Just had our first takeaway from Namaste, absolutely delicious. Delivered on time and hot. We shall be returning again soon.

Lovely food. Having dined at many Indian restaurants, Namaste is a gem. Great atmosphere and equally good service. Very attentive but in no way 'over the top' and accommodating to intolerances and making recommendations based on preferences. Will be returning!!!

Heard great things about the restaurant. So we ordered a take away as we just returned from holiday. Took an hour which we don’t mind as it’s a Saturday night. When we dished food up it all was Luke warm. Popadoms x5 we’re all stale. We had ordered an onion salad which in a tiny pot. Nice taste but £20 more than our normal restaurant take away and not worth it. SHAME

The anniversary deal was ridiculously good value! The food was delicious, good size portions and not greasy.

Food amazing! Friendly service! My family and I have been regulars at Namaste since it opened! Around Covid and after there was a little dip in food taste, so we reduced our visits! But now what can I say! We dine again recently and food was extra nice and tasty! I am so glad I gave it another go! Portion are filling, amazing choices and taste! Family friendly even with kids and late in the evening! A late table for 6 was not a trouble! They were glad for the business and friendly, efficient service! Keep up the great work!

Visited here many years, ago, so like a 1st time visit. Wanted somewhere local, and thisisvin walking distance of where I live. The staff are very nice efficient and friendly, the food was excellent so everything was perfect. We'll done Namaste - will be coming back very soon.

We’ve driven past Namaste a lot over the past few months and always say that we’ll give it a try. Tonight we finally did and were very impressed. I phoned ahead and placed a takeaway order consisting of starters, mains and sides. The service was very friendly and the food was superb. The prawns in the masala were large and tender, the lamb in my balti was tender and full of flavour. Thanks Namaste, we will be back soon.

We were a large party that had a booking for 7pm. We got our meals at 10:30pm!!! Other groups of varying sizes arrived after us and had their food a long time before us. They deliberately left us until last. Probably hoping we would spend more on alcohol. Unfortunately lots of us were driving so not drinking. The waiters were friendly enough except for the people who seemed to be in charge who were rude and dismissive. They’ve taken down the video they took of people enjoying the DJ (Dave was amazing and the only saving grace. If it wasn’t for him we would have all walked out earlier) probably when they realised you could hear one of our group asking where our food was. They claimed they couldn’t get food to us as our friends were dancing when in fact most of the people dancing were the lucky people from the other tables who had eaten their food. They could have asked people to move over and it was clearly a lie as it was still another 20 minutes after that that food eventually started to come out. The food when it came was good but to be fair we would have eaten anything by then. To sum up DJ Dave was brilliant, food was good but service and management were a disgrace and the reason why I give such a low review.

What is happening to Namaste?! Their food used to taste traditional, flavoursome and delicious. We ordered a takeaway in November and across the 4 meals collected (I tried them all as mine was so disappointing) they all tasted really bland, especially the pathia and the dhansak. We were quite regular users and have always found the staff helpful and friendly, so we put it down to a 'bad batch' and reordered last week. Again, our meal wasn't good and those 2 dishes particularly were again, just terrible. 1. Bland in taste, lacking in spice and flavour 2. ‘Wet’! Almost a runny watery and tasteless sauce that ran around the plate when poured out. 3. Small, dry and certainly overcooked chicken in 2 of the dishes which shredded when cut into. 4. You could wring the grease out of the onion bhajis, which dripped and leaked through the bag 5. The garlic naan was undercooked which made it over-glutinous and stodgy. I hear the chef is award-winning? They always seemed to take pride in their food, but nowadays, it seems the quality's just not there. Sorry Namaste, always a pleasant service, but twice-bitten for us.

Visited here with my dad on a Tuesday. I used to love this place before it changed owners, since then it has gone down hill. My prawn purée starter had a hair cooked into the chipati. And when we told the waiter he just smiled and said ‘hair, yes’ The lamb dansaak I had was bland and had next to no lamb in, and any bits it did have were fatty and tasted low quality. My dad had chicken tikka starter and chicken tikka masala main… No complaints from the starter (can’t really go wrong) But the masala sauce was very sweet he said. Overall, would not recommend. Back when a man named Alfie was there this was THE Indian to go too but now, it’s no good.

