Ella Turkish Charcoal Grill - New Bfrighton in Wirral

First visit to a Turkish restautant in the UK. Food was delicious and omg the portions ....I had the mixed kebab for 1 ....there was easily enough for 2. The service was excellent and at around £75 for the 3 of us that included drinks a shared starter and 3 mains - very good value for money. Would certainly eat there again.

The service the place and the food was perfect i loved everything in the place and the cozy setting was gorgeous i loved it, the staff was so nice and helpful with everything it was just a lovely experience and will definitely visit aging. I enjoyed celebrating my birthday in the restaurant it was so nice!

This is a good restaurant with a nice interior. It is very peaceful with nice music. The food is really tasty and the amount of food we ordered worth for price. Waiting time after order was very short. Thank you for all staff members.

Amazing food – we shared a double portion of mixed kebabs which were all tasty and tender, and a very generous portion. Good service from whoever was passing the table at the time – despite it being extremely busy we never had a trouble ordering food, drinks, additional dressings, and then coffee at the end. Turkish coffee tasted nice, but quite sweet for “medium”. We’ll look forward to going again next time we’re in the area. We’ll avoid 6pm-7pm as they were frantically busy. We’d booked for 6pm but with hindsight it would have been better off-peak. Overall though an excellent meal, service, and atmosphere. Being able to see through the big windows into the kitchen added to the experience.

We dine here every time we visit New Brighton. Food is delicious and well priced. Service is friendly and efficient. Before you eat you’re presented with a fresh salad and basket of warm and tasty bread with accompanying dips. Great choice on the menu too. Our new top place to visit

Perfect. We’ve been here now many times. It’s change its name to Ayla. We have had our wedding meal, some meals in between and now our anniversary meal here which says it all. The food is fantastic. There is always the warmest of welcome by the staff and the food is just phenomenal. You get fantastic value for money and this is our favourite place to eat in new Brighton. Absolutely no complaints now or any previous visits.

Food and service excellent! Great choices and cooked to perfection, been four times now and always delicious. The platters are huge and the meat melts in your mouth. Plenty of dishes for vegetarians too :)

I cannot fault the whole evening nor would we want to. Saturday night no booking and despite it being packed we didn’t wait long for a table. Staff were excellent not too fussy just right. Starters and mains were excellent, best chicken I’ve had and my partners lamb was so tender it fell to pieces. Reasonably priced too. Walk past the chains Prezzo etc to somewhere ten times better

We had been warned the mixed platter for two was a killer, but we went for it,and my god it was a delicious belly buster, worth every penny, but we couldn't conquer it. The atmosphere in this restaurant has a lovely vibe, the service is 10/10 it's like the staff all cover each others back and no person is ever left out. The food came really quick. We were not rushed and enjoyed ourselves. We only bought a bottle house white, but it tasted lovely. Couldn't fit in a pudding, we had to cut short our night to go back home and lie down. Great will definitely be going back.

Didn’t book and chanced our arm for a table. Staff were happy to accommodate and were really friendly. Gréât selection of food, particularly starters. Main meals were really, really tasty. I went for the lamb shank and wasn’t expecting it to be so large!!! All meals accompanied by fresh bread and salad, which we struggled to get through due the shear amount of food! Will definitely come again!

I had the meatballs as a starter and the fish of the day as a main. The meatballs were decent, but maybe a bit bland and could have used a bit more spice for flavour. The fish was tasty and cooked to perfection but was unfortunately served with all of the small bones in it which of course meant I had to manually debone it myself. Service was absolutely spot on, and all of my friends seemed to enjoy their meals. Thanks

Great first visit, we have visited a few Turkish restaurants but this is now our favourite, the food was beautiful, staff were very friendly and helpful, will definitely visit again

Had calamari ...the menu stated lightly coated it came as thick deep fried batter around the squid...really awful fish... plus the batter ...thick... and the oil needed changing because the batter was dark brown. Lamb was ok ...cavic okay... salad could have been so much better ...service was poor and neglectful... it took ages to get the order taken and for the main course to arrive after the starter plates were gone for some time.. I was told this was good it was not great in many aspects.. Price for a pint of tap water with lime was £4.00 are you for real ?? The offer was 20% off for February it needed to be as it was overpriced for not the best food and lime and water at that price its a rip off Elif in Bold Street is great menu for 2 courses at £12.95 for lunch and average main course at £12.95 starters sround £5.00 Get a grip of everything st the restaurant as people will dhop around . I will never visit with friends or family again. Very disappointed with this new restaurant that has recently changed hands and changed their name

The food is amazing, the staff ate so nice, I have been to both new Brighton and Prenton and the food has been consistently good - I would totally recommend this for a fantastic night out

Went last night for my son’s birthday. I had booked a table for 6 people by phone earlier in the week. The staff seemed unaware of this, and I had to ask twice for our table, which they then set an empty table for us while we waited. Meanwhile a party of 6 behind us were seated straight away! After around 15 minutes one of us went to find someone to take our drinks order, even though we had not been given a drinks menu. They had no beer on draught due to a problem with the taps, so 4 of us ordered bottled beer, when they arrived 3 were warm, only the desperado was chilled. Our food arrived around around 8.00 pm ( we arrived at 7.00 pm) , a very grumpy waitress, who did not ask if we wanted more drinks, as the beers were finished by then. There were also no appetisers served, as had been our experience on a previous visit. Again we had to find someone for drinks and said that the previous beers were warm. We were told that they’d only just been put in the fridge very matter of fact no apology. So we ordered all desperados as at least they were chilled. No one came back over to ask how the food was. My sons meal was cold, those who had chips found them undercooked and my lamb adana was very dry. A waitress then came and said oh we’ve run out of desperados now. As we’d all finished we didn’t bother with any more drinks just the bill. So, poor drinks, poor food, terrible service.

Food (what we got) was nice, but the service was too slow. The staff were friendly and tried, but it was all too slow and seemed a bit chaotic I’m afraid.

We had a table booked for 7pm so arrived a few mins before. A huge queue of people also turned up who had booked online , and were told there was an error on the system and they had no space. They were turned away. We were showed to our table with menus. It was 50 mins before our drinks order was even taken and a further 20 mins to actually get them. Finally we received our starters which were lovely. About 25 mins after our starter dishes were taken, my main came out with no sign of my partner's. It is so hard to try and get the attention of a staff member because they are run off their feet due to being under staffed. We decided to leave and asked for the bill. They did remove both mains from the bill for us. It's such a shame that the place is not run correctly because the food is really tasty ! To spend 2 and 1/2 hours here and to only have a starter is just not good enough. Hopefully they take the feedback on board and can run more efficiently .
