Grabbed a takeaway for dinner with my family just after arriving in Birmingham for an Easter Break. Tasty chicken (Korma and Makhni) and lamb (Pasander) curries and tasty Peshwari Naan and Pakora.

Great restaurant, good choice of food and drinks available. Clean, well decorated and stylish too. Great service, fast delivery and nice portion sizes too. Ample seating, and can have secluded seeing if you want as well Worth visiting and giving it a try.

Food was good - wide selection. Service was slow and the staff were quite rude. Nice decor, plenty of alcoholic drinks to choose from but not much for non-drinkers. Would have been 4 stars if the staff were polite and helpful.

Amazing food at Celebrity Restaurant! The Paneer Shashlik and Naga Wings were flavorful starters. The mains—Balti Paneer Tikka, Tandoori King Prawn Masala, and Tandoori Chicken Tawa—were perfectly cooked. Highly recommend!

The location is central, service is ok but the food is very basic. No wonder did not see any south Asian diners here. Would not recommend.

From other reviews we thought this place would be good but unfortunately were very much disappointed. First impressions were good with nice setting and music but then it went downhill quickly. Serving staff just mumbled at us and weren't particularly attentive. The starters were dry and boring. Main course was a bit better but the spice levels didn't match what it said in the menu (too spicy/mild respectively)

Despite a recommendation, food was bland, cold and took an inordinate amount of time to arrive. 2.5hrs in total in restaurant Staff more concerned with maximising bar bill Starter was very good Main course was cold, bland and very small portion size. I'm a big dude, but shouldn't come away still hungry, especially considering I spent £30 on food alone

Picked up a take away which was supposed to be a Chicken Tika Masala. It's the worst we've had in 30 years. This was watery and tasteless with no proper colour. Rice ok popadom ok and nan ok.

Beautiful food ,went early before a show so plenty of room ,big portions and a lovely hot curry ,staff very friendly will return on next visit to Birmingham,second visit oct 2024 ,outstanding food once again ,highly recommend👍

Undercooked Bhindis, average prawn biriyani served with God forsaken undercooked side made with frozen mixed vegetables cooked perfectly to imperfection and rotis partly made with cement or plaster of paris flour to ensure they are difficult to tear! Experience from a delivery!

Loved everything about Celebrity, so much so we came back two days later. Highly recommend Celebrity. Have eaten in many Indian Restaurants and have traditional Indian food cooked by our colleagues at work. Celebrity gives authentic Indian cuisine.

The service was quick and professional, I was catered to and made to feel very comfortable. I had tried some appetisers and a chicken curry. The seasoning, garnish and textures would beautiful. Worst ever , never go worst taste and worst service ever I had main course dishes saag panner and aloo gobi (no taste ) , veg tali starter( too salty onion baji coloured panner ) and naan (over burnt)

Very disappointed with this restaurant. Negative attitude by the waiter. No courtsey even to check before clearing the plates. Will never visit again To followup with their response: My concern is not with the portion of the food. And its up to me what to eat and what to not eat. Kindly dont expect the customer to order more dishes when the staff show case a poor customer experienceYou still did not address the bad behaviour and attitude shown by your staff.

Fantastic food, brilliant location, amazing host! Visited here not too long ago after a nice day in Birmingham. There was 5 of us and we all left satisfied, special shout out to the waiter who was very funny and kept us entertained!

Terrible restaurant terrible service did not even get a chance to try food because the staff had an attitude and said you have to order at least 3 main course when there was not enough people to finish 3 main courses and said either you order 3 or get out we walked out and kept talking. Terrible restaurant 0/10. Staff started screaming at a 14 year old and all members came and were ready to fight. Don’t recommend. Rather go to McDonald’s… never recommended to go with the family… don’t recommend going at all to be frank To follow up with their response: I think you should let your costumers decide what is sufficient for them instead of telling us how much we need to eat. Preposterous behaviour by staff… would prefer to stay hungry then to eat there again. Would not recommend

Food portion was very very less compared to the price...and Puree with prawn dish was just a joke...we got irritated and ordered a chips which was unsalted and bland...the waiter is least bothered/unprofessional in serving or taking order...no second visit

Greeted with no manners by any of the staff. Eager to get you in and get you out. Meals thrown on the table and cutlery dropped on table like we were dogs being fed our dinner. Comes to the bill and they try drop in a £20 service charge. When queried without hesitation the bloke says “I’ve waived it” how many people who might be drunk are they doing that to who actually question it? Not great and won’t be back

Booked the private room for a business dinner. Very helpful staff during booking process. Good sized room was perfect for our meeting. Staff were attentive without being intrusive. Very good value with generous portions on the banquet menu at £29.95. Catered for halal requirement of many guests.

I went in fairly early to go takeaway, the waiter was very welcoming. The chef brought my takeaway out for me which I’ve now eaten and it was excellent.

