Lovely restaurant very clean .And wonderful staff would recomend to anyone .My very first eating Turkish food delious

Ist time, midweek meal at the Lara in Walton-on-the-Naze. Outstanding food, the garlic mushrooms especially were marvellous, and the kids chicken and chips was well received. Lovely dining atmosphere and the Staff were very friendly too. Highly recommended.

Popped in on a trip out to the coast & was amazed at the quality & standard for a small provincial restaurant. Everything was spot on! - The food was fresh, perfectly cooked, very well presented & of a high quality. The young lady serving us was pleasant & extremely efficient. Living close to London I've been to a few Turkish/Greek "Shish" restaurants but this was by far the best & probably the cheapest. Very impressed & will return. One point of note, I think the restaurant has changed its name now owing to confusion with another establishment. It's now called "The Lara." 👍

As usual had the best meal, food is amazing and service outstanding, highly recommend this restaurant, friendly & our favourite place to eat, thank you Yusef, Natalia & all the staff, fabulous job.

One of the best Turkish restaurants and this is coming from someone who's eaten at a lot of Turkish restaurants. Would definitely recommend. Lamb kofta was amazing.

Lovely food relaxed atmosphere! I’ve been to a few Turkish restaurants and the food here was excellent! Nice sized portions tender grilled meats salad was beautifully seasoned and the bread and dips were delicious! We will be back!

Amazing food and beautiful restaurant. Cold Meze starter had lots of variety, we also had olives that were gorgeous and presented beautifully. The shish kebab was delicious, and the lamb shank was enormous! Definitely visit!

Found the Lara when searching around for a special meal for my husband’s birthday. The food was excellent and the service very good. A really lovely atmosphere with couples, friends and family groups. There doesn’t seem to be lots of places to eat in the area but this restaurant fits the bill and is well worth a drive.

Fantastic food and good portions - we probably should not have ordered starters, especially as you got free bread too! Lots of choice and happy to explain dishes, as well as "slightly tinker" a dish if requested (I struggle with garlic). Friendly, jolly staff. Nice decor. Good value for money

Popped in on a Friday without booking and they managed to fit us in. Staff were really friendly and attentive. Food was delicious and really big portions. Will definitely recommend and will be back to try it again.

Walton-on-the-Naze is too small and too remote a town to support a wide range of quality restaurants, so the selection at dinner can be quite limited. That made the discovery of this EXCELLENT Turkish restaurant all the more pleasurable. We had plates of mixed cold and hot meze, and a seprate dish of grilled tiger prawns. All the food was very tasty, super fresh, and expertly made. Indeed, it was the best Turkish cuisine we have had in the UK, and even better than some of the famous restaurants in north London. The service was also friendly and efficient. I only wish we lived locally!

Second time to Lara’s (as it’s now called). The food is fantastic, really delicious and the service was prompt and friendly,, loved the warm bread and dips which are complimentary and nice to nibble on whilst waiting for our mains .
