Nice food, good price, friendly and efficient service.

First time here and we have to say what a fabulous meal we had. The service was spot on, the food was delicious and presented beautifully. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back.

We took my wife's mother here for dinner and she loved it. Which is good because we loved it too! I had the fish cakes to start followed by the slow cooked lamb. Both dishes were absolutely delicious 😋. The lamb simply melted in the mouth. Lovely ambience with the service attentive but not intrusive. If we lived in Swansea, we would be regulars here.

Halal options available. Very nice overall.

El Fuego is my favourite, the staff are very friendly ,great serves and the food is always delicious.

Conveniently located, large restaurant. We were there midweek so it was quiet. Sardines were nice. Paella was a disappointment.

Tonight I had the delighted experience to be taken here by family, I was visiting. It's the first visit but when I visit Swansea, there is no doubt in my mind I will return. I ate the best steak that I have eaten in the last twelve months. The meals we ordered were all excellent, the service faultless. This is a place to come if you want to enjoy a real good evening.

Lovely little restaurant , super helpful and attentive , friendly staff. Very reasonable prices , generous portions (I couldn't finish mine ) and the food was amazing . Highly recommend and would definitely come again . The set meal menu is incredible value for money.

It's our first time in Swansea and we feel very lucky to have found this lovely restaurant. The staff are friendly and attentive and the food we ordered from the Tapas menu was very tasty. Definitely worth a visit.

Great cozy place for multiple events. There's a rooftop for the summer and service was great throughout. Quick service to top it all off!

A place where I will definitely come back. We had set dinner and it was just amazing. The mussels with tomato sauce are the perfect starter, just ask for bread to “rebañarlo” in the sauce. Very tasty!! Then I had slow cooked beef ribs. Oh my goodness, great flavour and portions are generous. One of the things I like the most apart from the politeness of the waiters is that they do not rush you to leave and attend thr next table. Thank you very much We will see you soon

most underrated restaurant in Swansea. Very friendly and professional staff and service. Finely cooked mussels with amazing sauce 👍 had neck of lamb , delicately cooked of meat as well . Only comment was the lamb sauce was bit bit too salty.

Not what it says on the tin. Food medioca, quite a few dishes with the same sauce which was far too salty. Not very attentive service. Won’t be returning :(

Went here to celebrate a few birthdays, a group booking of 40 people. What a great experience we had!! We pre-ordered and when we arrived it was very organised. All food was boiling hot when served, good portions, plates cleared quickly. Couldn't fault them.

Good quality food with generous portion sizes. Set menu is good value for money. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Definitely recommend.

El Fuego clearly missing some fire.. unfortunately I felt more like I went to a pub diner than actual Spanish restaurant from the start, even booking a table there was a challenge as the staff all barely spoke English, we was greeted in a polite manner however the restaurant honestly was so loud it felt like we was in a weatherspoons we ordered the Tomahawk Steak which was good however we ordered medium rear but received rear and after asking they did get it there on second attempt I ordered Gnocchi with chicken in creamy sauce and the sauce was nice but chicken was over cooked and outer layer tasted like hard cardboard unfortunately. Oysters were very nice however but overall not great and definetly wouldt recommend this place to anyone. Slug and lettuce few minutes away you rather go there! p.s potato's no flavour at all so if you decide to go make sure not to get potato's!!

Very quiet when we visited, food was ok nothing special.

I ordered their beef medallions with a side of chips, as well as a chocolate cake for dessert. At first, the beef medallions were amazing, the sauce was rich, and the beef was cooked perfectly. However, I found that not all the beef was cooked the same, as some was more well done, even though I had asked for medium well, causing inconsistency. The chips were a great side to pair with, and they were cooked and portioned perfectly. The cake did not disappoint either; however, it was quite filling and thus hard to finish. Overall, for the price, the food was a little disappointing, and I would most likely not come here again.

Update: service not so good tonight. They took my partners food while he was still eating, we ordered a drink and it didn't come so had to ask again.... been here quite a few times, but our first poor experience.

😡😡 This is a first review for me, for somewhere I've never visited... Decided to go to this restaurant on the Saturday 6th January. Sent a request for a table on the 4th no response. Tried to call number not recognised? Actually visited on the 6th in person at advertised opening time 1pm. Looked very closed. No signage to advise of a closure due to holidays. No message on answerphone. Nothing on website. All Xmas decorations outside still in place. But restaurant seems deserted. If you can leave customers wondering when they can visit. You really don't deserve them. You've never seen me and now you never will. Good luck 🤞 your going to need it....😡 to survive this industry... 8th January now still not answering phone. Maybe closed forever who knows?

