Escobar Tapas Cocktails in Nottingham

We sat outside in the beautiful sunshine enjoying drinks. The atmosphere was amazing, but the toilets were absolutely disgusting. No toilet roll dirty santry product on the floor as no bins to put them in and hand wash watered down. What a shame.

Myself and a friend visited on Saturday evening. We had a few cocktails to some good music. Great bar. I’ll definitely return!

We stumbled across this place on May bank holiday. They had a two for £12 cocktail deal on so we took advantage. For our second round of drinks we ordered the Negroni. Having never had one before we quickly discovered that they were not for us and asked for some different drinks. I fully expected to it for both but to my surprise when the bill came, we weren’t charged for the replacement cocktails which was a great touch considering it wasn’t the staffs fault we didn’t like them. Staff all really friendly. Will definitely be back

Not even a South American owned business which is very disappointing. Las Iguanas is more authentic than this place, and at least the tapas there are tasty and worth the money. Their garlic prawns were tasteless and the whole plate basically just consisted of wilted mixed leaf salad more than the small wimpy prawns. The wings were clearly microwaved and poor quality. The nachos were so small it was a rip off and they were stodgy. The chips here are soggy and barely seasoned, McDonald’s fries are much better even. The chicken tostadas were dry and again, the portion was terrible as you only get 3 tiny little things. The drinks were just juice and I even saw the bartender with the turban tasting the cocktails with a straw and then serving it with that straw that he had placed in his mouth back into the drink. That was the last straw - excuse the pun. Plates were greasy and the cutlery were also dirty and smelt weird. I wouldn’t recommend this place to a dead person. Go up Angel Road to a classic Las Iguanas or even the revolucion de cuba next door.

Really great place to have nice vibes with your partner, food was great, cocktails looked really good and tasted amazing,the food was amazing with a lot of different tipa choose. Can't even talk about the staff, always present and making sure you having a great time and providing you of everything we needed. I suggest everyone to try it out!.

I had a particularity bad experience here when I received my food I noted to the manager that I believed for it to be rather cold and when I informed the manager he threatened me and demanded that we leaved. The cocktails where also very questionable with peculiar blends of ingredients.

Walked into what seemed like a nice bar that had ridiculously loud music playing to the point i couldn’t hear my partner. The bar was not busy at all, only around 1 or 2 tables sat. Very odd atmosphere. Chose where we sat and the tables felt sticky. Baskets with un-polished cheap cutlery poorly wrapped sat on the table with what seemed out of date ketchup as the colour was off. Ordered some cocktails which didn’t taste like alcohol in the slightest, just juice. The selection of other drinks didn’t have many options either. To top things both toilet seats were broken in the ladies. Not worth the money, quality was not very good.

Food tasted like it had been heated up in the microwave. Overpriced for cheap tasting alcohol. Squid was inedible. Management came across rude and unprofessional and were bad mouthing their employees. Do not go, there are much better places in Nottingham.

Truly awful food and aggressive front of house staff specifically the person in the blue turban! Shocking.

Really nice atmosphere, small and cosy and everyone is seated, it’s table service so no fighting to get served at the bar. Cocktails are amazing. Leon looked after us, he was very nice and attentive to 6 ladies 🥂🥂🥂 looking forward to returning soon. I gave 4* because I didn’t like the very high table we sat at.

Found this place by accident after everywhere else was busy. Glad we decided to go in and give it a try. Serves Tapas and cocktails were 2 for £12. The service was really good and everyone was so polite. The food didn’t take to long to arrive. Was all hot and there was no complaints regarding the taste. If I have one complaint it’s the staff take empty plates and glasses while you’re still eating. I would prefer to have the table cleared once I have finished. Will definitely come here again

Well what can i say, Myself and 4 friends booked a pre Theatre meal at a another place months ago, and got let down, We went in to see if Raj and his team could fit us in at the last minute, no problem whats so ever.. The service was amazing the Tapas was wonderful, we couldnt believe our luck 🍀 A perfect start to a brilliant night in Nottingham... Thanks Raj and your lovely team we will definitely be back very soon keep up the good work.. Service with a smile means a lot 💖

Overpriced cold bland food and terrible management. In this cost of living crisis, save your hard earned money and pop to Revs de Cuba down the road!

My wife and I visited for Saturday late lunch. Mia welcomed us, and led us to a table. She guided us through the selection of cocktails, several of which we ended up enjoying immensely. The tapas was ordered and arrived pretty quickly. It was very tasty. Mia was very helpful, and really made our lunchtime that bit more special. The cocktails we had were awesome too. Passionfruit Mo Gin To, Maple Old Fashioned, White Russian, and Negroni - all x2. Highly recommended, thanks Mia

Went here before a concert at the Theatre Royal and wish we hadn't. The cocktails were fine. We should have stopped there. We ordered some basic tapas - chips, nachos, a chicken dish and deep fried fish. The chips were cold and soggy with way too much topping on. The Nachos were also soggy and drenched in topping. The chicken dish was cold and the chicken was manky and dry. The only dish that was anywhere near decent was the fish which you could tell had been freshly done. We were the only ones in at the time so couldnt blame it on a rush of orders. Bill came to nearly £50. We hadn't got time to go anywhere else and were hungry. Wont be recommending or coming back.The service was good.
