Eastern Kebab House in Rochdale

Food was tasty indeed, service was also excellent. I might be wrong but the price structure could improve to compete against others. I will definitely visit them again.

For over a year I bought regular takeaways from Eastern for myself and a friend. I live near town & had food delivered to my home. To begin with both food & service were brilliant & food was delivered within 40 mins of ordering. After around 6 months food quality declined & wrong orders were sent. Delivery time gradually lengthened to an hour, then an hour & a half & my last oder arrived 2 hours after ordering, - COLD! I always tipped the lovely delivery drivers but this company took me for granted as a regular instead of looking after me with basic, good service. I sacked them! 👎👎👎

Went at short notice with friends and their two teenagers. So 6 of us at short notice. It was actually very good. Very attentive staff and the food is excellent. The sizzling mixed starter to share and poppadoms are good. The main meals are full of flavour and good portion sizes. For £20 per person this place is great value. Recommended.

Fresh food was served piping hot on a Tava. The gentleman serving was very polite and accommodating. Thanks for your great service and hope to there again.

Did not enjoy our experience today . Chicken sizzler had barley any chicken and they did not bother to give salad with our tawa meal which we usually get, I asked for it and this appeared about 20 minutes later at which point I told them not to bother as we had nearly finished. No apologies. Staff seem to have an attitude problem aswell. Wont be going back .

Disappointing food. I ordered a take out half tandoori chicken. What I ended up with was a few chicken leg bones with bits of meat on the bone where they had filleted the legs I guess for other meals such as curries. There was no breast. If I order half a chicken then that’s what I expect not some scraggy chicken bones and a grilled onion to bulk out the container. I won’t be going back. Rip off place.

The staff were very friendly, food was great had a kobedi was very tasty and fresh. Would reccomend for anyone . Also had a burger , meat tasted fresh and was an enjoyable experience . thank you

I don’t normally leave negative reviews but on this occasion, I felt it was important to point out at the lack of customer service and rudeness that we experienced for the second time. First we ordered through Just Eat and it was incorrect and when we pointed it out we were faced with rudeness. The second time we ordered over the phone, again our order was incorrect and when pointed out the person over the phone didn’t admit to his mistake and didn’t allow me time to finish my order as he was rushing me off the phone. Eventually, when he accepted his mistake he wanted to charge me for an extra order. We waited just less than an hour for the first order and then had to wait another hour for the other food to arrive in the meantime, the food we placed first was cold. No one should have to wait 2 hours for their food and then have to eat cold food. Not only did it ruin my evening, and we also had to eat cold food. Totally unacceptable customer service and behaviour... one would think they’d want to keep their customers in the current climate.

This place does not accept credit cards. Why may you ask? Clearly because they don't declare what the earn and hence don't pay the tax due. We as customers pay our tax so why should establishment be allowed to swindle the tax man. I urge everyone to question why they don't accept debit or credit cards and if they don't give a satisfactory response contact the inland revenue and make them aware of it. I will certainly be doing that.

Went here for the first time on a Friday the food very pricey and not worth the money,kebabs were off and when we told the waiter about this no apology was given and we were told no one else has complained,never going there again!!..very bad customer service.

I regularly order donner/donner stir fry from many places around the rochdale area.First and last time ordering it from here. Worst I've had tbh. Full of oil and onions the size of chips. With no donner. Actually gave me a stomach ache. Avoid!!

Order from Eastern regularly. Always enjoy the food and the delivery is mostly always on time, which is great! Would recommend it.

A friend pre-ordered the lamb leg that we were looking forward to. We were invited to very and pleasant restaurant. The staff were very polite and attentive. When the leg arrived it was cooked thoroughly and tasted fantastic. The spices were spot on, the trimmings were perfect too. It's a real treat to come here and would recommend it. I look forward to trying the tawa dishes next, InshaAllah.

I ordered through Just Eat, the estimated delivery time was given but never changed. When we called to ask when it was 20 minutes late we were told they would be a couple of minutes/they were on their way. They weren’t. Several phone calls later, each time being lied to about when the food would arrive I said just cancel it. I was told due to the weather they were very busy. That would be fine but then be honest when someone phones to ask how long it will be. It arrived anyway after being 45 minutes late as the restaurant couldn’t reach the driver on the phone. I had a go at the driver for being 45 minutes late. He laughed in my face! I said don’t laugh at me, it’s not funny. He laughed again at me.Just Eat refunded me the order amount but would not refund the delivery fee and service charge fee, which was the reason for my food being stone cold and inedible in the first place.

Poor poor customer service even when the restaurant is virtually empty...walked out after waiting 20mins to be served.

So after a visit to my good friend's brewery we asked about a decent curry in the area. We were recommended Eastern and I am very glad we were. The vegetarian starters of samosa and onion bhajis were very tasty. On to the main course, I had keema and chicken mix and the other half had fish Karahi. Both really pleasant meals, nicely spiced and very lean meat. Will be making a return!

Ordered a takeaway through just eat. Collected and everything very hot. Large portions and well cooked.

Placed an order for home delivery mocktails were spilt in bag was so disappointed phoned to ask why this happened was told traveling issue will resend and never did but was quick to take money for them and not provide service won't be ordering or recommending them to anyone!

It is a pity that the take away reviews cant be separated from the restaurant reviews. I have never had a take away so cant comment but the food in the restaurant is excellent. The large platters are great value for money and have plenty of items on the platter.

