Eat Tokyo in Kensington and Chelsea

La comida es genial y el sushi es fresco. El personal de espera es atento, sin embargo, los comentarios del personal detrás de la barra de sushi sobre las mecenas es horrible. Me senté sola en el bar de sushi y tuve que soportar un comentario sobre mi edad y la apariencia de algunos de los empleados que preparan el sushi detrás de la barra. Encontré esto extremadamente grosero y sexista y no algo que las clientas que cenan solas deberían tener que soportar como parte de su comida. Dos hombres adivinaban mi edad entre ellos (en voz alta 0 y hablando de mí como si no pudiera entender lo que decían. Uno de ellos se puso bastante agitado y empezó a alzar la voz y a exclamar que debía tener 42 años (en realidad tengo 45). Independientemente de mi edad, este no debería ser un tema de conversación fuerte entre el personal que todos los demás sentados en el bar puedan escuchar.

Tengo un problema de movilidad y he comido en algún momento en cada Eat Tokyo en Londres. La sucursal de Notting Hill es definitivamente mi favorita. El gerente siempre me ha permitido hacer una reserva en solitario para no tener que estar fuera. El personal siempre me ha tratado con amabilidad y sensibilidad. Son solo pequeñas cosas como permitirme sentarme en una mesa (aunque he dicho que me sentaría en el mostrador) y asegurarme de que pudiera acceder al baño. Ojalá pudiera decir lo mismo de algunas de las otras ramas... Dejando a un lado mi propia situación, encuentro el menú para tener más opciones en esta rama y el ambiente es mucho más relajado y menos maníaco.
