E'Lupo in Rotherham

Had yet another fabulous dinner here. Four of us enjoyed fabulous food, one of us had the chefs special steak priced at £29.99 but worth every penny served with Mediterranean vegetables absolutely perfect 👌 I tried one of the specials for my starter large pasta shells stuffed with a spicy ground beef on a tomato base topped with parmesan fantastic taste should be on the menu permanently. As always very good portions leaving you stuffed! Just managed a dessert. 😆. The restaurant was very busy with ample staff to cope Friendly atmosphere and attentative service. The music was a little loud. Overall a first class night and look forward to our next visit. Thank you E'lupos 😊

Fantastic meal once again. Great staff 5☆☆☆☆☆. Fillet steak cooked to perfection and a good size. Wife had risotto which was very tasty and a good size portion. Anyone who thinks this place isn't value for money need to head down the road for a Happt Meal

My girlfriend and I visited this restaurant on a date night and couldn’t be more impressed with everything. The service was amazing, David and the team were so welcoming and attentive making the whole experience a great one. Then came the food.. we both had the pollo capri and LOVED it. The menu has so much to offer and I honestly could’ve picked so many things off the menu (which we will definitely be coming back to try). Thankyou to David and Laura for a great night, can’t wait to come back and try more of your delicious food

Our first family visit to this establishment.I am on the fence with our experience. The service wasn’t great, we ate early doors at 6:15 but needed to prompt staff for drinks and had a desert completely wrong . My teenage daughter ordered a chocolate pancake and clearly asked for plain chocolate ie no fancy additions but unfortunately it came very late and had white and dark chocolate drizzled on it. She clearly asked for plain dark chocolate but her request was ignored. The furniture is tired and the plastic table cloth is a bit basic ( wasn’t clean either) The mussel starter I had was the smallest starter I have ever had . It was tasty but really was too small. Overall the place has some strength but need to be more attentive and food portion sizes are too small. We had a few cheese and tomato pizza to share with our mains but we should have ordered one each as you would equate them to children portions. I noticed people eating pizza that were on the small size. The food is tasty, a few tweaks and this place could easily improve the overall dining experience. It’s not cheap but people don’t mind if you get the dining experience you’d hope for.

My husband has wanted to go here for ages but we both were disappointed. We both had the fillet steak and both were over cooked, not what you expect when paying £28 per steak. The prawn starter was very tasty. The deco and furniture is some what tired we asked to change our chairs because when you sat on them the padding has so worn down you end up sitting on the wood base , the swapped chair wasn’t much better. We won’t be coming back.

Been for a date night and what can I say. Food was spot on. Service fantastic. All staff friendly and welcoming. Atmosphere was fantastic as well. Not too busy either.

A welcoming restaurant with good food. However the portion sizes are questionable. We both had pasta dishes which I would consider as child portions. That too could be said of the garlic bread. Quality food, just not as generous as other restaurants. Plastic table cloths are a bit dated.

Fabulous, you will not be disappointed. There was 8 of us everyone had different food choices. Lots of different sauces with the main meats. All of us said it was the best food we had in a long time. You will not come out feeling hungry. It was really good. You have to book weekend and we will definitely be coming back. Thanks for great food.

This is by far the best restaurant in rotherham for an authentic meal. The ‘holiday’ feeling and the luxury of delicious ingredients. At no point do you feel ripped off, staff are helpful and friendly and sincere. We love love love it!! Highly recommend

Had such a lovely night on a wet July evening. Attentive service and great staff and the food was absolutely superb! Wonderful varied menu and specials too. We had starters, mains and just had to try the tiramisu!! Try this little hidden gem of a place you will not be disappointed!!

Amazing! Catered for me being gluten free. Nice to have a garlic bread available for me too. The carbonara was lovely. I cleaned the bowl. The entertainment was fab even if we did take over the karaoke. All the staff were so friendly and helpful!

