so close that I described it has feeling like we’re in a McDonald’s. We were offered water when our menus came but then no further service, the whole night we had to personally ask our waiter for drinks.. of which we received two. We had the corn ribs, mushroom parfait, kombu fries and the ribeye on the bone.. which wasn’t on the bone. The food was okay, but didn’t warrant spending the amount we did. We’ve been left feeling like it’s a restaurant that is selling otherwise unwanted waste products tarted up to feel premium, in a very cramped environment with poor waiting staff. Would not recommend.

Took my son for lunch today, as it’s his 21st birthday. He’s a chef, in part because he was fascinated by Fallow’s YouTube channel a couple of years ago. We had an amazing time! The service, provided by Melih, was excellent: informative, friendly and charming. The food was great: we had beef short ribs, followed by sirloin, and both dishes were incredible. We also got a complimentary dessert, for the birthday, which was a very nice touch. Overall, we absolutely loved it! Wonderful atmosphere, great food and service: 10/10, no notes.

We sat in comfortable surroundings outside on this sunny day. The menu was enticing as so many delicious sounding options. Every dish was really tasty and generous in size, many big enough to share. Worth trying the cocktsils as well! Really enjoyable experience.

Nice, buzzy ambience with solid appetisers and aperitifs, but our main- the short rib burger was dry with limited seasoning..tasted like a bland brisket rather than a juicy burger..but what was really annoying and that detracted from the overall experience was that they added a 15% ‘optional’ tip to the bill..if it is indeed optional why is it automatically added to the bill? They also added a 2 pound donation to one of their charities.. again, as a matter of principle, they should be asking patrons whether they would like to donate rather than adding it to the bill. For the price - there are better places in London

Absolutely fabulous experience, lovely ambience, amazing food and the most excellent customer service. Quite luxurious on the pricing but well worth it for a special occasion.

Wonderful, unique spot in the heart of London. We were gifted a voucher for our anniversary and we were not disappointed. We had 3 courses of wonderful food that was exciting, fresh and tasty. Fully recommend this venue on a visit to London because of interesting and innovative menu and the unique and welcoming atmosphere.

Lovely restaurant. Great staff and good fantastic. Good wine choices too. Can recommend although booking essential. Will be back when next in London

We popped in for a celebratory lunch mid-week and enjoyed the set lunch menu alongside a few drinks. Try the Oyster Shell Martini, the 'Nduja & Goats Curd Focaccia and have the dry-aged steak if you get the chance - it's transcendent (when they say 'dry aged', they mean it). Oh and the Mushroom Parfait and the Corn Ribs - you can't go wrong. Not hugely impressed by the 'Pierre Koffman-inspired' fries, nor am I sure the great Gascon would be either. Top notch service and you can enjoy the spectacle of the kitchen in full swing if you sit in the dining room. All in all would 110% recommend. Thanks guys.

Unfortunately it didn’t live up to the hype…for the prices it charges, it needs to be exceptional and it was just good. The Cods head was very nice, but all other meals quite standard. What frustrated me the most was 15% service fee. If you’re going to charge more than average for this, then you need to be very good. It was ok, very busy, waiters covering too many tables. Certainly not worthy of a £50 tip and after I removed and paid the tip I felt just in cash, I was made to feel incredibly awkward as all the staff shook their heads around me. Won’t return and wouldn’t recommend to others

I’d seen the hype on social media so booked for my better half’s birthday. Fantastic meal, staff were very friendly and super accommodating. Didn’t have a bad bite everything was fantastic, we had around 8 dishes and notably the mushroom parfait, steak and whey tart (might be my favourite dessert ever) were exceptional. Thanks for making my girlfriend’s birthday so great.

My wife booked us into Fallow as a Birthday Treat as I had seen this restaurant online. The food and service did not disappoint and the food is well balanced and I would definitely recommend the corn ribs were epic. Definitely a place to visit if you are a foody, simple food mage magical.

Very good Sunday lunch. Good choice of meat and excellent vegetables Yorkshire pudding very light, just like mother used to make. Starters very good and interesting. Would like to visit again. We did think the roast was a bit expensive, but it was good.

