Ephesus Mediterranean Grill & Bar in Sevenoaks

As my husband turned 60 at the beginning of the month we decided to celebrate with 30 family members. Our obvious choice was Ephesus’s due to their location and always great standard of food. They went above and beyond our expectations!! The food was not only superb and plentiful but it was the service given by all staff involved. I can’t rate this highly enough and would 100% recommend

We had Sunday lunch here and the food was absolutely gorgeous. We ordered a range of dishes, and the staff were attentive and on hand for any special requests. The presentation of the dishes was exquisite (see picture) Our table was beside the window and the sunlight filtering through just added to the whole Mediterranean experience!

I really like the drinks, the place looks really nice, I had a lovely lady as my waitress. BUT the chicken burger wasn’t my type of food it was very chewing and it’s more of a pricy restaurant. Most my family loved there food maybe it’s just the chicken burger.

Came for a 50th birthday party, the staff were wonderful and attentive a the food was great, we had a lovely time. Would recommend.

Very friendly service. We received a wrong delivery order by third party, but the restaurant insisted we get a refund and sent us a new order free of charge. They refused to take the payment. Delicious food.

Ordered a family takeaway from Ephesus on Saturday evening. Fancied something other than an Indian/Chinese takeaway. Extremely glad I did so! Delivery was very prompt and food was incredible! Portion sizes and food quality were both great and prices were also reasonable. I would definitely order again- very impressed!

Vibrant atmosphere and great tasting food. New food choices and specials were delicious. Juicy lamb and grill seared pineapple with a choice of either stuffed apple or pears with cinnamon for deserts. Even on a Saturday night the meal wasn’t rushed, the staff attentive and a thoroughly wonderful evening.

Our last visit to the Ephesus a few months ago was excellent and on the strength of that we went again today. However, I have to say that I personally was very disappointed. Our starters - garlic mushrooms (x2) and tomato soup were excellent, as was the accompanying bread and olives. The house red wine was very good too. My disappointment centred around two things - the slowness of service with production of the main course and my personal choice of meal. The service generally was very polite and friendly, nothing seemed too much trouble, and I was even given a glass of wine on the house since the hostess overheard that it was my birthday. However, my meal - lamb casserole was very poor. not only were the vegetables not very tasty but the small helping had only a couple of very small pieces of lamb. In fairness I have to say that the three others with me were satisfied with their meals. If the service had been quicker I would have had a dessert, but we overran time.

Great place for a fun night with excellent good value cocktails and great food.Our waiter was new and made a few mistakes but as soon as the manager became aware he soon put things right and made sure that we all had an excellent night.I think this restaurant is a great place to come for a celebration and good cocktails, as long as you are not in a rush and can relax and enjoy the night then you will have a great time.

We visited this restaurant on a busy Saturday night. The staff were friendly, the food was great We had selection of mezzes and l had seabass dream and my husband had meat mussakkah which l tasted and it was absolutely delicious! The seabass dream’s sauce perfectly completed the fish. We will definitely be going back to Ephesus and now it is our favourite restaurant in Sevenoaks. Chiko the owner was very pertinent and made sure everything was ok. All though it was packed he found time to attend the tables to see if everyone was happy which took my attention. It is a real gem in Sevenoaks and we were pleased we went there.

We went to Ephesus expecting good things. Hot meze for two was average. Hardly any flavour. Whitebait very oily and Calamari tasteless. For mains one mixed grill which was great. Wife had Moussaka, very bland. Watery at £14.25 very poor. Shortage of staff was a clear problem as many covers were too much. Drinks also forgotten and then offered when bill arrived. Won’t be back.

Just had dinner here. Food amazing. Great value for money. Gluten free choices unusually great. Nothing too much trouble. Good service even though short staffed. Friendly and great place for food. Highly recommend!!

We were a family of 5 and we chose this restaurant for a belated birthday celebration.

Just visited with my husband for his bday, had a lovely range of different hot mezzes, all of them incredible, fresh and great flavours! Bourek was our favourite together with calf's livers. For mains, we shared a mixed grill which was plenty after all those starters. Our waitress was Nill, she was so lovely and friendly, very attentive (even gave us a dessert with a candle and sang along which was so thoughtful), while the manager also checked on us frequently, which was a nice touch. We felt very much looked after. Thank you so much for the lovely evening!