We booked for a takeaway wanting a restaurant meal rather than the majority of standard takeaways as the lockdown continues. The service and booking was excellent. We ordered a variety of pizzas and steak and chicken dishes. Everyone was amazing and all the family were absolutely satisfied. The fillellto formagio was particular good and I will be ordering that again without doubt. Booked for 7.00pm on a Saturday night and it was ready and brought to the car bang on time. A definite must place to eat

The food, staff and atmosphere was incredible!The presentation of the food was outstanding and you were spoilt for choice in the menu. There’s a meal for everyone! We live local to E Lupos, but this was our first visit. We were a party of six to celebrate my sons 12th birthday and visited on a Friday evening. The restaurant has implemented safe Covid protocols, including temperature checks at the front door. Food was very good, and well priced - but what really makes the difference here is the service, warm, friendly, attentive - really excellent service. The owner/manager was on site checking on all his guests which I think makes a huge difference. Overall we really enjoyed our evening and will definitely be coming back.

After years of not visiting due to young children we managed a special rare night out and it didn’t disappoint!! Amazing fresh food and excellent customer service. Some places never get old!

Lovely restaurant & lovey food, really can’t recommend this place enough. Even during COVID, we felt safe.

Let me start by saying the service was outstanding and the COVID measures that were put in place were very good. The wine was nice and both starters were lovely, unfortunately the main course I ordered, tagliatelle formagio didn’t state on the menu that it contained tomato otherwise I wouldn’t have ordered it. If you have a particular dislike or intolerance please double check before ordering.

All the tables were full despite it being a Wednesday evening. Temperature checked on entry and all staff wearing protective visors. Service was great as usual. We had starters of Coppa di Gamberetti and Crespelle Fungi E Crema then Chicken Cacciatora. Both excellent.

This lovely restaurant has been a favourite in the family for years as it is so near where we live but also very affordable. Myself and my partner decided to go for a meal out for the first time since lockdown began and we were not disappointed. We were made very at ease when we entered into the restaurant with the checks (temperature etc) that were made and were seated immediately. The service was very quick and efficient but didn’t feel rushed and the food was beautiful. We enjoyed a lovely bottle of wine with our food and were even often a taste of the wine before selecting one. I couldn’t have had a nicer evening.

We were recommended this place by a friend and we’re so glad we did! Went with my wife midweek (booking is ESSENTIAL) and were served by Andrew, who couldn’t have been more gracious, friendly or helpful. We shared a starter, my wife had a perfectly cooked steak and I had possibly the best calzone of my adult life. What impressed us most, besides how unbelievable the food is, was the service. A huge group turned up just after we’d been seated, but despite this and the strain it puts on restaurant staff we weren’t forgotten about or neglected. The team did a fantastic job, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it. We’re already planning a return visit with my Father in law!

Four of us called here and my colleagues had been before so i thought it must be good. Staff were excellent and although it didnt seem like an Italian restaurant the food more than made up for this. I had the Gamberoni which was to die for and the Calzone with the bolognese sauce was absolutely spot on. Excellent food and highly recomend.

It came highly recommended, the food was excellent and they had a singer on we will definitely be going back again.

We visited this restaurant for my grandsons birthday - the food and service is beyond compare. We have been going to E’Lupos for many years and it just seems to get better and better. I had fillet steak with potatoes and vegetables - the steak was cooked to perfection and seasoned just right. What marks out this venue though is the service. There were a few parties in while we were there, but nothing was too much trouble and all done with a smile. Can’t wait for our next visit!

1st visit for over 15yrs and have to ask ourselves why have we not been using this place. What a gem of a restaurant. Great food, excellent service, brilliant atmosphere and sensible prices. Will be back very soon!

Id Never been to Elupo’s before until a family occasion and iv been another 3 times since! Every time it just gets better, food is always such high standard and the staff are fantastic, nothing is ever to much. I attended the bottomless brunch along with my sister for her birthday and she now plans to go back to. I also went with family and my two children on New Year’s Eve and it was the best New Year’s Eve iv ever had, amazing singer, attentive staff and gorgeous food. I want to book now for this years new year already. Atmosphere just tops off this little gem of place. Keep doing what your doing Elupo’s team.

