El Toro Gaucho in West Lothian

First visit for all of us….fantastic! Staff were very friendly, very attentive! We were shown all the different cuts of steak. Order was taken very quickly, prawn starter I had was very tasty. Three of the party had steak, everyone enjoyed them. One person had salmon which she said was good. Everyone enjoyed their dessert.

Went with my mum and dad for the first time. Was a wonderful night food was amazing would highly recommend the T bone steak or the wagu steak burger. Staff were friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back.

Fantastic food and service. Staff, especially Eman, were very welcoming and attentive to our table. The food and wine were delicious and great value for money. A great dining experience, highly recommended.

Food was amazing. Steaks were top Quality and cooked to perfection. The Deserts again were very good and the customer service excellant. You can see a lot of effort has been made to make this a really nice place to have great food. One gripe i have is change the Bollywood style music just not to the average customers taste.

Great spot for dinner, food came out quickly and tasted amazing. Staff were also very friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. Will definitely be back!

What a meal we had last night, had Nachos to start which were amazing, my wife asked for no guacamole which was served anyway, when our waitress noticed this she offered to replace this with a fresh plate which we declined as the guacamole was delicious. They even offered to remove the cost of the starter from our bill which is a first for me. We both had ribeye which was cooked to perfection and the sides & sauces were amazing, The service from the minute you arrive is spot on and cant wait to go back,

food and service were excellent, i was greeted at the door and showed to my table shortly after was shown all the different cuts off meat the waitress was also very happy to answer any questions i had about the steaks. when the food came out it was hot and my steak was cooked perfectly. i will definitely be returning very soon.

Went last night 5th April with my Daughter. We were greeted warmly at the door by our server Grace. The service was very attentive and the menu was explained and we were shown the different cuts of beef which were offered. The meal was fantastic, hearty portions so be hungry. Excellent overall service and atmosphere. I will be returning shortly with my larger family group

Went for our 10 th wedding anniversary. The establishment was smaller than I imagined. We were warmly shown to a table of 2. The server came over with all the cuts of meat but the room was so busy and noisy it was difficult to hear what was being explained. We ordered 2 sirloin steaks one medium 1 medium/well with sides of potatoes, chips, broccoli and peppercorn sauce. All the sides came without the broccoli and when I enquired the server seemed to think I had ordered spinach . The broccoli came which was lovely but the sauce was a tad disappointing being very spicy. My steak was slightly over cooked and when I complained about it being very fatty I was informed it came with a thick outer layer of fat which was normal, I just agreed with the explanation from the server but given a sirloin steak is one of the finer pieces of meat I know there shouldn’t have been as much fat as I was given. My husband finished off with cheesecake which they tried to give us 2 of and I had a calypso coffee which I had to explain to the server how to make. Overall it was okay. For £102. Would I go back . No. I can’t say I would . It wasn’t an amazing experience and the food was mediocre.

Had an amazing meal here last night, service, food and drinks were amazing! Our server was Iman, she was so helpful and lovely, attentive while not being too much which we love! Food and drinks came at the perfect time. Atmosphere was so good too, so lovely to see a small business thriving. The steak was cooked perfectly & tasted unreal, definitely up there with one of the best i’ve eaten. Will 100% be back!

A fantastic meal along with fantastic service from the very lovely Rihanna. A gem of a place in Bathgate for a great meal out.

Love this place. Service is amazing and food is stunning! Red wine very nice too. You definitely need to book as it isn’t that big but each time we’ve been it’s always been full and really nice atmosphere. All the staff are young and knowledgeable and very helpful and make recommendations and suggestions on food and wine. Grace is absolutely fantastic and last night we met Oakley and he was very good too as are all the others. This has definitely put Bathgate on the food map for sure. Highly recommend.

fist visit here and a lovely meal . Place is small and cosy . Staff are really attentive showing us the cuts of meat prior to ordering which was nice . We had the wagu burger with fries extras corn on the cob, haggis and onion rings and the chicken skewers . All the food was excellent . Next time we go we will be having the steaks . All the food that came out looked amazing . I would recommend

My wife snd I and our friends went here last weekend to try it for the first time. Amazing food at reasonable prices. My T-bone was large and cooked to my liking. Also a shout out for our waitress Melissa who ensured we always had a constant flow of wine to wash down those lovely steaks. We will be back again soon!!