It was busy when I ate here which may have affected the quality or consistency of my food. The waiters were under pressure because of how busy it was but they were still accommodating and served us with bright faces which is respectable! I ordered the beef medallions with baby potatoes which were a +£2.50 supplement (because of the beef). The sauce was delicious but the level the medallions were cooked were inconsistent. I asked for medium well and one medallion was perfect but the other two were well done. It was slightly disappointing. What was more disappointing was seeing only 4 baby potatoes on my plate. Comparing the amount of ‘potato’ with my friends who got fries, they had more potato than me. Baby potatoes may cost slightly more than others but I think they should have at least matched the amount of potato given for every potato side. With the amount of food on this big plate, it doesn’t look like much at all. It would have been more presentable if the plate was smaller to match the amount of food. The dessert was nice but personally the cake got a little too much once I was nearing finishing it. Personally, I think decreasing the size of the cake a little bit and adding a bit more cream would make the dessert more enjoyable. The price overall was £26.50 (including the +£2.50 beef supplement). I think it is an okay price but it is unlikely that I will come here to eat again.

Taste of the food was pretty good. Couldn’t bring myself to eat the mashed potatoes though after watching the cook use his ungloved fingers to wipe the potatoes off of the spoon on to my plate….twice. Food marked down due to hygiene server was kind but we waited 20 min to get water and we were the only ones there.

Nice place and service. However there are few mussels in my order are truly bad and taste smelly. The drink and desserts are good as usual.

Excellent food, I eat everywhere and it's the best food I have had in a while! The only criticism, is that they seated another couple right next to us when the restaurant was empty.

The food was soo good. Had the mussels for appetiser and the fillet steaks for main . Soo good both of them . And the staff is so attentive and service fantastic. Highly recommend. Defo visiting again

Fabulous meal last night (5/8/2023). First visit to this lovely restaurant my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed. I had calamari to start followed by seafood paella and sautéed potatoes. My husband had the meatballs in tomato sauce followed by the slow cooked beef rib with crushed potatoes. I had no room for dessert but my husband had a cheesecake. Came tonight for our wedding anniversary meal. Bit gutted if I'm honest. An hour between each course. Had to keep asking for drinks. One waiter apologized for the slow service and offered free drinks which we ended up paying for. Ordered from the set menu. Ordered desserts at the very start with the starters and mains. We didn't get our desserts. Food was lovely but the service was so slow and unattended.i am a former restaurant manager and I'm always looking for holes in places I go. Unfortunately I didn't have to look far here. It was very unromantic for an anniversary meal,very very loud to the point we couldn't hear eachother speak. Unfortunately due to the slow service (which I can't really blame SOME of the staff) we will not be returning.

I had the pleasure of visiting EL Fuego and I was blown away by the quality of the food and exceptional service. The restaurants ambiance was also delightful, with traditional decor that transported you to Spain.

Expectations were high based on reviews, but it was pretty average. Food was OK, had to chase the team to get Service and more drinks etc. I would not rush to go back but would not avoid either it if friends wanted to go.

First time here, won't be the last !. Out with My partner, quickly greeted and seated by member of staff. Staff attentative even though place was pretty busy. Had a drink which wasn't stupid prices and ordered. I had muscles followed by lamb, partner had meatballs followed by chicken....food hot, tasty and sauces were fabulous ! There was one very noisy table of guys but guess everywhere has those at times. All in all, fabulous evening which didn't break the bank, well done all @ El Fuego 😀

This was specially good evening. Last night I revisited my time living in Andalucia... the reason being is that the menu,tastes, flavours, even the wine selection reminded me of an authentic Spanish cuisine experience. I would recommend highly the fishcakes aswell as the slow cooked beef rib. Fair price for a fair meal. Don't let the exterior fool you, it's worth a visit. Will definitely be going back.

Tasteless and the owner is unpleasant. The waiting staff seemed really nice, but it seemed like the owner was bullying then. Will not return

Absolute shambles. Booked a room for a celebration party, and asked if we can bring a dog before as she is a support dog for one of the guests. It is ILLEGAL to say no, considering she is a disability support dog. Two waiters said that this is fine to bring her in, the same about the manager, the owner said no when we tried to enter the building. Will not be coming back. On a side note. The food was bland and had no spice and we ended up eating outside whilst the people who booked us were in the room celebrating and eating. The waiting service was excellent, but the owner was absolute shambles. When approached about it, he started going on at a tangent saying that people were late to the party. The max delay time was 15 min. We had 17 ppl coming, no idea what universe he lives in to expect 17 adults after work to show up at the same time. Could sue them for discrimination at this point.

