Very good japanese restaurant, the service is fast and good. The food is really tasty and not too pricy

Went in with a group of friends and was seated instantly, I must say I had one of the best katsu Currys, the rice was perfect, not too spicy it was honestly amazing, I can't wait to go back and try more!

The restaurant, staff and food are all awesome! We love coming here. One of our favourite places to eat. The manager is such a gem! My fave dishes are salmon sashimi and octopus balls..absolutely delish!!! Defo recommend

I used to love coming here but the lady with short hair working is just so rude that I never come here anymore and it’s a shame since the food is nice. The man who used to serve more often especially during Covid was so nice it’s a shame because hospitality means a lot and I won’t eat somewhere I have anxiety going because of how I will be treated.

Bad service by the waitress (very rude) they made us feel extremely uncomfortable by her service!

We have been here before when we last visited Glasgow and wanted to come back instantly! So this time we brought our guests too, who also loved the food! Sushi, sashimi, rolls, tempura, wakame salad and basically everything we ordered we loved! Last time we had the Bento Box lunch, which was also great! The service was excellent thanks to the lovely waiter whom we recognised from last year... Thank you!!

I had ordered on deliveroo and the food was very poor. I did ask for a refund and sent photos but they said there was no refund. Please don’t order anything seafood as it is full of fish sticks and chewy tasteless seafood

My husband and I have lunch here whenever we’re in Glasgow and we want to have sushi we go to Esushi . It’s always great food and service. Love it.

Great food and very attentive wait staff. Really interesting range of Japanese with an unusual twist with some of the sushi. The place was a haven of relaxation, and even with a small baby, there was plenty of space and the staff were patient and sympathetic when we needed a few extra minutes. Try the sake!! Was awesome and refreshing for such a strong drink, and subtle. My new favourite

This establishment empties its used glass bottles into the general waste bins, every single day of the week, rather than recycle them into a bottle bank. It should be illegal to do this, but they don't care in the slightest. Think of all the energy that goes into making glass, just for them to throw hundreds of bottles every week into general waste.

Short-haired waitress, every time her attitude is atrocious and rude, as if the whole world owes her money. I've ordered from this takeout plus restaurant more than ten times, and encountering this woman is truly a stroke of bad luck. Last time, she even dropped a plate while serving. Never again. I don’t want to go through this dreadful experience one more time. Every time she’s so unresponsive, I can’t tell if she’s here to wait tables or to act like the boss over customers. She should consider starting her own company instead of pretending to serve here, because no customer is going to tolerate her behavior. Everyone else has a good attitude, but I've seen complaints about her before. It seems she hasn't improved at all over the years. It's disgraceful. This time, she claimed the store wasn’t open and immediately kicked me out. Seriously, your door was clearly unlocked and anyone could walk in. You could at least ask politely instead of showing that perpetual sour face—were you born with it? There’s no need to rush people out like that, is there? Maybe next time, you should lock the door securely and make sure no one comes in. That’s your responsibility. Finally, you can continue your cleaning at your own snail’s pace. Haha.

They made a point to not consider our food prefrences and made us feel extremely uncomfortable. They were the exact opposite of service orientated. In the end they kicked us out since they weren't willing to make the regular dish without the senstive ingredients.

Genuinely the worst sushi I have ever had delivered. I’ve had better out of Boots. I’ve had food delivered from here before, but my latest experience was well below par.

Every dish ordered was absolutely delicious, highly recommend the tuna, salmon, seaweed and tofu.

ESushi is as close to Japanese food as you can get in Glasgow. They're my go-to whenever I crave a bit of home, though I rarely sit-in. Menu has a wide range of choice between raw and cooked sushi, hot dishes, lunch bento sets... dietary options clearly marked inc veggie/vegan, GF/DF, nut-free etc. There are other restaurants which are solely dedicated to a better ramen than here, but they have all the other usual crowd pleasers like katsu curry, tempura, salmon rolls, but some of the less common offerings too like nabe, miso dengaku, okonomiyaki etc. The service is always helpful, thorough, efficient and discreet whenever I'm in. Takeaway pick-ups and via UberEats are fairly consistent. The bento sets are great value for money, and they're also currently offering 20% off sit-in from 12-3pm for the months of April, May and June.

