W Italian Bar and Restaurant in Rotherham

Being the last to finish at 930pm we were asked to wait in the entrance hall because they wanted to clear and close even though the place doesn't officially close until 11p.

Lovely, food, staff were really helpful. Not many vegetarian options on the menu compared to similar restaurants I've been to. However the waiter said "is their anything I would like to eat and he'd ask chef if they could make it for me " I asked for mushroom carbonara, and it was made especially for me. The food was very well presented and piping hot.

Wonderful food, excellent service, great atmosphere with a real ‘buzz’ - just a bit too noisy in the conservatory as everything echoes Superb service from Christof - very professional..

Loved the food here. And it was such a nice place for me and a friend to have a catch up.

Had a lot of great meals in here but they don’t like constructive feedback on anything not quite correct, irrespective of how it’s cooked in Italy, if it’s not right ie carbonara , cream no cream if it’s dry it’s not cooked correctly, saying that everything else was ok

Our first trip to W and it was insane! Food was absolutely beautiful and the staff are knowledgable and friendly. We ended up having 3 courses with some extras on the side and it was amazing. We cant wait to come back ❤️

1st visit with friends Service and Staff was fab Recommend booking as we did and not many tables left for a saturday . Food was lovely, not much to the lanzanza thou very runny. Only 1 cheesecake ordered but it was frozen still inside such a shame .

Usually can't fault this place, however, my husband and i visited at 6pm on 1st Aug to celebrate my birthday. Our main course was awful we both had salmon tagliatelle there was far too much smoked salmon on top which over powered the dish and it was very oily so much so that it separated the sauce. We fed this back to the waitress who said she would let the chef know. Wether this was followed through we don't know. Extremely disappointed £110 for a very disappointing meal. What should have been a night of celebration for us turned into us going home with stomach pains.

Food was beautiful as always! Was out as a group of 6 and the food came out in good time. Staff were wonderful 😊

Used to love W and whilst the staff are lovely, we called in today for a drink and it was below par. The drinks are much more expensive than anywhere in the area, of poorer quality and the smell for the drains (as advised by the staff) was disgusting! We only stayed for one drink and had to move on very quickly…. Not what it used to be unfortunately

Had my first visit to W Italian tonight. I can't recommend enough. The staff are all friendly and helpful. Great tasting food that's well presented. Definitely the best Italian restaurant I've been to

Some of our family live a couple of miles away from here and they invited us over to go out for a meal with them and it was absolutely amazing. From the moment we got there to the moment we left the service was very good and very attentive. The food was some of the nicest Italian food I have ever eaten. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough.

The best caprese salad with Burrata to start and lovely pesto chicken pasta. Been here twice. Absolutely beautiful place.

Went for a family meal, food was amazing, services is second to none. They even made dish for my two children that wasn't even on the menu. I mentioned that we were out for my daughter birthday, and when they brought our desserts out my daughters had a candle in and they sang happy birthday to her. Can't recommend this place another. Visited on a 'live' entertainment night and had drinks and snacks. Great place with friendly staff, a good atmosphere, and tasty food. Food and drinks a little on the pricey side. Good experience, well worth a visit, fun night. 😀

Feel it’s going backwards, they have got complacent, Goran is amazing as always, staff good but the food is starting to let them down, pizzas standard, maybe frozen base, steaks were great, desserts were still frozen, showed the staff and he said supposed to be like that (cheesecakes) had to leave it 10 mins, fries never crispy always soft and soggy, same menu for a long time, we’ve been here loads but I feel they need a refresh.

The service was great and the food was exceptional, one of the best arrabbiata dishes I've had. Would gladly recommend W.

The best Italian around by far. This was my 3rd visit and although I did have to get my steak re done as it was over cooked they did sort it quickly and apologised, everything else was flawless.

Tried to book for 12 people a table for daughters 21st birthday only to be told the maximum is 8. I asked for two tables of 6 next to each other which they refused..Working in the restaurant industry myself found this to be unacceptable an poor customer service.

