The hotel is in a very priviliged situation overlooking the bay of Loch Duart. The hospitality service is great and the staff is very friendly and welcoming. Some of the decoration misses the final touch, i.e the wintergarden, the reception area. But it is still a very recommendable address.

The location, the views, the welcome, the attention to detail and the food made this such a lovely two night stay on our little Highlands escape. This charming old former Manse is so cosy inside, but the grounds and that view! Wow! Richard, Fiona and their friendly team really think about treating their guests well, the prices are spot on and the dinners, drinks, breakfasts and complimentary bakes were all classically delicious from talented chefs. We were lucky to have a room with the view out to the Bay, it was not huge, but it had everything we needed and more, plus a warm cosy, comfortable feel. Thank you, we will return.

Delightful location with stunning views over Badcall bay and easy access to Scourie, Kylesku, Drumbeg and Lochinver where there were great views/beaches/walks, wildlife (particularly at Handa Island.} Breakfast was substantial and set us up for the day. Evening meals were excellent with a mix off Venison/other red meat, a variety of fish, vegan cooked and presented really well.

You know that your going to get a good meal when your told upon checking into the hotel that the menu is still being written after getting that days fresh ingredients.. and we really weren't disappointed. Our crab stater (caught by one of the boats in the bay) was delicate and sweet, letting the flavour of the crab really shine through - with subtle lime dressing complimenting the crab wonderfully. Our perfectly cooked venison was a taste of Scotland on a plate.... sadly - we were too stuffed to make desert, but we did make breakfast :-). Creamy porridge with a shot of Drambuie is the only way ill be eating my porridge from now on.. Exceptional food, lovingly prepared, thoroughly enjoyed, highly recommended

We stay at Eddrachilles Cottage (self catering and a separate business) every couple of years. It's a last-night-of-the-hols treat to dine here when we're up. Tonight's meal was wonderful. Starters were great. I had the lightly pickled beetroot, morangie brie abd candied walnut salad and my OH had the lovely local prawns. Home made bread was grand and abundant. An "intermezzo" of lightly pickled herring was pretty and tasty. Main courses (me: perfect sea trout with scallops; OH: venison cooked rare and gorgeous) were faultless. Puds (me: lemon posset, OH: plum crumble) were grand. The wine list is sensible and succinct. There are helpful by-the- glass suggestions per course. There's a fab bar for Scottish gins (go on, wreck your wallet on the Harris; it's soooo good! ) and a considered whisky list, too. Plus lots of liqueurs ( like raspberry gin and amaretto) for the sweet toothed. Service is completely charming and friendly. The entire place is a complete delight. Thanks again to Richard and Fiona for a super meal in a special place.

We were still adjusting to the time zone changes when we were at Eddrachilles, so didn't sample their breakfasts. (Unfortunately for us--we read great reviews about them!) But we did have dinner there every night except one (and we wished that we had had dinner there THAT night, but were told to try another restaurant in Ullapool.) Every meal we had there was fresh and amazing. The service was lovely. We especially enjoyed the different fresh breads/butters that they had every night. My favorite memory was of the fresh mussels. YUM!! The service was warm, and the seating in the restaurant was in a historical part of the building and very cozy. Such a nice end to a day of sightseeing!

My daughter and I dined here whilst staying in the attached accommodation. We certainly appreciated the efforts staff went to catering for our food allergies, and in no way did we feel as though we had missed out on any particular dish. We chose 2 courses each evening, starter and main, as neither of us have a particularly sweet tooth. The menu changes daily and there is an emphasis on local and seasonal produce, which is fantastic. On the first evening we both had the beetroot and goats cheese starter, which was plated up beautifully and seemed a shame to eat. The delicate balance of flavours melted in the mouth. For main I had the venison and my daughter the lamb shoulder. Both beautifully tender and moist. We each matched with a glass of wine as suggested by the menu for pairing, and they complimented each other well. On the second night my daughter had green gazpacho for entree and local beef for the main, whilst I had poached egg and asparagus for entree with lamb for the main. Again we drank recommended pairing wines (there is a good selection of wines by the glass). Once again we were not disappointed by our meals. I congratulate Richard and Fiona and their staff for creating such a fine dining experience in such a remote location, and their commitment to locally sourced ingredients. Highly recommended.

On our holiday in Glenelg we popped into this cafe, which is popular with both locals and visitors. We only had coffee, but the food on offer looked very tasty. The owner was very friendly and helpful. There is ample parking nearby. Overall a nice place for a snack. Highly recommend.

This place is a hidden gem! We were driving by and found it by chance. The crispy chicken burger was really tasty. My kids loved the nachos and loaded fries. The food quality and taste were amazing, and the prices were very affordable. If you’re in the area, it's a must-try, and the view from the place is breathtaking.

Lucky to find that dinner was available on one of the nights. The meal was excellent. Extremely well cooked, presented and served. Don't miss the opportunity to eat there if you can. Elaine is a great cook/chef.