My visit to Celebrity Indian Restaurant left me with mixed feelings. While the ambiance and location were pleasant, the food failed to impress. I was part of a bigger group and we ordered everything in advance. So much confusion among staff bringing wrong dishes out. Once it came out it was good, tasty and well presented.

Absolutely shocking service. Sat for 20mins without anyone asking if we wanted a drink. Then when I questioned this was accused of being aggressive. Avoid this place like the plague. Awful attitude. Can't comment on the food as we never got that far. Don't think we were all male. I was with my wife and her friend. Update following the response below. I regret to say that my recent dining experience at Celebrity Indian restaurant in Birmingham Broad St was utterly disappointing. The customer service was shockingly poor; the waiter exhibited an unfriendly demeanor and lacked professionalism throughout the entire time we were there. First of all he didn't attend us for so long despite many attempts to call him . As if that wasn't enough, the comment made as we were leaving was utterly disgusting. The waiter had the audacity to imply that we were unable to afford the food, saying "is it too costly for you people?" as if we were beggars. Needless to say, I will not be recommending this restaurant to anyone. The entire experience left me feeling utterly disheartened.

Saw the sign outside advertising for a happy hour until 7pm on any day, once inside at just after 5, we were told that they don’t have that deal, ordered food in a half empty restaurant and was left for nearly two hour, even had to chance the staff and ask for another drink in that time, which didn’t arrive for another 30 minutes, staff were just not bothered, when the food eventually arrived, it was dumped on the table and the waiters again disappeared, they were too busy wandering in and out avoiding customers, the food was Luke warm like it had been sat on the side for a while, I asked for lamb and by the time the waiters had got out of site again, I realised it was chicken, really disappointing for Birmingham as they usually pride themselves on being the best for Indian cuisine. This view was echoed by the couple sitting near us too.

Our party of five were the only people in the restaurant, which is a real shame as the food and the service were faultless. No base sauces here. All dishes were served piping hot and were of the highest standard. We all had the budget menu... three courses for £20 and all commented on the quality and value. We will definitely be visiting again. WELL DONE!

Held a birthday meal here, and honestly it was second to none! The food was complimented by everyone and was absolutely unreal. The service was brilliant, and nothing was too much of an ask for the staff. Everyone who attended will definitely be returning. The best curry house in birmingham!

The service from the team was friendly but they tried to add extra drinks on to account for the discount we got using Gourmet Society card which I felt was naughty and a good thing we checked also. Decor is modern and bright inside and food quality was excellent. I would consider visiting again.

Visited Celebrity Restaurant as we wanted something a little different for a family birthday and didn’t want to go to the typical local places. What a hidden gem this is for anyone who isn’t familiar with Birmingham City Centre. The food was absolutely spot on, service with incredible with anything we needed catered for at an instant not to mention the owners Anhu and Talha who gave us their recommendation of Lamb Achari to try. So glad we come across this place and we will definitely be returning. Happy new year to the team 😌

After a long day perusing the German Market with a life long friend we eventually settled down at the Celebrity Indian Restaurant. The staff were attentive but not over powering, the food however was out of this world. The fresh Nann bread was warm and tasty, the Chicken Tikka Machani was outstanding whilst accompanied with a beautifully seasoned Keema Pilau rice. The whole experience was outstanding.

My husband and I visited on Saturday eve and we won’t be going again . The service was terrible . The waiter came with our food balancing on each plate so that didn’t bode well ! . No one came over to see if we were ok with the food given at any point and the waiters were very moody . The food was edible but not great . The whole place was very dreary and quiet … strange for a sat eve . More effort is definitely needed here .

Dined here last night with my husband, lovely views and delicious meal. We had the aloo&Mushroom balls and my husband had the Prawn puree for starters. Such good vibes and presentation was impressive. For mains we had the Lamb Karahi and Chilli Garlic dish reccomended by the staff. Really kind staff and service was attentive at all times. For a busy saturday evening, they managed to mark up wit all around. The ambience and settings were beautiful, look forward to coming again.

The best curry I've had for a while, the mushroom dhansak and garlic naan were delicious! Good friendly service and a nice restaurant, it was a little quiet when we first got there around 9pm but started filling up from 10pm.

Kind of understood from the pretentious name that the restaurant would be horrible but still thought to give it a try! The food is utterly disgusting and on top of that they mixed two starters without even notifying us! The worst of all was the behaviour of the server, I dont understand where the arrogance comes from.

Nice food, but don’t go if it’s 32 degrees outside - it was hot hot hot! Service was a bit poor, but they did have lots of big groups in, avoid the Jack Rabbit rose based on my colleagues feedback!!!

Popped in Saturday at 2300 on the off chance of a table for two As the person outside dressed up and handing out leaflets beckoned us in Waited 5 mins upstairs until someone came over I asked for a table only to be told they couldn’t as they had a large party coming in Well that’s fair enough but as I looked around I could see plenty of empty tables and you weren’t rushed off your feet and why ask people in from outside? I just think the chap couldn’t be arsed to seat us I won’t bother visiting again