Firstly on trip advisor it's saying that namaste is only open for take away and delivery. Thankfully that's not true, so hopefully this can be changed. Anyway , we absolutely this restaurant, it's a real gem. My wife is picky when it comes to curry but she loved the tikka masala and the shaslick masala on the two occasions we went. Also my 3 kids, all under 11, thoroughly enjoyed tikka masala and tikka main . We will definitely be back soon.

We went there for a Sunday dinner with friends and family for Indian food. The decor was good , and stuff were friendly. It was spacious and clean. The food was ok, but not close to the Indian taste for the name of the dishes. All the non-veg dishes like Balti chicken, Lahori lamb , Lahori Murg were all quite sweet and even the garlic NA was quite sweet. We had ordered some papad at the beginning which was charged 90p per piece which is absolutely fine but what was surprising/shocking that they charged another 90 per person for some mint sauce and mango chutney etc provided with the papad which are always served complimentary with papad. No harm in charging but if it was chargeable , then they should have informed us as we had just ordered for papad and not those extra sauce stuff which was served by them. Overall ok, however not for people who are not used to sweet and bland Indian non-veg dishes.

We really loved the quality, service and value for money of Namaste, ordering a take away regularly and visiting occasionally. Our last review here was 5 star. However, almost every item on the recent take away update menu has increased by 20% to 25%, without any improvements in quantity or quality of food. Furthermore, they have added additional delivery charges which now makes their food incredibly expensive. To make matters worse we have had a number of wrong items delivered or items not delivered at all, which is unacceptable when coupled with huge price increases.

An excellent take-away.We ordered a take-away to collect on Christmas Eve. The wait time was only 30 minutes (we ordered as soon as they opened). Every item that we had was cooked to perfection. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and have no hesitation in returning. The portion sizes were ample, we even left some!

Ordered takeaway yesterday, just two chicken biryanis. Husband and I are both vomiting, have diarrohea and are in pain, plus my husband has Crohn's so this happening is far worse for him and really dangerous. Thank you for ruining Christmas. Never ever order from you again and I wish I could take legal actions against you.

Back in March 2020 I paid 100.00 deposit for a night out in May 20. Covid then happened and lock down. I had about 25 people going. I then made arrangements to re book another time when lock down finished and all my friends felt happy going. I went tonight to try and re book in the new year for 25 people and have a meal I was told the restaurant had changed hands and although I showed them the on line banking proving 100.00 to Namaste in March 20 they would not honour it and take a booking in the new year for 25 girls and I had to pay the bill tonight which I did and lose 100 00. Never mind we will go somewhere else and the food was awful anyway. If any one wants real Indian food go to Kohinoor at Istead Rise , Meopham ,Kent. Lucy Anscombe

Ordered our usual last night and just wasn't the same, the chicken looked like it had been cooked the day before and also had bones in the meal. Probably won't be using Nmaste again.

We ordered last night a big portion of meal and clearly made a point not to send any food with diary ingredients and lamb .. the order came very soon, which was good however, everything what they sent us including rice was made with butter mixed with coconut , chicken curry was just oily wet sauce, tasted disgusting. The rice was just flavour of lots of butter and coconut flavour could not hide that taste . Naan bread was full of disgusting lamb meat which was something made us sick, I remember I said over the phone if you sent me lamb by a mistake I won't tolerate that. I clearly said I have dairy intolerance and you are lucky that I am not in the hospital now as you did not care about my dietary requirement, do you know that you can kill a human like this attitude> Do you think everyone eats lamb or butter or yogurt? I have had amazing Indian curry and rice before but I have never tasted such degusting oily dishes in my life. All went to the rubbish bin!!!! The last note : it was take away order.. left us hungry and made us sick. ready to send more pics of the food we have not touched at all.

Stopped at this restaurant for a meal on our way back to Essex. What a lovely restaurant, spotlessly clean, the food was absolutely delicious and the staff helpful. As we don't live in Kent we won't be able to visit often but highly recommend.

