Can understand the bad reviews of this place. Stopped in whilst partaking on the otley run. The lady who served us was super accommodating ,friendly and just a great character who you could have a laugh with. She talked us through the menu and told us what about makes the pizzas here special. And they lived up to their own hype. I ordered a simple margarita an d it was easily one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had in the UK or anywhere. Not to doughy like most Neapolitan pizzas these days. Just the right amount of ingredients and a great thin base. Place was spotless and everything was 10/10 Hope this place gets the trade it deserves. Fantastic food

We were the only customers in the place and we were completely ignored. We were given menus but then nobody came to take our order. We caught the waitresses eye a number of times and she ignored us, and there were at least 5 staff there all chatting and not one came over. We gave up and left in the end. We walked less than a minute to Rudys down the road and got delicious pizzas within 10 minutes (and the place was packed with customers!) Wake up ECCO! You are literally watching money walk out of the door!

Been a few times with some friends amazing food and amazing service can't fault it. Plenty of options to choose and your left wanting more. Hope to be back soon.

I’ve visited Ecco several times over the years. I love a good Pizza and have spent years perfecting my own Wood oven Pizza recipe so I know how to judge a good Pizza. The reviews that say it’s hard to get a pizza wrong, clearly not a Pizza expert. People study for years perfecting their Pizza recipe. Ecco’s Pizza is one of the best, for me simple is better, they are fluffy and crispy and you can tell they’re using the finest Italian ingredients. If you want to go Authentic Neapolitan Pizza then they have that but then they’ve created some very creative toppings for those that like something a bit different.

Fantastic food. Our friends circle meet regularly to eat at different restaurants, and this pizzeria is one of our favourite. Fantastic pizzas. Fantastic service. Very welcoming. I’m very particular on cleanliness and this place is spotless. Will be visiting soon again. Highly recommended.

My visit to Ecco Piza was disappointing due to poor hygiene, lackluster service, and subpar food. The place was visibly unclean, with dirty tables and floors. Staff seemed indifferent, barely acknowledging customers. The pizza itself was a letdown, featuring an undercooked yet chewy crust, making for an overall regrettable dining experience.

I reviewed Ecco once before about eight years ago and have been back many times over the years so I thought it about time for an update. If anything this place has improved with time and I remarked the other night that this the best Pizzeria I've ever eaten in with just one possible exception in Sardinia. Even with a thriving take-away going on they have enough capacity to keep waiting times to an acceptable level. I'm glad to say they're always busy so it's best to book.

Really bad experience - found the staff rude and not particularly helpful Food was distinctively average - pizza was greasy/oily and toppings didn’t taste fresh (especially the mushrooms!) I won’t be re-visiting!

I don’t usually write reviews, but this experience was so horrific that I thought to myself why would anyone have to pay for this rubbish? My first pizza had green mould around, so I kindly asked for replacement, believing that it could happen anywhere, but when the replacement arrived, that was the ugliest thing ever in my plate, I could mistaken it for mushrooms easily if I didn’t have a closer look at this coceroach, laying with some old friends of its, pretending to be mushrooms. My friends was shocked, especially the ones who also ordered mushroom pizza. I will never look at pizza the same way ever. Obviously I reported it to the health authorities and showed them the photos as proof of my horrible experience. AVOID!!!

Sadly, even though they have a proper wood fired oven the pizza was very floppy, soupy in the middle and the sauce lacked a distinctive tang. I also found the staff to be rude and unattentive

I visited Ecco Pizza a number of years ago and was quite impressed with the authentic modern atmosphere and the quality of food. Fast forward a number of years and a lot seems to have changed. Sadly not for the better.As previous reviewers have noted the establishment is more focused upon being a takeaway, we entered the dining area to find pizza boxes stacked up around our table. The general feel and vibe feels tired, lacking in restaurant mood and ambience. All compounded by old furniture, sticky tables, tatty sticky menus & finger marked cutlery. In general it all feels a little dirty. As a side show my dining partner visited the toilets and later came back telling me she had the wedge the door as the lock was missing. Lack of attention to detail and quality very much in evidence.The service was competent and cordial enough. The pizza was presented to an acceptable standard, tasted fine but lacking depth of taste and of topping. The wooden serving board was warped and worn, not the slightest hygienic. For the comparative high prices Ecco are charging, you believe in better. Everything is just nearly enough. But no more.An OK experience and that is about it. If you are not expecting much, you will be satisfied.

