Elk Coffee in East Cambridgeshire

Nicely air conditioned on a hot muggy day, this cafe is so much more than a place to feel comfortable in. The coffee is exceptional and so reasonably priced. A brilliant choice of GF cakes too. We ate local sausage roll and toasted haloumi roasted veg and pesto sandwich. All delicious

This place is a gamechanger for Burwell. The coffee is top notch, some of the best I've had. The cakes are AMAZING, as are the sandwiches and sausage rolls etc. The staff are nice and will go out of their way to help, and the cafe is clean and nicely decorated. Parking is easy outside and there's a bunch of walks that you can do from nearby - what more could you possibly want!

Excellent coffee in a lovely setting. Broad range of food including tasty bacon rolls and vegan Cornish pasties. I sampled both the filter coffee which I think was batch but very flavoursome, good blueberry flavours and a flat white. I believe the coffee is roasted locally and the beans can be bought. Good options for kids too with some elaborate milkshakes. Lots of good walks nearby too so you can build up an appetite before you visit. Highly recommended.

Relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. Professional friendly staff. Delicious cakes/pastries. The best caramel latte’s I have ever had bar none! Brilliant!!!

Lovely little coffee shop. Due to the covid 19 situation they are only able to serve you at the door but they are still smiling and the same friendly staff. Coffee , pastries and cakes still available. Please go along and support your local coffee shop

Elk is just a great place to relax, unwind, chat - and of course drink great coffee! We visit often - and are so pleased that it is thriving in the village.

We simply love the coffee here - the best flat white we have ever had, rich and smooth. The team are always friendly and helpful. We are so very lucky to have this great coffee shop in our village.

I have passed this coffee shop a few times but hadn’t been in until now, We found it to be a really nice place to stop and rest whilst having a really good coffee, We also had a toasted sandwich which was really good better than what you would get to eat at one of the faceless chain coffee shops. Staff are really friendly and they were taking your order at the till and then once seated they bring your order to you, much better than waiting at the till for it and having to carry it to your table. Delightful simply Delightful

I stopped here while visiting the area and ordered a coffee and bacon roll to set me up for a long drive home. It was so good I bought myself another coffee and a bag of peanut butter brownies to go...when in Burwell! Alongside the tasty food and drink, it's a great space with friendly staff. Can I give it a 6 out of 5?

Do t really like the coffee as always too strong and bitter, do try extra water and milk. Both drinks and food too expensive for local little village

Love the feel of the cafe - modern, clean and smart. Service is always friendly and efficient. The coffee is a good quality and full of flavour - particularly like the flat-white. Nice sit outside in the sun.

The coffee at Elk is excellent and the place feels friendly and welcoming. Cakes and snacks good to. All it needs is a bike rack!

Popped in for a coffee and a snack. Cappuccino, soup, cheese scone and cake. Great produce, great vide! Highly recommended and will return.

it was a wet Sunday morning and I was tasked to look after my grandson while the other adults took part in a local charity run, walking round Burwell I happened upon The Elk and it looked very inviting, so in I went.

Nice little discovery on one of my bike rides! Friendly staff, good coffee. Always nice to find a coffee house that isn't part of a chain!

Turned up with 16 cyclists and no notice and it was fantastic. Great cafe, friendly staff, wonderful cakes and coffee, fast service. If you are near here make a visit!

Absolutely lovely cafe, just what Burwell needed! It's lovely decor inside, and the staff are very friendly, saying goodbye as you leave and smiling etc. They do amazing hot chocolate!! And have recently added new food to their menu, which I'm excited to try!

A recent arrival to the village, Elk has proved to be very tasty with a good range of coffee shop foods. Wi-Fi and good seating make this a tempting place to undertake flexible working.

We really enjoyed our visit ELK café: the coffee was excellent, there was a great selection of cakes available, loads of young (very well behaved) children present (probably helped by the free colouring sheets that were provided). Shall definitely re-visit when next in the area.

Absolutely love this new little gem that not only Myself but many other residents of Burwell have strongly welcomed!! Reasonably priced, EXCELLENT cappucino, chicken tomatoe & pesto panini is 'the one'.. Definately reccomended!!!!!!

Great place for a tea or coffee. Good savouries and pastries. Pleasant atmosphere with friendly staff. Parking could be an issue but for locals walkable.

I have been quite a few times to Elk with friends or family members. Great local place for scrummy cake and a cup of tea. Shame there isn’t a greater range of teas on offer but I guess as it is a coffee shop the name says it all! Highly recommended.

Best coffee around for miles. And cakes and pastries are excellent too. Seating comfortable, staff very helpful and polite. A good place to meet up, whether for a business meeting or a catch up with friends. Have been three times - and hopefully will return many more in the future.

Visited on a Saturday morning at 11am. Cafe was busy - all tables full, and a great atmosphere. The cafe inside is smart and inviting. Bought a cappuccino take-away - good service and most importantly very good tasting coffee!

The cafe itself is beautifully laid out - comfortable surroundings. I kicked back with a fantastic latte which was I understand their own blend of beans. Couldn't fault the service and surroundings.
