Ela Kendro in Medway

What a lucky google find. Whilst parking up you can smell the lovely coals and grill, very inviting. The food didn’t disappoint and my kids who are fans for Cypriot dishes were very happy. Lovely atmosphere. Kind and attentive waiting staff. Lovely and clean. Plenty of space for larger parties. Reasonable prices and good portion sizes. We definitely recommend this place. We will be back.

Chicken shish was a dry and bland. The starters of hummus and bread was great. The chips were delicious, tasted like chips from a chippy shop. Excellent service.

I recently visited Ela Kendro and it was amazing. The food was great and portions were very generous. Staff was very friendly and accommodating and are perfect at making special events that extra bit special.

Great people/service, great atmosphere, good food! Some areas of improvement: Pastitsio was way way too salty, specifically the cream. Greek salad can be a bit more flavourful & authentic.

We dined here on Saturday evening and had a fabulous time! We were visiting from out of the area and Ela Kendro stood out from their great reviews and I can see why. The food was delicious and the service was fantastic from the minute we walked through the door from the minute we left. Max and Louisa served us and they really looked after us. The restaurant had a wonderful atmosphere.

Was with my kids spent 3 hours waiting for a for meal deal ended up taking the forth one take away they where lovly people but more interested in the tables buying drink

We eat here a few times a year (the only thing that stops us doing it more is getting childcare so we can leave the house!) the food is always fresh, hot, delicious and so filling. We never manage pudding, but sometimes order it to take home. We visited yesterday for dinner, just 2 friends desperate for a catch up over good food and that's exactly what we got. I highly recommend the mixed souvla! Louisa, a waitress we've not met before, ensured the service we received was friendly, professional and on point. We never felt rushed but also were not left hungry or thirsty for the 4 hours we stayed. Thanks Louisa and the rest of the team for giving us a reliable brilliant evening! Hope this makes the PJ top (add 5 stars as I can't to this text!!)

Popped in there for the first time on Friday evening just for drinks. Was immediately made welcome by everyone in there. Sat at the bar & the young lady Katie running it was absolutely phenomenal at her job, very professional and always had time to chat with myself & other customers. One of the waiting staff Ellie was also superb, when not serving tables would check to make sure everything was OK for me and then straight back into action when called upon. The food looked & smelt divine & the whole vibe of the place is just fantastic. I'll be back again soon. Thanks

Ela Kendro is a wonderful place, we celebrated the baptism of our little one, from the staff to the management, everything was exemplary. Once you enter this premises you will feel at home. Vasile, Vera, Len, Panaitios, Kelly, and all others (unfortunately I didn't get all stuff names) made our event go better than we expected. Thanks with respect from the management to the staff

I took my partner here last night for dinner and won't be going back. The meat was dry and fatty, by the time I finally saw anyone who worked there to ask for some form of sauce to add to the dish by the time they got something our food was dry. No one the whole time asked how the meal was which is poor and wisked it away once we was finished. The waitress who originally seated and took our order was no where to been seen after. It wasn't until I had asked to get the bill and paid is when the lady asked how our meal was but nothing ever got offered only just an apology and wished us a better experience next time. Like that will happen, I've had better Turkish food from the take away next door.

We turn to Ela Kendro for family celebrations now. Tonight our daughters major Birthday. Friday the 20th April , and a packed restaurant the young front of house crew knew there jobs and worked the tables as they would if it were in Greece itself, as usual food fantastic.

This was such a lovely restaurant. From the outside, it doesn’t really suggest what nice food it has. The food is clearly home made, service lovely and food delicious! We had a good selection of meze, each bit as lovely as the next. Strongly recommend

Visited Ela Kendro for my birthday meal with my husband and it was fantastic! We are frequent visitors to the Greek Islands and we were missing the amazing food well now we don't have to. Service was great, servers were very attentive and welcoming. Drinks were served quickly and we had plenty of time to decide what too eat. We had the tzatziki starter between 2 of us and it was delicious, fresh with warm pittas. For our mains we had the Kotoleta with roast potatoes - cooked to perfection and super tasty. Drinks were great and the lokoumades were worth the wait. We will be coming back efcharistó x

Great service and attention to guests and all over atmosphere but Greek salad was not really a proper Greek Salad I used to eat in Greece - a lot of green cut salad with few olives and few bits of feta cheese so not happy with that being one of signature dishes. Everything else was fine.