Firstly, I'd say that that Ecco now seems to have a focus on the take-away business.The operation seems to be mainly focused on getting orders out of the door to take-away customers. The restaurant side of things seems somewhat secondary, with diminished standards. From tables with flaky varnish, to dog-eared menus that looked like they'd been handled by 100s of customers. The place also has no atmosphere at all - sorry, but dining out should have a little something special about it, e.g. friendly/happy atmosphere and ambience.One of our Pizzas was the wrong kind when it arrived, which we might not have minded, but we also has a serious charging discrepancy on the final bill.All in all - maybe ok as a take-away (a premium cost one at that), but then again, so are many supermarkets these days.

My first visit this evening and I really enjoyed it, nice atmosphere and the food was delicious. The toilets were clean and the staff seemed friendly. Will definitely visit again soon.

Im not usually the one to write reviews but it was honestly the most disappointing, tasteless, bland, sickening pizza I’ve ever consumed in my whole life. I’ve honestly had £1.50 pizzas from Morrison’s that taste better than this. We also found hairs in the coleslaw, worst money I’ve ever spent and I will not be returning. I never want to eat Italian food ever again. I would give this half star if possible. I’ll stick to Caribbean take aways.

The waitress was friendly and it was good service. There was no alcohol which we weren’t expecting. The pizzas weren’t bad but the vegetarian ones we ordered were supposed to have caremalised onions on top but they had loads of almost raw red onion which wasn’t very good. One person had a calzone which wasn’t bad but could have done with having hotter contents as the mozzarella was in unappealing big lumps instead of being nicely melted. It is not a bad place but could do with some quality checks

Popped in for a pizza before heading home after the Test Match at Headingley and we were so pleased we did. Fabulous wood fired pizza which all 3 of us agreed was as good as we have eaten - and we have sampled a few! Great service, friendly staff, good value and an all round great experience. Certainly don't understand some of the poor reviews on here. Thanks Ecco, keep up the good work - we will be back.

Absolutely amazing. Food was fantastic. Literally the best pizza I have ever eaten.Super service as well, thanks to Drew and Inga, made the experience all the better. Only in the area for one night on holiday. Will definitely be back next I am visiting Yorkshire. Highly recommend a visit.

...and I did eat plenty! In my opinion, Ecco has the best pizza in the world. I know it sounds like an exaggeration but for me it is genuinely so. We had some really nice pizzas in Naples itself, but they're generally more traditional there (great Margarita and Marinara, but basically nothing else), while Ecco offers a variety of awesome toppings.We were frequent customers for almost 4 years, and now, having moved out of Leeds, Ecco is one of the things we'll miss the most.

Took on their challenge to find a better pizza in Leeds. They won, best Pizza I have eaten in last twenty tears or more. I had Margarita.

Today was the first time I visited Ecco Pizzeria after reading excellent reviews and was amazed at actually how true those reviews were! The staff were very friendly and accommodating, even making small changes to suit diners that enhanced our experience. The we had chicken wings, dough balls, cheesy garlic bread and specialty pizzas and the amazing Palestine pizza- proceeds of sake donated to children’s charity. The fresh gelato ice creams were the best I had as were the mock tails. I cannot find anything negative to say and look forward to coming back again. The restaurant was full and I noticed all the other customers were very happy too! Well done Ecco Pizzeria *** I have noticed a campaign has been waged against Ecco pizzeria by those who object to the restaurant promoting its Palestine pizza and donating the proceeds to a charity helping affected children. It’s obvious those leaving negative reviews are doing so to damage the business and are not genuine customers.For those who appreciate tasty food and excellent service, I would highly recommend Ecco Pizzeria.

Amazing pizza, the vegetarian one includes aubergine, peppers mushrooms and I usually get sweetcorn / jalapenos. You can see them pop your pizza in the wood-fired oven in front of you & the chefs even swing the dough in the air for added pizzaz! Great independent, local business!

I ordered a take away and was expecting a Napolitano style pizza, but found it to be a crispy thin base. Tasted more American.

I had been told that Ecco was the place to go for an authentic pizza.The reality was very different.Outrageous prices, toppings that weren’t fresh (tinned), and doughy base with burnt (black) edges.Staff made me stand outside in the rain under the guise of Covid protection, which was unnecessary. I will never use again.

Great pizza every-time. Gluten free options which are amazing. Clean, fast and fresh. And they do a giant pizza option which takes some finishing.

