Visited here with my husband, I'd asked for a table overlooking Minster Pool which was lovely. Exceptional service from Enja, who offered us advice on the menu list. Very professional and cheerful waitress. The food was very tasty and the wine chilled just how I like it. Recommend to all those who enjoy delicious food in a stunning restaurant.

First time tonight at 6:15pm for a table of 6, with my parents and family. A lad called Alex was brilliant, polite and friendly 👏 thanks Alex we will be returning.

When we arrived there was no one at the front desk. We waited 3 or 4 minutes and then continued to choose a table. As we did , we walked past a table of staff having a meeting and being very detrimental about the restaurant which wasn't great. We were then shouted at over the entire place to come back to the front when we were greeted by a woman who was very short with us and stated , have you got a booking if not this is a seated resteraunt in a very derogatory tone. We were seated and the waitress that took our orders was very nice and pleasant. The starters we had were mushrooms and pate and we had no complaints they were great. We both ordered the prawn and chilli linguine and that is where it went downhill. For the price being charged it had no flavour at all it was lukewarm and there was no chilli whatsoever. We rarely complain but it was poor and other reviews point towards the same. A shame as the starters were really good. But from the conversation we heard from the meeting being held infront of customers in the restaurant it was no surprise. Unlikely to return based on our experience but there's potential for a good restaurant. EDIT : Don't bother replying to the " please contact us response" waste of time they don't get back to you.

Changed my review from previous experience, We booked three weeks ago for my mother’s birthday. The system cancelled the booking and I was told there was nothing they could do. Was talked over rudely with an uncaring attitude. Disappointing

Visited Litchfield for a weekend and booked a table at EGO as it had many vegan options. Food was very good, staff very friendly (thank you Scarlett) and overall a lovely restaurant. Definitely recommend a visit 😊

Front of house staff and kitchen staff are excellent as ever.. but a workman is only as good as his or her tools and sadly Ego is compromised by M&B making below par cheap alterations to recipes.. now lacking everything that made ego great

Had another enjoyable experience at Ego Lichfield. Our waitress, Enja, looked after us very well - service not rushed at all. The food was all good. We love a day in Lichfield and late lunch at Ego is an essential part of that.

Courtnie made us feel welcome and relaxed on our first visit and explained food choices and drinks really well .Plenty of time given to appropriately choose .Regularly checked everything was fine throughout the evening by Courtnie and Izzy.Very attentive. Quality members of staff. Very busy and service was prompt of food delivery as we had a 16-18.00 hour table slot that worked fine ; as we went to Lichfield Cathedral for O07 James Bond orchestra of entertainment 1830hrs ; which was also fantastic and well organised. Friendly folk in Lichfield and a nice place to visit.Well done Lichfield District Council ; spotlessly clean City and lovely parks.

Really gorgeous place and very reasonably priced for Lichfield. The service was a bit slow but it was really busy!

Slow service. Missed the sugar syrup out of a spritz mojito making it unpalatable. Served a warm strawberry breeze. Steak requested as medium-well was burnt, inedible. Medium steak was medium well. Gave the wrong chips. Still charged full price despite meals not being eaten. Go to Mere Green if you want nice food.

Went on Mothers day with a gluten free party member, our waiter was Maddoe and she was great. It was perfect - everyone was clear on what had gluten and didn't, all the food was great for everyone. Never got too busy or noisy. 💯

We have been going to Ego’s for a number of years sometimes on our own sometimes with family. It is bright and airy situated in a lovely part of Lichfield overlooking the river. It’s not the best food in the world but it’s good and fairly priced. We were served this Sunday lunch by Anna who was great in spite of us turning up without a booking on a very busy day. Looking forward to the next time we are in Lichfield.

Overall a very pleasant experience, location views lovely, food tasty, service excellent, would recommend and definitely plan to return.

Frist and last time, I will ever enter this establishment Had a table booked waited such a long time for the starters and the main which had to go back The pork was so tough I couldn't get the knife through it was tild there was a 45 minute wait I went to the loo not one door could be suit toliet roll placed on the floor and not in the holder water all over the floor Spoke to management, and the floor was so slippy going into the restaurant... one lady had taken such a fall, and one of the front of the house just stood by and looked on like she didn't see it It is so outdated, table worn out and sticky cutlery dirty honestly I've never been to a restaurant in Lichfield in the fourteen years of living in Lichfield such a disappointing experience only gave it a one star because I had too

We were served by Anna who was an amazing waitress. Very professional, very friendly and made the whole experience a lovely one as it was for my sister‘s birthday. Nothing was too much trouble for her, and she was very quick always aware where we were with our meals. Unfortunately, we had to mark the food down a little as we had to send one of the dishes back. However, Anna dealt with it immediately and sorted out another dish for us. We had a lovely table overlooking the lake and I would definitely come back.

Visited Ego in Lichfield on Sunday 7th April. There were 10 in our party and we were there at a very busy time. Lovely table looking out on the river. Nice atmosphere and good food. We were looked after by Anna who was calm, attentive and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for her. Great afternoon.

Mass market catering - very disappointing. We waited ages for a paella whose rice had clearly been in a pot for a long time, and cod that tasted of - well, nothing really.

We had an amazing experience at Ego! The food was absolutely delicious—every dish was full of flavour and beautifully presented. A special shoutout to Maddie, who took such great care of us. Our server Molly was great, she was accommodating and lovely. The food came quick and was really nice.

I’ve eaten in Ego several times, as we love the location next to minster pool and the cathedral. The service is usually really good and staff always very friendly and accommodating. It’s just a shame the food is a bit average, we always make sure we have a discount voucher of some sort when we go as the quality of the food doesn’t match the prices they charge in my opinion (we always go off the main menu rather than set menus). It’s still a nice restaurant though and we’ll continue to use it.

The restaurant was exceptionally busy when we visited, however having booked we had a table reserved. There was quite a wait on the food ordered but this was explained at ordering and an apology provided by the lovely Anna. I can't applaud Anna enough, her customer service skills were exceptional as was her attitude. She is an asset to the restaurant. Anna couldn’t do enough for us and kept us appraised the whole time regarding our order. The food arrived and was hot. I wouldn't order what I had again, but that wasn't because of anything bad, just personal choice. Everyone enjoyed their food. The wait time was reflected in our bill by management. We had a thoroughly enjoyable evening and we would visit again. 😊
