Great food at reasonable prices, with very friendly service, and no background music!(Yay!) Tiramisu to die for! Great veggie option.

Very unpleasant atmosphere, the food was cold and the staff were rude. I was very surprised as the reviews were all good.

It’s unusual to find an Eritrean restaurant but this one is good. The owner or one of her family will enthusiastically talk you through the options and provide all necessary explanations. The fish is particularly tasty and the home made tiramisu to finish is the best we’ve tasted.

We had the vegan platter and the meat platter. The food was all very flavoursome. Great service. A gem of a place.

We've lived in the neighbourhood for years and Emba remains our favourite out of many excellent local restaurants. It's also one of the few Eritrean restaurants in London , run by an incredibly warm and friendly family, who are clearly passionate about the delicious home cooked food they are offering. Recommended!

My friend and I had a mixed vegan platter- this was delicious. The staff were kind and attentive and catered for my dietary requirements (I am coeliac). They put the food in containers so we could take the leftovers away. A real find!

My friends and I had heard excellent things about this little restaurant and it did not disappoint. The food was excellent, there’s a lovely atmosphere and Mak and Alma looked after us brilliantly. Thank you both.

We thought we would try Emba Soira because of the positive reviews on Tripadvisor as we have tried other Eritrean restaurants in the local area. Our waitress was very friendly and hospitable. The service was quick and we received our food a lot quicker than other Eritrean restaurants. I'm not sure if the food was cooked from fresh. However this did not take anything away from the wonderful taste of the meat platter. The injeera was thinner than others we have had, though more was offered for free. The meat platter was a lot smaller also. Myself and my spouse thought we could have finished it by ourselves as we were so hungry. Compared to 2 other restaurants, (will not mention their names) the meat platter was smaller and more expensive. We both had complimentary teas to finish. Overall 4/5 - Because of the size of the platter and price.

The atmosphere and restaurant were very nice and the lady who served us was lovely. We ordered a meat platter for two, and although it tasted really nice, it wasn’t enough when I compare it to other Eritrean restaurants we’ve been to where portions are bigger. I was still hungry after the meal and I’m not a big eater in general. The bread was thinner to what I’m used to and not as tasty. It was an overall good experience but I shall be going back to my usual restaurant where I will feel more satisfied.

The food was great. I was impressed by the way I (vegan) and friend (keto) both loved the food despite wanting completely different meals.

Delicious food and friendly service. Quite quiet as was a Monday night but very relaxing vibe. Will be back for sure.

Decided to try something different for date night. Fantastic decision. Great, authentic food; friendly, family service; and complimentary cardamom tea! One eats with their hands here, (cutlery is offered though), and so is the perfect experience to share with somebody. Absolutely fantastic and definitely deserves local business.

Delicious healthy tasting food, with wonderful service striking the balance between attentive and friendly and repaxed. A warm, family feel.

This place is fantastic and everything a local restaurant should be. We wandered in on a Thursday night, and were immediately greeted by the warm staff and incredible smell of delicious homemade food. They have lots of vegetarian and vegan options, as well as tasty traditional meat stews. We had a mixed meal of Zigni Beef & Hamli which came with some delicious vegetable side dishes too. We were made to feel very welcome, the owner was really helpful and happy to explain the menu. It's clear that they are proud of their cuisine and their culture, which made the experience all the nicer. We'll definitely be back soon!