Ordered an online delivery and left a note with the order saying my boyfriend is Vegan. They called to let us know some of the dishes we ordered had some non-vegan products in it and gave us different options and even offered to cook something fresh without the dairy products included. We were very pleased with this service and the food was great!

As a Swanley local this is my go-to Indian takeaway. Food is always really tasty and a good portion size. Friendly staff too. Lucky to have this as a local.

A while ago the salt content went right up and we thought it was a glitch. Trying again and the food is horrible. Cold. Very salty. They can get away with it as all the Indian takeaways are bad in swanley.Save your money. Get a pizza from the coop and go somewhere decent when you are allowed

Have only used as a takeaway, but can say that its the best we have had around our area. Have tried many Indian takeaways but this one has met with our requirements and will use always.

Unfortunately had the misfortune of visiting this place with my brother (immediately after lockdown) and needless to say, wasn’t impressed ! Found the staff rude and seemed to be little overpowering (didn’t get much time to look at menu) , was as if they didn’t want to serve us, food was cold and tasteless. ! Decor was very outdated, whole place seemed dirty. “Not pleasant” first impression won’t be returning.

Just finished a take away meal two tika masala 1 chicken dansak with rice and sides every beautifully cooked clean tasty meals 10 out of 10 be back soon.

You know when someone says "I fancy a curry..." where do you go especially as the lockdown had just been eased...?I had seen that Namaste had reopened as we had yet to try it, we decided to pop in. Masks on, we put antibacterial on our hands and entered.Being greeted with Masks and gloves is strange....We sat in the front of the bar with a screen between us and the neighbouring table which had 5 men sitting at it. I felt safe. 1 ate Telapia whilst my husband opted for the tried and tested Chicken Tikka Masala. Bombay and onion bhajii completed our meal. Whether it was because of lockdown or because I had been making my own curry's, this meal was absolutely amazing! We drank non-alcoholic cocktails and for the first time, I went without a dessert!! Unheard of!The music played wasn't Indian but it wasn't offensive or too loud. Would I recommend Namaste? Hell yes!

Have been using this restaurant for takeaways for some time and they have always been very good, Visited it this evening with my brother and we had a nice meal and waiters provided a good service. But what made me want to leave a review was my brother's story, We were all back in Swanley for my mum's funeral in Jan. My brother and his wife were waiting in the restaurant for a takeaway and to onto collect my nieces from the station. The manager/owner got chatting to them realising why they were in Swanley gave them 10 per cent off their takeaway, A nice gesture,

I ordered takeaway late in the evening (half 10) and the food was just delicious! Tasted fresh and the delivery man was very polite.

Visited on a Friday night just before Christmas!was greeted warmly and shown to our table in the main restaurant area !Before we had even taken our coats off and sat down a lady was asking whether we want papadoms ,would have been nice to be able to actual sit down breath and choose drinks and then get papadoms !!Food is great we all had different dishes some with fish and some with chicken ,lots of sides and had some coffees and ice creams for pudding!all the food served is decent portion sizes and great taste!Had a nice bottle of house white plus beers and the bill was very reasonable!We will return definantly

A group of us decided to go out for a meal at Farhim's (now renamed Namaste) as we used to enjoy their food by eating in and have takeaways from there. Upon entry, boxes were clumsily put around on the ground opposite tables lovingly set - not a good sign! Because of the mess, we decided to eat at the back...3 separate chicken dishes (Jeera, Balti Special and Namaste Special Masala resembled each other as the sauce tasted similar - although different in terms of heat from spices. Service was so-so, the waiter did not inform one of us that the Heaven chocolate ice-cream had been put on the table as it was served in a closed Kilner jar as coffee was served at the same time. It looked like a jar of sugar. By the time we realised it was a dessert, the ice-cream was melting! One of us asked for regular coffee, two of us asked for decaffeinated coffee. No decaffeinated coffee the staff said. Oh well. Then the regular and decaffeinated coffee were served and the third coffee (decaffeinated) had to be requested twice and a long wait ensued. When the third coffee arrived, the other 2 diners had drunk their coffee! Staff were mostly in the front and we had to shout hello to get the staff's attention for the bill. Altogether a rubbish meal and rubbish service. Farhim's - come back! Asha's in Birmingham is to be recommended as their menu, service, and ambience is a wonder!

