Fallones in West Dunbartonshire

Was recommended this chip shop by a friend, so glad they did! Feeding a family of 6 plus a treat for the dogs I ordered online, with an approximate pickup time. On arrival there were 3 or 4 customers in front of us and 3 staff taking orders and preparing food. Our order was being freshly prepared right on time, so despite a 20 min travel time due to traffic, food was piping hot. All the suppers we had went down extremely well, portion size was perfect in my opinion, nothing was too greasy or undercooked. Thank you fallones I'll definitely be returning

Just had a family meal from here and boy oh boy it's gone down hill massively. Last time it wasn't nice but tried again tonight never again, what a waste of money. Chips very greasy, fish awful so over cooked. Mostly all went in the bin.Its a shame because it used to be consistently lovely.

Had a takeaway on Saturday about 5 ISH. Wasn't nice. Fish was over cooked and two people out of five were very ill, so much so,that it ruined the night that we had travelled 240 miles for. Will not order from there again.

......... Took over 55 minutes to arrive. Food was plain 😕 and cold had to pre-heat. Whitch wasn't ideal.

First time ordering. Lukewarm when arrived. Fish batter soggy and doughy. Almost inedible. Threw most of it out. Definitely won’t be buying again.

First things first.. I have no idea what happened to this chippy. I used to love it when I was young but tonight was abysmal. So I ordered two fish suppers an hour and a half before they turned up (only stay 5 mins drive away), called the chippy multiple times and was reassured they were coming. I mean an hour and a half for delivery midweek is a bit of a joke. At the end of my tether I called the chippy and told them to cancel the order, while on the phone the driver appeared. The food was hot sure we had one overly battered fish that was tasteless and one soggy one also tasteless. The chips were for lack of a better word "Boggin" tasted really weird, so much infact most of it ended up in the bin. We won't be returning to this takeaway again.

Ordered a Fish Supper, received 2 pieces of Fish. Aweful as batter was thicker than the actual fish. Also noticed most of the positive reviews are nothing to do with there fish. At least the fog was happy tonight. See photos.

This was the worst fish supper I've ever had. Tasteless fish. Don't even know what knife you would use to try and cut the batter, couldn't even bite through it! Will never use again. Waste of money unfortunately.

Great chippy. Has been going for years and is still as good as ever. Staff are so friendly and cheery. The portions are adequate and the prices are reasonable. I would highly recommend this chippy as most of the food is really tasty. They also do home delivery. The entrance isn't suitable for wheelchairs or prams as there is stairs up to the entrance. There is parking outside the chippy on the main road. Next time you're in the area try Fallones.

Got a pizza supper was fantastic will go back again

Been a few years since I got a chippy from here, it did not disappoint. As always the food was perfect and staff were very friendly. Highly recommend

Not going to lie but it was lovely, not been for a wee while but I'm glad I did. Fried pizza supper and a sausage supper and honestly it was dynamite . It's hard to get a decent chippy these days as most are hit and miss so this was welcome. Decent buzz about the shop as well 👍

The food is very good and the price is not that expensive. It's not a restaurant. There is food to take away.

Disappointing! Had to wait ages while delivery orders were being made. Batter on black pudding was like rubber and the pudding itself was dry. Also the chips were a wishy washy colour. Only one staff member doing the serving for customers and deliveries and looked harassed, so no friendly chatter. I don't understand this as there were 5 members of staff there?? Would be better if they had 2 staff serving. Won't be back.

Great place tucked away in a plaza. Had a great chicken sandwich and some potato skins.

First time ordering online, was a wee bit late but it was lovely, my wife, daughter (whose picky) and myself thoroughly enjoyed it.

Great chippy, beautiful fish. Only gripe is their ordering/collect process is a bit meh. You could stand in shop for 15 minutes easily before anyone asks what you want. Would make more sense to take orders and payments when people come in. But despite that it's definitely the best chippy in the area.

I used this place today and I have to say I'm so impressed such a nice and friendly people and they will do the best to make sure that the food is to your liking.I had a really good conversation with them we just had a friendly chat and a laugh. I would highly recommend this place to anyone...

Unbelievable. The batter on the fish was harder than granite, the chips were almost raw. If I'm honest this is the worst fish supper I've ever had in my life.

Have to go there as my daughter will not go anywhere else she love it with thanks for having a great product

Great wee chippy, only chipshop I know of where you can get a square sausage supper or single if that's your preference.. I'll be heading there later tonight. you've got to love it ..

Chips are good nothing special but the batter is like rubber had fish supper and batter on fish was like rubber weeks later had black pudding supper and the batter on pudding was like rubber

Look, this is a great chippy, but home deliveries seem to have taken over their business model as customers standing in front of them are constantly seen as secondary. Sort yourselves out, if it's taking off, staff accordingly and lock that second door because clearly your staff are too busy to keep an eye on who's in the "queue"........total rammy more like. Sorry but it'll be some time before I'll be back. Plenty of other options in the area.

Gave it another go and yet again an issue ,in short the base was burnt and spoiled the pizza .

Still a great wee fish & chip shop good selection and prices are good staff are very friendly.

Square sausage supper can't beat it!! Great chippy

Disappointing. Batter is quite weird...stodgy and not crispy at all. Chips were ok but not as good as Stefano's or McMonagles which are also nearvy. Also quite a small portion compared to other places. I wouldn't make any effort to go back.

Simple awfull, stressed staff, why I'm not sure, it's busy and should be handled with enthusiasm, so makes me wonder why. Also to the food, white chips, awfull, fish awfull, tuff rubbery batter, I complained about the same food cooking five years ago, and never went back, but thought I would give it another shot, bad decision, same white chips, what can I say, mabye it's me, because its still busy. To sum up, I won't be back. I guess the very nice owner lady is obviously getting the money in, so why not produce white uncooked chips and rubbery fish and keep bank manager happy. I guess that OK for her,but no more business from me, hey who cares, there is other fish n chips in area, probably for me to complain about, walla Billy N local Hardgate

On 3rd August I had the worst battered fish that I can remember in the last decade. The fish itself was unpleasant and dry but the batter was truly inedible. On the outside it was hard - rock hard in places - and on the inside it was wet, woolly and uncooked. I took it back to show the boss. I said I did not want my money back, but just wanted to give him feed back. Far from being grateful, he was dismissive and rude. Everyone thought his food was good, he said. There was no apology for the mess I had returned to him, and no interest whatsoever in his appalling fish. See what I took back.

Special fish supper highly recommended

Just bought fish and chips. Not nice at all. First time experience on a recommendation, but won't be back. Looks like a decent size fish but it's all batter...and the batter was rubbery, so I think the fish must be frozen and then fried as that's what makes the batter soggy and pale in colour. The chips were alright. You can see the batter that was left over.

Bought fish and chips here, fish was disgusting there was more batter than fish the batter was thick and stodgy. The chips were no better.

Food is delicious but pricey however we strongly recommend it to visit if you are in the area.

Amazing telephone services first time order with in15min next time order gave telephone new my address same as above 15min fish chips were lovely and pipping hot (al be back)