Unbelievably, it was 34 years since I last visited el Lupo's when we celebrated my wife's 40th birthday!This time we went as a family to celebrate my daughters 50 ish birthday and realised just what we have been missing all these years....Right from trying to get a late booking of a table for six on a Friday night, the staff could not have been more helpful to accomodate us (Thank you Laura xx) and managed to fit us in even though this is one of their most popular nights.Great food, efficient service by friendly staff which was enjoyed by all. The female singer was very good and certainly added to the overall atmosphere. We will certainly not leave it another 34 years before returning!

Visited E'Lupos with friends last night and yet again the place delivered amazing food and service.

Went for my dads birthday on a Saturday night. Service was great and restaurant was busy with a great atmosphere. Enjoyed a lovely meal, would recommend the cannelloni.

Not been here for 6 years, it did not disappoint. Booked table over the phone from seeing a cancellation on their Facebook page. Every member of staff were friendly and attentive. Arrived early so we had a drink at the bar before our table was ready, coats taken and hung up for us.

Lovely food as usual, visited the Saturday before Christmas, great atmosphere just not very festive.

It was exquisite from start to finish, the atmosphere, the food and the staff were just lovely. My partner said it was the best calzone he’d ever had ( and he orders this in most Italian restaurants wherever we are! ) the live singer is a lovely touch, you don’t get this in many places at all especially in the Rotherham area so it’s refreshing to see something different. We will definitely be coming again, thanks so much!

We had fantastic meal on Monday 16th December for my daughters birthday, a really good menu with delicious starters, the chef is brilliant cooked my steak to perfection. All the staff are courteous and attentive. In all a great restaurant and staff.

Family meal, beautiful food. Had the pancake filled with meat and tomato sauce. Filling was packed full! Delicious flavours and not a single plate of anyone’s with any food left! Superb food and amazing staff.

Recent visit for a birthday. The restaurant had recently had flooding to the cellar but this had no effect to the service or quality of food.Highly recomended.

Came here as a group of 22 for a family birthday and all of us had a great experience. I had a sirloin steak with a pepper sauce and it was lovely, cooked exactly how I asked for it. Desserts were also enjoyed by all and the service was good all night. Hadn't been here before but will definitely be going back!

Went here with a large group of friends for a leaving do. All staff were very friendly and the service was great. The food was absolutely delicious; I had the spaghetti carbonara with a side of garlic bread and the portions were that generous i couldn't eat it all. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you want amazing food and fantastic service.

This is (in my opinion) the best restaurant in Rotherham. I have been coming here regularly for more than 20 years and have always enjoyed the fabulous fresh food, especially the specials board choices. Service is excellent, staff amazingly friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere is always buzzing. Love the open kitchen. Can’t praise the chefs enough for their incredibly tasty food!

This is one of my favourite Italian restaurants. The menu has so much variety, the food is authentic and always cooked perfectly. We have been going for many years and the only negative is that the young man behind the bar has long moved on and has never quite been replaced!

Every time we go it’s always got a good crowd of people with a lovely atmosphere inside and a friendly welcome. We ordered a starter each but shared between the group of friends as we can never decide and ordered a couple of garlic breads too!! I had the folded pancake (pepperoni) and the other half had the sirloin steak with a creamy mushroom sauce, both delicious! After all that we couldn’t eat anymore but we will try and manage the desserts next time

Been to this restaurant many times over the years and have never left disappointed. We visited for our anniversary recently, the food and service were top notch. It’s a busy little place with a good atmosphere. What more could you want! Highly recommended.

Visited for a catch up with work friends last night, the restaurant was busy with a party, however, the staff were amazingly attentive, always ensuring you had drinks and that everything was good with the food. I had Pollo Cacciatore and it was divine! The food is always amazing here as are the friendly staff. Highly recommend!