We met up here as a place that was equidistant between our homes, and I'm sure we'll do so again. Quite traditional, standard fare, but then we did take advantage of the great-value lunch menu - next time we go I think I'll try something more unusual from the a la carte menu.

Had an outstanding meal as always, everything was cooked to absolute perfection as it always is from the chief’s. we where very well looked after by the members of staff. We didn’t have any problems at all and I would highly recommend this restaurant because it serves food which is out of this world and the members of staff are fantastic. Also the happy hour is amazing (2 for 1 on cocktails). Couldn’t ask for anything more from an outstanding restaurant

My husband and I came here for a birthday meal and, boy, was it tasty. We had the meat meze - everything tasted so fresh and cooked to perfection. The only reason I'm giving 4* instead of 5* is that the wine was not as good as I was hoping for based on its price. We'll definitely be coming again though.

We visited in December and booked a table for a late dinner (8.45pm). However the people from the previous sitting wouldn’t leave the table as they were clearly enjoying the atmosphere, the dancing, the drinks etc. This might have led me to give a lower rating usually but the staff allowed the 3 of us to eat at the bar, kept us in drinks and kept us chatting and upbeat. The food was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed the evening despite the table issue. My recommendation would be to book an earlier table to avoid that sort of thing happening to you.

Terrible. Slow service, below average, unauthentic food, lacking in all areas. Avoid at all costs. Visit Hattusa, 300m down the road for a fantastic evening.

Excellent evening, food was better than expected. Service fantastic, ambience just right. The owner was very charming and obviously very passionate and proud of his restaurant, rightly so.

We have been to Ephesus Sevenoaks quite a few times probably going every six to eight weeks. Called in here recently for a Sunday lunch when it was packed but they fitted us in anyway. We normally book but on this day we had driven several hundred miles in the morning and did not boom in case we couldn’t arrive in time.

Would higly recommend this gem of a restaurant, we ordered from their set Christmas Menu and the food was freshly cooked to order, served promptly with great service - a busy and vibrant atmosphere and great value for money, will return in the New Year.

My family took me to the restaurant as I love Turkish food. The meal was very tasty and well presented. Staff were happy and polite with very good service. Gave me a free drink for my Birthday which was very thoughtful. I recommend this restaurant for a family meal as they were excellent about an allergy and checked everything.

The food was ok, I was expecting a bit better on quality and price side. A bit overpriced overall. Nice and quiet atmosphere.

We chose Ephesus for our traditional family pre-Xmas celebration based on the warm welcome and fantastic food we have enjoyed there previously. We were not disappointed. We are instantly recognised by the friendly owner and his ever smiling sister and are treated like family friends which along with the superb range of cocktails helps you instantly relax. First time we have had time to have a full 3 course meal and all 3 courses were fresh, tasty and filling. We like trying new things and got good advice as to some of the Turkish dishes with which were not familiar. Ephesus always has a warm, friendly, relaxed vibe with everyone having fun, joking with the staff and generally enjoying themselves. Exactly what an evening out should be in my book. Can't wait to go back in the New Year.

Booked lunch for 20 to celebrate my Mums 90th birthday. It was the perfect venue. Very relaxed atmosphere. We all had the set lunch which gave everyone ample choice. The food and service was spot on. Our thanks goes to everyone at Ephesus for a lovely celebratory afternoon.

This amazing Mediterranean restaurant is one amazing place to go for both lunch and dinner. The food is always so fresh to the homemade lamb Doner , chicken Shish, to the seafood lobster, king prawns and calamari (you can still taste the sea)! I love how the staff put there heart and soul into every dish even the cocktails are all amazingly prepared. Me and my husband love this restaurant and we are always treated so well by the owner and his staff :)! This experience is one not to miss out on !!! Happy happy customer :) !

I have dined at Ephesus three times now and every time the service and food has been outstanding. The Owner and Staff are super friendly and it a point to make our dining experience so enjoyable and memorable. Very good food and a good choice. I went with 7 other people who also thought is was good and as we were leaving I was asked Were we celebrating something I said my Birthday so I was given me a free drink.(I wasn't driving)

Came here for the first time with friends last night. Well all I can say is it's was absolutely brilliant. Great starters, ( sardines) mains( lamb shank) and a traditional Turkish rice pudding . It was all gorgeous. Clean,very friendly service, a nice place too be. We will definitely be back for seconds. Thank ps to all concerned it was lovely. See you all again soon I hope

I have been in Ephesus on few occassions, food is delicious, well prepared and presented. Staff is very friendly!