Well im aware that in certain parts of foreign lands the cuisine does vary.This was a new experience for me.I had a prawn based meal my partner a chicken based meal.They were both served and looked a bright red colour.Mine was hot in content but completely tasteless, nothing like anything i had elsewhere.This restaurant does get a good write up, buts not for me.I much prefer the Shah,in Swanley lanes complete different meal with all the flavours you would expect with this type of meal

I have been here numerous times because it’s the nicest place to eat in Swanley and the food and service from the staff is spot on!! If you go on a Saturday night it will be busy so book well advance like we did. Alfie is the owner and he runs this tight ship so well, I had a party of 12 in there last night, the cocktail bar was busy with a staff party so Alfie moved our tables upstairs to one side after we had eaten, whacked on the music and we had a good old dance and was loving life! Thank you for the beautiful food, for constantly smiling even though you was run off your feet and for giving us a fantastic night ❤️

Went here for date night after seeing the reviews online. Clean restaurant and the staff were attentive. Had two starters, three non alcoholic drinks (definitely recommend the Namaste Indian Summer), two mains and one side for £47.70. Food was seasoned well and the portions were generous.

I ordered a mixed biryanis and chicken tikka masala. Onion Baji on the side. With friends, excellent service and helpful. Great tasting food. Very clean and plenty of space around the table for 5. Car park a short 1-2 minutes down the road free after 6.30pm.

65 Birthday meal for family could not Fault the service and the food was great Have come many time and so far never been disappointed.

It’s a hard one to score as food was lovely but eating experience a bit like a trip to Faulty Towers. This probably wasn’t helped by the fact that it was Saturday night and our table of 6 was sat next to 2 x large birthday parties with very loud customers and small children running around.

I visited Namaste for a charity meal. The experience here was amazing - the atmosphere was buzzing. The food served was tasty and flavoursome and there are a variety of drinks. The cocktails are great. The staff deliver high quality customer service and are welcoming and helpful to all. I would recommend Namaste to all my family and friends. Fantastic value for money.

We are fairly late to the Namaste party having only recently found out the restaurant had recently undergone a refurb and is now under new management and branding. We have been ordering the occasional takeaway for a few months now and have been extremely impressed with the menu choice and quality of the food. Its hard to find a decent Indian restaurant that doesn't serve overly oily curries and one where all the curries don't taste the same.

I went here for a charity night and the atmosphere was so lovely there was about 60 of us and nothing was to much for the staff the owner was lovely and had Host the food and drinks was really good too I can’t fault them at all it was amazing

My husband and I came here for dinner off the cuff. We were seated quickly and made to feel welcome. This restaurant offers a wide range of dishes but not so much on the wine list. The food was flavoursome and hot and served as you'd expect. Our bottle of Pinot Noir was a bit naff for a red wine as it had no body and looked colourless. Although it was quite cheap for a restaurant wine! For a local indian restaurant this ticks all the boxes.

Food outstanding.. with offers Tuesday and Wednesday. .. now been at least 8 times and have never been disappointed.

We went to namaste for birthday dinner and staff were very well mannered and helpful We will definitely go there. Again as it has been sometime that we have found a good Indian restaurant.

Absolutely exquisite Indian! So flavourful and tasty. The dishes we had we so full of flavour and delicious spice, with the added bonus of being able to specify spice levels after having dishes recommended by the staff. Service was exemplary and for people who have eaten Indian food all over the world, this was an out of this world meal and we will be back to the area, just to experience this Indian delight all over again! I ordered a take away for my sons birthday and the food was excellent quality. This is only the second star review I’ve ever given on trip advisor so I was really impressed. The lamb jalfrezi was the best I’ve ever tasted and the delivery driver was even friendly. I’m a local girl so I’ll definately be ordering again.

