Errol's Hot Pizza in Glasgow City

Easily the best Margherita I've ever had. Finally visited Errol's for the first time last night after wanting to go for about 5 years - no idea how or why it's taken that long. Criminal. Thankfully, my expectations were not only met but exceeded. Lovely intimate place, eclectic soundtrack (and nostalgic, a Scooter song I haven't heard since I was about 14 came on while we were there), low lighting and friendly staff. Service was great and the pizza was so good I felt like I was transported to another dimension. Prices reflect the sheer size of the pies and are worth every penny. Itching to go back now to start working my way through the rest of the menu.

Best pizza so far in Glasgow. Avoid Paesano, Civerinos and and all. Light, tasty, crunchy, quality pizza just from Errol's. Highly recommended

This is my partner and mine’s favourite place to eat in Glasgow. I’ve visited here for my birthday and anniversary and it’s been great each time. Went last night and the meal was just so so good, staff are really sound! I personally love the interior and the fact that you can BYOB! A very good chill vibe with fab music. That burratta has done things to my soul that no one could ever achieve. Love u Errol’s xxxx

Lived in Glasgow for a while but it took a friend visiting to recommend this place. I have been sleeping on what is my favourite pizza in Scotland. Thin, crisp base with delicious toppings. The perfect pizzas, no joke. Only a small space so be sure to reserve a table for you byob pizza experience. I'll be back v soon.

We were really excited to try this place, but unfortunately, our expectations were quickly dashed. The concept of the shop was unclear and felt like it was started by someone or a group with no hospitality experience. You're required to bring your own bottle, as they only serve pizza and no drinks. There was no table service; instead, the waiters leaned over the main bar to talk to us, which seemed unprofessional. The atmosphere was horrible, and the staff were extremely rude. Don’t think I seen one smile off of any of them. However, made an effort with customers they seemed to have a personal relationship with. I've never been in and out of a restaurant so quickly in my life. The food wasn't worth the hype either; I could certainly cook better with the pizza oven at home. I'd give it a miss – there are much better pizza restaurants around Glasgow that would accommodate you much better.

We had a very nice evening here, a fantastic atmosphere and amazing pizza!!! The staff is so friendly too. We'll surely be back.

Absolutely banging pizzas, staff are always really friendly, great tunes and general vibe. You can’t book so just make sure you’re not starving before you go - you will very likely have a wait but they’ll take your number and call you so you can go to a pub for a drink first. Ticked this wee gem off my list recently and was not disappointed. The setting is different to any other place I’d been to and I have to say, I enjoyed it. Very friendly staff, quick service (I was lucky to secure a walk in space) and delicious pizza! This is not the Neapolitan pizza I’m used to and it was actually a refreshing change. Super thin, crispy base, minimal cheese and tomato sauce that left a lasagna like taste. Really loved it.

Had a pizza here. Had to turn up then come back half an hour later for a table. Got seated. Had a Margherita pizza. The charred base of the pizza is rustic and delicious. The tomato sauce base is to die for.

Honestly the best pizza in Glasgow. I have been here quite a few times and nothing in the area even comes close for the value, the atmosphere and the food let alone the pizza.

I decided at 7:30pm tonight that I was in the mood for a Pizza so checked the reservations online and booked Errol's for 9pm. I was alone so was given the choice of sitting at a table or at the small bar. Bar please. Best choice ever, It usually makes for the best experience and tonight did not disappoint. Jacob and Chelsea were both welcoming and friendly. Hands down the best pizza in town. I have been looking for this pizza for many years. I even thought about opening my own place just to show people how pizza should be made. I no longer have to. Errol's smashes it.

We decided to pop in without realising that we should’ve gotten a reservation, however we were still accommodated which was great. The food was great. Definitely one of the top pizzas I’ve had in a while, the burrata was great too :) the service was slightly slow and the restaurant was quite small so I would recommend a reservation for a good seat but is a good meal!

Delicious pizza, really decent size. The Caesar dip is a must! The staff are very friendly too. The music was a bit too loud gor me personally, but the vibe inside is cool.

Extremely rude staff - wanted to go to Errol’s for a while we went and when walking in we were told no takeaways because they are too busy off the rudest waiter with the biggest attitude problem. Basically we’re told “we don’t do take away when it’s busy like this yeah it’s too busy we don’t do take away when it’s like this” as if we’re meant to know this when it’s not advertised anywhere. Although there was probably about 6 bodies in the shop. You’d think they’d make this apparent on their instagram so customers aren’t wasting time travelling and being spoke to like dirt by staff. Definitely won’t be going back to try it.

