Eastern Paradise in Wiltshire

Amazing meal! Everything was so delicious and staff were attentive and friendly. We were curious to try authentic Indian chai and they made it for us especially, even though it wasn't on the menu. Thank you for a great evening out! Didn't have room for dessert after my starter and main, but will definitely be trying their tasty menu next time.

Good menu with lots of choice, great authentic food, excellent efficient friendly service. This was our 4th time this year, we were looking forward to it and it didn’t disappoint

A really good dining experience from start to finish,superb portions and flavours with excellent service. Recently moved into the area and would gladly call this our second home, a perfect evening out.

We’ve just been for dinner, had sizzling platter and achbar chicken (might not have been called that, it was a black peppery tikka). Staff are friendly, food is good, they give you a chocolate and a baileys (or another shot) when they are getting bill. I enjoyed it plenty. I really like this local curry house.

Rude bad customer service and very unhelpful Been using eastern paradise for some time and a few hiccups but usually pretty good but had an awful experience tonight Placed a ore order via them direct for delivery at 1815 due to being at work they delivered for 1720 , my partner was at gone and raised this with them they wouldn’t take the food back and stated the manager would call which he didn’t . I called when I got home and they couldn’t see the issue , my food was cold , they stated it wasn’t their problem , they would not refund me as they would loose commission , very rude manager and couldn’t see what the issue was .

I’ve reviewed before but just want to say this for balance... there’s been some criticism of this place on here. Last night they made a mistake on my order, but when i politely told them they couldnt have been more helpful or polite in sorting it out for me. We all make mistakes and people are so quick to go on forums and criticise - these guys continue to serve great food promptly in difficult times. Good on them.

The original owners were very friendly one even helped me with taking my shopping upstairs when i was on crutches when i saw him outside .Then they vanished and this crew took over not as friendly at all .The food is ok quite tasty but they dont seem that friendly .

Annoyingly awful. Curry’s were cold and really not that tasty, lacking in flavor. Potato was raw, it took over an hour to arrive. Then to top it off when we called to tell them the issues the customer service was awful with shocking excuses. These are not picky issues, this is food that just shouldn’t be served.

Greasy food and rice stained with the ink from the lid. When phoned to complain the man on the phone was rude and threatening. Refused to believe the pictures that I sent him. Then threaten to use my number to find my Facebook. The threatened to give my photo to the police... not sure why I assuming complaining about using food must be againt the law.

Fabulous food, fabulous staff. Very COVID friendly. We will return next time we are on our holidays down this way. Would recommend the ostrich ... delicious.

Great covid protection. We were recommended this Indian restaurant by the b&b owner where we were staying. It was clean and a friendly welcome was extended to. As well as the normal fare on the menu ostrich was also offered and cooked superbly. The waiter was attentive but not in our space all the time. I have no problem recommending this restaurant.

Absolutely disgusted with the meal and attitude of the owner. Been going to this place for 15 years.decided to have a takeaway this evening and thought it would be nice until an under cooked piece of chicken.so phoned up to tell them only to be interrupted at every word by the so called person in charge. Wouldn't listen to a word I was saying. Very rude .I only complained to warn them of later customers only to be shot down by the man on the phone.horrible man. Will not be going back ever again. Very rude and arrogant. Even the free popadoms were stale Dont usually go on here to moan but even my meal went in the bin greasy horrible s##t.probably wouldn't have moaned but the attitude of the boss man stinks. Live and learn.

Visit with friends, just looking for a sit-down somewhere in Westbury. Random choice, got to try everywhere once eh?Everything was satisfactory with nothing wowing the crowd. Ticked the hunger box - usual efficient service. Soft drinks from a large bottle was potentially to be expected from a venue such as this. Nothing overtly negative/positive to say other than felt like a takeaway with seating - might return if alternate options indicate this is the best Westbury has to offer.

Took my son for his birthday meal great service and lovely food we all had a lovely time the Sunday deal is very good you get so much very good value for money and very accommodating with children thank you

Had eastern spices takeaway. Firstly service in terms of delivery was excellent from ordering to delivery. However quality of food was poor. Chicken under cooked and tasted like rubber and despite ordering two dishes that did not contain coconut it was clear that the dishes had been cooked with other food that contained coconut. This meant that the dishes were not as tasty as they should have been.

We have been going to this restaurant for years and we have never been disappointed. This time we ordered our 'usual' for takeaway, and we were not disappointed, the food was delicious!

I took friends here last week and the food and service were excellent. It was nice to see the owner (Sam) back in the restaurant as it seems to have given the place a lift again. We had a variety of curries to satisfy the whole groups taste and everything was cooked well and was tasty..... a very happy group of friends. Thank you.

Eaten here on many visits to Westbury. Good curry - good selection and quality. My kids enjoy it as well. Service has always been good too

Despite their website advertising a set meal for 2 at £24.95 they tried to charge £29.99. In the past the food has been ok but the bhajis always overcooked. Will go down the road...

Needs a meal the night before attending AOSB and was recommended by the B&B I was staying at. Food was quick and tasty.