What a lovely place to have a meal, does not matter if only one or twenty people you are made to feel welcome, great staff and food.

I have been to this restaurant a few times now and the food is very good and I enjoyed every mouthful. The staff are very friendly. We usually finish up for cocktails in the bar downstairs. Last night they had DJ Lisa V playing there and we danced the night away.

Great food, good service and a nice atmosphere. All freshly prepared. Staff are very helpful. Did say to the waiter my starter was a bit small and the waiter went and got me another portion!

Have seen this opened a few months ago and we decided to give it a try and were not disappointed with the food or service. we didn't realise there was a cocktail bar downstairs and this could have been promoted ads im sure we would have visited after our meal.

While visiting my son and family in Swanley we decided to go out for a meal. After a quick discussion we decided on an Asian (Indian restaurant), a quick look on google maps and we decided on the Namaste for our meal. It was early on a Saturday night the restaurant was busy but not fully booked the staff were very welcoming. The inside looked quite new and the decor modern, I had a 4 hour drive home the next day so I ordered a straight forward meal, prawn puree followed by chicken tikka masala accompanied by a paratha. The starter had plenty of prawns and was very tasty, my main was rich and creamy (as it should be) with lots of coconut flavour. The staff were very attentive and helpful and when we finished the meal we were given a complimentary drink. Everyone enjoyed their meal and at just under £80 for a family of 4 including 2 drinks each we were very pleased with the bill. Would we visit again? most certainly.

Visited recently for a friend’s birthday. Overall the food was tasty. My chicken tikka was a bit overcooked and dry. The rest of the food was good and the price paid was pretty reasonable and good value. Staff were friendly and attentive.

From entering the restaurant to leaving, we were treated like family. The staff insist all clientele are guests and are welcomed as such. The decor is subtle and warming and the seating is very comfortable. The menu offered a large range of dishes with explanations of each dish. The actual food itself was delicious and well presented. And the staff are so kind and most helpful with those who are disabled. Very accommodating.There is also a cocktail bar downstairs that looked amazing. Will be returning as this is now our favourite restaurant by far. Thank you for an enjoyable evening.

Been here a few times when we come visit the family and it has always been excellent.

Last night we visited as part of a large group celebrating a belated Christmas do. It is the first time I’ve been since the change of ownership. What a difference! Good quality food in perfect portions. Good atmosphere unlike the previous incarnation, with all tables filled. Friendly staff & good service despite the restaurant being full. Huge bonus of the downstairs bar for before and after your meal, with a great mix of people and a fantastic dj providing a great variety of music. Will definitely return soon

Well where to begin.....We visited Namaste last night (Friday) we booked online and got a very pleasant confirming email by return. When we arrived we were greeted by extremely pleasant and very friendly staff. The restaurant was very busy but the service from the outset was absolutely first class, drinks arrived quickly and food orders taken. The gaps between courses were perfect not rushed and certainly not left sitting there for ages, so top marks. The general manager runs the restaurant seamlessly and is fully supported by a fantastic team. Food quality and portion sizes were perfect. We had a very pleasant chat with the general manager after our meal was finished when he took time to tell us all about the restaurant and his plans for it. We will most certainly return and will be recommending Namaste to our friends and family. Good work guys keep up the excellent work.

We visited as a family on a banquet night and was very pleased. Lovely food extremely good value and very nice staff.

Ordered takeaway but wasn’t impressed at all. Food was very greasy, even popadoms seemed to have a greasy after taste. I had a lamb dish with hardly any lamb and didn’t have much taste. Prawn purée was awful, had a very strange fishy taste, like prawns were not fresh or they added fish sauce to it. This restaurant has recently been revamped and the owner has done a good job of promoting everything but I really think you should change your chef. Too many poor curry houses around. It would be a shame if we had another one. A friend of mine also visited here in the summer and said it wasn’t very nice but I thought I’d give it a go as there are so many good reviews but really disappointed. Wouldn’t go again.

