Escape Lounge in North Somerset

Raul was amazing, so friendly and helpful.

A much need oasis in a busy airport. Good food, great service and relaxing. The only let down is that all the soft drinks were diet options 🤢 HUGE thanks to Lauren for being so helpful and friendly. She's a real superstar ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

In the mornings is extremely busy. The staff did well to manage the crowd but it was too busy for my liking.

Ruth on the desk was incredibly warm and welcoming. She made out experience 5stars! Without her it would have been a 3. Thank you Ruth!! X

Got to be the worst lounge in the world for access , you can never get in, staff seem to take Delight in turning you away , It’s far too small for the demand Once you get in which is rare the place is ok

Absolutely disgusted by the attitude and lack of courtesy given to us by staff at this lounge on 21/04/25 at around 17:30. The man at the desk was the single most unhelpful and sarcastic individual. When we presented to the lounge with our pre booked passes instead of being helpfully redirected or informed we were very bluntly told they were full and we should’ve read the signs. An atrocious service to receive and with passes being nearly £50 requested a refund we took our clearly not welcome selves and went elsewhere. If you’re in Bristol Airport and looking to relax in the lounge… Don’t do it if that man is working!!

Not impressed, been here several times but food was lukewarm so left it! Mentioned to waiter not interested would not waste money again!!! Updated review - Duty Manager asked if I enjoyed meal, I explained that it was all luke warm and he offered to have fresh brought over. Good service

Half empty yet make you virtually queue likely to prompt people to pay for access even with Priority Pass. Attempted to pre book days back and didn’t work. Ridiculous

We arrived at the Escape Lounge at Bristol Airport around 5pm, hoping for a relaxed start to our journey. Unfortunately, from the moment we stepped through the door, the experience was anything but relaxing. The staff were unprofessional and made us feel uncomfortable from the outset. They seemed flustered about the lounge closing at 7pm, despite us pointing out that it was advertised to close at 7:30pm. They insisted that food and drink service stopped at 7pm, which we were fine with, but the atmosphere felt rushed and dismissive from the start. The lounge itself was dirty. The carpets were absolutely filthy, heavily stained and clearly not maintained. None of the TVs were working, all displaying default brand screensavers, which only added to the sense of neglect. At the bar, the service was appalling. The staff member serving us didn’t even acknowledge our presence, let alone our thanks. She got our drinks wrong, and although they were corrected when we pointed it out, there was no apology or recognition of the mistake. Instead, she was slamming the glasses down on the side... I'm surprised the glasses didn't smash. The staff, generally, looked miserable, uniforms were unironed and creased, and they moved around the lounge like they didn’t want to be there. We even overhead the bar lady complaining loudly that she was tired. At one point, I accidentally blocked a staff member who was waiting to get into the pastry section. When I noticed him and moved aside with an apology, he simply glared and pushed past without a word. By 6:30pm, well before the stated cut-off, they had already begun packing up the food, meaning we couldn’t get anything after that point. And had the privilege of them loundly clearing up, obviously to make the point to all the guest that they wanted to close and for everyone to leave. The bar was closed promptly at 7pm with no last call or warning. It’s frustrating to read the lounge’s promotional material, talking about the little touches and attention to detail and memorable experiences. On this occasion, it was memorable, but for all the wrong reasons. This visit fell far short of expectations and was a stark contrast to what they are selling. I sincerely hope improvements are made, as this was a truly disappointing way to begin our travels.

Had a great experience specially with Raul’s sense of humour today while waiting for our flight. Food could be improved with more choice.

Travelled as a group of 10, 6 adults, 1 child and 3 infants. Booking was very difficult as despite phoning and emailing several times, i was not able to book as a group, and was advised to make 2 bookings. Was told they would pass the message on about the 3 infants as there is no way to book them on (only kids 3+) but this did not happen, so the poor lounge staff had to rejig the seating to accommodate us (which on previous trips they have refused to, but today they were fantastic and did it without us asking). The website needs to be updated to make the customer journey easier when travelling with infants, as it shouldn’t be that difficult - it’s also completely unfair on the staff to not been made aware, especially when I went to such effort to contact. Lunch food was delicious, a better offering than breakfast (switch over is at 12pm). Raul in particular was incredibly attentive, bringing colouring for the children and making sure we never had a dirty plate left on the table. He is a real delight and a credit to the lounge! Thank you very much Raul! The manager was fantastic too for accommodating us.

We had tried to book beforehand but had been told that it was full. It was great to see the fact that we could join a virtual queue and be called back within 15 minutes. The service and the attentive staff were all incredible and added to the amazing journey of which we had ahead.