Went her for a family do with young baby and they were brilliant. The food was really good and they have different dishes to the normal Indian restaurant. Worth a visit

I had enjoyed the "Sunday special" a couple of times before the name changed to Eastern "Paradise". No longer a pleasant , value for money experience.When we arrived , only four or five tables were occupied. My wife and I waited 45 minutes on our starters. I asked the abrupt waiter if there was any reason for the delay. His excuse was that he had put our order in his pocket. We continued to watch many later arrivals being served before us. So despite the reluctant apology , they continued to compound their error. Our main courses finally arrived 1hr 15 minutes after placing our order. Water then arrived when we asked a third waiter , again , 75 minutes after the first request. The food: the bhuna was tasteless and completely unlike any cooked at countless other Indian restaurants up and down the country ; the lamb was very tough ; the methi tasted charred and not at all of fenugreek ;even the naan was sub standard , uncooked , wet doughy around the edge.Unfortunately we had plenty of time to observe the keystone kops approach to running a restaurant as the staff neglected , disappointed and apologised to many other diners. Needless to say , we won't be back.

Curries were good, my Jafrazi was bonkers hot but tasty, we had Korma, Tikka Massala (too much sauce), dupiaza (very good) and Bhuna (good) all chicken.

My wife & I have been using this Restaurant/Takeaway for several years and have always enjoyed good food and most importantly, good service. However, over the past few months we have noticed a very sharp drop in service as well as often lukewarm food from the takeaway! On two recent occasions we have ordered a takeaway (both online and by telephone) and when we went to collect at the given time, found we had to wait another 10-15 minutes before it was ready! The same was true of our last meal in the Restaurant, we were give a starter (that we didn't order or want for that matter) just to give them a bit more time to catch up with what I guess is all the Pre-Orders coming in online before they open, it's chaos in there when it first opens of an evening. You can see that panic in most of the waiters, and the atmosphere is tense which makes for an unpleasant experience! To make matters worse, the head waiter these days (I believe he's called AJ) comes up with all sorts of poor excuses as to why the order is late, rather than just be honest and say "sorry but we are running late". He annoyingly asks you your name several times while you're waiting and while I'll admit I too have a bad memory, these are your customers, make an effort!

I felt it had gone down hill, atmosphere was non existent, lights so bright I was squinting, didn’t feel cosy, special or at all relaxing. Waiters seemed stressed and not their normal happy selfs!! Starters were poor quality, tasted as if prawn purée came from a jar???? Curry was good, tasty, just seems to have gone down hill, everything ok guys???? Not sure I will give it another try☹️

Big table for my sons birthday and the guys breezed it! food was lovely and such good value the team and food are brill. thank you very much we will all be back

Only ever had great food and service from Eastern Paradise, whether eating in or getting takeaway. Standard Indian restaurant prices and certainly good value for the quality of food. Will keep coming back and certainly recommend!

Stopped here for some lunch before heading back home, the vindaloos are wonderful and flavoursome as well as the peshwari naan. We also ordered the spinach with melted cheese (saag paneer) which was some of the best we’ve ever tasted.

Love coming here for curry. The service here is good, waiters very courteous, especially Nemis (I hope I spelt his name right) and the place is clean.

I love cinnamon lounge’s clean cooking and flavours when eating out and saffron’s bulk, adapability and value for takeaway. Eastern paradise combines the best of both with prompter service. The best Indian takeaway in the area - sorry CL and S, but my loyalty has shifted!

What a feast! A great meal for all seven of us, couldn’t fault a thing. Excellent service, delivered in a timely manner to our holiday destination.

We go to the Eastern Paradise regularly, as the food is delicious the staff are always helpful and friendly. They have a takeaway area with reading material and you can grab a drink while you wait. And one of the local car parks is across the road from the the restaurant.

Passing through Westbury and found this little restaurant. The staff were friendly and the food was absolutely Devine. The best Indian food I have had in a long while

We was passing through westbury so stopped and got a takeaway.the vindalo was very tasty and HOT,just how it should be.i could taste naga pickle in it which was good.the onion bajis where amazing and my gfs lamb Rogan was good.will be using this place again.

Had a takeaway from here a couple of weeks ago. Food was exceptional. Very tasty and the chicken very tender. Rice and Nan bread also really nice. Will certainly return in the future.

The best food in Westbury - fresh tasting and good value. We specially like the sizzling tandoori prawns and side dishes such as bombay potatoes and mushroom bhaji. Shame they no longer do a veggie thali for one person.

I have eaten here on many occasions. Nothing is to much trouble, the food, service and atmosphere are spot on. The owner is very attentive and the staff are happy to advise and make recommendations. They will also adjust meals to suit your preference! One of the best Indian restaurants that I have used.

Meat dry and tasteless! No marinating process going on here. Given them the benefit of the doubt and tried other dishes, but sadly not impressed at all. Just in a convenient location, but need to up their game.

Went here for dinner with a work colleague on a recommendation from a local person. It's on a main road and you will find parking in the pay and display directly opposite. Parking charges don't apply after 6pm. The outside appearance of the restaurant is not very inspiring but inside is very nice. The staff are very polite and welcoming. They are relaxed and don't rush you. I had one of the nicest Lamb Vindaloo's I can remember in a long time and would recommend the food here strongly. The chapatti I had was freshly cooked and the poppadum's were crisp and tasty. We ordered extra and they came hot. So all in all a great experience and the price was really good too

This is definitely the best Indian restaurants in the area. The food is exceptional and the service is second to none. Nothing is to much trouble for the staff.

Top notch as always, the twins first dining out experience and they loved it. Best sunday lunch for ages.

We visited on Mother's Day to make a change from the norm and were not disappointed. Ice cold kingfisher, great curry and really good service by the staff. Highly recommended!!

We are an old couple who have eaten many, many curries but THIS IS THE BEST WE HAVE EVER HAD!