They offer a personal service in this fine eatery, always welcomed and show a genuine interest in our family lives, along with sharing details of their own. The decor, service, menu and upcoming cocktail bar is second to none. i recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to enjoy fine indian cuisine at its best! we will be returning at our next opportunity!

Overcooked chicken in the chicken korma, overcooked bahji. Flavourless naan. Won’t be ordering again, and wouldn’t recommend.

We visited this restaurant for the first time last week . I have got to say the staff were very attentive. Drinks arrived quickly and we looked at the menu . We ordered and the food was very nice , my husband had the king prawn tandoori I had a korma which I felt could of been a bit hotter in temperature that is . The side dishes were nice too . We were offered a drink on the house which we declined as we had drunk a bottle of wine but a very nice jesture. I would certainly go back again .

Good food at moderate price. The waiter Osland who had once been a chief had a excellent knowledge of the preparation and cooking of the food was oustanding.

We had been looking forward to this ‘new’ restaurant but sadly it didn’t live up to our expectations. The food was ok but not exceptional. The portions we thought were smaller than you’d expect. We asked for a jug of water, which we got, but no glasses. However the drinks came quickly. On the whole we decided that we preferred The Raj down the road for their food and friendly service.

First time trying Namaste and must say we were very pleased, the food was tasty and the staff were very helpful and smiling. I found the portion sizes to be perfect, if there was too much then there would be a lot wasted. Would definitely recommend. Good luck Namaste.

A couple of weeks ago we, a very good friend and I, decided to try this new restaurant of which my friend had heard truly good reviews.

First time visiting Nameste since it reopened and wow certainly wasn’t a disappointment, lovely food with great service from all staff. One little let down was that the cocktail menu isn’t up and running yet... but 2 weeks and we will be returning to sample the menu fully. Definitely recommend the speciality menu very tasty curries.

Our friends chose to take us out for an 1st anniversary meal and said about trying here!

Visited last night with friends for the first time since it reopened. Good selection on the menu resulting in excellent food for all. Delighted we have another first class Indian Resturant in Swanley. Can't wait for the cocktail lounge to open too!

The revamp on this restaurant is amazing I stated previously I would never go back but I am so glad I was talked into going and therefore the reason for this review the interior is great and not tired as before but and I have to state but the difference in the staff was worlds apart.

Great revamp of staff and food. Well worth a visit, very professional and friendly with great newly revamped menu with genuinely different options. Very good value also.

We visited on Saturday 15 September 218 and arrived just before 8pm for our booked table, joining a small queue of others who also had 8pm bookings. The restaurant was pleasingly busy and the atmosphere was good but the queue of 8pm bookings grew behind us and the welcome experience was chaotic, with several members of staff checking names and bookings and several times.

We’ve had a meal at Namaste Swanley! And it was great. After a long day we decided to go namaste for Saturday dinner. I would say this place beat my expectations on all level. Incredible meal with best atmosphere and lovely ambiance. Food was spot on and service was impeccable.i would say Swanley people does need to try new Indian at Swanley High Street. Will be back again.

Good service and enjoyed some of the recommendations our server made - first time having a prawn curry (king prawn mirchi) and the ‘guvnahs recommedation’ side dish. Both fantastic

After getting a menu dropped through the door we thought we would give it ago. Tried to order online which wasn’t the easiest so gave up and called them. The guy on the phone was really nice and advised an hour wait. Food turned up after 40min which was a bonus. Food was really nice. Improvements to the online ordering would make it 5* for me.

Just collected a takeaway. I found the food to be of a very good standard as always. Definately would recommend.

Fahims is an excellent restaurant with great variety on the menu and a very welcoming atmosphere. I visit the restaurant once or twice every year, and will definitely go there again when I’m in the area again. The dishes are all tasty, and the prices are very reasonable. There is always a table available, and the staff always have time for a chat. All in all, I would highly recommend the restaurant to anyone looking for great Indian cuisine, or just a nice meal after a busy day!

Being a fan of food from the Indian subcontinent on a work trip I decided to try Fahim's for dinner. There are a lot of very good restaurants of this kind around the part of Yorkshire where I live so I have a pretty high benchmark.
