So I travelled up From London and stayed in Coventry for a week. Two occasions I ordered food from here. The first time I did a phone order and when I arrived, they totally forgot about my food and did not prepare it so I had to wait an extra 15 minutes. The second time I went, I ordered a mixed shish with naan, I travelled half an hour and when I got back to my hotel, I realise these guys gave me the wrong order. I called them up and the guy was just Aggressive and foolish… Probably the worst customer service of all time absolutely disgrace

Great home cooked food, it has a feel of a proper Indian cafe, even with the water jugs on each table. The food tastes as good as the food back in India and the portions are a nice size for two to share (but if your like me I don't share my food) The lassi is a bit of a let down but don't think I will ever get any thing like a Babi lassi outside of India but will keep trying. Service can be a little slow at times but again just like India 😆

Every time i order food from here the prices have increased slightly. The service is poor too as they take a long time and consistently get the order wrong. Will be the last time i order from here....disappointing.

I'm not from Coventry myself but when ever I do pop down I always get my food from these people, they are reasonable, polite and have great customer service

I ordered food from here, I didn’t receive all of my order, they forgot to give one meal and then I called back twice, they still didn’t send the food, saying they will send it in 15 mins secondly one of my food had some traces of fish inside, if one of my family member was allergic to fish, it could of affected them badly and the fish smell was strong. I don’t recommend this takeaway.

Okay place for food. Portion sizes are decent and the food is always hot when delivered for me. Overall, it's a simple place for quick food.

Rude and they don't know how to talk with customer and unprofessional staff.

I come here quite often, the food is just so delicious and fresh, I would definitely recommend the chicken and rice and the coleslaw is absolutely amazing. Food is 10/10 and staff are always welcoming and polite

Absolutely amazing mixed donner. The food is ready within seconds. The lamb donner is really juicy especially if you eat it in. It is very consistent and the workers are very polite and friendly.

Terrible customer service, and lied to my face.

I had ordered coleslaw n it was just plain mayo in the name of coleslaw and the size.... Goodness I could have gotten a better price n serving from Tesco or Aldi for that price. Super disappointed. N for veg fried rice I got plain white rice with not even hint of vegetables in it. I have never been so disappointed with a restaurant service. Eastern Diner used to serve brilliant food now it's just bland an tasteless food & super expensive for delivery. Very disappointed.

Not trust worthy people. When you are new customer they try to give you fresh but when you start buying from them they disrespect you give you half cooked or unfresh…. I have few times donor meat when I eat it I had to go to toilet quite often with tummy ache.

I had bad experience with Eastern dinner as they delivered very late probably an hour with many calls reminders after made order and they didn’t provide drink and sauces along with.

Cheap quality, dirty inside. Greasy, stale, hard, dry food. Avoid!

I bought pakora today . They serve me cold like removed from freezer.

The food is very cheap but so is the quality, everything I ordered was old and dry, chicken sheesh kebab were most likely reheated from a previous day, so was the tandoori chicken leg, it was dry and like plastic, the naan bread was stale and unpleasant to eat, paneer tikka wasn’t great value for money, overall I wouldn’t go back, the food just isn’t great

Good heart south Asian food. The sheesh kebabs and the masala fish with naan and fries is the best combination.

You never get the correct order when you order online. Pathetic

Edited: In the past I had issues with the service here, but in my most recent visits, the service has been significantly better from speed, to customer care. Food was fresh and fairly priced. Well done Eastern Diner

Great fish naan wrap superb goes well with fries and salad well worthy of trying as it is yummy and delicious and filling.

5 star masala fish with naan i travel all the way from Manchester to eat, must try. Have been regular for 4 years always perfect in taste and customer service. Can't ask for more. Highly recommended

My secret value for money to food quality/quantity. The business is run very well, much credit to the owner, his constant vigilance and effect of the staff, have kept the service at an efficient gold standard. One to favourite for sure. Not much iterative improvement, but consistent quality

Was recomended from a work colleague. Had Lamb Sheesh kebab with all the trimmings. For me it was great. No doubt Il making this place one of my new stops, after work. Thanks guys.

Don't even order from here tryed given food that had been on hot plate for 2 hours tryed cancel order they said no gave to deliver driver for refund what a surprise no refund complete scam on Uber eats I wouldn't even give one star but have no choice all just put phone down when trying to complain

Food was good, the filling of punjab potato samosa had very less salt in it. And the guy who took my order was rude to me and in a rush He treated other customers nicely but me

The people there aren't the friendliest but got the job done Chicken biryani is really good and the chicken and pizza were good aswell

I order 3 masla fish and nan 1 fillet burger and sheekh kebabs spend 45 pound on food quality of food was very poor there was really small peace of fish which cost 8 pound each for small peace of fish burger was proper dry . Use to be good but recently gone down . Don't recommend it . Do go there and wast your money for really small portion of food .

Went to this shop and ordered chicken fried rice and tandoori chicken and fries and actually is really nice. I will give 7 /10 to this .the tandoori chicken really nice.