Without a doubt the best pizza I have ever had in my life. Lovely chilled service and BYOB. The salad is a must order. The pizza sauce is world class 10/10 thank you CHEF

Very stressful atmosphere and extremely rude staff, will never go back. There weren't many vegetarian options that evening so we decided to come back another day. When we explained this and apologised, we were met with a very passive-aggressive display that was frankly quite embarrassing.

Horrible staff, good pizza — not worth the experience. As an italian, I have to admit they have good ingredients but they are really rude and entitled people and would never want to support their business. Pizza is good but definitely overrated and very VERY overpriced.

For me, this is Glasgow’s best pizza - by a distance - and I would argue it’s probably Scotland’s best, too. It’s a really small, but very popular place so to avoid any walk-in related disappointment, I’d recommend booking a table in advance. Prices are entirely reasonable for the quality and pizza size. The staff are great. Can’t recommend Errol’s enough.

Loved it! Such a unique vibe, the staff were 10/10 especially the guy at the bar, fab banter. Would definitely recommend for a chilled vibes, dyno scran and brilliant staff. Will definitely be back!

The pizza is ridiculously good and some of the best I have ever had, and the burrata was perfect too with so many flavours that work so well together on one plate. Service was impeccable and the atmosphere is lovely, with loads of fun wee decorations in a cosy well-lit restaurant. I will definitely be back.

Huge shout outs to Aileen & Jacob. Why can't people like them be everywhere? (spoilers - because it's rare) I had an unexpected early finish on a Friday at my own place of work, and wandered by awkwardly. It was busy inside, and I feared that seating one lonely, middle-aged person would be a burden to the business, but they made me feel like I had strolled off from a red carpet. Wonderful food, tasting like your earliest memories of pizza - when it first blew your mind - and just a joyful, relaxing experience. They make it feel effortless, but effortless service takes effort. Stunning.

Outstanding in every way. Thin New York style pizza cooked to perfection with amazing flavours (the Errol is a must). The sides also sublime, the eclectic tunes a joy and the staff so friendly and engaging. Get in, get your name down, head for a beer or two and they’ll call when your table is ready. Superb.(and byob)

If you love NY style pizza then you'll love Errol's. Quirky place, and only 1 pizza oven as I write this so if you're ordering more than 2 pizzas then there will be a wait between pies. Often some good sides on offer, reasonably priced and it's BYOB (£2.50 corkage per person). Lovely people running the place and has a good vibe. Unique place and I would personally recommend the margarita which is unbelievably tasty (pictured on left).

Absolutely amazing pizza. This tiny restaurant has the most delicious pizza, the best I've had in Glasgow. Prices are reasonable for what you get too. We got the Burrata which was also brilliant. They don't take bookings and don't have many tables, but the staff do their best to accommodate and the service was brilliant throughout. Would highly recommend a visit.

A Great little pizza place. It is BYOB. Staff serv ice is friendly and the atmosphere is relax canteen style. Often have to leave your mobile number and return for a table but it is worth a wait best pizza in the Southside. The belljar is a short walk away so a perfect place to wait. Update for 2023 it's as good as ever.

Really cool wee place with tasty pizza. Only a short wait of maybe 15 mins to take away. Pizza was tasty but not quite 5/5 and toppings could be slightly higher quality. Also could offer gluten free. Very cool interior and nice staff.

Best pizza ever! I've had the white and magherita pizzas and both were delicious. Plus the sides are amazing, the burratta in particular was delicious. Be prepared for a wee wait as it's a small place, but it's so worth it. Atmosphere is awesome and the staff are grand - such a fab spot!

Lovely place with great food, definetally phone up and ask for a table when it opens, its the best way to get the tasty tasty pizza. I sat at the bar and charter to Jacob, very nice guy who works there, made my dining experiance fun. Lots of stories.

this place is worth the raving. they are the most elegant and hip service owners who stick to their ideas & balance the weight of the many they must serve. the sauce is different, crispy tops, and chopped herbs. lovely time to sit and chat and eat burrata. grateful for you errols!

The pizza was great but one of the staff didn't make the place feel welcoming, they had a very unusual energy about them. It's a shame as the food would've been nice to have had again.