Awful experience from start to finish. Booked a table for 7pm and was told the restaurant was very full. Tried to seat us in a makeshift table, upstairs next to the toilets. Told them that the smell was off-putting and they said the only seats available were outside in the smoking area. Ordered food then 30 minutes later the same waiter came back and asked us to order again as they had lost the order. Still no food after 1.5 hrs and was eventually moved inside to the restaurant. Was not provided a steak knife after asking twice, was given the wrong bill and charged for the 'complementary' garlic bread. The food was ok but the standard of service was shockingly bad. The waiter said it was bad as there were a lot of students working there 'who don't know what they are doing'. Will not be returning.

We came for the first time not knowing too much about the place in terms of word of mouth. The food was fantastic, the staff were friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere straddled the line between a quality restaurant and a casual place to hang out perfectly. We will be visiting again.

A brilliant slice of the med in Swansea. Authentic dishes with a Spanish feel, the waiting staff are very attentive and the atmosphere is calm and enjoyable. Inclusion of Spanish music is a nice touch.

Went for a meal for our baby's 1st birthday as I little celebration, staff were absolutely fantastic with the baby and also the step daughter who has autism and adhd so if very fussy with her food, they took on our requests of how she likes her food and did her meal accordingly, food was amazing I had the welsh lamb chops with mash, will definitely ve going back in the future to try some other thing's on the menu

Great atmosphere. Loved the plants, flowers and music. Service was solid without out being too overbearing while eating. The Rib eye steak and lamb shank were had. Unexpected, but Interestingly spicy lamb shank. Not sure I preferred it over a more mild taste, but offered a difference. Food was plentiful and had a seat available last minute on a Saturday night.

What a beautiful place! Fab decorations and a big menu with lots of choice! Food was delicious and I would 100% come here again and try something else as everything looked great!

Absolutely amazing from start to finish, the mussels are to die for! The food is beautifully cooked every time and I cant seem to get enough of the place!! Big parties are always looked after, I had my baby shower here too and it was so stunning everyone was obsessed!! Cannot recommend this place enough. The price is so amazing too, especially when considering how much other restaurants are charging for the same food! The staff are so great and help in every single way possible!!

Left a lengthy trip advisor review. Probably won't return here. Staff pleasant enough and meals adequate but it wasn't what I expected. Dishes not available. Staff did not know what was on or off menu until after your ordered. Waitress stands over you while you you have to make a different order. Not asked for further drinks. Or asked if you'd like water for the table. Bar covered in glasses waiting to be cleaned. Change not given when we put notes on the receipt dish. We can only assume they tipped themselves. Overall underwhelming!

I ordered from the set lunch menu. Croquettas were light and crunchy and the salad leaves fresh. Couldn't fault it. Chicken main course was superb. Coffee great and service friendly and efficient. Best restaurant I've been to in Swansea.

Staff were very polite and friendly. The food great. However we were charged £68 for two lagers and four soft drinks. My partner paid the bill without checking and the waiter kept the receipt. We were the last customers in the restaurant and when we went to inquire about the excess charge they said their computer had shut down and they couldn't find our bill. It had been under three minutes since we paid so I can't understand how they couldn't find it. We got the money back in the end but the whole experience left us feeling that they were either very disorganized or had deliberately overcharged us. Whatever the case, we won't be returning.

7 of us went for a family meal out. We were seated promptly (we were the first ones in the restaurant) the staff were very pleasant and attentive. Our starters came out quickly and were great, the mains followed shortly and that's where we hit a bump in the road 3 of us ordered the lamb chops and unfortunately though the taste was lovely the fat on the chops was white and limp, if they had been flashed on the grill for a couple of minutes they would have been great and I'm sorry to say the main course of prawns was overcooked. We did tell the staff this, paid in full and left a generous tip. They apologized for the food and gave the children chocolate cake on the house. I had great expectations of the food and was slightly disappointed.

Couples night out, our 1st visit staff attentive service was very good and the food was very tasty, we both had the fishcakes to start, i had the medallions of beef with peppercorn sauce my husband had the neck of lamb with mash, we both really enjoyed. The reason for a 3 star for atmosphere is that there was a large group of about 12 who were very noisy, it would have been better to have been seated further away from them also it was rather chilly, kept my coat on the whole time. I am sure we will be back 😃

We booked a table of 10 on Valentine's Day. All of us ordered steak as a main and loads of different starters. I must say that all our steaks were cooked to perfection.Very decent portions of food . We wanted to personally thank the chef that cooked our food ,that not even in a steakhouse has been cooked like that. Thank you again Chef Florin,for the best steak experience in Swansea. A must go place in Swansea, definitely will come back again

I love the service at the place and the chef is so friendly with the guests and always takes care to offer the best quality! Outstanding meal here. I had the Sweet potatoes chickpeas tahini, Bell peppers and my colleague had the Paula Spanish , mushroom chicken with rice also sauted potatoes and new potatoes, test is outstanding. The staff does an amazing job of describing anything on the menu and the ambiance is very cool. Can’t wait to come back! I highly recommend this place
