EtnaCoffee in City of London, Westminster

Today I first time came for the coffee and lunch. My Coffe was wonderful, it was real flat white. Staff was so nice and friendly. After their recommendation I tried the affogato- and for now it is my favorite desert in that place. Thank you!

Used to be good but quality dropped and price rises. Sad.

Lovely authentic Sicilian street food in a popular part of London. We had a spinach arancini, panini & lots of coffee. Good food at a good price for London and a really relaxed atmosphere. Coffee was particularly good & very smooth!

Very disappointing experience. I’ve been to this place multiple times over the years and, as an Italian, I can say that it used to be good and authentic. I’ve been back now after a while and the quality was, not only what it used to be before, but not to the standard of an Italian deli that deserves to be called as such. Arancini were very good I have to say, but cannoli were of very poor quality. Also, then my main complaint was that I ordered a pistachio cannolo expecting to have pistachio spread with real pistachio which is also used for the tarts sold in the same shop, but instead the filling was of a very weird dark green colour and unusual taste and texture. When I then asked for clarification, I was told by a member of the stuff that it was pistachio cream, and I when I insisted that it wasn’t, she explained that it was custard mixed to pistachio, which is is definitely not something that is used in Italy, especially for cannoli. Selling a product like that in an Italian deli is misleading. We also had a ricotta cannolo which was very sugary and nowhere near to the one that this deli used to make and that I used to have. Very sad as this used to be one of my favourite spots and I have been recommending it to people, but the quality is unfortunately quite poor and I won’t return again.

My wife and I travelled an hour specifically to visit this café after reading glowing reviews about its high-quality cannoli. Unfortunately, our experience didn’t quite live up to expectations. The service was underwhelming—the man serving us didn’t seem very friendly. We ordered cannoli and coffees, along with some extra cannoli to take away. Since we had never tried cannoli before, we were excited but ultimately found them disappointing. While the shell was crispy, the filling lacked depth of flavour—it was just overwhelmingly sweet without any real complexity. Compared to other Italian desserts like tiramisu, cannoli felt quite basic. It was essentially a mouthful of sugary cream, which left us underwhelmed. Another downside was the lack of a toilet, which could be inconvenient for those choosing to sit in. Additionally, where we were seated, there were no paper handkerchiefs or napkins available, which seemed like a small but noticeable oversight for a café. Overall, while the café may have its fans, we personally didn’t find the trip worthwhile.

Good service, nice people. Good croissants but lasagna changed again, now it's not made at Etna coffee, it's pre-made food, warmed up in the microwave made by a British company with preservatives, cost 9.95 pounds. It tastes bad. You can get the same lasagna portions at M&S.

Thursday 24th evening…very rude staff

I saw this place being promoted by a couple foodie influencers on socials so one day I decided to give it a try for a quick coffee before heading off elsewhere. I ordered an oat flat white to have in and it's empty when I went in. The coffee was not that great tbh. But it was really nice to be able to people-watch. Before I left, I got a couple baked goods to go and I ordered the brontella and pistachio croissant. I re-heated the croissant in my air fryer before eating and it's amazing. The croissant was super flaky and buttery and had lots of pistachio cream in it although it was only added on one side of the croissant so it wasn't equally spread out. The brontella was way too sweet for me that I had to eat it in three sittings to not waste any food. It's got a lot of crushed pistachio on the outside which was great as it added more texture but the inside was quite heavy and dense with layers of pistachio cream and biscuit. I just wasn't a big fan of this. Service was good while I was at the café. The lady was smiley and friendly. The atmosphere was chill as it's a rather quiet café even though it's on the high street. Customers did come and go but the turnover was quick so you could always find a seat. Overall, it's an okay café that I would be happy revisiting if I am around the area and I would be interested in trying their tarts and cannoli next time

Their traditional cannolo was absolutely amazing. It transported me back to Sicily 😍 and the Arancino al Ragu was delicious!

Came here by chance once, and now I will always come back when I'm in the area, just because of the perfect Cannoli! I didn't have such good Cannoli since I was on Sicily - they are filled fresh when ordering, so that it's still really crispy on the outside and not soaked through. And the ricotta cream is of course just perfect as well 👌

Entiendo que era un domingo, un día en particular, y tal vez la ausencia del propietario era notable. En cuanto a la comida, a diferencia de lo que ocurría en el pasado, falta mucho de la rotisserie siciliana, lo que me decepcionó mucho. Pedimos una pizza que dejaba mucho que desear; no cumplía con los estándares italianos en absoluto. La pizza estaba claramente hecha con masa pre-cocida. Pedimos una pizza de champiñones y jamón, y lo que recibimos fue una pizza con tres rebanadas enteras de jamón frío que cubría toda la pizza, y aceitunas frías simplemente echadas encima del jamón. Afortunadamente, los arancini y el cannolo fueron realmente excelentes como siempre — el mejor cannolo de Londres.

