Chicken kebab was good along with the service - chips were not nice - not freshly cooked?

Food said it had been delivered but did not arrive until 20 minutes later and was only luke warm!

Good fast food takeaway. They sell fish & chips, kebabs and pizza. Great selection of each. Had the cod and chips with side of curry sauce. All very hot and delicious.

Pizza was cold, the wrap I ordered wasn’t correct missing sauce and salad and the phone wouldn’t call so I couldn’t even sort it out not to mention it took and hour dnd a half to come absolute joke of a takeaway

I’m not one for leaving bad reviews but the food had a litre of grease on it, the cheese on the chips wasn’t remotely melted and was dirt cheap. It was late and customer service was awful, blunt and cold, they didn’t put cheese in the burger which costs extra, £30 spent and almost everything was poorly managed and “cooked”.

Portions getting smaller too greasy yet getting too pricey wouldn't reccomend shame as used a lot

Pizza was lovely as usual, just very disappointed it was 40 minutes late given it was ordered 90 minutes in advance of delivery time and it was a simple order

Ordered a pepperoni pizza and chips. Pizza was top quality, it comes with double pepperoni and double cheese, both the toppings and the base are delicious. The chip's, we'll let's just say if you have the chip's then you'll be back for more. The meal did 2 people and we were stuffed afterwards. Cost just over £14.00 and in my opinion was well worth it.

Use this place all the time for their kebabs... Best in Ely.

Having just moved to this part of Ely, I was not aware of Ely King. We had the Chicken Shish and Hallomi kebabs which were really lovely. The chicken was really soft and plentiful despite being a medium and the same with the Hallomi. The salads were also lovely, lots of red cabbage which I love. Super easy to order on line and quick delivery. I think we've just found a new favourite kebab house for our Friday takeaway. Just make sure you tick everything you want If ordering online or you won't get it even though salad is free of charge, I made that error on our second order.

I've reviewed before, I must say Ely King's Lamb and chicken shish kebab are very good indeed. They deliver for 10 miles around, which is great for us. Having tried the kebabs from vendors around Ely, even chain ones in Sutton, Ely King are the best. Thanks

Possibly one of the worst so called chippys there is, and to top it all off one of there employees is messaging people on Facebook market place trying to scam people, if you can find another chippy I definitely would, I physically cannot give these idiots more than a 1 star

Where do I start? Firstly, my order was wrong and we called the man but he hung up on us saying we were prank callers. 😡😡 I payed 5 great British pounds for a single slice of chocolate cake, that made my daughter explosively poo all up the wall. Atrocious- I will be sending the bill for the cleaners. Next, the sausage was mushy and oily, I’m surprised it didnt float away like the pig lost its spot on Noah’s ark. I’m not even sure that it was a pig, probably some mystery meat from Afghanistan. The chips were wet, and drowning in oil. Health Experts need to shut the place down before America come and raid it for oil. Speaking of, the cost of living crisis is not the right time to charge 20 quid for chips a sausage cake and a bottle of 7 up. Vile. 😡😡😡 NEVER GO TO ELY KING

Paid for 2 gherkins and only got 1. No option to select salad in extras when ordering a wrap so thought it would be as normal. Literally got halloumi in a wrap for £10.50 and nothing else. Absolute joke of a company.

Bland meat. Asked for extra salad. Got no salad. Very poor.

Got all the way home tonight and my chips were missing, lucky i could do with losing some weight.

Called at 5:10pm today for delivery of 2 dinner kebabs with pita and salad! One medium chips and a bottle of Pepsi! Took them an hour and 20 mins for the food to arrive which was all cold (expect for the salad that was warm) they forget my bottle of Pepsi then had to wait another 10 minutes! Never ordering from you again! Disgusting behaviour! Got Mrs who’s pregnant and 4 kids who are all hungry! And waiting for cold food!

I've been a regular customer. But what i got delivered tonight they will not be having my custom again . The chips were like lastweeks heat ups . When phoned and complained they didn't deny it. Just a waste of money.

The place close late and have a large choice from fish to kebab. Food quality 5 on 10. Cash payment only 🤔 why ?. And check your bill before playing !!!

Was recommended so thought we would give them a try. Pizza Ordered for delivery through their own website and Was given an hour delivery slot. Very polite on the phone when i called after thee hour. They confirmed it was already out for delivery. However after a further 25-30 minutes, food finally arrived along with an extra delivery driver 😅 The delivery address is certainly not hard to find! One was lovely mannered, very polite and apologetic. Unfortunately, our food was cold and well..... Tasteless. Overly priced tor what was delivered, very unhappy, I will not be a returning customer.

Ordered for a delivery never turned up. When I phoned the first time I told them my address and they said it’s on the way. After half hour phoned again and this time the address had changed which I checked before I ordered and the person in other end called me rude and told me I was wrong and hung up on me and now we have no food. They didn’t handle this very well and the staff are very very rude.

Food and portion size is going down hill. Delivery time is always way over what they tell you. Regularly have to wait well over an hour.

They got my order wrong!😡😡 they put a can of 7up instead of a 1.5l bottle for my kids! £5 for a slice of choco cake Is an absolute abomination it looks like a slice of food poisoning, in fact my son had the poos and it wasn’t fun to clean up. CHANGE IT. We put the choco cake in the microwave to heat it up and 20 mins later there was a bunch of bugs in my laundry room! Chips were oilier than my kiddies Johnsons baby oil for his dry bottom! my sausage almost got washed away. Food critics need to come and shut this place down before Russia come raid it for oil!!! Thank you Ely king not deserving a crown.