Mediterranean grilled food is becoming hugely popular, extremely fashionable. It and supposedly a healthier option than standard convenience foods. Ephesus stands out though and having eaten here on numerous occasions, we can’t praise the food, staff and service enough.

Quick Lunch. The staff are very hospitable and pleasant . We enjoyed our lunch. The food is well cooked . We will go there again. Very reasonably priced

Long overdue return to Ephesus, this time for a cheeky post theatre supper, made us resolve to go more regularly. Despite only lunching there once before, not long after it opened, we were recognised by the owner from our previous visit (we did chat to him at length given we were so impressed with the food and ambience last time) and were warmly greeted and royally treated like family, which was very welcome on a cold, dark and wet Sunday evening. Food was as delicious as last time, fresh and beautifully presented with grace and a genuine warmth by the owner and his sister. Cocktails were colourful and tasty. Whole experience makes you want to settle in, relax and stay for ages. Can't wait to go back.

We decided to pop out for an impromptu bite to eat on Saturday evening. We hadn't booked but a table for two was found for us. Service was great and the food was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will definitely be returning.

Paid an impromptu visit to Ephesus yesterday after a matinee film. We shared a cold Meze platter which was delicious. Then we had the Vegetarian Moussaka and the Vegetarian Islim Kebab. Both dishes were very tasty and the staff friendly and the service very efficient. We will definitely come back.

Manager and waitress both always go above and beyond, which in our most recent visit included a surprise pudding with candle for my baby celebrating his first birthday. They are amazing with kids and he always loves the food, as do we. Definitely recommend!

It was my first time visiting this restaurant. I have to say I was blown away by the professionalism, friendliness of the staff who work there. Was a busy Saturday night but our food came promptly and was delicious. Everyone we came in contact with on Saturday night couldn’t have done enough for us. It made the whole experience thoroughly enjoyable and memorable. I had such a good time I will be returning to celebrate my Birthday. I would recommend anybody who enjoys delicious grilled meat, home made yummy taramasalata to visit.

First time at this restaurant. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was generally very good, my only criticism was the amount of yoghurt which covered my main course (too much). However, my partner”s main course was great. The baklava was the best I’ve ever tasted. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

We were attracted to this restaurant based on the positive Tripadvisor reviews and we were not disappointed. Friendly and efficient staff, and very tasty food. Our daughters had the hot meze to share as a starter and I had the calves liver. All beautifully cooked and presented. For mains two of our group had the vegetarian meals, one had lamb cutlets and I had a lamb dish. Again, all very well cooked and presented. Would happily return to this restaurant to explore the rest of the menu.

Lunch for 2 today so thought we'd try here. We love this type of cuisine and weren't disappointed. Both our starters and main courses were very good. The staff were very friendly and helpful especially when slightly changing the menu. You can park at thier car park behind the restaurant too. Very clean with well maintained decor, will definitely be back

Called in on a Wednesday evening and was presently surprised with how busy it was. However, after eating here again, I understand why. The food was freshly cooked, staff were friendly and happy to discuss the menu. We shared 8 tapas which was plenty for 2. Next time I go I'd have just one or two tapas and then a main, as everyone that went passed me looked delicious and I won't be driving so I can try the cocktails.

Had my daughters 17th Birthday celebrations so we decided to order takeaway food from here. The selection of Meat, Fish and Vegetarian main courses were off the charts, it all came with freshly cooked Turkish rice, Breads and various Hummus, chilli sauces and gorgeous salads. All freshly prepared and packed beautifully. My family enjoyed all the flavours. Highly recommended place for takeaway and a large gathering. The owner kindly advised us what were the best options. Superb. Thank you so much. Will be back soon.

Last minute visit! We were seated at a really comfortable table, sometimes at restaurants you can feel a bit squashed.

Had a lovely evening here with my besties! The bar staff, waitress and owner were really welcoming, great atmosphere, and the aubergine lamb dome was lambtastico! Highly recommended!!

As a group of 5 we decided to order two veggy and two fish mezzes. There was more than enough food for us - in fact we were so full we couldn't manage dessert. Food was great quality as well as generous proportions. They brought out a delicious sea bass seared nice but still very moist inside plus a whole salmon steak. Plus some lovely salads. We asked for extra bread which they didn't charge us for. Service was good and staff willingly boxed up some leftovers to take home.

