Pizza was to die for, freshly made and delish. Souvlaki was super tender.the staff were all friendly and helpful. Would recommend this little gem of a restaurant

Had a great dinner! Food takes long to be served, but well worth the wait because it's cooked to perfection. Meat is really tender and juicy! staff are also very accomodating! will defo come back! 💯

Massively over priced for what is the laziest excuse for a Turkish kebab. £8 for “loaded fries” which consisted of a sprinkle of brunt cheese on about 15 chips (which came and were finished before our mains arrived).

Terrible experience! Completely forgot my son’s order. Had to wait for 45 minutes till we got his food. And the attender did not even apologize for the delay! Definitely not coming here again.

Ordered a pizza & cheesy chips for my partner and I on a day out. The chips were fine but the pizza was so dry, I could of used it as sandpaper if I wanted to. The staff was polite and the atmosphere was otherwise quite pleasant.

Really good food here. Lovely and clean, great service and very reasonable prices. Less than most towns and it is seaside. Had a ribeye steak which was cooked to perfection. Everything 5 star. Well done.

Pepperoni Pizza was delicious me and my partner shared it with chips. It was plenty of food. Not bad price for what you get. They had decorations up for valentines day which I thought was cute.

I went to Empire for our works Christmas meal. It was fantastic. They do an amazing Salmon roast dinner. I asked for yorkshire puddings to go with it and they obliged straight away. Amazing cocktails. Great food and service. I will be visiting again soon.

My other half and I had the nicest Caesar salad either of us had ever had the pleasure of consuming. The value for money and friendliness of the staff are the only things that compare to the quality and flavour of the food. Only disappointment is I couldn’t give a sixth star!

Booked as a very last minute thing on a Friday night. Chef was very accommodating to my friends special requirements. Cocktails were lovely and food was amazing. Would definitely recommend!

Had to edit 5* review visited this place 1 year later and they have a new chef. Calzone is awful garlic sauce is now some generic mint garlic sauce. Traveled an hour just to come here. Staff were friendly but sadly won’t be back.

I thought I'd avail myself of the lunchtime two courses for £12.95. The hummus starter with grilled flatbread was nice. The main, an Adana kebab, not so much. It was very dry, bland and severely lacked seasoning. The rice too had not been seasoned. The waitress was good at first. Speedy, friendly and attentive. I tried to get her attention quite a few times to get another beer, but gave up in the end. I had somehow turned invisible. Would I eat there again? No.

Having a Turkish Mrs I know a thing or two about Turkish food, empire BBQ is up there with some of the worst food I have ever eaten. I ordered a kebab and the meat was dry and chewy. The salad was mostly all tomato and cucumber and the ribs were fatty and smelt funny. I also ordered the meat calzone and the salam they use created a river of red grease leaving the base soggy and the pizza inedible. I ended up throwing most of it in the bin. What a waste of £40 never again.

Came here for a spot of lunch and got a Pepperoni and Ham & Mushroom Pizza, Cheesy Garlic Bread, chips, and drinks. Came to £40 which was very reasonable given the portion sizes. The food was made from scratch and was delicious. Staff were very nice and we will be back.

Been here 3 times now. The foods always fresh and home cooked!!! Burgers are beautiful especially at buy one get one free. The staff are lovely. So far I've had 3 different burgers and a pizza. All are well worth the money. Much better than spoons. Next review will be on the kebab which i saw while eating today I will be back this week to try. Defo recommend.

Hi came here with family food was okay average staff mainly 1 lady. Was not bad. No ambiance no music cold and the plates were very small size good falls off the plate could do with slightly larger plates. Would not rush to go back

Had high hopes for this place as I'd previously ordered delivery and it was lovely. However, the in house experience didn't match at all. Food £11 for hummus and 6 bits of falafel ("main")... no rice/cous cous like other restaurants. Stale bread. Chicken burger was slap and dash. Drinks Me and my partner only managed to get 1 drink each the time we were there. Daiquiri is mediocre and the Dead Man's Chest is lethal 🤣 Service The poor waitress was left on her own to serve the whole restaurant and was running around constantly. No greet at the door or check up at the table. Not her fault though, she was lovely and doing a fab job still. 2 stars, 1 for drinks and 1 for the waitress.

We had a meal here the other night and was very impressed overall with this restaurant. The food was full of flavour and the staff were very friendly. We was a big fan of the style which was like a beach hut type theme. The hostess/waitress was in particular very friendly and chatty and was a credit to the place. I hope to see them do very well in future. Will definitely be returning in the near future. Clacton has needed a place like this for a while.