Ecco is my absolute favourite takeaway in Leeds, I always save it for special occasions or when I really want to treat myself. The reason it’s the best pizza in my opinion is the quality if the ingredients. You can just get a margarita and the flavours are so good and the tomato and basil and dough are so fresh tasting, you don’t need any other toppings!100% would recommend.

Popped in to get a takeaway pizza. Pizza came in a pizza box that was inside out, staff member who served me (who I got the impression was the manager) was walking around inside with their hoodie up over their head, which gave a bad impression. Verbal communication felt abrupt. Pizza was good but not as nice as it used to be when I first tried it a few years back. It cost more than I expected too. I dont know if this place has changed ownership over recent years but it doesn't seem to be what it used to be.

Heard so many good things so we decided to try. All three pizzas were raw and falling apart. Completely inedible. The potato wedges were rock solid. Nothing cooked properly, highly disappointed. When we complained they only offered a 79p refund which they increased to £3.90 after we pestered. Hardly appropriate considering we hardly ate half a pizza between the three of us due to it being inedible

Blessed by some quality pizza places in LS18, but got a delivery from Ecco on a Friday during lockdown and I thought it was absolutely outstanding pizza. Looking at the recent reviews it does appear there’s some gripes about delivery times (I used Deliveroo) and it did take some time, but it was peak time (Friday night) during lockdown so I have degree of sympathy. The pizza was very, very good.

Had great pizza from here in the past. The girl on the phone let’s the business down. Won’t honour orders before they were declined for no reason, laughed at us over the phone when we tried to understand why it happened. All round rude. Go elsewhere

Was a fan and ordered almost every week. Today they sent a pear and walnut pizza with blue cheese instead of my margarita. Rang up and was told I couldn't get a replacement delivered and would have to collect myself... but I have no car. Couldn't eat the pear pizza so no tea for me ‍♀️

I wish I read the reviews before ordering a takeaway from that place. The pizza was undercooked, soggy with way too much low quality cheese on it, the wings were slimy and horrific. It was probably the worst food I’ve ever had - avoid at all cost!

La actitud del personal es terrible, las pizzas no miden 30 cm, son mucho más pequeñas, diría que 25 cm, y los ingredientes son extremadamente finos en el suelo. También estaban fríos como una piedra al recibirlos. La primera vez que usamos Ecco y ciertamente no lo volveremos a usar. This place already did great pizza but I think it’s got better. I hadn’t been for a while but went with my daughter tonight and I have to say it’s the closest thing I’ve had to a neopolitan pizza in UK. I’d go for just the simple margarita or straightforward toppings as the stars of the show are the mozzarella , tomatoes and dough. Lovely service tonight too.

Me and my partner run our own wood fired catering business and we go here a lot because they do great pizza! However, we've stopped going into the shop because new/young staff don't seem to get treated very well (always being told they're doing things wrong, high turnover of staff, seem nervous). I can empathise with them as I've worked in places like this, therefore, we decided to stop going into the restaurant. However, we find it difficult to order online due to removal of card payment. You can order on deliveroo but it's more expensive and there aren't as many options. Therefore, we've reduced our custom. We are sad about this as we do really enjoy the food, it's a shame.

We ordered 2 pizzas using deliveroo app. I ordered at 7pm, I expected the delivery at 8pm as per deliveroo informations. Deliveroo don't do delivery for that restaurant. The delivery arrived at 8.45. That wasn't the first time, a couple of years ago I had exactly the same issue but I forgot about that and I decided to give it another chance. Do not order your dinner if you want to eat at a decent time.

We have made multiple visits. The quality of the food is consistent. We dropped in for dinner on Sunday evening. 1/2 metre pizza with different toppings, Carne and Kingston. Potatoe wedges were O.K. The Ecco mixed salad is a dissapointing expensive at £4.45 small bowl of mixed lettuce, 3 cherry tomatoes halved and 2 strips of green pepper. Pizza was nice and fresh, service was prompt.

The place was clean and tidy. The friendly staff know how to keep customers happy. Good food and great atmosphere, will be coming again

My husband and I visited Ecco Pizzeria in mid November. The restaurant is small and at our time of visiting was very empty (never a good sign for a fairly new restaurant on a popular street in Leeds). Despite the lack of customers, service was very slow and we felt our presence had burdened them. Staff were very unfriendly and the gentleman who appeared to be the manager came across very arrogantly. I felt for the waitress who was having commands barked at her and wondered why she was putting up with this treatment. Food was ok, nothing special. I believe the business would benefit greatly from some staff training on customer service and a review of the management of staff.

