Quiet restaurant for any occasion, fast service but not rushed. Warm hospitality from management and staff. The menu respects the Sardinian tradition, plus truffle specials. Excellent malloreddus, whereas the seadas cheesy core was spoiled by excessive mandarin/orange; Guttiau bread is not pre-packed but lacked salt (some rosemary seasoning on top). Prices are in line with this prime district, pasta plus meat/fish main course is recommended, bill per head will then be £60 on average including service, more with wine.

Booked a table and drove across London for 10:30pm. When we arrived we were told the kitchen is closed, I showed the open table booking and the man just laughed and said “we have no chef.” Completely understand that every night is different with closing times but really didn’t like how we were treated, especially as I’m a host myself and I wouldn’t speak to a guest like that..

Edera used to be a good Italian restaurant but, if our recent experience is representative, it seems to have lost the plot. My wife had a stodgy risotto and the lemon taste completely overwhelmef and ruined my seafood pasta. Staff showed little savoir faire. They clearly knew we had a bad experience, but were happy to cash in on £100 (without wine). We will not be coming back.

I was so delighted when I was looking for restaurants for our wedding anniversary near Holland Park to discover there was a Sardinian one close by. We got married in Sardinia so it was a sign! Whilst we thoroughly enjoyed our meal, I couldn’t give it the full 5 stars so I shall explain. Pros:- The food was fresh, tasty and looked gorgeous. The service from all our waiting staff that served us was friendly, attentive and excellent. I spotted the traditional Sardinian bread on another table which we hadn’t ordered and when I asked if it was “carta di musica”, the waiter immediately responded and got us a basket. We also ordered a special dish as a treat which has a bit of theatre to it as the fish is baked in a fennel and salt crust and then brought to the table still encased to be opened. This was absolutely delicious. Cons:- It is on the pricier end of things which is expected for the area of Kensington and Chelsea borough. Our event was in Holland Park so we were looking for somewhere close rather than deliberately coming to the area to eat. Had we left 30 minutes earlier, I would have said this was an amazing eating experience. Unfortunately, near the end of our meal, the owner arrived and proceeded to teach one of the staff how to carry plates in full view of the diners. When we arrived the restaurant had been empty and this could have been done beforehand. It was also done in English when the staff had all been conversing with each other in Italian before so it felt this was done to be deliberately embarrassing. The owner made it clear that they could teach them but that if they did not manage to do it they would not be able to continue working there. We left making sure to thank that member of staff personally. It was still brilliant food but the owner’s attitude certainly put us off a bit.

The Italian food at Elders is fantastic. The starters are lovely, and of mains are delicious - I particularly like pappardelle with ragu, and the seabass. Having visited Elders regularly over the last few years, I'd always regarded their tiramisu as utterly exceptional and better than almost any I'd had anywhere in Italy. Sadly, on my last visit, the last tiramisu I had here was rather sub-standard - it was dry, devoid of coffee or marsala flavours, and instead of being set, it was very runny. Hopefully they'll go back to their usual recipe, as it was worth a visit here alone. Otherwise, the service, atmosphere, lighting, and especially the wine list are all very good and in line with what you'd expect at this price.

We both felt dubious upon entering, as the place was completely empty at 19.05, but this proved to be unfounded as shortly afterwards the restaurant began to slowly fill up. The service was friendly and helpful with the wine suggestions; this was welcome since my wife and I have opposite tastes. For starters, my dear one chose the Melanzane Parmigiana, which she absolutely loved (so much in fact that she mopped it up with the fresh bread we were given as an appetiser). I chose the Salumi, which was simply delicious. For the main event my darling chose the Fregola Sarda (langoustines in risotto with tomatoes and saffron). Needless to say that went down well with her cool glass of Iselis - a fruity Nasco from Sardinia. My choice was a simple one - the Saltinbocca (fillets of veal with buttery mashed potatoes - but just the job, washed down with some Chianti Riserva. After showing some interest in the wines, we were tested to a complimentary small tasting session at the bar. If we could afford to eat out like this more often we would !

