Evergreen Chinese Take Away in Carrickfergus

Lovely people and very quick and helpful service. Portion sizes were enormous. But sadly this was the worst Chinese takeaway we have ever had. The Crispy Golden Chicken was grey, resembling uncooked prawns. There were 2 pots of cold, glutinous gravy covering a couple of slices of meat - no idea what that was. Chicken satay tasted more like chicken curry. A complimentary bag of greasy prawn crackers sat on top.

Food always piping hot, good range of the menu to suit everyone. Staff always friendly and helpful Remember they only take cash NO CARDS. Frequent quite often and never disappointed

My local Chinese takeaway that caters for special food needs. I am a diabetic so they make a delicious chicken ginger and spring onion sauce without sugars or sweetners. Quick delivery and good prices. Yum!

This place is a great wee local takeaway. Have tried many others in Carrickfergus, but keep coming back here. Very reasonable priced as well.

I got food delivered tonight, Beef curry, chips and a portion of noodles. Honestly I should have made my own. The curry is like rocket fuel, not really eatable. Chips and noodles were ok. But in my opinion you would be better going somewhere else or making your own like I should have done. It couldn't be any worse.

I ordered chinese spare ribs, spring rolls and satay chicken. The spare ribs were tough and inedible the spring rolls very greasy and the satay chicken had very little chicken but just bread crumbs. `i would never return to this Chinese carryout

This is our go to Chinese for the nights where I just can't be bothered cooking or just when I want a really great takeaway! Always friendly service and yes as the other review states, a great serving when it comes to the food, not only in portion size but in quality. The food is always clean and I've never (in over 10 years eating from here) had a bad meal.

I have past this place many times and never called in, So glad I did what a surprise. A very basic Chinese Take Away with open kitchen which looked very clean. One chap cooking and was supported by a few staff all very friendly. The portion sizes were above average, tasted very fresh and the most tender meats I have had in a long time from a Chinese take away! Chef was happy to let me order off menu and had no problem in making my curry extra extra hot as requested! Standard Curry is a bit on the hot side but loads of flavor. I have to travel 5 miles further to get to Evergreen but I will be going there from now on as they are far far superior to all the Chinese in Carrickfergus! Two visits now in Three days, must be good eh! I ordered:- Salt & Chilli King Prawn - Nice spice succulent large prawns Beef and King Prawn Curry - Very tender beef Chicken Curry - Cubed rather than sliced chicken Chicken Chow Mein - Amazing wok juice Chicken Balls - More chicken than batter Bonus! Spring Rolls - Not greasy good mix of meats Egg Fried Rice - Good Boiled Rice - Good Prawn Crackers
