Delicious food, great service, very quiet, great music, defo worth a visit!

A confusing visit. Looses points for subpar service/ pricing / serving warm beer / cheap vinegar type condiments / burger was incredibly bland bordering tough & generally slow from start to finish. Won’t be returning.

Went here for Saturday lunch. The service was incredibly poor and slow. Food took over an over to come after ordering. And we didn't order off the main menu (as there is a warning food from here takes time to prepare). Also ordered beers. Nothing came for 30mins only to find out its because they were out of stock. Didn't think to offer us another drink instead. The restaurant was very quiet too so they cant blame this on a busy lunchtime session. Only saving grace was the food was very good.

We booked in for Sunday lunch after seeing the menu on their website. On arrival we were informed that they did not do Sunday lunch and we now had to pick from a cafe type menu mainly serving snacks and sandwiches with a limited amount of mains. After a struggle we all eventually found something to eat and placed the order for food and wine. We were then told the wine we picked wasn’t available, so we decided on a different wine. The food arrived and it all looked delicious, although I’m not sure serving a prawn sandwich on a warm plate is a good idea. We then opted for another bottle of the same wine only to be informed there was no more available, so we then had to change wine and pick again. All in all it was a very disappointing experience and maybe as the name suggests we should have gone Elsewhere.

Friendly welcome despite being fairly busy. Really nice and varied menu with an oriental vibe to it. We had the chicken skewers and pork belly to start, with fillet steak and lamb for mains. Food was served hot, and was a good sized portion, with plenty of taste. Service was relaxed but attentive. Will definitely return

Ate here last night to celebrate our anniversary. The staff were very attentive and asked every customer if they had any allergies! Food was amazing and perfect size portions. Great variety of cocktails too. I would definitely recommend and this won't be our first visit! Keep up the good work.

Had heard a few good things about this restaurant from friends so went on a Friday night to see if their recommendations were correct… we wasn’t disappointed at all we shared a few small plates all of which were lovely. All washed down with a couple of very good cocktails and a lovely bottle of wine! Can’t wait to go back and try a few more dishes off the menu and a few more cocktails.

Ate here on Saturday with family, such a lovely place. There are 2 floors and we chose to eat upstairs. Only 2 other tables taken so we were able to chat without too much other noise. The staff are all so lovely, cannot do enough to make the visit enjoyable. All of our food was delicious and the portions generous. We will definitely return.

What a fabulous meal and experience we had here last night! From service, to atmosphere to food, everything was top notch! We tried a few different dishes and each one was amazing and bursting with flavour. Our server recommended the scallops and they did not disappoint, along with the tempura prawn bao buns. My friend had the pork belly and I had the Korean chicken burger with Japanese fries and they were amazing. Even the starter bread and my Old Fashioned were delicious!! The service was great, prompt and helpful throughout the evening and we loved the incense that wafted through the restaurant. I would definitely recommend - great variety of choice and easy to get to /park nearby! :)

The decor is not to my taste, but the staff were friendly and welcoming and the food, although a little slow in the delivery, tasty and generously portioned.

First time visiting this restaurant. Once seated upstairs the waitress took our order (wrote it down). A simple halloumi salad & burger, & tap water & a tea for drinks. 20 minutes had past & the waitress returned to ask us to confirm our drinks order which was annoying, we confirmed it then 5 minutes later our drinks arrived. 15 minutes later the same waitress returned again to ask us to confirm our food order this time, this was both confusing & annoying but we bit our tongues & just told her again what we ordered. 10 minutes later a different waiter came to the table to explain that their waitress was new & had got confused with our order, he then asked us to confirm our order AGAIN! I informed him we had now repeated our order for the 3rd time in 50 minutes since sitting down, by this stage we were clearly angry at the poor service & almost left there & then, but decided to wait it out a little longer as we were hungry. More time past by to the stage where we had now been sat down for over an hour & still no sign of our food. By this point we had had enough & decided to leave. We told the guy at the till to leave the food as we had waited long enough & that we’d repeated our order three times which was ridiculous in itself. He did apologise & let us have the drinks for free of charge for the inconvenience. Between all the waiting around since being seated, I had to ask a member of staff if he could turn off the air conditioning unit as it was freezing cold in the room even though it was raining outside, he did turn it off though. At another stage some music came on the speakers very loud & clearly other customers were bothered by it, about 10 minutes past before it was turned down. All in all it was just poor service & clearly some of the staff need further training in customer services & communication between their team. Its a shame we never got to try our food but due to all the reasons above we simply didn’t want to keep waiting for what was essentially a very simple food order to prepare. Its ironic that the place is called what it is as we certainly did end up eating ELSEWHERE.

Very slow on a Saturday morning. Waited 20 mins for tea and coffee to arrive. Still waiting 40 mins after we arrived to eat. Will not be back.

everything is excellent food the best service is beyond fabolulas friendly and home from home feeling..... I love eating there it is the best for me..

The food is amazing here. Truffle and Parmesan chips are something I reminisce over often! The lobster Mac & cheese is also unmissable, and the muscles are pretty epic. The cocktails are delicious and dangerously drinkable, and the service is lovely. It’s a really nice team and they’re very attentive but without being over-bearing. I really enjoy dining here. It’s like a little world away upstairs and it’s gradually becoming my favourite!

