Exotic Thai in North Lincolnshire

Still the best Thai food we've had anywhere, although we've not been to Thailand. shame they don't open at dinner any more,

Weve had nice meals here in the past but very disappointing this time. We ordered two starters as we only needed a snack and after waiting a good while the waitress came back from the kitchen to say we would need to order a main course as well. So we left and got a kebab from across the street instead.

A nice meal, but a little bland. Curry main portion on the small side. Good service.

Really disappointing....we have had takeaway twice here and both times they have missed meals from the order. Staff are very unhelpful when you ring, and they will not deliver the missing meals. Both times we have had to go back and collect the meals with no recompense. Completely spoils the experience, someone should open another Thai restaurant up, they might up their game...waste of £50.

Normally enjoy food from here, however tonight we spent nearly £50 on a meal and noticed the rice was missing, when we rang the restaurant they said they found the rice and we were told there was nothing they could do. Spoilt our meal as we had main courses but no rice. How can this be right, surely you could send it out like any other restaurant!! Not happy with the service at all

Staff are lovely. Food is absolutely delicious, I recommend both the penang and massaman curries with coconut rice.

Personally the worse thai food i ever had. Could have pass as chinese, sorry china. But it lack the unique thai flavour, lemon grass, ginger and chilli, and takeaway portion ohh no value for money. This is what £35 gets you

Fantastic food, as good as any Thai food I've had in this country

This place feels like you've just walked into the country itself, the staff are kind and welcoming and you get served in a matter of minutes. There is also a HUGE range of dishes so they will always have something that suits your taste. The fact that they come all the way from Birmingham every night to run the restaurant astonishes me. Overall, the restaurant has made Thai cuisine my favourite food.

I seriously didn't know this place was still open - it looks derelict from outside. We like to dine out but would never have even thought of this place - perhaps a little smartening up would help?

Love this place never had a bad meal yet. The lunchtime special is a bargain, half the price of the food in the evening. It was less than £20 for two of us to have two courses each and drinks. It’s often been on the cooler side in there so you can comfortably wear a jumper without getting too hot.

The staff are very friendly and the food is fantastic. Every meal I have had here is fresh and full of flavour. The lunchtime menu is one of the best value meals in town.

I've eaten at a LOT of Thai restaurants. In Australia, in the UK, and in Thailand. I've never had a better meal than at Exotic Thai. I'm a regular here and they are consistently good, have a great choice of dishes, very reasonably priced, and just down the road :) couldn't ask for more. Even get 10% off for takeaway collection orders. No delivery option through the restaurant but it doesn't lose a star for that; willing to collect. Only thing that did get me was last time I put in a huge 5 person order for takeaway, when I got back home I realised I'd been overcharged and no-one wants to go back. Be checking from now on.

I would highly recommend Exotic Thai. We dine in the restaurant and also use their takeaway service. Every time we’ve been, the food and service has been outstanding.

Have been going for years and still think its the most delicious food in Scunthorpe

Food is fantastic. Place is a little tired, could do with a refurb. But again, the food is amazing. Service is good, you're never left waiting long, even when it's busy.

This is the best Thai food in Scunthorpe - and not just because it's the only Thai restaurant! The food has NEVER been a disappointment, and always is worth the price they are charging. The serving staff are friendly, and the environment is pleasing, interesting, often quiet, and comfortable. We have friends from Lincoln (where there are a number of Thai choices) and they have remarked that their impression of Thai food was that it was "herbed chicken in different gravy" - actual quote. Their experience of exotic Thai was a real eye opener for them. I highly recommend the green curry, and for a starter try the chicken in pandan leaves. Wheelchair access may be tricky because of a right-angled, stepped and somewhat narrow doorway. Assistance would be required, I imagine.

I ordered a takeaway nothing fancy minced chicken salad and the classic pad Thai the mince dish was inedible bland and lacking salad and flavour, the pad Thai was also bland and not worth eating only 2 prawns altogether very dissatisfied with the meal, I will definitely not be returning. The other good reviews clearly have never been to Thailand and tasted proper Thai food. I begrudge giving it 1 star but couldn't rate a zero

We have visited exotic Thai at least twice a year for the past ten years and the quality has never declined. The place is friendly, intimate and the food delicious. The lunchtime menu £7 for a starter and main with rice is excellent value! Would highly recommend

Been here many times, every time I've been it's been amazing. Gorgeous food, really something special. Went at lunch today and already wondering when I will go again! Recommended for meals out for birthdays and special events :)

Nice atmosphere. The staff were friendly and the food was quite delicious. We are used to Thai food in Australia and there were a couple of dishes missing that we usually order but what we did get was delicious. Thank you for a lovely meal :)

Terrible service from start to finish. We waited over 2 hours for our main course to arrive. The staff more bothered about serving take-aways than serving the restaurant full of customers. When the meals finally arrived they took 15 minutes to serve a table of 9 so many meals were cold by the time we came to eat them. The attitude of the staff from front of house through to the manager was disgusting thought out. Cumtomer service lessons are clearly needed. This may be a one off but once is enough for our party

Was so cold, we sat in our coats; we should have left really. The service was slow even though we were the only table in there. The food was great but went cold straight away.

Excellent food. Some people complained about the interior design of this place. It had a cosy and classy feel in my opinion. The staff was very attentive and helpful. Lots and lots of variety too! I would recommend to any traveler, this is one to check it

The food was lovely and the staff friendly. However this restaurant needs updating. The decor is very tired. The hand dryers don't work in the ladies toilet and there was no other facility i.e. hand towel or paper towel to dry your hands on. It smelled of damp in the restaurant and the tiny electric heaters did not warm the restaurant up. It was freezing in there. We only warmed up when we were eating our food. A revamp and this place will be having customers flocking back in.

If you like Thai food this is the place. Decor could do with sprucing up but quality is good and the place deserves a visit.

Terrible! The whole experience was terrible, when we arrived we was asked to wait in the seating area, which is fine but for 15 minutes when it wasnt busy was bad, then went to our seats, 20 more minutes we had our food and drinks ordered, a further 40 minutes before starters came but they didnt come together, 10 minutes apart, when the mains came they again didnt come together and it tasted like it had been microwaved! The price of the awful food to what was put infront of me wasnt good, 6 small pieces of marinated chicken for £10. The woman behind the counter was rude to her employee's, and when it came to paying the bill it took a further 20 minutes to do so. I would not recommend this place at all.

Come here once a month to eat, consistent great freash made authentic Thai food, the décor and kerb appeal are not very nice but the service and food bring us back
