Me and my partner were very excited about this restaurant considering the reservation time (we booked in March for May. This was as their reservations must be booked at least 1-2 months in advance, and I do not blame them. Situated above the old Television Centre in White City, the 12 seats provide a panoramic view across the city. The decor was simple yet elegant. In terms of service, this was by far the most attentive service we have ever experienced. From the moment we entered, we were welcomed and looked after up until we left the restaurant. I cannot praise the staff more. For the dining experience, Endo and his team made sure the atmosphere was just right, we were transported away from the busy London life and fully immersed with the 22 courses. The ingredient was also fresh- emphasis on fresh, all the pieces of fish tasted great and flavourful. There were also luxury toppings such as caviar and truffles which were also an added bonus, but considering the price, it is expected. I honestly cannot praise this restaurant more and would definitely recommend this to anyone who loves sushi!!

At least five or six times during an exquisitely entertaining and enjoyable evening, we tasted food that made us think we’d died and gone to heaven. So many of the pieces of sushi were explosions of pure joy in our mouths. My husband and I had incredibly high expectations for our visit, yet we both agreed they were not just exceeded but blown away; we were unanimous it was both the best meal/food and dining experience of our lives. Endo’s passion for his homeland, the finest ingredients, and an exceptional, authentic Japanese experience shines through. Attention to detail is exceptional - the care with which Endo sources ingredients and passion for storytelling makes this an experience as well as a meal. The restaurant doesn’t open if Endo isn’t there: you’re guaranteed to get the experience with the master himself. And why does that matter? His mastery of this cuisine is unmatched in London. The flavours, the quality of the fish and ingredients… everything is sublime. We especially enjoyed the tuna “business card” and scallop nigiri but so many courses / bites were exceptional it’s hard to call our favourites without calling out almost the entire menu. With so many outstanding establishments to try in London there are only a handful of restaurants we make an effort to return to return to. Endo is worth every last effort to secure the reservation - it’s an experience and culinary moment you’ll savour for a long time afterward. To our minds it’s hard to understand how this hasn’t been awarded at least a second star (have the inspectors struggled to make a reservation?!) - for us it would sit as a peer alongside any three star establishment. Bravo.

As somebody else said how this only has 1 Michelin star is beyond me. Absolute incredible experience, super intimate setting, fun sushi master and staff and top notch service. Almost feels like you are in someone's living room just eating incredible food Many unique ingredients and stories around the ingredients and how they were sourced and how Endo's journey evolved. Amazing variety of food and a great atmosphere. Loved how you switched to the smaller bar area for the sweets after the main dishes. Endo is a true master and Casper the team just work flawlessly together, excellent in all regards. Food was obviously top notch but loved the "simple" nigiri sushi the most. Heavy on the bill but as expected. Will be back as this is one of the best food experiences you can have in London

Don't be fooled by the one official Michelin star - this is easily a 3-star experience. You are seated - together with other 9 lucky people - around of what I would describe as a stage, where Endo, Casper, and the team make an incredible culinary show. Endo will give in your hand some of the finest sushi you will ever taste. The chef skills and the sushi taste is so amazing that my guest spent the entire night with her mouth open in admiration. This is an experience that I would recommend to every fine dining lover which travels trough London - but you have to be quick, restaurant will be fully booked 30' after the opening of the reservations!

To enter the restaurant you need to enter the lobby of the building and there’s one staff waiting to lead you to the lift. Endo and the team did fantastic job to provide an amazing dining experience, we tasted various ingredients including high quality tuna, oyster, wagyu, lotus root, mushrooms etc, the dessert soufflé is very tasty and unique to end the dinner. I would definitely come again.

Wow wow wow. One of the best dining experiences of my life hands down. Endo and his whole staff, chefs and hosts are note perfect. It’s always impressive to see people who are masters of their art and this is definitely art. One niggle- We did feel that the focus on the guests wasn’t quite equally spread out- some got just a little more engagement than others at the table. However that’s on the absolute margins. Overall the food, the space and the sheer dedication to the craft was extremely impressive and this place deserves all the accolades it can get.

I’ve enjoyed a few counter dining experiences in London, ranging from casual places like Barrafina and Kricket, to the more sophisticated Kitchen Table and Kebab Queen. Endo felt like quite a different experience to the others. Pretty unique I would say. The décor is simple but somehow dramatic, and Endo has a great personality and keeps his diners engaged and entertained throughout the meal. The food was very good – certainly very fresh and high quality sushi – but as is the norm with Omakase (Japanese tasting menus), I was still hungry afterwards, so had to get something else to eat on the way home! The drinks prices are in line with the food, so apart from our prepaid £195 for the food, we managed to rack up another £115 apiece on drinks without much effort. While it is an expensive place and I wouldn’t say the food viewed in isolation blew us away, the combination of still very good food, the décor, service and uniqueness of the experience justify the cost in my opinion, and I would highly recommend it to those looking for a special meal out…

A simply wonderful and faultless dining experience, enjoying master sushi chef Endo Kazutoshi’s creative Japanese tasting menu prepared for 15 diners by him and his small team of kitchen helpers, accompanied by an engaging one running explanation of what was being prepared for us whilst enjoyed the breathtaking views over London and traditional Japanese minimalist decor. This will no doubt be Michelen Star-ed before long so try to go before the cat is well and truly out of the bag. At times it’s pure theatre. I understand the dining menu features more courses than the lunch menu but the latter instead offers daytime visibility over the skyline so do bear that in mind when deciding which you prefer.

Merci Endo

Waiting 30mins in a lobby that resembles student accommodation whilst the restaurant decides when the time is right to come upstairs is not the way this restaurant should be ran. No way to contact the restaurant is crazy and the worst possible start to a meal. They need to fix ASAP.

This is a beautiful serene restaurant. I was lucky to sit in front of Endo who is very personable and funny. The attention to detail and high quality of the produce is evident. Endo is a perfectionist. I enjoyed my omakase and then ordered a few dishes from the a la carte. Everything was delicious. This was a great experience and one I would repeat.

We went expecting a conveyer belt experience (kids like it) and were very disappointed with the lack of it in Yo kitchen. This was the reason we travelled to Yo. We have some nice sushi places locally and the adults generally prefer those venues. Anyway it was a treat for the kids.... So whilst we got over it quickly, we discovered that the menu was pared down and very pricey. £6+ for the gyoza and £8+ for four pieces of maki. The gyoza were much better than those at Yo - these were pan fried and with a beautiful sauce. However, there wasn't really a choice of good sushi (about 5 options). The salmon maki was made with cream cheese. It was all a bit westernised/fusion... So we didn't order any. Kids menu was good value and plentiful. Kids enjoyed it. The food we chose was good, bit I don't think we'll be returning. I'd rather go to a proper sushi house or a better Japanese restaurant. I'd rather have eaten at ITSU.