A great Sunday lunch and good value for money for the 3 courses we had.

Roast was very good. Had a large table of 10 and the service was excellent. Would highly recommend as they setting is nice and has a great atmosphere upstairs. The selection for the roast was good too

Had such a fantastic experience at elsewhere today, great atmosphere and decor, the staff were all so friendly and attentive and the food was amazing. We both went for the 3 courses with a lamb and beef roast as mains, such big portions and all cooked perfectly...we couldn't fault anything and would definitely recommend and hopefully return soon.

Just came back from a roast at Elsewhere, loved everything about it. Felt like a real food experience. Staff were lovely, roast was superb, and the cheesecake sublime. Can’t wait to go back!

Stopped for a quick bite for lunch while working from home, it hadn’t been open long at the time and so thought I’d try it out. Had a halloumi salad, and they didn’t skimp on the portion size and lots of halloumi - would like to go back with friends to try out more of the menu, but what I did have was good. Decor nice, friendly staff, quick service!

Had a really great experience at this restaurant. The food was amazing. The staff went out of their way to enhance our visit. They were attentive without being intrusive and as it was our anniversary seated us somewhere nice and treated us to a completely cocktail. Will definitely be back.

As always, (have been here for lunch and dinner many times now) we thoroughly enjoyed our lunch today at Elsewhere. Food is delicious, freshly cooked with local produce and presented so well. A lovely ambience, chic yet relaxed surroundings and the staff are excellent too. Friendly, polite, efficient yet unobtrusive. Cannot fault it.

Been here twice very good salad and very good burger , nice style with the water in cut glass decanters the fellas that own it are friendly yes a great asset in Leigh on sea

This is a fantastic restaurant which has an emphasis on locally sourced produce and sustainability. We have eaten here 8 times since it opened in March and will visit many more times. Our last meal at Elsewhere was on 8/11/22. As always the food was excellent - freshly cooked and beautifully presented. Service is extremely friendly, efficient yet unobtrusive. Ambience is very stylish, quirky and original whilst the atmosphere is really pleasant and relaxed.

Visited Elsewhere for a the first time and wow, it was exceptional. Lovely atmosphere, the food was superb, including the best rack of lamb I have ever eaten. Service was on point and friendly. Full marks, I look forward to going back soon.

We have been many times since the restaurant opened in March. We cannot fault it. Food is amazing and the staff are very accommodating.

A excellent restaurant food and presentation the very best.Could not fault any aspect of this dining experience all four of us had ordered a different main course and we all agreed this has to be the best in Leigh.Would definitely recommend a visit if you like top class food and service.

Really good food, lovely service too We popped in and got a late breakfast poached eggs and smoked salmon on toast and roast figs on toast. Both tasted brilliant and we really enjoyed them. Only drawback was only one slice of toast could have had 2 on each especially with the quantity of topping. But still, the coffee was great and we had a couple of cups each. Not a cheap place but Leigh isn’t. We will be back, but I will ask for an extra slice. With how nice the staff were I don’t think it would be a problem. But it did cause me to give 4 instead of 5 stars.

We had dinner and cocktails with 11 friends on a Saturday night. Great table area upstairs. The whole evening was perfect, the food absolutely delicious. We had a mix of small plates as starters and mains. Good wines and excellent cocktails. The service was spot on, I’m sure a table of 11 on a Saturday night isn’t easy but hats off to a very hard working and attentive team! The atmosphere was great, which can so often be missing in a restaurant…..great background music. Our guests had come from far and wide and all said what a great time they had. Thanks again, and hats off to the kitchen…..fabulous delicious food! Keep it local and support a really fab restaurant

Awesome brunch! The best veggie burger I’ve ever tasted! Staff friendly and welcoming. Food cooked to order and well worth the wait! Prices for wine a bit steep at £9.40 for a medium glass. Not a fan of management (?)/ staff sitting at a table wearing their coats chatting whilst people are dining. Spoilt the experience somewhat. Will return.

Robbed Today I visited Elsewhere LOS, cup of coffee and a small slice of cake to takeaway was £7.45, slice of cake £4.95!!! I have lived in LOS for 13 year’s and cannot believe the cost and what substitutes this! What a disgrace, a slice of lemon and poppy cake - whilst prices are going up, this cost is daylight robbery!!! I WILL NOT RETURN!

Top quality cocktails with a good selection on the menu. Very well presented and great taste. Food was amazing being both well presented and cooked really well. Compared to other restaurants in Leigh, you actually pay good prices for what you are getting as the quality of food and service is so high. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely little restaurant tucked away in the Leigh Broadway area of Southend-on Sea. Excellent food, great service, lovely surroundings. Well worth a visit, my only criticism would be no draught beer when we visited. Korean chips were super! 5 star hygiene rating.

Yet another lovely dining experience at Elsewhere. Three of us went for lunch today and we all thoroughly enjoyed the very fresh lobster brioche, fries and salad. Perfectly cooked and pleasantly presented. Friendly, very efficient staff and stylish yet relaxed surroundings. Faultless.

Have been there 4 times including their jubilee 6 course sample menu. Great every time. Would also recommend trying their sweet, slightly sparkling pudding wine to finish off the meal.
