Salsa fría he pedido era maravilloso. El precio también era muy buena para aquellas porciones enormes y una bebida llegó hasta un £13:00. No te puedes equivocar.

No comer aquí si tienes cualquier sentido!!!!

We sat outside in bustling Broadway Market and had a beautiful meal. Main meals of crisp and tasty moussaka and skewered lamb, with a nice wine. Good friendly service, no rush and lots of happy customers.

Went on Saturday evening, having been enticed in off the street by a seemingly friendly waiter. What a mistake! It was dreadful. We ordered two vegetarian mezze, one other starter dish and two beers. The beers took ages to come. When our mezze came it was meat mezze - which I only realised after taking a bite of chicken. When we raised this with the waiter he did not apologise, just blamed the kitchen. When we tried to ask why our other dish had not arrived we were asked to leave. We did this with great pleasure - having had a free beer. I would never set food in this restaurant again. The people in the fish and chip shop down the road were really friendly and I was much happier to give them my money.

I went here with my boyfriend and his best friend for a late lunch. In terms of looks, the place is very appealing, it has unusual decoration which gives the place a relaxed feel. The staff greeted us nicely and were very polite. For starters, my boyfriend had a traditional Turkish salad, which he enjoyed and I had stuffed vine leaves, speaking from a vegan point of view, this was a decent enough starter for the venue. For the mains, the boys had steaks, but they were disappointed about the way it was cooked, they wanted it medium rare but it was well done, they didn't want to send it back so they just ate it. I had a falafel salad and it was strangely accompanied by rice, not sure if I liked the rice as part of the salad, other than this the meal was okay. The boys enjoy drinking, but only if the alcohol is of good quality, so naturally they got some wine, the waiter recommended a white Turkish wine and the boys loved it. On a Saturday there is the broadway market and the restaurant has outdoor seating so you can enjoy the view of the market or you can skip food and look at the market whilst listening to some nice live music.

My friend and I visited Ephesus for the first and last time on Sunday. Our coffee order took 15 minutes to arrive, the water (after a couple of gentle reminders) three times as long. Shortly afterwards the manager deposited the bill on our table, effectively making us leave after an hour because there were other customers waiting for tables - and yet we were just discussing what we would order for lunch! We were courteous and polite; the waiters were rude and sullen. Terrible service. We are regulars in the area but I would not consider returning.

I have been here a few times. Seeing the previous comments i cannot agree. The staff are great who try their best, wait time is average when you think about the cooking time of meals. If you dont like waiting dont order starters because they do leave gaps in between. Food was more then expected. You cannot expect 5star service, you are getting what you are paying for. I would recommend if you like your tasters and on a tight budget and want to watch outside while sipping on your wine with the faboulous colourful lights hanging down the ceiling go to this place! You will not regret.

Service was prompt, efficient and friendly, the food was fantastic and very fresh.Maybe judging by the previous reviews we got lucky, but both of us commented afterwards how good it was and how reasonable the cost was, the restaurant was quite busy and seemed to have a good mix of people.Cannot really find fault.

Unlike other reviews we didn't have to wait long for the main meal to arrive, in fact they hadn't even cleared away our starter plates before the mains arrived. The food was mediocre, nothing to rave about. The bill was way more than it should have been, if you go check your bill! Once we paid the waitress came back and demanded the service charge and refused to leave our table until we did, to the last penny may I add, which of course you're not legally obliged to pay.

I visited Ephesus for a late lunch recently. There were only 4-5 other tables occupied, so it was not a busy time at all. I ordered from the two courses for £5.95 special lunch menu. The service was ridiculously slow despite there being so few customers. My starter came reasonably quickly but the wait for the main course was interminable. After nearly 40 minutes I complained and ask where my main course was and was told that they had to deal with a large take-out order. However, I didn't see anyone arrive to take away a large order - I think it was simple an excuse that they use. The waiting staff didn't really seem to care at all and this is borne out my comments from other reviewers here. Another irritation was a stuck CD playing the same phrase again and again and again. The food is really nothing great at all - you can get much much better Turkish food in Dalston and with better service also. On this visit I planned to give Ephesus one more try, having been dissatisfied on previous visits. That's it for me now. I am not going back.