The staff work tirelessly. The lounge was quiet when we went and the staff continued to clean and serve and check on us. Top service from all.

Did not realise it was best to book in advance as it was extremely busy. But Dan and his colleague were brilliant in allowing my wife and I to use the lounge at short notice. Both were extremely friendly and accommodating. A Big thankyou to both members of your staff, always a pleasure to use this lounge👍👍

We asked for Gluten Free food for my wife, to be told that the menu had changed and the offering was now pies that are not gluten free. Vegetable Tagine was on offer with mash, but had run out of mash. Also no rice was available. All that was available was gluten free bread with no filling a brownie and an almond slice. Very poor, especially when it is a dietary need rather than a choice like Vegan or. Vegetarian. Your comments or excuses will be most welcome.

Had a great experience at the Escape Lounge in Bristol Airport. The atmosphere was calm and comfortable, making it a perfect spot to relax before a flight. The food selection was good, with plenty of fresh options, and the service was excellent. A special mention to Raul, who went above and beyond to make sure everything was just right. His friendly and attentive approach really stood out and made the visit even more enjoyable. The only downside was the limited cocktail selection—just one option felt a little underwhelming compared to other lounges. A bit more variety in that area would make a big difference. Overall, though, it’s a great place to unwind, and the staff make it even better. Would definitely recommend!

First time at the escape lounge Bristol, we certainly will be using this fantastic lounge again. Easy to book online… reserved seating, staff are so polite, food great and drinks perfect… no queues… Again a big thank you to the staff 👍🏻 a shout out to Alan too 👍🏻

Lounge was full when we arrived, so had to go on the virtual waiting list which became more complicated due to the lounge reception computer being down- but the two ladies at the front desk did a amazing job of managing the situation with a lot of customers and no computers - fortunately we were able to go into the lounge with an hour to spare before our flight and again that’s down to the front desk staff

Today was our first experience at the lounge and we were greeted by Michelle who was super friendly. Michelle took the time to show us around pointing out the facilities and where everything was. The food was delicious and all the staff really friendly but Michelle definitely made a fabulous impression; helping and greeting all the guests making a brilliant environment and for this reason we will definitely be returning on our next trip!

Turned up with QR codes and booking confirmation via Trip.com to find that the Lounge’s system was down and no way to scan the code so refused entry. Can understand the assistants dilemma saying it’s not her fault the system was down but likewise not ours either. Shocking to say it’s at a small airport like Bristol and not a major one

We found Bristol airport lounge to be a welcoming and relaxing experience due, in large part, to Michelle and Max who looked after us brilliantly. It started our holiday just as we wished. We’ll definitely be booking in for future trips!

Very disappointed as I was told that out of season I could just turn up and show the barcode to enter ( this was not by the airport lounge itself but aspire) I was a single flier and told the lounge was full and to place my name on the waiting list. Admittedly it was pretty full when I got there but I witnessed lots of people coming out and not a lot going in. The manager who was very pleasant and apologetic told me he would squeeze me in once some people started leaving. Never happened and I was never called. Obviously now I know that the airport lounge is way too small for the demand and is waiting in a new lounge to be built, I will pre book in future.

Andy was very helpful! Andy helped us all the way through our visit and we will definitely be back.

Been coming here for a few years now as I am a priority pass holder and I usually have a great experience. However today the balding man at the reception desk was extremely dismissive and unhelpful. I totally can understand that it’s full or busy but you don’t have to make people feel unwelcome. I hope he can find happiness !

It was full but the manager was very kind to us and showed me how to book it with priority pass in the future. Went on the qr waiting list and got in for a precious 15 minutes to get some food before gate time. Very decent service and thank you for being patient. Once inside it's great, as always.

Rude abrupt staff particularly. The hostess booking us in And the waitress Kim who questioned us several times about our reservation demanding our name and whether we changed the time on the reservation card. It was pretty unpleasant and our relaxing start to our break was ruined.

Was such a pleasure to use the escape lounge. This is the first time we have used the lounge and we will be using it every time we fly. The staff were amazing. Polite, helpful and just really nice. Nice when it's not too busy. Pri at check in was great helping us to pre book for May and is a great asset to the team. Bar lady also very polite. The facilities need a bit of refurb and the food is missing a lot of meat other than beef stew but tasty. See you in may escape 😉

Fabulous hot food for breakfast and lovely choice for dinner too, drinks plentiful and a totally relaxing lounge with amazing serving staff. Have traveled the world and used business class lounges too, this one definitely is not one to miss. Thank you staff for a lovely chill before our flight.
