The food is excellent, we enjoyed everything but the wait was painfully slow. It didn't feel that busy in terms of the number of tables occupied but we queued for 15 mins to order and then waited an hour and 15 mins for our food to arrive. The atmosphere wasn't great as we could hear other people complaining about the wait and our kids were at the point of mutiny. There was no warning when we ordered that the wait would be so long but there's also not many other alternatives within walking distance. The food was really good when it came and the coffee and milkshakes were delicious.

Good breakfast option for a party of 10. Portions sizes decent, coffee was ok. Bacon was picked out as being particularly excellent. I had the Shakshuka which was very good. Daughter says the veggie breakfast option was good too. Cake selection looks good - will try that later!

Even though this is a popular destination and has a bit of a monopoly on the local surf beach, Eddy’s Restaurant really delivers on good quality food, good portion sizes and all at a fairly reasonable price. It’s a great post surf spot to have a pint and some really good chips. We were blown away by how good the Halloumi chips were and all considered that they were the best we had eaten. Also if you’re feeling flush the breakfast is worth it, although a bit more expensive than average at around £15 for a plate and drink. Friendly, local staff are also quick to share a joke and always seem upbeat whenever we go. There is usually a 20min to half hour wait for food as it does get busy but the pint and the view certainly helps.

We travelled from Broughton beach for food on recommendation on our way home. After checking on Google if there was parking available at the restaurant we decided to make the trip. On arrival we were told we had to pay £5 to park just to eat, honestly I think that’s extortionate as there’s no alternative so we turned around and went elsewhere, sorry Eddy’s we were looking forward to eating but poor information lost you a visit and sale.

The best (made in-house) cheese burger I’ve had in the Gower. It’s nice to see a restaurant finally making their own burger and fries, instead of using frozen, poor quality patties. The beef was good quality, well seasoned and nicely textured. The fries were fresh, crispy and hot. My only place to go for burgers now!

Only four people queuing and still 20 minutes to get served, nearly £6/pint and a poor pint (tasted like it was going off). Tables all dirty, no direction for staff and all seemed completely uninterested. Seen the food coming out and wouldn't recommend. Captive audience from the large campsite opposite. Better off walking to The View Rhossili kitchen where the owner is making an effort.

Whilst the food (once it came) was very tasty, it was all in all a disappointing experience. We waited for at least 45 minutes to get breakfast. The tables were a bit sticky and the outdoors area generally dirty with blown away rubbish. We wouldn't go back.

Disappointed after expecting so much from some of the reviews. Dirty tables outside with no one clearing them. Almost 50minutes to get food, satay chicken bowl was ok, children’s meals poor - one sausage and worst, “chicken goujons” on the menu, turn up as cheap nasty formed chicken nuggets THESE ARE NOT GOUJONS!!!! Goujons are real chicken, not mashed up chicken skin and rubbish. Very disappointed and as far as I’m concerned a deliberately misleading menu item. No one asked how the meal was so I couldn’t complain and there were so few staff on a busy we weren’t going to wait another 45 min to complain. If you like good quality food and good service with clean tables, go elsewhere. The location is great, pretty much the only positive.

Eddy’s smashed it. My first time here, I enjoyed lunch after a long walk along the beach. The entire menu looked fab but the Korean chicken spiced salad bowl immediately took my fancy. £15 for lunch, I thought might be a bit pricey at first, but when it arrived I think it was exceptional value for money. It was delicious. Portion was huge and everything about it was spot on. It had tonnes of freshness from the herbs, seasoning, the pickled cucumber and red cabbage (my favourite bit). Loads of warming heat, not overpowering, but a gentle, warming hum across my whole mouth. The chicken (lots of it) was moist, very well cooked and seasoned. The kimchee salad was lush, sweet, sour, full of zing. Loads of edamame beans and rice to fill you up. Overall, an excellent plate of food - well done Eddy’s chef! And the staff were all pleasant, attentive and helpful. Service was excellent too. And they were only too happy to let my dog inside too. Well done Eddy’s. I’ll definitely be coming back.

It's a lovely, lively place, serves everything you would want to eat on a hiking/ camping surfing outing. The beach is famous for surfing so expect to see people hanging out in wetsuits. EDDY’S RESTAURANT | Dog Friendly, Great Coffee, Surfer Decor, food made with love 🏄🏻‍♀️ As my parents now live on the Gower, it is my mission to find as many places to eat down here as I can; more so, dog friendly. Yes, Eddy’s has been on everyone’s radars for a while, but there were some varied reviews here so I wanted to check it out for myself and give a more up to date opinion! I always bloody love a surfer beach cafe and Eddy’s did it so well 🏄 The decor is gorgeous filled with surfboards, maps of the Gower and local seaside art. Eddy’s was also super super clean! The toilets are immaculate and the floors spotless despite dogs and walkers coming through with sandy shoes. Not a spec! ✨ Staff were all bloody lush, super dog friendly (the cafe’s in house pooch even had his own house in the cafe!) and the food was really REALLY good. We had a fry up and the sausages were local to Gower, and came with corn fritters and potato rostis- bloody love that! I don’t usually rave over sandwiches, but my Beef, horseradish and pickles toasted ciabatta was phenomenal!! Also, the harrisa, lemon and garlic chips were stars of the show! Coffee is from a local producer and made with care; great latte art and they clearly know what they’re doing! Right on the dunes, warm and cosy on a blustery Welsh wet day, going to be bloody gorgeous on a sunny one too! ☀️ Perfect for walkers, beach goers or those who want a pint with sea views in the evening! This is my place for the summer, get the wax out 🏄🏻‍♀️ Visited on 30/04/24

We visited Eddy’s several times during our holiday on the Gower, including twice for breakfast. We had visited once for breakfast two years previous (during Covid) and it had been slightly disappointing. But what a difference! We tried out a fair amount of the breakfast menu between the nine of us in our group and everyone was impressed with the food. Eduardo’s breakfast (a Mexican take on breakfast) was particularly impressive - the flavours were superb. The portions were very generous and it was all well priced particularly considering the size of the meals. The outside seating areas are good and they have one section with some wind protection.

Quite pricey for a campsite restaurant. Can not complain much about the waiting time of 45 minutes as it was a bank holiday weekend but poorly washed plastic cups re-used at the water station and staff wiping leftover crumbs and bits off the tables onto the floor did not add to our dining experience. Empty soap dispensers at the toilet. Can recommend as a place to have a drink outside but not otherwise

Great food. I recommend the toasted sandwiches. They are pretty big, so unless you’ve been hiking all day sharing one between two people will do. Surfing-themed restaurant on the Gower. Part of Hillend campsite facilities, Eddy's is a surfing themed restaurant with a summer lodge feel. Spacious and surrounded by windows on two sides, the restaurant enjoys airy views of the campsite and distant sand dunes. We had pints of tap lager and cider one evening and the full English breakfast the next morning. The breakfast itself was delicious (picture below) and the coffee above average. The menu is not particularly diverse or fancy but for a campsite restaurant, Eddy's is a very convenient and acceptable place to eat and drink. I have reviewed the campsite elsewhere, and have nothing but high praise for this remarkably well-organised establishment.
