Dropped in on Mother’s Day without a reservation and they were very accommodating, even though they were very busy, was given a table straight away. Fast service. Fantastic food, highly recommend.

Only 4 star as felt rushed with our meal. We had only just had our starters taken away when our mains were brought out.

Our first visit will not be our last ,food was amazing and service and staff were top notch.

Absolutely amazing experience! Very authentic Italian food, the fastest service I’ve ever experienced in England! Unsure of his name, but the handsome Italian silver fox waiter made our Valentine’s Day!! The atmosphere was warm and relaxed! Grazie Mille 😘😘

We went for a family birthday meal and was looking forward to our evening. We ordered our meals in advance and there was a great selection to choose from for everyone. All of our meals came together one of the orders was the 28 day steak which was really expensive. Whist everyone was enjoying our meal the steak was really grisly and we were unable to cut it . We told the waiter he took away the plate for the chef . We had no apology they seemed not to be bothered we paid the bill and left. Just be careful what you order . I suggest you order sensibly .

Lovely restaurant with great food. However, you have a 2 hour time limit which is ok for 2 people. When you have 4 people having 3 courses, 2 bottles of wine and other drinks it is not long enough and you should not have to move into the bar to have the desert.

Always a great experience eating here. The food, venue and especially the staff are consistently excellent. We were eating with a guest with multiple allergies and the staff were all aware and considerate when dealing with her. This really is a great restaurant!

First visit to The W and my husband and I were not disappointed. The scallop starter was amazing and the king prawn with garlic in a rich bisque was just mouthwatering! The lasagne was one of the best I've ever had. Can't comment on the desserts as we didn't have any room left 😁 the service was impeccable and the atmosphere was brilliant. The crust is nothing short of a masterclass, and that fiery kick? It’s like a little Italian nonna decided to throw in an extra dash of love and spice. The staff here? Phenomenal. Chatting with them felt like catching up with buddies from that unforgettable summer trip. Genuine, warm, and full of stories. The décor transports you straight to an upscale villa overlooking the Amalfi Coast. However, a small suggestion for the management: a tad dimmer on the lights, please? The ambiance is almost perfect, but when the patrons around you aren’t exactly runway-ready, softer lighting might be a blessing. In summary, an absolute gem of a dining experience. Had another brilliant dining experience today at The W Italian restaurant. Service, Food and atmosphere was amazing. The staff were exceptional, all very hardworking!

Brilliant service and great food

I missed starter but had spaghetti bolognese followed by a Baileys Creme Brulee. The spagbol was nothing special and I've tasted similar from out of a tin. The creme brulee had a burnt topping and the creme brulee itself hadn't set properly and was part liquefied. My two guests enjoyed all of their meal so I'm guessing I just picked a bad choice off the menu.

A lovely Italian restaurant, slightly more expensive than some but that reflects in the quality and presentation of the lovely food. Very good varied menu, something for everyone. It was busy, always a good sign and there seemed to be lots of regulars, another good sign. Plenty of staff who were all very attentive and helpful. Highly recommend a visit here but highly recommend booking too.

I have visited quite a few eating establishments while writing reviews and this one ticks all the boxes in many ways,let's talk about the cleanliness absolutely fantastic and I mean fantastic disabled facilities so well in order now the venue it's self is so well layed out it really is,wether you are looking for a group visit or just a cozy evening for two it's got it all I actually love this place,the staff are so friendly and approachable and can't do enough for you,and now the food omg twice I have visited and it's just left me wanting more so please if you ain't been here go give it a try you will definitely not be disappointed at all thankyou to all at w Italian for one splendid place to visit blessings tal

A lovely place . Friendly staff . Ordered the risotto which was probably the worst I've ever had, hard rice not much flavour and the chicken pieces were square shaped - suspiciously not chicken ! Such a shame . Saying that I would be open to giving this place another chance . Just don't order the risotto!

This is a wonderful place to eat and drink, they don't rush you at all. The wait staff are all so lovely and the food is out of this world.

Just outside Doncaster in Wickersley is W- Italian 🇮🇹. We had a super meal before the theatre. A very warm welcome and seated promptly. We had booked and it was extremely busy at 5. 30pm on Thursday. A pint of Peroni had to be done! We ordered a pasta dish with a side of garlic bread. For dessert we had the Baileys crème brûlée with a scoop of pistachio gelato! To accompany the dessert we had a couple of Spritz. A Limoncello and an Amaretto Spritz. Well worth a visit. £80 for 2 people ☺

Wow , such a beautiful restaurant with the absolute best service. We preordered our food for a table of 8 and within 10 minutes of being seated the food was at the table ! Had a fabulous afternoon in the function room with family and friends. The buffet exceeded expectations and service was so efficient. Many thanks to Lewis who did a great job looking after us. Will definitely be hiring the room again and looking forward to booking a meal in the restaurant.

My first visit, but certainly not my last! Maybe a bit more expensive than I'd generally pay, but worth every penny. Superb service, superb food, there's very little more needs saying. You do need to book though, it's very popular, and rightly so.

Came for Sunday lunch today. First visit to W, but definitely not the last. Excellent service, and food was wonderful. I had Itlaian lentil soup which was gorgeous and both our main courses were oerfectly cooked. Highly recommend this restaurant

Cannot rate W highly enough. The food is beautiful and rather than some awful kids menu, they just make smaller portions of the main menu items. The staff are just fabulous and make a fuss of everyone, children especially. Absolutely love this place.

Nice food good service and a lovely environment

There was a great vibe about the place as we were shown to our table. The service was ever so slightly just the wrong side of attentive but polite, engaging and friendly. Only had bread and olives as anti-pasti, so the only real measure of the food was the main courses. 3 out of 4 were excellent with sides to match (especially the deep fried courgette) but the swordfish was very disappointing and had to be sent back. To be fair the staff handled it very well and replaced the dish (and sides) very quickly. Providing a birthday 'cake' was a lovely touch. Altogether, a very enjoyable meal and evening out Thank you