What a delightful find! I tried the pistachio croissant, and it was loaded with the creamiest pistachio filling, absolutely perfect. The menu offers a great variety of Sicilian pastries and other treats, all at very affordable prices.

Pedí el latte de pistacho que era un 0 / 5 - que aparece en la lista de café helado, pero no viene con expreso (así que pagué por una inyección) , no se puede probar el pistacho y básicamente solo sabe a leche. Mi amigo pidió un capuchino que era normal. El ricotta cannoli era súper promedio también. La tarta de pistacho, sin embargo, era bastante buena - no necesariamente esperaría mejor crema de pistacho en Londres de todos modos. En general muy bien - ish experiencia. Pagamos alrededor de £ 20 por esto que se sentía como demasiado para cómo sabía.

It is a Sicilian bar in a nice area of Baker street in London they sell delicious food, coffee, dessert speciality of Sicily.

Very casual atmosphere. I enjoyed a cup of iced coffee latte and a mini bite. The mini bite is sold for £1 only. That's why it makes me to pick up easily when I want to have 1 bite sweets with coffee. I want to try to have lunch next.

Small and beautifully decorated coffee shop. They have more option than a normal one, but the taste is average.

smallest lasagne i have ever seen for 11 quid shame as it was nice just tiny would of returned it but had got to the office before opening to reveal a lasagne that would of been small for even the quantum realm had to go buy a sandwich after it as i was hungrier than before i started .

Had the Alla Norma Arancini and flat white and it was a nice experience. The coffee was strong and hot as I like it and the arancini was a bit of a wait but tasted good.

Lovely little Italian eatery. Arancini was fab, as per my partner: "Really hot and rice isn't dry. Like having a well cooked ball of risotto". I've had better parmigiana but that was in Italy so I won't judge too harshly!

Ordered the following via Delivery: - Mamma's Lasagna (£12.00) - Fried Sicilian Calzone Ham (£6.20) - Cannolo Pistachio with Pistachio on top (£6.00) Review: - The Lasagna was like a flavour bomb in your mouth. Only improvement would have been the portion size as it was quite small, it leaves you wanting more. - The Fried Sicilian Calzone was different and tasted a bit like a savoury donut. The taste was not my cup of tea. - The Cannolo delivers in flavour, the pistachio was very prominent and delicious. It's a nice dessert to finish the meal. Pricing: Overall, pricing is very reasonable. Portion size of the lasagne could have been slightly bigger. I would say there are probably certain dishes that are better than others overall such as the Lasagne and Cannoli.

The cafe is very small cozy, has an authentic Italian feel. The food was also good but most people seemed to order ice cream or coffee so I guess that’s what they’re popular for. The service was ok, the girl at the till looked very miserable, didn’t smile once.

Authentic, small Sicilian restaurant. Not only but also especially inviting for brunch: warm, fresh arancini and pastries from the finest, best café in the whole hood, here nothing is served in one-way cutlery/cups when eaten on site, very friendly. Extremely friendly people too, tutto a posto 🤌

A bright bustling cafe with nice decor. But a total let down by the food. It was a long wait for Arancini and staff looked bored. Not worth over £6each. Ragu arancini was lacking depth of flavour and ham and cheese had very little ham.more like cheese arancini! Ppl seem to go for the coffee or ice cream. If you came here for the arancini,don't bother.

