Went there on a Sunday for a normal meal and was told we could only have the Sunday buffet menu and standard menu bookings start at 6 pm. I will suggest that customers should be served according to whatever preference they so desire and not limited. Luckily, we still had a few things to do in the area, so we left and came back at 6 pm. We were seated and served, although I had to ask a member of staff before our orders were taken. Food, to be honest, was reasonably priced and tasted good. The portions were also very good 👍🏽. Cocktails are good, too. The ambience is very nice although music is a bit too loud. Overall, it was not a bad experience, but customer service could do with a bit of improvement.

On my first visit to the restaurant, I ordered assorted meat, yam porridge, and egusi soup as a takeaway. The assorted meat was full of oil, the yam porridge did not have yam and egusi lacked spices. I am so disappointed after traveling over 8 miles to the restaurant. Enish food is below standard.

I went in for a normal meal and I realised it was their buffet day. Special thanks to Adeola and Benny for being welcoming and convincing me to try the buffet. Immediately notified my friends around and will definitely go back.

I had high expectations for this restaurant due to the aesthetics and the high price but all my expectations have been utterly destroyed. The food was cold!!!!!!! The puff puff was a joke…. And the egusi was salty. I couldn’t enjoy any of the flavours due to it being stale. There was one young staff girl with a petite frame who had a short bob wig who came up to my table I didn’t notice and how she addressed me was by saying hello!!?? In a very rude and loud tone which further put me off the food. Oh forget trying to have a convo the music is too loud and they played football on the big tv? Who asked. Won’t let my loved ones eat here.

First time I went to Enish Old Kent road, my food was delayed for more than 1 hour. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and went yesterday. I reminded the waiter that last time my food was late. This time around, my food came on time but it was the wrong order. Instead of Afang with stock fish, the waiter brought fresh fish. After a long wait, they brought Afang with stock fish and meat: I was too weary to complain. I then ordered take away of garnished snail for 28 pounds. When I opened it this afternoon, it was some cheap fish.

We went as a large family birthday. The booking system was atrocious, as they said they hadn’t received our deposit! They had, then we couldn’t use the deposit to pay for our meal. When we arrived, it took ages to seat us. They weren’t friendly. The service was sloppy and without care. The food was decidedly average, the space around the meagre buffet was minimal making it an unpleasant and squashed experience. One of our group had severe allergies and they refused her entry at first, then said she couldn’t eat as there wasn’t anything for her to eat. In the end they gave her the smallest bowl of plain veg with no dressing. They kept saying she was not to eat the buffet, and spent the whole time watching our table like hawks. It was the worst dining experience I have had in this country. Truly awful.

I had heard bad reviews about Enish, but I thought that I would still go because my sister requested to go there for her birthday lunch. It was the biggest waste of money for me. The supermalt and fanta cost £6!!!!!!!!!! I'm not someone who is strapped for money, but the prices in Enish are higher than most Michelin star restaurants. I ordered fish with mild heat because I would be eating it with my 2 year old, needless to say it was not mild at all, the fish was not fresh as it was dry and chewy in some parts and small in comparison to other west African restaurants. Also, because of the pepper in it my daughter had to eat white rice and whatever fried plantain hadn't been touched by the sauce. The ponmo in the mixed meat stew my sister ordered was like water yet the beef was like leather and was served on a small dinner plate which meant it was overflowing on the plate. The worst thing was the salad that was spoilt! I put a bite in my mouth and spat it out. The service is bad, it takes forever to get served, the call button is pointless and the staff are rude and have bad attitudes. The downstairs is shabby, and they have tried to decorate but the crack in the stairs is still a little dangerous and the bathroom is clearly not attended that regularly. I could go on, but overall I'm disappointed because I always want African restaurants to do well to put us on the map of popular cuisines, but we have to be able to complete on the playing field.

I booked this restaurant for a Sunday buffet plus bottomless drinks for my mum’s 64th birthday lunch with 19 of us on the 20th of nov 2022. Price was £35 per adult if pro booked and varying prices for children. The booking process was simple and they corresponded via WhatsApp until We arrived on the day. The service from the welcome, ambience, food and drinks was amazing and very excellent. The staff were so helpful, welcoming and even helped us light my mum’s cake and in thing it to the table whilst we all sang. The restaurant was clean and we spent ages taking Snapchat pictures in the ladies toilet area, which is a selfie corner downstairs in the restaurant. Ever though we traveled more than an hour each way to the restaurant it was worth the effort and time. Thank you Enish staff and management for an awesome experience and we hope to be back soon for another family celebration!

Ordered grilled croaker but was as hard as biker chicken. Transpires that the fish was grilled straight from frozen. Still paid full price and no sentiment of taking anything off the bill. The fried yam with the fish also was not edible. If you go, probably best to stick to the swallow or rice dishes.

My friend and I visited this Enish Branch; her second or third time and my first. We wanted to experience the Enish 'buffet' which is served at weekends. On arrival, we were really impressed by the very beautiful and tasteful decor. It is done to a very excellent standard. Brilliant!!! There was no table available. I told the hostesses their website did not advise that a reservation was required and the hostess said the website does not accept 2 guest reservations anyway. We waited for about 45 minutes before a table became available. The waiting area behind the cordon is very small and we kept avoiding being hit by the door when guests or delivery drivers came in. We tried to take pictures with the photo backdrop, this was also a challenge for the same reasons. Eventually we had to appeal to be allowed to wait beyond the cordon right inside the restaurant because the waste trolley was also being taken out though this same entrance. Besides not being ideal, I frankly found it disgusting. We used the bathroom, there was just one upstairs. It wasn't very clean, no handsoap, handdryers or hand sanitisers. The lock was also tricky. Eventually, we were allocated a table and we settled down. Every single meal we ate was very delicious and well cooked indeed no argument about that. However, for £40?!!! No yam pottage, no moinmoin, no igbo soups/stews, no amala/eba, no ewa aganyin. Only jollof/fried/white rice, peppersoup, gizdodo, plantain, ayamase, efo riro, efo egusi, stewed beef, fried, fish, mixed salad meal, ugandan and Ghanaian dishes. This is certainly NOT value for money. I must also mention that the kitchen staff seemed reluctant or struggled to replenish the plantain and ayamase. Atmosphere: Beautiful, well lit without being too dim or bright. Music volume was okay. Service: Excellent! The hosts and hostesses are extremely professional except for the kitchen host who appeared irritated when we had to remind him a few times we were waiting for plantain and ayamase. Not so good/room for improvement: Toilets as above The staircase between the buffet area and the sitting area is an accident waiting to happen especially for the hosting staff who need to carry used crockery and cutleries. Guests may also trip whilst making their way to or from the buffet area. Perhaps a set of railings in between for safety. Waste should be removed out of sight of customers. Others as above. With some improvements, it could be a really nice experience.

He pedido pescado egusi.

Went in for the set menu. Changed my life. Unreal food. Super rich (and a tiny bit too salty) but left feeling very satisfied. Onglet steak was next level, as was the scallop ravioli, the brioche bread for starters I could have eaten four of them, and the dogs to finish were dreamy. Highly highly recommend. Shout out to the very friendly staff too.. 10/10 Ned ;)
