Euphorium - Highbury in Islington

Enjoyed this spacious, light cafe and service fine, but quiche was bland. I can't remember what was in it! The side salad was just a spoon ful of butternut and chickpeas, not seasoned, no dressing and butternut a bit hard. Disappointing for £7.75

Food was awful. Overpriced. Service is excellent. I had a spicy chicken sandwich with salad. Too much raw onion in salad and sandwich. I think they had run out of salad so stuffed raw onion instead. I normally like this place but a waste of money today. Hardly any chicken

I've been here a few times when it's busy and the back room is closed. So people squeeze up and share a table, unless someone's on their laptop taking up a table for six. That's bad enough but I do object to sitting in and drinking out of paper cups on my last two visits. Also a little annoyed that the reason given is a broken dishwasher when they're using it to wash plates. You can take a dog in. Go to Gail's over the road and leave the dog behind.

I work at the vineyard in upper street, I come hear almost every single day for a double macchiato with a pinch of caramel syrup (strange order as it is!) and every time the lovely ladies who make them gets it spot on each time! I’ve been to so many coffee shops and none of them get it like the girls here do! Thanks Team!

I was a bit put off by some lukewarm reviews but my Australian niece wanted scones! The staff were lovely and saved me a couple of scones (I popped in earlier) and they were actually delicious scones! This is a busy local cafe and not very posh - the sort of place you’d pop into while you’re shopping - but it’s nice and not pricey and I thought the tea was good.

I used to love Euphorium, especially the Highbury brunch. It's situated in such a delightful location, the people are lovely, and the vibes are all there. The staff are so nice, I've even got friends there. The bakery itself is a great place to loosen up or get some work done but something must have happened with management or with their supply chain because the quality of the food has decreased considerably. An important point which I would like to raise, concerns the lack of vegan food. I don't want to be one of those people that makes it all about their personal lifestyle but the subject does require some context and attention especially if there are others who could benefit from the review. Apparently the concept of veganism is misinterpreted or poorly managed at best. And the prices do not speak of the quality. It is a great shame because the place used to have so many reasonable vegan options. If places with a lot less popularity or customers can do it, so can you. It feels like a step backwards and quite frankly, you have just excluded a large percentage of vegans visiting the bakery and wanting something a little more fancy to snack on. I visited very recently, after the changes, and the display looks poor at best. I don't understand how the food quality dropped. It might be financial, it might be because management thought its vegan clientele wasn't as big as its veggie or carnivore clientele. But from the point of view of a customer, the food just looks sad and it's not likely I'll be going again. If I wanted bread and some avocado sauce I'd pop into tesco's. As a business, this is a decision you must make, unfortunately you cannot presume that you are catering to all dietary requirements when your menu is predominantly carnivore, to a lesser extent veggie and sadly to an even lesser extent vegan. If the vegan food is not going to be of the same quality as the veggie and carnivore food then just take it off altogether and market the bakery differently. Final point, as a serial coffee drinker, I think the change of alternative milk brands has not done the coffee any favours. Rude Health is great for the smoothies but since your coffee is quite a rich blend you'd ideally want an equally rich alternative milk consistency to compliment it and bring out the flavour even more. Rude Health kind of makes the coffee watery. I honestly hope this works to the business' favour. Who knows, it might be the right decision. For the vegan people, save your money. You can surely find better options in the area. The space is, however, still enjoyable and as mentioned above, the staff are great in keeping the place going. The two stars go to the people and the atmosphere.

Great service, delicious food and family friendly with two young kids they have change table and high chairs. Lovely big space.

Ok firstly, as anyone who reads my reviews knows, the MOST important thing for me is if a place is dog friendly... well big tick here, dog friendly with dog compliments thrown in....my dog actually now automatically pulls me into here if I try and walk by... Secondly the food and coffee.... EVERYTHING I have ordered from here is exceptional be it food or hot drinks, reasonably priced for the area and the portions are fantastic.....I recommend the vanilla latte and the hearty and delicious porridge Thirdly but definately not least.... The staff.... Anna and her fantastic team....Honestly they are just really lovely people, yeah I know I'm a paying customer but actually... the second I walk in they greet me and make me feel comfortable and welcome...a big smile, a hello and the young man ALWAYS says nice to see you again.... They really don't need to do this....but they do... and they all smile and chat....nothing is too much.....they make me feel like a regular despite the fact I have only been using this place for a short time.... Fourth.....humanity ....they have heaps.... There is a homeless lady (I won't say her name here) who begs on the road locally, she comes in here and they give her coffee and a chat.... They treat her like a paying customer and most importantly a human and don't look down on her... they call her by name and ask her about her life based on previous conversations they have had... because they actually listen and care..... To me that's a huge huge thumbs up and a very beautiful thing I'll keep coming in because it's warm (I don't mean heat wise) it's clean, the food is good and the decor is great....but my main reason for coming back is the wonderful Anna and her great happy and polite team :) I enjoy it here Thanks guys

The food and pastries here are very excellent, I’ve visited several times in the past. However unfortunately on my recent trip here the girl behind the check out was extremely rude and claimed she couldn’t hear me through my face mask but she was not polite about this at all- the way she spoke to me was very rude - I had to repeat myself a few times and her attitude was so appalling that I had to ask her colleague to serve me who was able to hear me perfectly fine! I had a previous experience here, possibly with the same girl, when I also received very rude service. The other staff here seem very nice and the food is excellent, but I think this person needs some further training on how to speak to customers!

I used to go here every morning as the coffee is good, but unfortunately I won't come back as the service is terrible and I have been treated really badly. Not only they would see me every single day and not even acknowledge that (not necessary but would have been nice) - but when I ordered something on the menu asking to simply leave out an ingredient on a piece of toast, the waitress gave me the worst attitude like I asked her god knows what, looking at me judgmentally cause I didn't want avocado on a toast and refused to do so. they lost a regular

As always is amazing spending time in Euphorium in High & Islington. Lovely place and best staff ever, especially Anna and Mallory. They are the heart of the shop. Keep going with your positivity and joyful that you gave to the customers and to me. Thank you guys xx

I have not been here for ages and never had an iced coffee but today tried an iced mocha which had a nice balance of chocolate and coffee and wasn't too sweet so very good.

The sandwiches and salads on offer are much improved since the smart refurbishment earlier this year and the cafe offers a nice and bright space. Service is lovely and friendly. However, I primarily visit Euphorium to buy bread and it is consistently in short supply, with very little choice, even early in the day. The bakery side of the business seems to be more of an afterthought now, which I find a pity. I can only guess there just wasn’t the demand.

Me & my friends are a frequent of customers of Euphorium cafe in Belsize. It’s quite frustrating because we like this cafe but... it takes forever to wait for just a cup of tea or coffee!! If you want a quick take away hot drink this place is terrible!! Weather this place is busy or not, the very slow service is the same! Please Euphorium management sort out your staff in this branch. They seems to be like taking their time in just making a cup of coffee!!

We stopped in for Coffee and Cake. Lovely cafe - bright with nice decor - much prefer this to costa/Starbucks/Nero which are quite grotty in islington. Really like the crockery they use to serve the food on. Will definitely return

Scotch pancakes were absolutely yum, loved every bit of it, I always expect my food and I love it hot. My beautiful desert lacked it. Also marshmallows were missing from my ultimate hot chocolate 😭 marshmallows where you at? Did you melt? 🙄

Ordered earl grey tea with triple chocolate croissant which I found its quite tasty and good atmosphere. Also good selection bread and cakes.
