This is the best Chinese takeaway in the area. I have used this outlet for many years and never been disappointed. My son now lives in Haworth but if he's over this way he always get his Chinese here to rake home with him. I would definitely recommend Empires 😋

What’s happened we used to get food from you all the time and used to rave about you, after many months of using an amazing Chinese takeaway a few miles away my wife drove by and ordered a set meal for two and the quality has totally dropped, my special chow main was terrible! All the meat was dry and seemed old my wife’sl rice was really dry! Is this new owners??

Excellent Chinese Takeaway food. The food is delicious and fresh. Portion size is great and excellent value. My regular order of sweet and sour crispy chicken with chips or Fried rice is consistently excellent. Fried rice dishes are also very good. Service is great, the lady serving customers is efficient and is polite.

Waited nearly an hour for my takeaway in the shop , tried ringing to place the order for ages but no one answered the phone , so decided to go wish I hadn't, tasted bland far too expensive for what we got , never again .

After a very mediocre Szechwan beef in Moortown I ordered the same from the Empire. What a massive difference this was, very tasty with just the right amount of heat. The prawn crackers were the best I have eaten so we will be ordering again from the Empire

Best Chinese takeaway in the Idle/Thackley area in my opinion. Been very consistent everytime I've ordered. Downside, cash payment only and they aren't on JustEat etc. but would still recommend.

I have never had anything like this before it was disgusting, my partners rice was so stodgy it had never seen fried rice.it all went in the bin I was offered a refund if I took it all back but I couldn't get there to take it back so I wont be back and won't be recommending them to anyone ive only given a one star rating as I couldn't post without picking one

This food experience is one never to be repeated. Ordered sweet and sour chicken balls. They are so tough even the dog is struggling to eat them. Rice is over cooked. Wife's curry sauce is like washing up water. Absolutely disgusted. Unfortunately can't leave minus stars

I have been getting my Chinese takeaway from here for a good 18 years. Even when we moved away from the area. The food is delicious it doesn't have that false chemical taste you sometimes get. I personally judge a Chinese takeaway by its salt n pepper ribs. They come as full ribs not those little ¼ ribs you can sometimes find, they have garlic and fresh chillies all over without a batter or at least any batter isn't a negative. I often get their singchow chow mein which is kinda a Singapore chow mein but the heat doesn't come from a heavy curry powder but instead a lighter chilly powder I believe. The ginger and spring onion is beautifully refreshing, and the chicken cashew comes with an abundance of nuts. Often served by the lovely and friendly kym. Excellent cleanliness and good covid service In place.

Nice food but a little on expensive side compared to others. Only 4 stars because hard to call through orders at busy times at weekends,testament to how popular Empire is. And one other drawback is collection only.

Awful! What are the people thinking who review this place well? Overcooked, dry duck..... Yellow, nasty battered salt and pepper chicken wings, soggy prawn toast and stringy beef in the main. Really disappointed after reading the reviews. Ugh.

Food was bland, called up to complain and all they could say was bring the food back and we will taste it bearing in mind food has been binned due to the awful taste. Waste of money no customer service will never order again. Avoid

Probably the best Chinese takeaway you will ever buy, by a mile.

One of the Best in BD10 however the only thing that lets this place down is the Salt & Peppa chicken pieces are a little hard and occasionally have a funny aftertaste.... Highly recommended though.