It seems like quite a few people had the same experience.. had to wait ages to be served and they weren't busy - just too busy looking around outsideWhen we were served they just seemed like they couldn't be bothered.. to be fair the women were nice but the men were quite rude. The food was ok, bit overcooked. The bruschetta was more like a slice of deep pan pizza hut slice.. Not at all what we were expecting! Someone else on the table next to us was getting really grumpy because he had asked for sauce 3 times and they didn't bring it over - I don't understand how they can forget when there were only half a dozen tables to be served, and 4 people serving! It was a sunny sunday afternoon so it was nice to just sit and people watch - but with average food and pretty poor service, it's not somewhere I will be running back to.

Good food but lengthy waits and lacklustre staff make this a restaurant I will avoid in future. We went for a late dinner last weekend and it started well: our orders were taken quickly and our wine brought out within minutes. I did have to ask whether our water was coming and that was brought out a bit begrudgingly a few minutes later. Then began our wait for the food. The table next to us seemed to be experiencing a similar problem and asked after their food once or twice. The other table ended up leaving after having waited about an hour (we got our food at this point). The food was good and we were starving so we didn’t complain about the wait. However, the other table did and the waiter had the gall to try and argue that they had only been waiting for 20 minutes.

As I mentioned in a previous review, I used to go to this restaurant and liked it. I however went back there on Monday (after a few months) for lunch and it was a totally different experience.I found the place to be quiet for a sunny bank holiday compared to the other restaurants in the same street. Anyway, we were sat inside. Our waiter took our order quickly but was not particularly nice..We ordered drinks, humus to share, a Lamb mince for me and a Rib Eye steak for my friend. We got our drinks and starter pretty quickly. All good so far... Then the wait began... 20min, 30min, 45min.... Although the place is far from busy, it was really hard to get the attention of the waiters. When I finally did and asked him about our mains, I didn't get a reply but just a nod... The mains finally arrived after 55min... HORRORMy Lamb mince is covered by a huge amount of bread.. Once the bread removed, I'm left with 3 tiny pieces of 'meat' completely burnt.. I straight away told the waiter who apologised. I did try it as I was hungry but it was horribly spicy and burnt. Was it a frozen merguez? It was nothing like a Kofte anyway. The salad was horrendous too with a watery dressing.. Uneatable..My friend's Rib-eye steak was no better... Plate full of chips and a tiny so called 'steak' that tasted nothing like beef and smelled funny. We stopped the damage there, didn't eat anything and got up to the bar to talk to the waiter. It seemed like he was not bothered at all by our comments but he did agree to let us go without paying. AWFUL.

I've been there quite often as I live very close. They used to be cheaper when they first opened but I still go as the food is good and so is the service. The difference is not that huge anyway. The waiters are always with a smile on their faces and ready to help you decide on what to have. The decor is nice with all the lights in the ceiling. They have also quite a few tables outside. My only complaint would be: Bring back the Veggie Moussaka!!!

Saturday morning breakfast was scrummy. Full English for him, eggs benedict for me. Turkish coffee and orange juice. Although our dishes were great, I also liked the look of the more exotic breakfast dishes. Service was friendly, not too slow, and the prices reasonable. The only downsize to having breakfast at the start of your visit is that you have no room for any of the tasters at the stalls! The bill comes in a charming little leather box.

I have been today to Ephesus restaurant. I ordered eggs benedict but I have bruschetta instead. I didn't want to complain as I saw the waiters were busy and I thought it was a mistake from my order. The food was delicious. When I was nearly to finish my food another waiter warned me that I was having the wrong dish as they made a mistake. Thinking that he was apologizing for the mistake I told him that it was fine as it was good anyway. But he wasn't apologizing. He was blaming me because I was eating the wrong dish and for this reason they were going to charge me more (the price of what I was eating which was £1.50 more that what i was supposed to pay).Astonished I said it was not my fault but the waiter gave me the wrong dish. His answer was: "It is not my problem. My colleague made a mistake not myself so you will need to pay what you had eaten!"We had literally an argument and by the end I had to pay more!Great food, but shocking service!

Ate here as everything else in the area was full, so took a chance. What a pleasant surprise, you can choose from a set menu with lots of choices (the whole menu if I remember) - and this works out cheaper than buying individually. We opted for the 2 course set menu at £10.99 and one extra starter. Nothing seemed too much trouble for them and it was obvious lots of people were regulars and the staff were chatty and in good spirit even at the end of a hot busy day. Food was plentiful and fresh what more could you want. Decor - lovely turkish style hanging lamps all over the ceiling, wooden chairs a little low but nevertheless comfortable. I think the big question is - will we go back - a big YES.