Well worth a visit if you are after something different to eat in the medway towns

Visited on Sunday after hearing really positive reviews about the venue, the food was nothing special and lacked flavours. We were served by a lady from Leeds who was extremely pleasant and attentive.

Came with a big group for a Christmas party, and we had exclusive us of the upstairs. The staff were fantastic, and created an experience bespoke for our group, the food was delicious and varied, and it was a really reasonable price. Thanks Lenny and the team!

Ela Kendro's is a great place to eat. I went with a party of nine and the staff were patient, kind and quick and bringing us our drinks or solving any issues we had come across. (Nothing bad just fussy people in my party). The food was amazing all served quite quickly and was desirably cooked. The atmosphere was also quite nice. I have been here a few times and every time it has been quite busy so the Greek music was slightly drowned out but it also depends on the party you go with. The money you pay at Ela Kendro's is well worth it especially with the amazing friendly service. I would recommend this place and I would also recommend the meze to anyone feeling okay to fast for a day.

Nice warm atmosphere - food was excellent (quite big portions, too), and staff were attentive, polite, helpful and kind - our waitress was very knowledgeable about the food on the menu which helped us decide what to choose (as there were so many lovely options 😊). Have been there several times now and look forward to my next visit. Only issues I would mention though are that there are two small flights of stairs to the loos and parking in that area is a bit of a pain.

Lovely meal, food was outstanding, great service, unfortunately the heating was broke , but they put a little heater on and gave us a couple of water bottles , wasn't their fault and helped as much as possible

Me and my wife went here for a Sunday lunch. The staff were wonderfully polite and attentive. A real nice family vibe throughout. The food was the star of the show, excellent quality and portion size. My advice is pay the little bit extra to get their slow cooked meat, it will be worth it!!

Goodness, where can I possibly begin? From making the initial booking to our final coffee, the entire dining experience was simply fantastic. I, being of greek origin, along with two close friends, frequented Ela Kendro last night for the first time. You can antisipate the dining quality when you are informed that it's a genuinely owned Greek restaurant........! But wow, it simply took me back in time to family gatherings back in Cyprus !! Both I and my friends couldn't fault the food, service or the atmosphere!!! The owners son personally waited on our table and simply made us feel like old friends! (How do you do that??) The portions were so large, well prepared, and presented that we had to pause prior to ordering our deserts, which there was no way we were missing out on........ lol For all those failing restaurants featured on Gordon Ramseys Hells Kitchen, here's a simple idea, visit Ela Kendro, and simply duplicate EVERYTHING they do!!! To all the staff, chefs, and especially the maitre d', thank you, thank you, thank you! (σε ευχαριστώ πάρα πολύ)

Loved our experience. We went on a Friday evening and you really should try to book a table in advance, got busy from around 6.30. Really nice food, quite big portions we had to take some leftovers away, lots of gluten free options (all of the grill I think, chips, potatoes, most sides and even pitta bread). Service was really attentive and friendly. Thank you.

One of my favourite restaurants. Owned and ran by Greek Cypriots ❤️ We had the mezza for two. I think there's a change to the mezza menu because we didn't get as much food as before.

Small cosy restaurant. Amazing serving staff; welcoming, attentive, patient, pleasant. The food presentation was great. However, my friend and I both found that the meat and fish were too dried out and not flavourful. The roast potatoes were not really roasted....but looked more like just boiled and covered in a tomato sauce. I think I had a bit higher expectations for the food. Nonetheless it has not put me off from returning or encouraging other people to go. The environment is far too relaxing to take it off my list just yet. Also they are having a party for new yrs eve if anyone is looking for somewhere to go.

Very good Greek food and pleasant staff

Excellent atmosphere, very attentive, freindly and kind staff, larger than it looks restaurant on 2 floors, beautiful food. Would highly recommend making a reservation. Only one down side and is absolutely no fault of the restaraunt, and that is parking in and around this area could be very difficult, it took me over half an hour to eventually find a parking spot.

Nice evening. A little expensive for me but the food was good, service attentive and pleasant. Personally, I wasn't blown away by the desert. Deep fried sweet dough balls. A little too oily for my taste so reason for 4 stars. That and the price but the staff were very engaged. I'd certainly dine there again but try a different suite. Don't mind higher prices but didn't feel it was that excellent as a result. Just my opinion.

We love this restaurant. The food is quickly served and is always tasty. My wife's gluten free diet was accommodated. The staff are welcoming and friendly, especially important for customers nervous after months of lockdown. Going here is a real treat for us.
