A proper British pub with good and cheap drinks, amazing atmosphere, a gem of English culture.

Im going to cry if I see another green king. Level heads are more numerous than madris and it makes me uncomfortable. Is Timothy Taylor's on? You dont know. Went for g&t as was a safe bet. Does it close at 10? No! Don't worry runners

10/10 for this pub. Called in when visiting our daughter who’s at university in Leeds. Great atmosphere, brilliant friendly staff. Dog friendly. Drinks prices are reasonable for such a busy city. Not far from the city centre as well. Well done.

A real pub - lovely welcome with a large group of friends. Not sure I'd venture on my own on my travels, it was becoming noticeably rowdy around 6pm, but it was a nice place to have a glass of wine with friends despite the shenanigans, before catching my train back to Sheffield. Staff lovely - sorry I didnt get a name 😍

My son called in with a few friends, went to bar and came back and his rucksack with headphones, sweatshirt, rings, Converse boots and T-shirts were stolen. Expensive lesson. Cameras might useful for instances like this and the safety of customers and staff in general.

10/10 pub. All the staff are slayyyy and the drinks are cheap for a pub in Leeds. On Tuesday’s they also do quirky pub quizzes. Nice atmosphere as it caters to students but also the locals. Would recommend:)

This was by far my favourite place on the Otley Run and I would love to come again! The atmosphere was amazing with a fantastic selection of music. There was dancing and it really was just my cup of tea in there. Perfect perfect perfect.

No cooling system due to breakdown and no cask ale due to mechanical fault, warm Guinness, reimbursed and left.

*PART OF THE OTLEY RUN* Bouncer was friendly to us, but it’s extremely disappointing to hear that many women have been treated poorly by their security - have the pub addressed this?? When we went there was a fairly large table for us to sit at. It had a mixture of students and locals and is very unpretentious. Lots of lager and cider options.

Wouldn’t recommend unless you want Your friend to get harassed by a guy and when you try to defend yourself and tell the person to go away you get dragged out by two bouncers rather than the guy harassing you

Absolutely terrible security. Do not care about womens safety. Threw us out while we was the ones getting harassed! The guy for to stay no repercussions for the male. Lady’s BEWARE absolutely disgraceful!

Frequently visit the Eldon and it’s by far the best pub I’ve been to. Food and service is excellent and the staff are so lovely! Would recommend to anyone in Leeds!! :) x

Best pint of Greene King IPA that I have had in a very long time.

I love the Eldon, drink in here very often. Just a good old pub, loads of different booze on offer and a great atmosphere, never seen any bother in here either.

Handy pub to spill into from the university. Quite busy and loud inside, but good for a quick drink after uni / work. Best for groups, otherwise probably not what you're looking for.

Don't visit anymore. Changed to Green King and has a limited menu. Ok if you eat burgers

Went to the Eldon on Friday and have to say the dj was really really good, the atmosphere was amazing as well

It was very quite at lunch time thought it would be busy lager not expensive but no atmosphere quirky stuff on the walls aimed at student punters

Nice, cozy little place. Don't expect too much. It's fine for a pub.

I love the pub and am a regular but I must make a point about last night. It is regularly busy on a Saturday evening with Otley Runs and the fact Leeds United were on Sky We had the crazy situation were 3 members of staff behind bar but one couldn't serve until the supervisor signed him onto the till and one young lad was 'on glasses' leaving one young lady to handle the bar for at least 10 minutes on her own. It's not as if the Otley Runners are a new phenomena..............

Reasonable choice of beer, good food, & modern decor. A very reasonable university pub.

Has a nice atmosphere but can get quite loud, decent food

Came in for lunch. Slow service. Fatty bacon. Chef was very rude. I had brought some cake to eat. I did not know it would be an issue. He did not even give me a chance to breathe let alone clear it away before being rude and demanding I clear it. Nice costs nothing. Ruined the mood and lunch. Congratulations you've pissed off a customer and potential patrons as I will not be taking anymore work lunches here.

Green King pubs do tend to be reliably welcoming and good value.. But.... Forget catering for Gluten Free they don't. Menue advises to ask for alergie info at the bar. The response is we don't do Gluten Free! Not the fault of the apologetic and friendly barman. It's your fault Green King.. Sort it!

Cheap pint, good range of beers and chat. Food good and cheap too. Mix of students and older regulars so a proper mixing pot.

It's ok beer is quite expensive also staff aren't very friendly won't go again.

Called in for tea tried the burger and cheese not bad, I'd recommend it. the pub look ok, done out for the World Cup. It was quiet so we did get our food fast, will call again see how it is when busier

Took 45 minutes for the burgers for our group to arrive, by which point they were all cold. Also the ale was cold, far too cold

Called in yesterday for a pub lunch. Not a massive choice but when food arrived it was very enjoyable. Excellent staff. Friendly and efficient. Cost average per person £9 including drink. A basic down to earth pub.

Publicidad 1 opción vegana la "hamburguesa vegana de falafel" y solo cuando pregunto por la ensalada de col me dicen que la hamburguesa en sí no es vegana, ya que el moño contiene huevo. NO anuncie falsamente alimentos libres de animales y ni siquiera mencione en el menú que el pan contiene huevo. No en. Perdiste mi costumbre y supongo que muchos otros consideran que el veganismo ha tenido un gran aumento en los últimos años.

It's awful now that they changes the menu. It has turned into a burger place. Food is overpriced.