Absolutely fantastic fresh sushi, however it is extremely expensive.

Fantastic restaurant! First time here and loved it. Came with a friend and his daughter. We had some really nice starters, Tetaki beef, Ebi popcorn and Gyoza parcels to starter then had the amazing chef recommendation sushi like dragon fly, rainbow trout and golden roll! Superb sushi! The staff were so lovely too, so friendly and helpful. Seriously excellent place! Definitely recommend!

I ordered food for takeaway, but got the wrong one just to make it fast.

Super good food - I recommend the ebi popcorn (+ rice), eel supreme, and tofu steak don. Chill music and nice decorations. Old review: The food is pretty good, but they automatically added their own 10% tip with the bill and didn't ask me at all. No mention about it, just appears on the bill when you get it.

I used to love e-sushi but the last 2 times I was there the service was worse! I gave them a chance last night because the food was delicious and I am sushi fan. The waitress put me sat the table behind then they not come to ask me for a drink. I was calling them everytime so I wasn’t happy customer tbh. I decided not go back there anymore. I would give them —0 for the service.

The food was okay. Being a Vegan there weren't many options and taste wise it did not meet my expectations. They should add some more options maybe 🤔. I had vegetable Gyoza in the starter , in main course I had Tofu steak Don along with Miso soup 🍲 and a coke. One time try for vegans.

Such a cute lil place on Byers road. Went here for a couple of drinks and some sushi. Had a couple of bento boxes as well and some miso soup, which was very comforting. Found it very affordable and equally enjoyable.

Always a warm welcome at ESushi. The service is on a par with the food and has kept us coming back since it opened . After disappointment with a booking elsewhere earlier in the evening (see my other reviews), we couldn’t have hoped for a better night. The Nasu Dengaku is my absolute favourite thing. I could eat 10 of them tbh. We also had veggie gyoza, spicy edamame, tebasaki, teriyaki chicken, tuna temaki and complimentary miso soup. Loved seeing the incredible sushi platters coming out to other tables, beautifully arranged and a real spectacle. The ladies serving were a delight and really cheered us up. Thank you!

Had lovely meals here last night, very nice cosy restaurant. We had the inari nigiri, potato croquettes, yasai soba and Katsu curry which were all really delicious. Great prices and good portions. The staff were super welcoming and friendly.

On s est régalé. On est venu... on est même revenu. Les plats sont excellents. Apres 1 semaine de plats bourrés de frites, ca fait vraiment du bien d avoir des plats frais, cuisinés, légers et excellents.

I don't know but I think this place need more light. For me it just too dark. Apart from that, food and drink are taste good. They said that they use halal chicken, beef and duck. You can ask their staff for more detail information.

Estuvo delicioso!! Fuimos por primera vez y ha sido un descubrimiento maravilloso. Tenían música de jazz de ambiente y la decoración es muy acogedora, te invita a disfrutar el momento. A beautiful restaurant with a great atmosphere, delightful food and kindly staff (who were willing to let my clumsy self use a fork without fuss!) My first sushi experience but I'm certain to return again.

Food was great, didn't wait long for the food to come, service wasn't great though. Doing the job of passing the dishes down for them since they couldn't fit round the big spaces behind the chairs, they seemed quite dismissive at times. Also the fact their is no option on the card machine for a 10% tip and straight to 15% annoyed me to.

Great selection and portion sizes were perfect! Bento box is a must & the sushi is great value for money!

rude service staff. we booked a table for 4 adults and 3 kids at 6:30. my son is 3 years old and he can't eat restaurant food, i brought soup and asked the staff to heat it up just 2 minutes. but it took more than 30 minutes for the staff to bring it out. When we entered the table, the waiter showed a discriminatory attitude. we were eating until 7.20pm when the staff said this table was booked at 8pm. The staff meant to kick us out. We promise never to come back. You too, should not eat here. they discriminate against foreigners.

I went on esushi 3 times and was very nice the service was excellent. Last Sunday I went and the service was really bad, the short haired waitress was so rude, slammed the plates on the table. I try for the first time the miso soup that was included on the set menu with the main, I didn't like and my husband had just half as he didn't want to get to full up, when she cleared the table she say to us IF YOU DONT WANT SAY BEFORE I BRING TO THE TABLE well if I don't try how I will know I don't like! The main came and my was supposed to come with vegetables and when I said to her the answer was IS NOT BECAUSE YOU SEE ON THE MENU IT MEANS YOU WILL GET THE SAME and she went to the bar and start laughing with a lady who cooked the food. I was so embarrassed. After that experience we will find a new Japanese restaurant and doubt we will return!

