We recently visited this place and was really impressed with the quality of food. The taste was fantastic, and the service was quick, which is always a plus when you’re short on time. Another great aspect is that the food is very affordable, making it a great value for money. However, one downside is the lack of covered seating. If it rains, you’re left with nowhere to sit comfortably, so keep an eye on the weather if you plan to visit. Also, just a small warning: if you order the kipper, be aware that it contains small bones, so it’s best to eat with caution, especially if you’re serving it to kids. Overall, it’s a great spot for a quick, tasty, and budget-friendly meal—just be mindful of the seating and kipper bones!

Great food and location. Reasonably priced. They can get very busy and, while the service is always good, it can then slow down. Sit outside, be patient and it is excellent.

Absolutely worth trying, in September you can eat outside the bar/restaurant on a nice day but you have to dress at least with a warm sweater because the air is quite cold and there is always a bit of wind. The fishing is mainly lobster and crab, but at the bar you can also eat vegan/vegetarian (you have to make do)

Totally exceeded all expectations! Absolutely delicious lunch stop on our cycle ride, hit the spot 100% and really cosy atmosphere inside. I had the smoked haddock soup with chips which was SO tasty, followed by a coffee (oat milk) and gingerbread slice. Perfect lunch stop and great service too. Impressive menu from such a small kitchen. 100% recommended stopping here.

We visit this cafe every time we go fishing at st abbs, all the staff are nice and polite but the cakes are something else, I normally have the biscotti cheesecake which was my favourite and I honestly didn't think you could get anything better BUT I was wrong, peanut butter and chocolate mousse cake was the best cake I've ever had in my life 🤤...oh and the coffee is so nice to.

A fantastic little cafe with quality food, fast and friendly staff. The staff had a very family orientated feel and were very kind and welcoming. There are seats outside or some upstairs. The desserts were amazing! The likes of cherry cheese cake, banoffee pie or other cakes were delicious and well worth a try! The location is perfect and beautifully nestled cozily in the harbour corner. Well recommended.

Avoid if you don't want to get scammed! Our mistake was not to check the details of the bill. You might think that in a small, lost place like this café you can trust the staff... Even if the food was good, being ripped off leaves a bitter taste, really bitter. Too bad because we had a great time. The prices on the ticket do not correspond to those indicated on the menu. Despite having ordered the same dessert 3 times, we ended up with 3 different prices (and no, we did not confuse it with the drinks or the main courses)! A shame ! We can think that the staff took advantage of the fact that we were tourists who did not speak English well... We lost at least £15 or more! To avoid!!!!

Overall an excellent experience. Friendly, one feels 'looked after'. Local food, always delicious. Feels pricey by Borders standards, but quality wise it really is a cut above anything else in the area. The same food and experience in Edinburgh would be eye wateringly expensive.

Starter was nice but that was just bread with tomatoes so nothing cooked. Main course Traditional home cooked beef lasagne..... This lacked beef mince, in fact it was more like trying and spot the mince! Plus it had a hard lump of rubbery cheese in the lasagna. Is this really Italian? I think a pint of birra moretti was priced at £5.00 but charged £5.95. Over £25 for a poor meal and a beer. Basic cooking and over priced and if you want better food then go elsewhere. Plus the main waiter guy was very impatient at times and seemed more interested in a group of customers rather than individuals.