This has to be one of the worst places I’ve ever eaten in. Entitled, arrogant staff who think being rude to the paying customers who keep them afloat is somehow cool. The basics of running a business appear to have passed them by. It really doesn’t matter that the pizzas are good, if the atmosphere makes consumers uncomfortable then they won’t return. You’re not rock stars or heart surgeons, you make the Italian version of cheese on toast. Get over yourselves.

Best pizza in Glasgow, without a doubt. Eating here does require more effort than most pizza places - plan to go here before you’re already too hungry, it could be a while - check instagram to make sure their dough has worked that day or that they’re not on holiday - can’t book so you need to turn up and wait in line to get a number - pick your wine/cans up before you go as it’s byob - you may get telt they’re too busy I admit I sometimes can’t be bothered with all that but on the rare occasions I get an Errol’s, I’m glad I did.

The food was bangin'! But baby, they really did not seem to enjoy that we were dining with them! I'm not sure if it's the gate keeping when trying to get a table or the smarmy host but they did not create the atmosphere of somewhere I'd like to eat again. We were a table of 5 which apparently was an issue for them as "pizzas come out in 2s" - a heads up before ordering would have been nice! I'm aware it's a small shop but come on, if you can't serve like a restaurant maybe only do take out??

The main reason I keep going back here is because they are a very easy relaxed restaurant to visit with my toddler. The fact that the food is incredible is a huge bonus. Granted as a parent of a young child I literally never go here in peak hours… but we have never had an issue getting a table for our 5pm two person pizza parties 👍

Really great pizza and massive serving sizes. The atmosphere of the place is cool, with lots of football and classic rock memorabilia. The restaurant is really small and it’s pretty difficult to get a table.

The pizza here is phenomal! Can be tricky to get a table sometimes but well worth the wait. Can't go without mentioning their amazing burrata dish too, always delish! No burrata on the go last time I visited but the meatballs... good lord! Best I've ever had. Love the decor, love the tunes & the staff are fab too. Don't actually know why I'm spreading the word, only making it harder for myself to get a table. Damn.

It is one of my fav places in Glasgow. They are always so welcoming and kind. All their pizzas are amazing (classics) and the service is really quickly for their quality. However, it is a really small place so It is better to go on week days because is less busy.

Pizza- wonderful napoli- style, large, crispy. Staff- Great. Booking system- odd.....slightly confusing. But we managed to get in!

Best pizza in Glasgow, hands down. Need to book a slot on a Tuesday at 8pm but it's not hard if you're on the ball. Really smooth collection system, no hanging about and very covid safe. Also the woman at the door is the nicest and I love her!

That is indescribably good pizza. I had the salami, spicy too a nice subtle amount of juicy-ness on the top. Crispy base with a fine crunch and thin moist bubbly layer on top. Delicious. Side order was a Burrata, not had that one before. Yum.

As an avid pizza lover, I wanted to see what all the fuss was about and got a takeaway today after booking a slot on Tuesday. The pizza was nice, thin and crispy with good toppings, overall though felt it was really pricey for two pizzas and I prefer a sour dough base. Definitely recommend trying it however there are better pizzas in Glasgow.

First time here tonight. Got the salami and anchovy pizza between 2 of us. Couldn't fault them. Pizzas are huge, super thin and still really crispy. Music is awesome too. And great service

Errol's is my favourite pizza place in Glasgow without a doubt. The restaurant itself is pretty small, with an interesting collection of art, scarves and memorabilia on the wall, it only seating about 16 or 20 people at one time, however, if you have to wait I'd highly recommend that you do. The pizzas are thin and crispy with an awesome tasting sauce, all the toppings are delicious and generously dished up. Also Errol's is a BYOB restaurant so if you're wanting an alcoholic drink remember to bring some or buy some at the shop just down the road. Errol's always has great service and more importantly always tastes perfect.

Pizza is very nice and cheap! I like the vibe and decoration in here. My only complaint is that it's too small and not enough seats as its often full. But I guess that means it's good!

What's great about this place is the imaginative football and wrestling memorabilia from the 70s and 80s, great music and cool friendly staff. The fact that they sell decent pizza is an extra bonus.

Enjoyable experience for four, fresh and tasty in rustic charm and character with quaint waiting list where you leave your phone number and they will call when table available.

Excellent pizza, friendly staff and quirky place. BYOB was nice with cheap corkage. We had the burrata with fig and walnut special to start, which was light and tasty. The sausage pizza was brilliant and the portions massive, but we were encouraged by the waiter to take our leftovers home and it was just as tasty the following day! A welcome addition to the local area.