We had a better experience here than I gather other diners have. The menu is hardly daring, but every dish the four of us had was perfectly cooked and well-presented. My paparadelle with wild boar sauce was excellent, with the noodles tasting house-made. Squid with whitebait, my wife's starter, was also perfect, and rather a generous portion. We each had a fish entree. My fish seemed a bit overcooked, but the orange, fennel and olive accompaniment was excellent. My wife had bream with thinly sliced aubergine and other vegetables, and was quite happy with it. Our host had veal cutlets, an enormous portion which he seemed to enjoy. The dessert list is fairly limited, just the standard stuff, but a vanilla panna cotta with berries was very nicely done. The biggest downside here is the noise level, which is deafening to the point of making conversation challenging. There is no acoustic tile on the somewhat low ceiling, and conversations really reverberate.

The offer of soup was green pea or minestrone. We chose the minestrone, however, when it arrived it looked and tasted like the green pea soup with a few minestrone type veg thrown in. We both ordered pasta dishes - both were disappointing; my dish especially so. It was sea bass ravioli. The pasta was thick and heavy but worst of all, the sauce tasted as if someone had dropped a pot of pepper into the sauce. It was not at all enjoyable. Nobody came to our table to inquire how the food was. I couldn't finish the meal. When the plate was collected I explained how disappointing the meal was. The person I spoke to, who looked like the senior member of staff, told me I should have informed him at the start of my meal and there was nothing he could do about it now!! No apology or concern shown. I thought at the very least we would have been given our coffee as complimentary, but no, not even a small gesture of complimentary coffee. It was a very expensive meal, with poor food and poor service.

It usually is difficult to mess up Italian food, but Edera managed it. Minestrone soup - at £12 a pop - lacked either tomatoes or pasta; an asparagus risotto arrived like an over-large dollop of porridge with minimal actual asparagus; and my ravioli was drenched in a tomato sauce which swamped any other taste. The fact that my wife and I both left condiserable portions of food uneaten elicited no inquiries from the waiting staff as to why we had been so abstemious. The final bill for almost £90 confirmed my view that this was a meal which simply had to be chalked off to experience. I much prefer giving favourable reviews, but apart from the bread, this meal was memorable for all the wrong reasons.

The most mediocre, lackluster gnocchi I’ve ever had, and that’s with the £5 add on of chicken and buratta. Also the venue had been open for an hour and yet one stall in the women’s had no toilet paper, and then other had a soap bottle split all over the floor. Disappointing and a waste of money.

Excellent meal as always at this restaurant. Service and food were excellent and plenty of choice on the menu. We had lobster ravioli and then the toadstool dessert.

I’ve never encountered such appalling service as I did at this restaurant. First, they charge for using a tablecloth—yes, a tablecloth! To make matters worse, they brought out so-called "complimentary" bread and dip that we never asked for, only to later inform us, “Since you ate it, you have to pay for it.” How can they charge for something we didn’t request? They don’t even provide tap water, and instead, they charge £2 per cup of hot water—which they failed to mention in advance. When we realized this and raised our concerns, the manager’s response was shockingly rude and dismissive, showing no interest in customer service or basic courtesy. To top it all off, they add a service charge on top of the tablecloth fee, and despite the poor service, this charge is not optional. We asked for it to be removed, given the unsatisfactory experience, but they flat-out refused. The entire experience felt like a complete money-grab. The food itself was below average at best, certainly not worth the inflated prices, especially considering the dreadful service and extra charges. If you’re thinking about dining here, do yourself a favor and don’t. You’ll regret even considering it as an option for Italian dining near Knightsbridge. It’s not just the food that will disappoint—you’ll be frustrated by the poor service, hidden charges, and rude management. If you value your time, money, and peace of mind, stay far away from this place.

朝食をとるため訪問。メニューは充実。何を選ぶか迷ったが、ここはイギリス。Traditional English Breakfast(9.95ポンド)を注文。ベイクドビーンズ、ベーコン、トマト、ソーセージ、マッシュルーム、トースト、目玉焼き。ベイクドビーンズのソースは薄味。スタッフが少なく、忙しそう。グロスターロード駅からも近く立地良し。