Been there at least 4 times in the last 6 weeks. I am keen on good quality food. Cannot fault these guys. Ok , this is not a usual busy restaurant and feels more like stepping into a family dinner. But We love it. The waiters there are on their toes if you want to change or order something different. It is usually not busy so you can sit and relax in a very nicely furnished restaurant.

The seating area was ok and the food, for the prices was not anything good,but the customer service was terrible, there is an old man at the entrance who meets but he doesnt speak english or can explain the menu. There was no smile by this man or thank you or any kind of hospitality. For a restaurant based in the UK this is so important, i was annoyed and this spoilt my experience totally.

Absolute turds was told the takeaway would be delivered in 30 mins turned up one and a half hours later and forgot my popadoms. Fuming 😂 use to big up this place never again.🖕

Gave this place another chance one Saturday evening & ordered A standard kebab + Chicken tikka with rice for the other half + comestibles.

Rang 3 hours in advance for food to be delivered to a set time, explained over the phone the reason why and gave me his word 3 times that it would be delivered on that set time, item missing on order so rang them and told them and they replied saying its on its way, an hour later nothing, rang again and they said its on its way again and they apologised and still nothing, only gave 2 star rateing because the food was good, but because of the false promise and the lies i will not be returning again, very poor service, very disapointed!!!!! never again!!!!!

I have been customer with this takeaway for over 20 years.Seen they opened up firstly at the old place.Cant trust these guys.The owners son.Has charged me extra money number of times.What they will do is put in extra things on the bill like salad.So that they can get extra 60p to £1.50.If you order on just eat.Then you cant go wrong.But if you walk into the shop and order.Then they will try it on with you.Before I never had this experience.But in the last 6 months this has been happening.

Food was best we have tasted in a long time and we do travel around. Served hot in individual dishes (which kept the food hot). OK no booze but that shouldn't cause a problem, you can always go into town afterwards. Prices were extremely good, service and staff excellent. Will definitely be going again and taking others with us.

Always consistent with the quality of the food and service is reliable. You can either go for a quick take away or enjoy the big tawa in the restaurant

The food we had here was tasty hot and in abundance. The staff were attentive. The interior surroundings are clean and modern...value for money..will be back

Yum yum delicious! Halal food and such a variety on the platter! Would definitely recommend this platter (tava) for two! You get a choice of curries, I would recommend the chicken and lamb boneless! Definitely would go again..

Went here a couple times recently with a friend and the Mrs to eat in the restaurant. Seekh kebab and chicken tikka on naan is really nice plus the chips and masala fish isn’t bad. Would go again next time maybe try the curry’s. Service wasn’t bad but few times I went had to pay at the till couldn’t see a waiter around to ask for the bill. But that’s nothing major. Good food

The pizza was a little cold and deformed in the box like it has been on its side but it tasted great. would be perfect if it was warm

Worst takeaway I've ever had. Cold food, no salad on kebab, meat looked like dog food. I rang up, to be told we will send you salad and because you live a distance away, warm your food up in the microwave. Avoid at all costs, even if your food turns up warm, it won't be nice to eat.

After leaving a note regarding the last orders food being cold. Seems they ignored this as the donner was stone cold and dry. Chicken was dry seemed like yesterday’s food. Won’t be ordering again.

My order took over an hour to arrive & when it did it was stone cold, not even lukewarm, absolutely stone cold & my bottle of drink was warm. This used to be one of my absolute favourite take aways but I’ll not be using it again. Very disappointed.

Ive ordered from here many times never had an issue, but for the past 3 orders theres always something wrong. Despite writing on comments the orders are wrong. And when i call to advise them of this they always rush off the conversation, say theyll give us a discount next time we call i dont expect a discount i expect the food to be the way we want it. Ive ordered again today and its wrong and again i feel im rushed off the call and its been brushed under the carpet.

Red onions are spicy! Yuk. The chips are nice and chunky, however corma is awful. Not enough coconut. Plus still £2 delivery charge when spend over £10. Poor service and added 30mins onto delivery time until I phoned.

ist the don’t know that I have mad a order, took ages to tell about my order and then they charged me extra £1 the total amount on juste-at was £7.90 i send my mate to pick my order they charged him £8.90 the food quality was just okay

Food is excellent in restaurant, on my last visit they had new chairs, unfortunately there was a nail sticking out underneath so when I pulled my. Chair in, it cut my finger, was I given a plaster yes, was accident book procedure carried out no, did I receive what I thought was an appropriate apology no. Will it stop me going there no, as the food is very enjoyable. Takeaway can be hit or miss. But overall will definitely be going again

We heard about eastern from my girlfriends brother, but after today we will not be ordering from here again. We both ordered bbq chicken pizzas one with spicy chicken and one without, both came and were both spicy, there is no mention of it being spicy on the menu, and when I called the resturant to ask about it they claimed that bbq sauce is spicy? We have ordered bbq pizzas from multiple different resturants before and they have never been spicy from anywhere else hense why I ordered one with spicy chicken to make it spicy! The description is inaccurate, and the staff were rude on the phone, not somewhere I would recommend!

I usually order from eastern so I ordered this time and requested it be delivered at 16:40, which gave me an hour to shower and get ready. at 16:02 I had a phone call from a rather rude delivery man asking me to open the door, so I quickly dressed, and ran downstairs, I told him he came 40 minutes early but he was dismissive and just handed me the food and walked off. Usually when I go into the takeaway everyone is polite and nice and this is the first time I've experienced this rudeness. 👎🏼