Fantastic pizza with oven at heart of restaurant, so you see the food being prepared. Reasonable prices. Only slight negative is it’s on a very busy road; other than that great.

Popped by having eaten elsewhere to have ice cream. Such a great selection and waitress was happy for us to try several different flavours. Big scoops and reasonably priced. Really tasty.

We ordered a takeaway Bianca pizza, supposed to have rosemary, thyme, olive oil infused potatoes as a topping, simple. No, not so simple. Someone in Ecco pizzeria thought it would be a better idea to use frozen wedges as a topping?????? Gross.

Le dije que debería habernos avisado si había un problema, pero ni siquiera nos disculpamos, luego me colgó el teléfono. Que pena por ti Ecco.

I came with my wife, daughter & son in law on a Sunday afternoon and believe me it was one of my personal best experiences. The food was delicious, the display oven fired up and the chefs making your food in front of you looked gorgeous and the service was out of this world, the waiter not only took our order but took his time to chat with us, also seen him running back and cutting it and bringing it to us, loved his energy and was full of smiles, I forgot his name but he did have two earrings in but thanks for the Vegan Cheese name too. Would definitely recommend 100% and we are for sure coming back every time we’re

Pizza was delicious and nice to see it being made in front of you. Chocolate calzone was also very nice and staff very friendly and accommodating. Couple of flies in the dining area which if they could eradicate would make it a 10/10. Even so a 9.5 out of 10

As a family who travel to Italy a lot, finding authentic Italian pizza in the UK is really difficult.

Had a large pizza to share. Base and sauce were great but the various toppings (especially the chicken) were disappointing. Not super cheap, either; almost £20 for the pizza.

They claim to produce pizzas that are as good as the ones in Naples, Italy.

We travelled as family to visit a friend who suggested this place. The service was quick and friendly. The pizza itself tasted great, generous topping for a thin pizza and it was priced under 10£ per person.

I don't often leave 5 star reviews. But this place is fantastic. I just ordered this evening for the first time. (Next I would love to visit the restaurant!) I had the vegetarian pizza and my partner the margherita. The major plus for me is that they offer Gluten Free bases. I have searched high and low for a decent pizzeria that offers this and delivers. And... it...was...amazing! It was the perfect size, lots of fresh ingredients on the topping, perfectly cooked and incredibly tasty. I also, on a different note, ordered their health food salad. It was the most delicious salad I *genuinely* think I've ever eaten! The prices are worth every single penny and, in my opinion, very good value for money. The delivery was very fast, about 20 minutes from ordering! I think I've found my new favourite pizza place! Amazing! If all of this came from their delivery service, I can only imagine how even nicer it must be eating in!

Really wanted to enjoy this place, came in for a Ferrero rocher ice cream. For 2 scoops it cost £3.50. Now I wouldn't mind paying this price if the ice cream if it tasted like the flavour of Ferrero rocher, unfortunately it tasted like dark chocolate and wasnt even solid! Very disappointing!

We went to eat there on Saturday evening. The restaurant was noisy and not very welcoming. Anyway we carried on to eat there as we had booked a table. The pizzas were Ok but not the best we have ever had. No sooner had we eaten than they came over with the bill and asked us to pay. We did complain as I think we should have been able to stay for a short time after eating. Eat and get kicked out!!! They said they wanted the table as they were busy. So what!! Not friendly service and like eating in a cattle market. Think twice before eating there

If Carlsberg made pizza they would not be the best. Visiting Leeds we stayed overnight at our daughters flat and decided on pizza as a takeaway, ordered for delivery turned up within 40 minutes reasonably priced and probably the best pizza I've ever tasted,

Good menu with interesting options based on different cuisines round the world, as well as the classics. One of the best pizzas I've had in ages.

Teníamos excelentes pizzas aquí pero estaban cerrando y aunque nos ofrecieron una mesa, no pudimos pedir ningún helado después, ya que dijeron que estaban cerrando. Creo que si los lugares te aceptan como cliente, al menos pueden servirte desde su menú completo.

I came today for a pizza with my girlfriend. Pizza was very poor... Dough was nice but rest no comment. Pre cook mushrooms literally boiled. My "caramelized onion" was blue. I think you can find better pizza in any supermarket.