Ordered teriyaki chicken and rice gluten free. Specifically asked for Gluten free was confidentially confirmed that it was indeed gluten free....guess wat?.......been ill for days don't wanna actually write skitters here as it would be way too much detail. There's and old Johnny cash song that I can't get out my head during my regular visits to the toilet....ring of fire......ring of fire....never again...NEVER!

Really amazing food and speciality tea which can also be shared between two. Amazing atmosphere and wonderful staff. Very special experience. I booked this on a whim while visiting Glasgow and it turned out to be the best decision ever!

Lovely place to sit in. Great attention to detail, from furniture to dishes presentation. Very friendly and quick service. My only issue was a surprisingly poor vegetarian choice. It seemed as the menu didn't quite fit the place. It could have been taken from any other ordinary sushi place.

This is the best Sushi/Japanese restaurant in Glasgow, hands down, always reccommend it to anyone wanting sushi. Food is amazing, staff are always lovely even when busy, atmosphere and decor is a vibe. Bit pricier than the hundreds of other sushi places in Glasgow but you really do get what you pay for in this case. Definitely worth a visit if you like Japanese food. 👍

The name is decieving! Went here after a recommendation from a friend, even though my partner and I have no interest in sushi at all. I'm very glad we did! There's a huge selection of delicious food and not just sushi! Staff were lovely, the food was fantastic and came very quickly.

great Japanese restaurant @ Byers Road and near UofG.. if you spend money occasionally on restaurant food then the items are quite affordable.. for a regular go they are a *bit* costly.. the portion is great and i will recommend not to take too many items if you do not have much appetite because you won't wish to waste those tasty food 😂 also, the ambience is really really nice with soft lo-fi jazz music in the background.

I have been here toniht and every week for the last 5 weeks and and I have had ramen on three occasions and the chicken yaki soba on the other two occasions along with different sushi dishes and a special tea that is meant to make you become beautiful . 🥰every time the food is amazing. I find the service as good as a fine dining restaurant because all the staff are very attentive and make sure you are very well looked after. This is the reason why I'm having my son's 18th birthday here next Saturday!

Quick service, really tasty sushi! I totally recommend the sushi rolls they have here, big portion, nicely presented, just so delicious! My friends love the duck roll, my favourite is the dark dragon roll, if you love eel you have to give this a try! It has tempura prawn in the sushi as well! The salmon sushi platter and nigiri combo is all good, so is the sashimi trio. The bento boxes are very cute too! One of the best sushi places in west end, I can’t wait to come back again and try more! The service is so friendly and the food was served super quickly, nice decor inside, the menu has a wide range of food from fried rice to sashimi they have it all, would recommend!

The food was delicious, the decor and restaurant were gorgeous, and the staff were all deeply kind, warm, and lovely people! They were utterly wonderful with my son and went above and beyond for all of us. Can't recommend this place enough!

They gave me sushi that had gone bad on Deliveroo. I tried to make a claim and they rejected giving me compensation. I still expect a refund because my sushi was not safe to eat

This has become my go-to place for sushi, I have become addicted to California rolls ever since I tried theirs. Decent prices for Byres Road and the staff is very friendly :) the floor is beautiful and feels special, ideal for a night out with friends or a date! But also eating solo like I do 😁

글래스고에서 맛있고 양 넉넉하고, 심지어 계산하고 나오면서 "다른 메뉴 못 먹어봐서 아쉬우니까 다시 와야지" 생각이 드는 식당은 1년동안 아직 여기밖에 못 찾았음. 음식 퀄리티 생각하면 가격은 저렴하게까지 느껴지는 편이에요! 다만 메뉴판이 너무 촌스럽게 생겨서 초면엔 신뢰가 안갔음ㅋㅋㅋ

I order chicken curry and it's really how curry is. The taste was just perfect. The place was really comfortable for taking a japanese meal while chit-chat with your friend. Staffs are really nice and I think one of them can speak melayu
