This is one of the best curry restaurants I’ve ever been to. Fantastic Nepalese collection but featuring most of the Indian classics. Been several times and thought every single dish was amazing. Friendly service and very reasonably priced too!

The staff and management are welcoming, helpful and friendly, make you feel valued customers. The food is the best, we love Nepalese food, it is not the same as Indian food, it even better. We have taken family and friends, they totally agree. You can have the food of how spicy or not, they will also do what you ask. I cannot praise this enough.

The Nepalese food here is truly impressive, with each dish crafted by a chef who takes great pride in his cooking. The flavours are authentic and well-balanced, offering a delightful dining experience. The restaurant itself has a cosy, intimate atmosphere, but with limited seating, it’s best to book ahead to avoid disappointment. Overall, a great spot for Nepalese cuisine if you’re looking for something special.

The food came 5 minutes earlier than expected which shows excellent service, and the food was delicious - some of the best Indian food I've had. The lamb in my jalfrezi was so tender and flavourful. I really like that they offer kulfi on their menu as I couldn't see it on any of the others' menus - and it's lovely.

I love a curry, been to many within Hinckely and the local area but fancied a change and selected based on the glowing reviews on the website We went at prime time on a Friday night and the place was dead. No atmosphere at all Although there was plenty of choice on the menu, both meals chosen within our party were fairly tasteless. Given there was no one in the place, the staff kept coming back over which was a bit too much I'd say it was my least favourite of the indians in Hinckley

Since all the refurbishment, it is a pleasure to go, lots of nice atmosphere, the Owner and his staff cannot do enough for you, always a genuine smiles seeing you again. The food is absolutely amazing, we have been trying a lot of different meals on the menu, especially the Nepalese dishes, they are absolutely delicious, we have been going down the menu ,so we try to taste different ones, still our favourite starters are the King Prawns, and we both love the Chicken Lasun. We would not now try anywhere different as we have found the perfect restaurant

I visited this Nepalese and Indian restaurant recently and found the ambience to be quite appealing, providing a comfortable setting for dining. One of the highlights was the ease of getting a table, which made the overall experience convenient. Additionally, the prices were reasonable, making it accessible to a wide range of diners. However, the food fell short in several aspects. Despite offering Nepalese dishes, some lacked authenticity in taste, disappointing those seeking an authentic experience. Some of the dishes were too sweet even when it was mentioned specifically spicy. Moreover, the flavors overall were underwhelming, failing to leave a lasting impression. Additionally, service was notably slow, which detracted from the dining experience. Overall, while Restaurant has its strengths, improvements in flavor authenticity and speed of service would greatly enhance the overall dining experience.

We found this restaurant on Google Maps whilst away on a holiday break and thought it would be nice to try something a little different. The food was absolutely stunning. But what made it so much better was the care that the waiting staff took to explain the menu and describe the dishes they thought we might prefer, according to our tastes. This food has integrity and the staff genuinely care. If I had anything to question, it would be the simplicity of the decor which was a fraction sterile, but that said, it was clean and bright with fresh flowers on the table and clean linens. I really hope we can pass through here again one day soon!!!!

Visited Everest Dine with my sister when we were staying in Hinckley for a few days. We were impressed right from the off with the friendly welcome and clean, fresh appearance of the restaurant. Linen serviettes and fresh flowers added plus points to our first impressions. Reasonably priced drinks were served quickly and the proprietor took time to explain the Nepalese dishes on the menu and make recommendations for our meal. We were keen to try typical Nepalese dishes although there is plenty of more standard Indian fare on the menu too. After popadoms, which were served with 5 different and very fresh salads and pickles, we started with Chicken Momo (dumplings), which were very tasty, but the star of the show was the Nepali Choyla, a dish of deliciously spiced lamb morsels on a bed of crispy rice - we could easily have gone on eating it all night! Our main dishes were Machha Modi Khola, a tomato and coriander rich fish dish, and Chicken Nepal - a creamy korma type dish with the addition of mango which was coconutty and delicious. We accompanied these with vegetable rice - packed with finely chopped fresh vegetables including cauliflower, peas, carrots, coriander and sweetcorn - and a very flaky paratha. We really wish we lived closer and would definitely make the effort to call here again if even remotely in the vicinity.

Far too expensive for the offering. Charge for everything, even an extra onion although the onion with popadom originally given is finished with one spoon! Ordered my chicken spiced came plain, my patner ordered tandoori chicken which stated on menu with mushroom rice, only to get mushroom sauce all over tandoori chicken. Unfortunately, we won’t return terrible