I’ll start by saying I’m not Sicilian, nor even Italian, so I can’t claim to have the level of insight gained from eating these dishes for a lifetime. But I have eaten my way around Sicily several times, so I can confidently assert that, at least to this outsider’s palate, EtnaCoffee offers as authentic an experience of the island’s rich street food scene as you can hope to find on our rather milder shores. I first became a repeat customer of this small, family-run business on the strength of their typical Sicilian sweets, but have since come to love many of their savoury offerings as well; not an easy double-act to pull off this well! Starting with the cannoli, EtnaCoffee’s set the standard for how a classic cannolo should be: a tube of fried pastry with sweetened fresh ricotta piped in only(!) after you order, creating the perfect marriage of light, fluffy dairy filling barely contained by an almost impossibly brittle flaky shell. This together with one of their proper Italian-tasting short coffees is guaranteed to soothe your London blues at any time of day or year. Their granita, meanwhile, plays protagonist to one of the best summer breakfasts you can find in this city. For the uninitiated, going out to a bar for a granita and a brioscia col tuppo (a brioche-like sweet bun) is mine and probably most Sicilians’ preferred way to start a sweltering hot day. Forget all those brunch concept places your feed is sending you on IG – this is just as photogenic, and much more delicious. EtnaCoffee’s granite stand up to the best I’ve tried in Sicily; the pistachio, nutty and cream but not heavy (much more refreshing than gelato), and the almond almost medicinally marzipan-fragranced. Order the latter with a brioscia and an espresso on the side and your server will likely compliment you on having assembled one of the best flavour combos known to humankind! Just bear in mind that the Bauso brothers hold true to Italian tradition in only offering their frozen confections during the (relatively) warmer months. But don’t worry, they have plenty of other items on the menu to please your stomach at this chillier time of year. For a start, their cioccolata looks appropriately thick and abundant, though I’ve yet to try it myself…What I can vouch for, though, is the quality of their various piping-hot savoury street foods! Their arancini are exemplary. Generous with the filling, perfectly crisp, fresh out of the fryer, posso dire di più? A must-try if you’ve never been to Sicily. Meanwhile, a newer addition and immediate favourite on a recent visit are their calzoni fritti! These looks to my untrained eye very much like the panzerotti I’ve had in Puglia, but the dough is slightly thicker and spongier than I’m used to, which I think actually makes for a more satisfying eating experience as you’re essentially biting into a freshly fried, cheese-filled doughnut. An ideal lunch for me is pairing one of these bombe with what I consider the Bauso family’s not-so-secret-secret weapon – the caponata! I’m definitely biased as this is probably one of my favourite dishes in the world, but EtnaCoffee’s is the best I’ve had in the UK and a beautiful sweet-sour-fresh foil to all their devilishly good fried fare. Venue-wise, the space is more cozy than spacious, and, as some reviews have mentioned, they could do with installing a customer toilet...But I don't think these would be concerns for most going to a bar or tavola calda place in Italy - they're there to eat or drink, have a quick chat and go. The staff are also friendly enough without being obsequious, and it can really feel like Italy in there at times, like when there’s a steady stream of suited customers queuing up for their late-morning or mid-afternoon caffè, or a multi-generational group of family and friends laughing amongst themselves in the corner. For the above reasons, EtnaCoffee’s been a fixture in my London routine for a few years already, and I wish them all the success they deserve (I still need to get back to try their homemade crema al caffè!).

If you want to have an Italian breakfast, this is definitely the place to go. I was shocked by the fact that there is no bathroom.

Sono stata da Etna Coffe a Londra ben due volte. La prima per provare, la seconda perché volevo assaggiare qualcosa di buono e sapevo già che da Etna Coffe avrei mangiato bene. Infatti il mio palato è stato accontentato😊 Abbiamo preso gli arancini, la caponata e i cannoli siciliani. Tutto buonissimo, davvero. Filippo, il proprietario è stato sempre gentilissimo. È bello ritrovare a Londra la qualità del cibo italiano e la simpatia dei siciliani! Lo consiglio agli italiani che visitano Londra e vogliono street food veloce ma di ottima qualità; ai vegetariani come me, che hanno diverse opzioni, tra cui gli arancini agli spinaci e la buonissima caponata siciliana. Lo consiglio agli inglesi che cercano il vero Italian street food come quello che si mangia in Italia. La ricotta dei cannoli è fresca e buona come quella che ho mangiato in Sicilia.Nessuna differenza, non me l'aspettavo! Ci ritornerò ogni volta che passerò da Londra! 😂 A pochi metri a piedi dalla metro di Baker Street. Un consiglio: prima di andare controllate gli orari e i giorni di apertura.

If I could leave zero stars, or better still, negative stars, I would. I was in the area this afternoon and called in for a bite to eat. Was absolutely APPALLED to witness that a tray of croissants, which had been dropped on the floor, was scooped up with bare hands and put back on display!!!! Added to which, the floor really wasn’t that clean. Literally made me heave. Will not be going back!!
