Wow what a find this restaurant was. The food is superb. All the food is cooked on a charcoal grill at the rear of the restaurant. It is well cooked and presented. It tastes delicious. Staff are very welcoming and the service is very good. Prices are very reasonable. Highly recommended and a place I can't wait to go back to.

This is 2nd time we came as a family and we could’ve not been treated any better! Food was outstanding and the restaurant has such a homey environment. If I could give 1000 stars I would. Certainly will be back over and over again. Thank you so much. My dad could’ve not enjoyed his 45th birthday any more than he did. 10/10 for everything

The food was relatively good, but the customer service was appalling. We had not been there for more than 5 minutes before the waiter came to take our order. I replied that I was still deciding on what to eat because there were so many options. He shouted at me and said "after all this time, are you still thinking about what to eat?" He then left. The restaurant was not full. I went there after a long day at work. I don't appreciate being told off and shouted at. It was uncalled for.

Went over there from google research and love for Turkish cousin. When we walked in we could smell damp which was in time covered by cooked food. Tiny place which gives family business feeling which is very lovely. We were welcomed straight away and given the choice of a table. Ordered one bottle of Turkish wine which hit our spots, very mild and not dry. We had meze starters which were very good but not enough bread and some of the meze were bland- lacking flavors. Main course arrived with cold rice and sauce which is a huge minus but meat was proper temperature, cooked perfectly, nice and tender. Whole dish lacked spices, flavor, I found it pretty bland from Turkish flavors. There were 3 men on the floor serving to customers and the bar- when they got busy, they were struggling with paying enough attention. We asked for a bill and once delivered, we had to put the hand up to get attention to pay. Another spot- Turkish tea made from electric kettle and tea bag dipped in and out ( for another customer).

A lovely evening with friends here at Efes. Staff were friendly and helpful. Quick service and the food was superb. Overall a fantastic experience and will definitely return.

We were very lucky to find this. We decided to explore Cambridge and try somewhere we found on our travels. We couldn't have asked for more! The service, ambience and food were great and the Turkish wine was a real discovery.

There aren’t enough words to do Efe’s justice. We’re always on the hunt for a good Turkish and this one just surpassed all exceptions. Firstly, there’s street parking right outside the restaurant (free after 6:30pm). As soon as we entered we were swiftly greeted by a lovely man and sat. Menus were brought out very quickly and we were asked for a drinks order. We went for the “set menu”, the food was absolutely incredible. Very reasonably priced for the quality of food and it being Cambridge. Cambridge is lucky to have Efes! The food is cooked on an open grill which is a great view! Even though Efe’s became full very quickly after opening time, all staff were still attentive and wonderful. What a truly delightful experience. Can’t wait to go back and try some more items on the menu

The best Turkish restaurant around the Cambridge area with a superb quality that has not changed a bit in many years. The service is great and the food is wonderful, I'd give them a 6 out of 5.🙃

This place is as good as it gets as far as Turkish food outside of Türkiye. Grab the Kofte Kebab with some smaller items as it's the best thing on the menu. They have a 28 pound deal of an app, a kebab desert and coffee, worth at least one person grabbing for the table to try as apart of any trip.

Ordered online for delivery. Efes (in my opinion) is the best Turkish restaurant in Cambridge. Ive eaten at this restaurant for a long time now. Food is always good. Portions for mains are a reasonable size. This particular delivery I chose Adana kebab. This was much spicier than the previous times that I've ordered it. Meat was nicely cooked, abit too over seasoned/spiced this particular time. However this was just personal opinion/preference. Price has always been fairly expensive especially if you're ordering a delivery and factor in service charges and delivery costs. However you're getting a quality meal compared to alot of places in the city. Would (and always do) recommend Efes.

Service was absolutely super fast. We came to the restaurant and explained to the staff we don’t really have time. They have served food for us really quick. They put us in a priority list and served us first, even to know there were other people who were waiting to be served. I took lamb liver. I can’t say I was really excited, but the food was delicious. I am sure all the rest food is even better. Highly recommend.

It is a really good restaurant in Cambridge. The food is good and well served. Real mediterranean food. The waiter was really friendly and that is always a pleasure to find in a restaurant. So I really recommend this place. 👍🏼

Really nice place! It reminds me of our traditional taverns in Greece! The meat was excellent and perfectly cooked! The starters and the desert were equally delicious!

Wow. I've experienced efes before but it was takeaway. I've just left after my first dine in experience and it was faultless. Service was impeccable and friendly. Food was exceptional, in particular, the swordfish made me feel like I could of been on a beach somewhere in the Mediterranean. The value for money is unrivaled and within 25 minutes we'd had our starters and been served our mains. I could not possibly rate this place any higher. Thanks for such a lovely dining experience and I look forward to coming back soon

Really enjoyed the food and service. Very warm welcome, the restaurant staff are very friendly, even the chef made a fuss of our 8yo son. Which pleased him no end. Food was very tasty, will definitely return

Lovely Turkish restaurant with tasty food and friendly staff. I had the Hummus to start and the spicy Adena kebab for main. Both were excellent. Even the rice with the kebab was impressive. Will definitely be returning next time I am in Cambridge.

Lovely fresh food, attentive, efficient staff. Reasonably priced for central Cambridge. It is a very compact restaurant but this added to the atmosphere.

Simply fantastic! Faultless from start to finish, we absolutely loved it. The staff are so friendly and warm, and the place itself is buzzy, cosy and unpretentious. Delicious chargrilled food, well priced. Very generous portions too. We were weekend visitors to Cambridge and don't live locally, otherwise we would definitely go there all the time. Genuinely one of the best restaurant experiences we've had anywhere. Brilliant!