I follow the Fallow YouTube channel, and can see that Will and Jack are outstanding chef’s. However I was slightly disappointed with our experience. We had a selection of 8 small and snack plates with 3 main courses. The venison tartare and the beef ribs were very good, but the rest of the food was pretty average in my opinion. I really like Fallows philosophy to be a sustainable restaurant using the likes of venison and cods head, but it didn’t quite work for me. For a sharing menu, it’s clunky and the food options don’t really work together. The atmosphere in the resultant is buzzing, the open kitchen and central bar gives the place a real vibe and the decor is very cool. On reflection I had high expectations knowing how good the two head chefs can cook, but in reality it’s a large restaurant in a tourist hotspot in London (but the prices are reasonable).

A fantastic Sunday Lunch today and the beef was lovely however the portion was small. What I had was delicious but would have liked more. Also would have liked more horseradish sauce which was on the mild side. Did I enjoy it all absolutely. Would I return probably not as there are also other London Restaurants providing a great Sunday Lunch. It you have never been it’s worth a trip.

If you're looking for a one of a kind, mouthwatering dining experience then Fallow is definetly the place for you. As soon as my girlfriend and I entered we were immediatelty greeted with smiles and were quickly escorted to our table. Our server Toby was absolutely amazing, attentive and kind, truly one of the best servers I have ever experienced. We bought two sharing platters of the Smoked Beef Ribs snd the Curried Sausage to start. The ribs literally fell off the bone and was so juicy and tender and had us left wanting more, the sausage had me cutting it into tiny portions so that I could have as much of the delicious curry sauce as possible. During our starters our server Toby kept refilling our water glasses and asking if we were alright for drinks. I myself had the Picaadilly cocktail which was nice and boozy, just the way I like it. My girlfriend had the Rhubarb and Custard Gin Spritz which in the end was so delicous that we ended having another 3 between us.. The minute our mains arrived they immediately smelled amazing, I had the Rarebreed Pork which i had to stop myself from licking the plate because it was so delicious. My girlfriend had the rump steak with fries that looked unbelievable and tasted even better. Once we had finished with our meal we both disussed sitting at the bar for a couple of drinks aftter and right as we had said that, our server Toby came over and said that our seats at the bar were ready, all without even asking. That is what I call an amazing server, someone who is attentive and listens all without you knowing. We both came out of the restaurant feeling like every penny was worth it and personally I wouldn't have been too bothered about emptying my bank account for the quality that we were given. A must go if you're ever looking for ther perfect date night out. 100/10

Honestly not worth the hype. Strange meal this was, on one hand I had some wonderful food items, but on the other hand I had the most mediocre burger I've ever had, and received quite frankly sub-par service. So, over all, although the sausages and sour dough was truly fantastic and the corn ribs where interesting, I wouldn't come back and it really didn't wow me. I've left 3/5 stars for the quite frankly bland main dish (recommended by the way when I said I wanted something meat based) and poor service (slow to be seated and confused to where to seat us + missing dishes from the order + Missing drinks + sarcastic comment regarding our choice of where to keep our items / jacket). all in all, disappointed, I'm rarely excited for restaurants these days and this one let me down.

Having seen some excellent looking dishes being cooked at Fallow it was only a matter of time before our first visit. Having booked one of the "bar tables" we weren't too sure of what the setting would be like however this is a proper dining table with the only difference being closer to the bar than open kitchen. From start to finish our experience was top tier, the atmosphere, staff and food can't be faulted. We started with the beef ribs, corn ribs, cheese and leek croquetas and burrata all of these were served promptly and were full of flavour. The beef ribs in particular were divine, falling off the bone and melting in the mouth. For main we had the fallow burger, a burger constructed with perfectly balanced flavours and quality beef. The inventive apple crumble and ice cream was a perfect way to finish a culinary delight!

We were pretty disappointed overall. The place was rammed full to the point of being uncomfortable. The food was variable. I enjoyed the corn ribs. However, my friends thought they were too salty. The sausage starter arrived cold. The mushroom burger was in a burnt bun and was overly greasy. The skin on my belly pork was soggy rather than crispy, and the accompanying cabbage was way too salty. Not the standard I was expecting. Won't be rushing back.