AVOID . No plates brought to us for entire meal despite reminders .Appalling staff with zero health and safety awareness alongside being snarky. In particular the girl with brown hair , calling customers “ silly “ for asking a question regarding not having plates , despite us spending around £140 for a family dinner of 7. First of all, I am lactose intolerant and do not recommend this place to any one who has any dietary requirements etc vegan , nut allergy or lactose intolerant. I requested a coffee that was dairy free AND told them I’m lactose intolerant. They had no dairy free options , fine , not a big deal . HOWEVER , no alternative allergen menu was brought to me , and their regular menu doesn’t show allergens / gluten free or not or if it’s vegetarian. Serious issue here with health and safety . We also ordered calamari rings as a starter with a creamy sauce containing dairy , and no alternative was brought to me . They could have just brought ketchup ! This just shows a lack of care from the staff as a quick fix here was available.When I asked a waitress about it and the fact I couldn’t eat it , she said “ well you don’t have to eat it then “. Then , it continues going down hill . We ordered a set platter 1 and 2 which did arrive promptly . However , no , plates . NO PLATES . We requested from 2 different waitresses for plates , who walked off and then became absorbed in conversation with themselves and throughout our entire meal did not bring us plates . We began serving ourselves meat and salad onto napkins from the platter . Multiple staff also walked past our table later / glanced and for some reason not one thought to bring plates . If you want to eat on napkins and be ignored , then this is the place . To note , the place wasn’t even busy / full, so I have no idea how you forget to bring something as crucial as plates . Lastly , vERY rude waitress with brown hair . Upon finishing , we asked her about plate situation. Began kissing her teeth, smirking and being overall rude . Avoid !

Service could have been better guess it was due to staff shortage. Ordered the below King prawn starters - Average Lamb kebab mains - Could have been good with better portion size of rice. Chicken kebab mains - Same as above, pieces felt a bit tough and dry Unfortunately they dont offer complimentary tap water unless you buy from their drinks menu 😕.

It was an amazing dining experience. The waitress was very helpful and friendly and suggested us the best good and drinks since we were really confused what to eat and drink. The food was so great although you'll have to wait a bit for the food because it will brought to you freshly cooked and it was definitely worth the wait.

The food was very tasty and I would recommend the pĺace. We had chicken wings and a lamb dish so top marks for that. It was very cold in the restaurant - perhaps the heating was broken. Maybe a tealight on the table or something would have help warm the place up a bit?? We had to wait a fair while for the food. I know they were busy (probably everyone was going to the same event that we were). The waitress was very friendly and helpful. It would have been nice to be asked for more drinks especially when waiting so long for food. Good luck to this restaurant. I hope they do well.

Ordered a burger meal, the burger was dripping with fat/oil, as I picked the burger up it just fell apart as it was really soggy. Absolutely disgusting and will not be returning. Would not even get 1 star but had to put something.

Great place to eat! The food was lovely and tasty. The soft drinks are refillable which is always great value for money. The waitress was lovely and helpful to be honest this place would have gotten 4 stars if not for her. During my whole stay at clacton not one person seemed to deliver good customer service like herself! The prices for the dish that I had seemed to be a little steep but it is in line with everything else around that area especially for the amount of food I had on the plate! Would recommend this place 👌🏾👌🏾

Went here tonight for our anniversary with family. 4 adults and 5 children. We all ate til we were stuffed. Thoroughly enjoyed every morsel. The refillable drinks were great for us too and the cocktails well made. We were served by Grace who was superb, very efficient and attentive. Only downside was the waiting time for the food, which was all served at once including starters, hence 4 stars.

Ate here with the family on 4th August. The service from the waitresses was excellent but the food was not. I was also served chicken shish on a bed of cubed bread instead of the sauted chicken with mushrooms, onions etc with rice. When I pointed out the error I was brought a bowl of dry short grain rice with beansprouts. The chicken shish was £4 cheaper but I was still charged £14.99 for the meal I didn't get. The children did not enjoy their food and I would say the calamari and chicken were overcooked and dry. I paid but will not return compliments not for the chef.

The food here is very good. Lamascun, kofte and chops excellent. Good coffee. Service very good. Recommended.

We went here as the Greek taverna was full and we are so happy we did. the food was incredible and tasty and also very good value for money. The young lady serving us was fantastic and it had a very friendly and relaxed feeling to the place. we had gone to the Greek restaurant earlier in our stay and found this miles better. would 100% recommend, would love to go back !