Firstly the service is good polite and friendly. We had the mix platter for starters which was ok the calamari here is not to the high standards we have had in other restaurants. Our mains were ok, mix grill and lamb chops. Drinks are expensive and for the value we have paid £88 for two courses I expect higher standards of food also the inside of the restaurant is standard could do with some more decorations on the walls more pictures etc, with all the good review our expectations were high however we have had better food and better value at other Mediterranean restaurants. Sadly we will not be back.

After a long hard week we retired to Ephesus for a meal with friends and what a fine time we had. The food was well presented and all very excellent, the service was attentive and efficient and it all made for a very pleasant and enjoyable evening.

We went in for a late lunch just on the off chance as passing by and were so glad we did.

The whole evening from start to finish was spectacular. The warm welcome, the service not to mention the fabulously delicious freshly cooked food. Nothing was too much trouble. Absolutely superb.

This is a fabulous restaurant. Lovely friendly staff, great welcome. Excellent selection of drinks. Food was delicious and very well presented. The lamb is so soft and tender. Couldn't fault a thing. The decor is lovely and a great atmosphere.

We visited with friends and had purchased a Groupon voucher which turned out to be a little confusing as to what was on offer so decided to go from the regular menu. The food was freshly cooked and authentic Turkish cuisine and nicely presented. The owners are very friendly and the service is very good and we were not rushed. Although not necessary we were given an additional complimentary drink because of the earlier confusion. We shall definitely return to try some of the other dishes.

We came here as a family to celebrate Mother's Day & a family Birthday. There was a very nice atmosphere. There is plenty of choice on the menu. We opted for the meze & mixed grill which was delicious. The Turkish wine was very good. The service was friendly & efficient. I can't wait to go back.

Initially we visited on Valentine's day when we spent a lovely evening with very good food and we knew that we would be back. This time it was for lunch with our daughter and we had an equally enjoyable time. The atmosphere is very friendly and I will be trying to work my way through the menu over the next few months. This restaurant is a very welcome addition to Sevenoaks dining options.

Absolutely fantastic food and drinks. Chicken was butter soft and the lamb was fantastic. Service was very good and for a family of 5 including wine and cocktails was £150. We ate plenty with large portions. We will definitely be back.

This is my third visit to Ephesus and I am so pleased to see that they continue to provide a variety of fresh, tasty and delicious Mediterranean fare. There are plenty of choices for vegetarians, vegans and those wanting healthy food. Excellent, friendly service and reasonably priced. Strongly recommended.

We had a lovely meal at Ephesus last night. We were a table of 9 and were looked after the whole evening. Great atmosphere, attentive and friendly staff. Would definitely recommend!

We visited Saturday night and had a lovely time. 6 of us went and we had a nice round table. We started with beers and cocktails which were served promptly. Ordered our food and the starters were quick to arrive. There was a slight wait between starters and main course arriving but that wasn't a problem and it was very busy. We filled the time with a nice bottle of Gavi which was perfectly chilled. Everyone enjoyed their food, the Lamb dishes were succulent and tasty. We were all too full for puddings but ordered some baklava anyway, which was also delicious. Finished off with more cocktails and port and were treated to a drink on the house. All in all a lovely evening; cocktails, wine and food all delicious and the staff were all very friendly. Will definitely be visiting again and would very much recommend.

Amazing meal, service, cocktails and music.....couldn’t fault anything. Our waitress was so helpful and friendly and made us feel at home as soon as we arrived. Second to none...highly recommend!

The initial greeting and being led to our table was fine with a pleasant vibe to the place . However that is pretty much where it ended for us on a special occasion. We had to ask for a menu , we had to ask for some drinks and after an hour and half ask where i meal was! within 5 mins it arrived which made me alittle suspicious .my concern was confirmed when one of our party complained the fish on the fish platter was dry. No action was taken until we asked for the meal to be removed from the bill. Then we got their attention, up to this point one assumed we didn't exist . whilst an offer of a drink on the house is fine ( although not taken ) it didn't make up for a really poor show by the restaurant which is very disappointing given we were looking forward to dinning there .Certainly i nor my family can recommend the place based on our experience last night treat everyone with the same level of attention or dont bother .

We have eaten here a couple of times now - once it was very busy and buzzy and on another occasion very quiet. Both times we had a lovely meal - good large portions, friendly efficient service and tasty flavours. We didn't realise that there is parking at the back - this may be useful when the local car parks are busy. Cocktails are also good.