In the heart of our gastronomic pilgrimage, we embarked on a 65-mile odyssey to Everest Dine Restaurant. Whispers of its culinary prowess had reached us through the grapevine—friends and family of Indian lineage, their eyes alight with anticipation. The threshold of this establishment promised more than sustenance; it beckoned with the allure of epicurean revelation. Ambiance: As we crossed the threshold, the décor enveloped us—a harmonious blend of understated elegance and meticulous precision. The restaurant, pristine as a freshly laundered tablecloth, bore witness to its caretakers’ devotion. The air hummed with anticipation, like the overture before a symphony. The Staff: Our hosts, akin to culinary whisperers, guided us to our seats. Their smiles held the promise of secrets shared only with the initiated. Their attentiveness, a delicate dance, ensured our every need was met without intrusion. Appetizers: The Sheek Kebabs arrived, their siren scent weaving through the room. Each morsel, a revelation—an alchemical transformation of spices and fire. The clay oven had bestowed upon them a celestial kiss, rendering them hot, tender, and dripping with succulence. And the Tandoori Chicken—its crimson hue, a testament to its fiery birth—offered a primal communion of smoke and spice. Main Course: Enter the clandestine realm of the RumRum Lamb and the enigmatic Reddy Chicken—a whispered secret passed from chef to patron. The lamb, a sonnet in tenderness, defied the chewy mediocrity that plagues lesser establishments. Its flavour, a crescendo of herbs and slow-cooked devotion, lingered on our palates. As for the Reddy Chicken, its off-menu mystique was justified—a symphony of flavours, harmonizing tradition and innovation. Naan Nirvana: For devotees of the sacred Naan, Everest Dine is a pilgrimage site. The Naan Breads, like celestial disks, graced our table. Not too thick, not too thin—each bite revealed the paradox of crispness and pillowy softness. The clay oven, their divine birthplace, imbued them with smoky whispers of authenticity. And the Keema Naan—a revelation, a hymn to minced lamb and fragrant spices. Chef Ravi’s Revelation: In a hushed tête-à-tête, Chef Ravi unveiled his vision—a forthcoming ode to tradition. Indian Thalis, both vegetarian and non-vegetarian, shall grace Everest Dine’s menu. A nod to ancestral feasts, a celebration of diversity—their arrival promises to be a gastronomic event. The 65-mile pilgrimage was no mere commute; it was a passage into flavor’s sanctum. We depart satiated, yet hungering for our return. To fellow seekers of culinary nirvana, I implore you: ascend Everest Dine. Let your taste buds unfurl like prayer flags in the Himalayan breeze.

Having decided to work our way through the best rated restaurants in Hinckley (according to Trip Advisor) we were looking forward to this one. We arrived early on a Saturday evening soon after opening and were greeted by the new owner of the restaurant who could not have been any friendlier or welcoming. There is a car park opposite literally yards from the front door which is free after 6pm which is ideal. The service throughout was efficient and friendly. The young staff that served our food were really smartly dressed and very friendly. This is a Nepalese restaurant so we were looking forward to trying some different and varied flavours. The owner spent some time with us explaining the dishes especially those ones that are special to the Nepalese. He even gave us a complimentary dish that was absolutely gorgeous. Spicy minced lamb in a steamed dumpling called lamb Momo. I can recommend this as a tasty starter. I had the Nepali Choyla starter which is spicy lamb on a bed of crispy rice .I followed this with Chicken Napal which was a creamy dish very similar to a Korma. Delicious. My wife had Tandori Chicken on the bone (See Photo) which was beautifully cooked. This dish can sometimes be very dry but the chicken was juicy and succulent. We will certainly return over the next few months and try some different dishes. The owner has plans to freshen up the interior which will be interesting to see.

No parking for this restaurant. The car park was being used as a COVID test centre. Had to park in theatre car park about 400-600m away. Friendly enough staff. Whether it was the big group they were catering for, this may be a factor in...

It was by chance that we came across Everest Dine but what a lucky chance it was. The restaurant is slightly away from the centre of Hinckley but has a car park opposite so there is no problem with parking. When telephoning to reserve a...

Soooooooo over priced. Holy moly!! You get next to no food, teeny tiny portions (not exaggerating at least half the size of every other take-away) you pay at least £2 more for each dish than you would anywhere else. AND the quality is shockingly poor. I ordered food about £50 for 2 people assuming we would have seconds, maybe thirds the next day. There was barely enough for a portion each, and we've had to eat a second time tonight, and both meals were terrible quality, undercooked dumplings, over cooked squid, wrong tasting thai curries with cucumber? Almost 0 veg, there were only 4 prawn toasts in a portion, and it had little to no flavour. ... Neither of us will eat a huge meal, and saying there was barely enough for two portions in £50 worth of food from a takeaway is saying a lot. I'm never buying from here again, I have no idea why it's 4.7 stars!

I had heard The Windmill did a nice Sunday lunch. I wasn't prepared for what we got - absolute perfection from the second we walked through the doors. The service was second to none, despite it being clearly very busy, ad we were chatting and forgot to look at the menu, the waiting staff remained good humoured, polite, professional and downright friendly throughout. The came the food. For starters my husband had what he described as 'The freshest prawns he has ever tasted', while my garlic mushrooms were to die for. On to the mains, and our group had a variety of Sunday roasts. All were really well cooked, the slow roasted meats simply fell apart, and were completely delicious. And there was so much! Everything on our plates was cooked to perfection, there was literally nothing you could have wished to be any different. The setting is glorious, the ambience in The Windmill is welcoming, relaxed, and there is a feeling of space, despite there being a lot of people there eating while we were there, there were no difficulties with bumping into other people etc. We will definately be going back, The Windmill is totally amazing.