Decided to book ourselves a midweek treat and thoroughly enjoyed the food, atmosphere and attentive service. Beautiful garlic bread to start and a fabulous king prawn dish off the specials board for the hubby. For mains a gorgeous creamy cinnamon chicken dish from the specials board and a classic and delicious lasagne too. The portions were generous, the presentation was great and the food tasted awesome! Couldn’t fault anything - the staff are so friendly and very attentive, nothing’s too much trouble. I wish I’d have taken pics of our meals (especially the prawns) but tbh, the food didn’t stay on our plates very long! My only disappointment is that I didn’t have room for a dessert! We’ll definitely be more frequent visitors!

Came here for the first time yesterday for my son's birthday, an absolute treat, all food was delicious, dishes on menu could be changed on request if you'd like something taking out of a dish, staff was really friendly and polite, and we'll definitely be back.

E’Lupo’s offers traditional Italian food and has an extensive menu featuring a good choice of starters, pasta dishes, pizza, steak, chicken and fish dishes something for everyone.

Was invited by our friends who go on a regular basis,but haven’t been since May.Upon arrival was greeted at the bar and had a couple of drinks before lead to our table for 5 people.3 of us ordered a starter @ £8.95 each and there was plenty of tomatoe sauce in there but where were the mushrooms.Dont think 3/4 mushrooms was acceptable.Then the main course which was a total desaster.My partner ordered a sirloin steak with Diana sauce £18.95 .2 of us calzone 10.95 ,1 special pizza £8.95 and 1 chicken white wine sauce with mushrooms £16.95 .The steak was stood in front of him for a good 5 minutes until veg were brought ,steak weighing about 5oz. The calzone WAS NOT huesing with filling ,but they was plenty of tomato sauce around it.Good job it was because it was so dry.It was the size of a Greg’s pasty.my daughter pizza was suppose to be a SPECIAL .If that a Special at 8/9 inches in dia with dry topping then I’ll stand hanging. And last but not least our friend was given chicken with, wait for it the famous tomatoe sauce,yet she ordered white sauce because she does not like tomatoe sauce.After telling them 3 times they said it was there felt and she would have to wait another 10mins to correct.When what was suppose to be correct main dish for her came the chicken was the size of a sparrow & we said could you please tell me what this is.He replied well madam it’s fillet of chicken sliced in half.We replied oh,but where was the veg ,they said the veg my partner had eaten 35 mins prior were for our friend as well.How disgusting how can 2 roast potatoes 2 courgettes be for 2 people thes were served in a 6 inch dish.Then my friend had to wait another 5/10 mins for her veg.Totally not acceptable. Do not know how people can put these reviews on for 4/5 stars.They obviously do not eat many Italian meals. Our friends were really embarrassed for us as the used to go up to May in a regular basis but they say never again. And us 3 who travel a lot to Italy because we love the place people and food will never ever return.Its never been a Italian .Little Italy Dronfield will beat it any day so I suggest before any comments, to have a journey a little further and sample real Italian.

I’ve move away from the UK so I’m always excited to visit E’lupos when I’m back to visit my family. The staff are always so welcoming and friendly. It’s a family run restaurant and that really shows with the warm atmosphere. The Gamberoni starter is to die for and then it’s always a toss up between the Diavolo pizza or bolognese! Roll on September when I’m next back for a visit!!!!!

It's been a while since we visited e lupus and we were not dissapointed. The staff here are lovely friendly and knowledgeable about the cuisine which is a great help when you are not sure about something on the menu. I am usually safe when I go here and order my favourite calzone which my friends sad was brilliant again and the best the have had anywhere however I decided to go for something different and try the chicken picante. It was very nice but I prefer my safe option. Cheesecake for dessert was standard and enjoyable and made for another good evening. I do however have one criticism and this may be down to personal taste. For a starter I had the special bruschetta which was not special at all. It consisted of what I suspect was a piece of thin griddle bread covered in a freezing cold topping. Bruschetta for me should be warm on top not like this at all which I found disgusting to be honest but as I say it may be personal choice..

We had a wonderful meal at this restaurant for a friends hen party. There was quite a big group of us so we had to select our meals in advance which worked really well as no one was kept waiting to be served and the meal was piping hot.