Amazing place! If you are gluten free/coeliac please visit! Yesterday myself my partner and two friends and my 10 month old son visited and we absolutely loved the restaurant! Super friendly people and amazing food! The decor is absolutely stunning! I am a coeliac so I need to have a gluten free diet. All the food is clearly labelled and at the back of the menu they have an allergen guide! Perfect! We had a beautiful wine too We will be back

Dropped in on Mother’s Day without a reservation and they were very accommodating, even though they were very busy, was given a table straight away. Fast service. Fantastic food, highly recommend.

Only 4 star as felt rushed with our meal. We had only just had our starters taken away when our mains were brought out.

We went for a family birthday meal and was looking forward to our evening. We ordered our meals in advance and there was a great selection to choose from for everyone. All of our meals came together one of the orders was the 28 day steak which was really expensive. Whist everyone was enjoying our meal the steak was really grisly and we were unable to cut it . We told the waiter he took away the plate for the chef . We had no apology they seemed not to be bothered we paid the bill and left. Just be careful what you order . I suggest you order sensibly .

Lovely restaurant with great food. However, you have a 2 hour time limit which is ok for 2 people. When you have 4 people having 3 courses, 2 bottles of wine and other drinks it is not long enough and you should not have to move into the bar to have the desert.

Always a great experience eating here. The food, venue and especially the staff are consistently excellent. We were eating with a guest with multiple allergies and the staff were all aware and considerate when dealing with her. This really is a great restaurant!

First visit to The W and my husband and I were not disappointed. The scallop starter was amazing and the king prawn with garlic in a rich bisque was just mouthwatering! The lasagne was one of the best I've ever had. Can't comment on the desserts as we didn't have any room left 😁 the service was impeccable and the atmosphere was brilliant. The crust is nothing short of a masterclass, and that fiery kick? It’s like a little Italian nonna decided to throw in an extra dash of love and spice. The staff here? Phenomenal. Chatting with them felt like catching up with buddies from that unforgettable summer trip. Genuine, warm, and full of stories. The décor transports you straight to an upscale villa overlooking the Amalfi Coast. However, a small suggestion for the management: a tad dimmer on the lights, please? The ambiance is almost perfect, but when the patrons around you aren’t exactly runway-ready, softer lighting might be a blessing. In summary, an absolute gem of a dining experience. I missed starter but had spaghetti bolognese followed by a Baileys Creme Brulee. The spagbol was nothing special and I've tasted similar from out of a tin. The creme brulee had a burnt topping and the creme brulee itself hadn't set properly and was part liquefied. My two guests enjoyed all of their meal so I'm guessing I just picked a bad choice off the menu.

A lovely Italian restaurant, slightly more expensive than some but that reflects in the quality and presentation of the lovely food. Very good varied menu, something for everyone. It was busy, always a good sign and there seemed to be lots of regulars, another good sign. Plenty of staff who were all very attentive and helpful. Highly recommend a visit here but highly recommend booking too.

I have visited quite a few eating establishments while writing reviews and this one ticks all the boxes in many ways,let's talk about the cleanliness absolutely fantastic and I mean fantastic disabled facilities so well in order now the venue it's self is so well layed out it really is,wether you are looking for a group visit or just a cozy evening for two it's got it all I actually love this place,the staff are so friendly and approachable and can't do enough for you,and now the food omg twice I have visited and it's just left me wanting more so please if you ain't been here go give it a try you will definitely not be disappointed at all thankyou to all at w Italian for one splendid place to visit blessings tal

A lovely place . Friendly staff . Ordered the risotto which was probably the worst I've ever had, hard rice not much flavour and the chicken pieces were square shaped - suspiciously not chicken ! Such a shame . Saying that I would be open to giving this place another chance . Just don't order the risotto!

This is a wonderful place to eat and drink, they don't rush you at all. The wait staff are all so lovely and the food is out of this world.

Just outside Doncaster in Wickersley is W- Italian 🇮🇹. We had a super meal before the theatre. A very warm welcome and seated promptly. We had booked and it was extremely busy at 5. 30pm on Thursday. A pint of Peroni had to be done! We ordered a pasta dish with a side of garlic bread. For dessert we had the Baileys crème brûlée with a scoop of pistachio gelato! To accompany the dessert we had a couple of Spritz. A Limoncello and an Amaretto Spritz. Well worth a visit. £80 for 2 people ☺