Found this little gem on a visit to Cambridge. Absolutely delicious food, great service and welcoming atmosphere. Good to be able to see the food being cooked fresh. This will be our lunch venue every time we visit in future.

My wife and I were visiting for the day in Cambridge. We came across this place randomly and suited to our needs of halal.menu. We was placed near the window seat and had some starters of Humous, Breads, and a courgette tomatoe dish. It was ok, Humble cooked food. It was a good experience overall, and the staff were very friendly and reasonably prompt to help. Worth a visit to experince it.

Terrible meals. They serve stale rice and baklava. We ordered Halep kebab but it was like Halep soup. The food was floating in sauce. I'm embarrassed for my guests.

Good was really nice. I'm Greek so love meat done over coals, and it was gorgeous. We had 5 set menus and they combined them in to dishes for the table, something I'm used to with a meze. The service was pretty decent, nothing really to complain about there. The only letdown was that is felt quite cramped when it was full (good sign of the quality of food)

We during the daytime for a lunch meal, and I can safely say we were not disappointed the service was good the food was excellent and we all left very full. We had starters, mains and pudding, and all of them were very generous portions. For the starter we had two, one person's Meze and an extra portion of Liver and Borek. Mains were three portions of lamb cutlets and one portion on Kofta. Pudding were baklarvi and coffees. All of the food was very good quality and the lamb cutlets were of a superb quality. I would recommend this restaurant to anybody it is not all that cheap £35 a person including drinks but you get what you pay for these days!.

From the minute we went through the door the ambiance got us and the attentiveness of the staff set the tone for the rest of the evening. So friendly and helpful. I wanted the set menu but I also wanted to try the kidney so the waiter sorted it so I could have kidneys incorporated into the meze. Everything was beautifully cooked. We chose the most expensive Turkish wine and we're glad we did because it was wonderful. The baklava and fruit was a lovely ending to the meal as was the coffee . All in all a really lovely meal with wonderful attentive service. Why did we wait so long? We will return... Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5

A very genuine Turkish restaurant with fantastic staff. The restaurant had many Turkish diners which is always a good sign. The food was excellent and we even sampled a bottle of Turkish wine - lovely. We will be back here if we come to Cambridge again

We went to this restaurant a few weeks ago. The reason we went into this restaurant is because we thought it was the same as the Efes brand in London. Looks like they've just copied their name. The interior decor was dated and boring. Tables are tiny. Plates served were literally tiny saucers. Food smelt good as they prepared it but looked terrible plated. I'm not hard to please and I found the food to be below par. The male waiter seemed like he couldn't be bothered and didn't smile once, felt like is being there was a burden on him even though the restaurant was only 25% full if that. Pricing was way too high for the quality and quantity of food. Limited options on the menu. We actually had to go to the fast food shop 2 doors away from them as soon as we left their restaurant, which says it all!

Ordered lamb cutlet it was the best decision ever? I mean, look at the photo😍😍😍 One of the best lamb cutlet I’ve ever had. My friend ordered lamb kofta and she love them too! Best halal food experience in Cambridge! The walk from Pembroke bust stop is about 1-2km and really recommend this place especially for those hunting halal food. Better to book in advance to ensure you secure seats. We did not book but lucky enough to have a table fir 5 of us, but the place was packed at that moment. Staff were all very alert & friendly I love this place.

Rude staff. Hard to get time for date nights and they had ruined my evening. To be aggressive and intimidating to a women half their size is just weird. Won't be returning. enjoy your low star, you deserve it :)

Extremely rude staff, told us they couldnt accommodate my disabled sons pushchair didnt even offer a child seat or even an apology, just straight no and walked away. Absolutely disgusting manners!

The staffs are lovely and dare to make jokes with you.. don't take it to heart and enjoy it as part of the experience. Foods are crazy good and portion size is a no joke. There were 6 of us and we just ordered 5 meal platters, and still couldn't finish it. The meal platters consist of starters, main course (mixed meat with rice and breads), salads, fruits platters, dessert, and coffee or tea of choice. The rice was drenched in the meat juice, making it even more gorgeous. Definitely a recommended place in Cambridge.

We have been customers of this place for years, went out again last night and had a great meal. The mixed grill and the kofta are the best in Cambridge, consistent with quality which is rare nowadays. Bill was reasonable taking into consideration the price of food is still going up, will definitely visit again.

It was quick and easy to book a table here. On arrival, we were greeted warmly by the waiters and they didn’t mind that some members of our party were running a bit late. We ordered the Yogurtlu and Halep kebabs - the meat was lovely and moist, and everything came in generous portions. Would definitely eat here again!

A great restaurant with really friendly helpful staff. Catered well for a gluten free vegetarian with a vegetarian kebab and the best tasting rice. The lamb my partner ordered was cooked perfectly. Enjoyed nice wine and a really good atmosphere. Would definitely return here again. Also great we could get a table easily without booking in advance for a Sunday night.

Rude from the start, asked how long for a res for 5 and the waiter said 1.5 hours, when I confirmed with the family, he waved his arms and gave me a look of distain as he cried out "I'm fully booked, I'm not doing anything" embarrassing myself and my family in a restaurant full of people. If you're not available to host a family of 5, quietly let me know and I'll be on my way, but giving 2 answers in 15 seconds and shouting at me like I swore at his mother was not the way to deal with this situation.