The food is very very good, however they tend to try and pack the restaurant as they understand it’s quite popular at the moment due to their social media presence. I’m not sure I felt comfortable paying £30 for a monkfish curry which let’s be honest was 3 bits of monkfish and some sauce (no rice). Not to mention it was a substitution because they had no coley (which again was only £24 but they charged more because it was suddenly monkfish) Plus the tapas which was incredibly overpriced (£24 for 6 croquettes). Again, great taste of food but have no idea how they get away with charging and delivering the service they do. I’d go here for drinks and some bar tapas but NOTHING MORE so don’t go here expecting nice full dinner.

Hi there, Please pass this to the General Manager as I can't find a way to contact you online. I had high expectations given I've been at Fallow for breakfast meetings few times. Our experience yesterday was embarrassing and at the limit of a fast food chain standard in terms of customer service. I didn't want to complain of course on the day as I didn't want to embarrass my guests. I booked a table at 10AM, which later on I moved at 10.30AM via your reservation system. I can see you clearly take reservations at 10.30AM, even if I wished to book now for tomorrow. Despite that , when we arrived, the welcoming was poor and we felt unwanted and rushed. Straight away as we walked inside the receptionist told us the kitchen was closing and we had 10 minutes to order. Not a welcoming word , not an "how are you today, can I take your coat?". Nothing. This was literally the first thing that we were told when arriving . "You have to order". The most shocking thing is that one of the manager was next to the receptionist and seemed to agree with the approach. Now, you are clearly taking reservation at 10.30 on your website (even now that I'm looking) and I highly doubt every group booking at 10.30 would be told at arrival they have 10 minutes to order, otherwise your operations would simply be inefficient and the whole point of allowing guests to book at 10.30 wouldn't make sense. I believe instead on the day we came you were empty and had no orders so you wanted to close the kitchen earlier before lunch time. We were brought to the table and I had to ask for our coats to be taken. The waitress couldn't share a smile throughout the whole meal and seemed annoyed we were there. As we sat, she insisted we had to order. I flagged on my reservation we were coming to celebrate a graduation so we wanted to go for a bottle of champagne and a brunch feast (a main of eggs each, pastries, yogurt and all trims for the table) however our mood was so down at this stage that we ended up ordering only 3 dishes and two cocktails. The drinks took ages to come and came at the same time of the meal. Coffee was terrible. The waitress dropped our 3 mains (orders singularly) AT THE CENTRE of the table and each one of us had to drag their own plate in front of us. No one asked how to food was. Two of the croissants buns were soggy and the hollandaise sauce we had on site was solid (I assume it was kept at the pass for the whole service under the light and simply served like that after several hours). After 10 minutes, while I was still eating and chewing, the same waitress started to clear the table without even asking if we were finished. I didn't finish my meal, of course everyone wanted us to go. At no point there was recognition of the graduation I marked on the reservation. Why be bothered to ask if you don't acknowledge? To recap, simply basics were missed: no coats taken, no warm welcoming , no friendly service, food dropped in the middle of the table like mcdonald burgers on a tray, no one checked if we liked the food or wanted another coffee/drink, the table was cleared before all guests could finish... I'll leave that to you to judge, all I know is that I left hungry and embarrassed.

Would’ve given five stars, but the hostess lacks a little bit of common decency and manners Food is exceptional. The wine selection is outstanding and the general atmosphere attitude of the waiting staff or top rated.

We had a 3pm seating which meant LOTS of choice. The food was excellent from first bite. Cauliflower and corn ribs are a must, but the venison tartare and desserts were also amazing. Though the food was very delicious, it was the exceptional staff which made our experience what it was. Everyone served beautifully, but with a real joy and sense of humour which made it a wonderful experience for our whole family.

Took my daughter and had a wonderful meal. Food was incredibly tasty, particularly the crab, venison tartar and cods head. The staff were warm friendly and knowledgeable. Lovely evening with the added extra of a gorgeous dachshund at the next table. Wouldn't hesitate to return!
