Now I do not claime to know anything about Ethiopian food, so thought the best way was to try some. What I had was a good mixture of flavours on one plate. Hot, a little spicy, and different textures. Like a lot of stalls, this one also had queues for the food. So be prepared to wait a bit.

Well spiced, a bit of kick to it and the portions for a medium is really filling. I had the medium beef with 2 and a bit of sides as there wasn’t enough of the one I wanted.

Absolutamente delicioso.

Had lunch in borough market at a fantastic stall. I had to wait in a Line of ‘20 people & it was good. Ethiopian food cooked to a high standard as you wait. Veggie food in available. I had the chicken and beef combo with sliced beans & carrots with dhal rice and pancakes base Fantastic. Hot fresh and full of flavour. The market was packed and this stall was busy. £8.50 all in for a good lunch meal’ I walked passed this stall about one hour later and counted 25 people in the line buying this food. The guys we’re working there socks off’ to make sure you lifted happy with your food order. Well done great food.

Delicious food and great value! Love that you can also choose two vegetable side dishes too. The inerja bread was really interesting to try. I'll definitely be back!

Absolutely hands down some of the tastiest food you’re likely to eat in Borough. Among the burgers and oysters (yawn) Thai and falafels (double yawn) is the chance to eat something you don’t find everywhere. Flavour and variety (the mixed combo and choice of 2 veggie sides is king) as well as HUGE portions for not a lot of money in this tourist hotspot makes this stall a regular option not just one you try once. Sharpen your elbows and get in the queue.

A Fantastic Introduction to Ethiopian Cuisine! Zeret Kitchen was my first time trying Ethiopian food, and it did not disappoint! I visited with my aunty after attending a prior function, and we decided to give it a try based on its strong reputation on Google Reviews. The service was fantastic, and the staff were incredibly welcoming. They even complimented our attire, which was a thoughtful and kind gesture that added to the warm experience. We were really pleased to see that hospitality is an important part of their culture, and it made us feel at home. We decided to share a meal and also try the coffee ceremony, which was such an interesting and fun experience! They brought out the coffee beans frying in a pan, allowing us to see, hear, and smell the rich aroma as they roasted—a wonderful touch that truly immersed us in the tradition. I had never tried anything like that before, and it made the experience even more enjoyable. The sharing platter was also delicious. The sauces were rich and flavorful, and the staff were very helpful in explaining how to eat the meal properly. They were also attentive and provided us with extra injera whenever we needed it, which we really appreciated. The atmosphere and decor were beautiful, creating a warm and inviting dining space. It felt cozy yet authentic, making it a perfect setting to experience Ethiopian cuisine. They also had very nice artwork, which I presume reflects Ethiopian culture, adding to the overall ambiance. Overall, Zeret Kitchen delivered an amazing introduction to Ethiopian food and culture. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great food, friendly service, and a unique dining experience!
