Really used to like this takeaway - always lovely food delivered very quickly However today this was not the case. Food ordered at 18:40 not delivered until almost 20:47 - really poor communication blaming drivers. Had to ring twice to chase up.?If no drivers available then either cancel order or give customer option of continuing with purchase. Came so late we were no longer hungry Real shame

Haven’t ate a Chinese takeaway in a couple of year, due to poor quality. Decided to dip my toes in again tonight and I was not disappointed. Fantastic food. Those prawn sweet and sour balls are amazing. Quality of meat in the chow Mein was outstanding. Will definitely be getting again. Thank you very much

we have used many fast food place and chinese etc but ive got to say that Easternstar is by far the best place to order from always very tasty always hot delivered on time respect to the chef and all his staff 100 percent Simply the best will always use

really enjoyed the food as always but ordered chow mein from the appertisers and got rice instead. these things happen so. didn't spoil it . still my favourite Chinese restaurant

i have always used another chinise until i decided to change to Eastern star, i kid you not the food is amazing every single time. The staff are always lovely on the phone and always cook to my preferences, wouldn’t go anywhere else now.

chicken was like jelly chips must of been reheated a few times dry and hard and the ribs hardly any meat just big lumps of fat never again 25 round down the drain.

Munch box was lovely, delivered early piping hot, absolutely loads of food and nice big bits of chicken,the ribs were full of meat and the rice was fresh. Good value for money and the delivery driver was spot on.

Chips were not cooked and there wasn't a lot of them. Paid extra for noodles that were very dry and were not the nicest. Other than that i enjoyed it

Great food never had any bad food

This is the 1st and last time I will be ordering with eastern star. Quality of food was terrible. Lemon chicken the chicken was not fresh and the same with the honey chilli chicken! Batter on the chicken was disgusting! Chips look like they were reheated

Usually very nice from here but the munchie box this time was inedible. Far too much chilli on the majority of the munchie box. Highly disappointed

Reasonable price, good food with lots of ingredients (some alternatives lately have had limited amounts of meat, etc.).

Dreadful! Without a doubt, the worst Chinese takeaway I have ever had. Fried rice was congealed in the box like sticky rice with no aroma or flavour, crispy chicken was not crispy and more like chicken in fluffy batter. Chips tasted like they had been reheated. Three of us had this meal and everyone said it was awful. Most of it went in the bin. Never, ever will I order from there again. Dreadful on every level and I have had a lot of takeaways in my time!

We’ve had many, many Chinese takeaways and this one is by far the most disgusting one we’ve ever had. The crispy chicken was not only not crispy, it was soggy. The fried rice came out of the carton in a block and was stickier than sticky rice. The curry sauce didn’t have much taste either. I don’t like giving bad reviews but in this instance I felt it truly deserved it. All in all, a huge disappointment.

This beef curry must be the worst l have eaten the beef had no taste and it was like chewing on a soft rubber all in the bin justeat needs to pay attention these takeaways like this giving justeat a bad name

First time I’ve ordered from Eastern Star, would definitely order again. Food was delicious, plenty of it. Delivery took a little while, but was within the stated time. Delivery guy was polite & friendly. Thank you everyone we really enjoyed our tea.

Amazing food everything tasted amazing and delivery was earlier than the expected time! Can’t fault definitely be going again!

Order arrived 2 and a half hours after it was placed when it said 30-45 minutes estimate. I only got an update after I requested one 20 minutes after it said it was on the way. Was given a further half an hour so I doubt the order had even been made up. The quality of the food wasn't great, meat was rubbery and incredibly salty.

Food extremly late after calling them at 8.10 which was stated delivery time they said 20 mins still no sign so called them back , it came a hour after original time chips were cold rest was warm enough to eat

Took over two hours for my food to be delivered. When I ordered the estimated delivery time was 30 minutes. After an hour of waiting I tried calling but the phone had been disconnected. I kept trying and finally after trying for 15 minutes someone answered and said the food would be 20 minutes. After 30 more minutes I called again to be told it was on its way. When it finally arrived it was ok but several elements were cold! The plum sauce was delicious though.

The food wasn’t right it was all in one rice noddles chips and curry but there was no rice in the carton. What did arrive was nice though but not ideal paying for things and it not being right!

Not usually one to complain & this place used to be class but tonights order really wasn’t the best - Salt & Chilli chicken was very soft and mushy, chips were really badly overcooked and had a weird taste to them, foo yung was very tasteless and bland. Only thing that was nice was the curry sauce.

Delivery was quick and the driver was polite. However the food was incredibly hot, the crispy chilli chicken had a mushy texture from being overcooked. I have a low tolerance for spice, the chilli chicken had no chillis in, and was not at all spicy.

Thought we would try here as our usual was closed, this one had the best reviews and stars but Compared to the reviews the food was definitely not up to the standard ☹️ literally no flavour everything was so bland, the chow mein was mushy And the chicken was really chewy, wouldn’t be going back here. Only plus was it was hot when delivered. Also received a different pop to what we ordered.