Everything was perfect every time I ordered. I like that is a nice, clean place, the staff is very friendly and polite, the food is always fresh and tasty and there’s every time some extra scoop, so I will definitely return and also recommend them to my friends.

Really bad customer service. I called to make an order a couple of weeks ago. A lady answered, there was lots of shouting in the background, which turned out as two of the workers having an argument. The lady taking the order told them to shut up. I ordered a kebab, chips, burger and children’s chicken nuggets. I forgot to ask the price on phone and when the man came to the door I asked how much. £30! We ordered again two days ago. We asked the price on the phone, the lady said £27.70, we said that that we had added up before the phone call and off the menu that had been delivered through our door last month and says should be £24.60. She said prices have changed so we said to her ok £27.70 then and would you be able to bring another menu. She said no it’s £29.90. With hungry children we just said ok. The food come it was disgusting, also no menu. Will never order from here again

Great chips that were freshly cooked whilst I waited. Large portion too. Now a regular stop when nearby.

Arrived on time and hot. Unfortunately they can't even batter a sausage without delivering it damp n soggy! Inedible mush! Couldn't be more disappointed. That's all we ordered, 2 portions of manky, mushy battered sausage and ok chips. Won't bother from here again.

Bought £8 piece of Haddock - worst piece of fish I have had for many a year. Definitely not fresh. Even the batter was hard and tasteless. So glad I didn't buy the chips at £2.50 a portion. I should have realised it wouldn't be god - the shop was empty when I went there around 5.45pm today (Saturday 6th August). Needless to say, I shall not be returning.

Got battered sausage and chips. Sausage was cold and greasy. No flavour and wasn't nice at all. Massive portion of chips very hot and enough for 3 people but greasy. Shame to be left with a greasy mouth and left hungry due to not eating the meal.

Pizza has gone downhill - no flavour 😞

Medium fish and chips is big enough for 2 adults or one very hungry person.

After waiting for more than 2 hours for a £25.50 kebab they gave me the wrong order. We called straight away, received no apologies and nothing about where my order was. After 1 hour I decided to deliver the order I received as I had their address. Back home called again said we did the delivery for them, we got no thanks, still no apology or any update on our order. Eventually our order did arrive, a greasy mess with a couple pieces of chicken and what I assume was a chunk of lamb. The rest was so awful we ended up throwing it. Sadly I can’t recommend the place or see any redeeming quality .

DONT ORDER! We ordered, it arrived late over an hour late, pizza was cold, and basically flavourless, THEN we found a BONE in our pizza!!!!

Chips hot service good will call again

Ordered fish & chips which was delivered nice and quickly BUT when it arrived the paper was dripping in oil and the fish was unedible due to this. Can’t taste the fish only the oil! Chips really nice but again saturated.

Ordered Donor Meat and chips. 3/4 of the box was full of salad the top layer was an average amount of Meat and I counted 9 chips. Bang out of order. Not worth £7.

Do not use this takeaway, I received soggy chips and was told it was my fault and that it is because I don’t like fresh chips, they are always soggy. Staff who was dealing with complaint then disappeared and blocked me on Facebook and now refuses to answer or do anything. The food was awful followed by the worst customer service in the world

Where to start ... 1. There was so much oil I'm surprised the fish didn't swim away 2. Soggy fish and chips 3. Fish was folded in half and made the chips oily. 4. Wasn't even warm. Are we supposed to cook it at home? Even the delivery driver rushed off as I'd assumed he was ashamed. 5. Bring back the " Fish net " 6. If they don't care about the food they serve then I dread to think what kind of state of the place is in. Bet they have an old hygiene rating certificate up from when they first opened. Environmental Health need to investigate before America flies over to raid the place for oil.. AVOID!!

Usually good but only lettuce and 6 chillies for salad with kebab today.

Terrible £12.50 to wait an hour for this , I did call but was told that’s what you get , I ordered a lamb sheesh kebab the lamb was barely chewable, will definitely not be using them again !! Very unsatisfactory!!

Didn't realise it was "build your own". Pitta not even cut so had to wait to get home and eat cold, rather than enjoy it lukewarm when it got served

First time trying this having moved to Ely recently. Food was delivered on time and hot. Portions were a good size for the price and the food all tasted pretty good. I would definitely try them again if in the mood for a kebab.

If reviewed a few weeks ago would have been 5 stars, fast delivery, decent food, ordered pretty regularly. Won't ordering anymore, mainly because they changed the chips. They used to be chip shop quality but now they're just like any other old place. Let me know if you ever change them back!

Delicious, fresh salads in pitta. Im a vegan, and really enjoyed my meal which was a very generous portion, well prepared and delivered so quickly. I'd certainly recommend.

Sent a kebab with no pita. Phone them and the answer is “we will send one out or we’ll send two next time” So basically either wait and eat a cold kebab or have an unnecessary pita next time.

The best takeaway we have ever had. Had a delivery to soham a few times now. Really good Donna kebabs and chicken kebabs well seasoned, moist and very tasty. Also previously had fish which was perfectly cooked light and crisp. Not sure what the bad reviews are about buy definitely the best takeaway for miles.