Ordered from the website today no option to select salaad or sauce for wrap or masala fish in naan .. you would expect them to put salaad and sauce if your paying 10 pound for masala fish. When rang to say plain fish and chicken in a wrap the guy (rahib) on the phone was so rude and said why didn’t you put it on the notes .. I’m sorry if there was an option to put it in the notes I would have like I did with the burger. Don’t bother ordering from this place food was disgusting and the customer services was terrible and on top of that they have the audacity to charge two pound for delivery when the shop is two mins away !

I bought samosas to home. My son found piece of glass in samosa. I will never again but food from that place.

Enjoy the masala fish, and lamb chops would give 5, but the price and sauce option is slightly letdown.

This is a very under-rated restaurant but absolutely worth your visit. The Indian cuisine and sweets on offer are fantastic. Very very delicious and hygienic.

Good food, great people and a decent ambiance, great place to grab a nice desi breakfast or fast food.

My family orders Sunday Desi breakfast of poori halwa from here and it’s amazing.reminds us of the Sunday breakfast back home. i haven’t had the regular food here though so cannot comment.

ordered food for delivery didnt turn up ,spoke to restaurant who said it was delivered to someone outside house all liars as I watched my CCTV and no one arrived pure liars beware of them

We ordered 2 single chicken doners £3.99 each. The man at the counter charged us £11.99 in total saying he added sauce and salad to the meal. Salad and sauce is complementary to the meal. He tried to swipe our card contactless 3 times and said payment declined although it beeped. We asked for a receipt and he never gave us any. We have reported this to the Police and contacted Trading Standards. This is daylight robbery !

I was visiting from another city and decided to get some food, the man serving was an old man with a cap on, very bad customer service, I paid by card no receipt offered when I asked him he had the nerve to show me and say I’ve shown it to you, I told him I wanted the receipt not for him to show me. The pizza we got was uncooked in the middle the dough was raw. It was inedible. The guy working at the back with the bandana just kept staring with his big googley eyes. You man’s need to fix up.

Worst takeaway in Coventry and worst service

The time wasted in making an order to receiving the wrong order on multiple occasions is dreadful. The quality of the food was bizmal and not worth a dime.

Very poor service, takes over an one and half HR , very little care and courtesy

Kebab was cold and had no chillie sauce or salad on it. Didn't bother delivering the fries which is clearly advertised as part of the meal on justeat. When I rang to inform them they said no fries came with the meal and were rude to me. Never again AVOID!

Slowly become regular here always get takeaway at least twice a week big improvement.

I had to write this review as soon as possible. So I called the restaurant whom I have ordered from multiple times to ask whether they make fresh naans or are they frozen. I then tried to ask another question the phone disconnected. I called restaurant back and I said I was cut off and the individual whom I spoke to was soo rude and said ‘oh we are really busy and you’re calling asking silly questions and I have customers to serve.’ I stated I am customer looking for some information so I am prepared later on. The individual again stated I have answered your question and stop disturbing me unless you are ordering. I asked for the owner and he stated he is the owner. I have ordered from the restaurant multiple times and never been so disgusting. I then called a Punjabi Dhaba and asked the same question and got a friendly and professional answer. Never buying from here again.

This is a Indian food joint , popular for Indian starters.Overall okay quality..Mostly good for Takeaways.Tried their Samosa(Both meat and Veg), Chaapli kabab, Chicken pakora,Fish Pakora,Chicken seekh Kabab.Samosas were average quality, crust is very oily Chaapli were the best.Chicken Pakora was bad.Fish Pakora and chicken skeekh kabab was haven't tried the Onion Bhajji,so can't comment. Tried their Lamb dinar meal too and it was awful.Meats were chewy and not done properly.

Do not order from this place. The staff on phone are rude and the delivery is absolutely rubbish. 1.5 hours for delivery to receive the wrong food ro then have to wait over an hour for replacement. Refused refund rude rude rude. Shame the place use to be good but gone down hill big time. Advice go order from somewhere else. Pizza as resent arrived another 45 minutes late and was cold and burnt and tasted awful.

Rubbish customer service 1/10 to get your order correct always messing orders up. Check your change and charges they have a good habit of charging the odd few pounds here or there Yet the food is amazing hence lead you back

Experienced vile customer service today 01/05/2022. Requested for deep fried fritters, was given cold fritters which I checked when I went back to car. I then went back and asked to replace with fresh ones politely but was being shouted by the mad men serving fritters and samosas. He even threw them in the bin while still yelling infront of other customers. If you don't take returns it should be conveyed respectfully instead of insulting customer on spot. On calling shop couldn't get hold of owner and was told its shops responsibility to warm them up before being given to customer. Appalling service, HOW CAN YOU SHOUT AT CUSTOMERS????

I want to sue this people,orderd Donner pizza for my son and they added Mashroom without asking..and it's badly effected my son It's took me long To find out...I'm surprised how come they added anything without asking....I wouldn give them 0..I'm going tomorrow to thier takeway

Absolutely disgusting customer service so rude I ordered my food via phone and they were shouting repeating ‘ we’re too busy we’re too busy ‘ what kind of service is this if you cannot serve your customers respectfully then don’t open the shop !!!! Ordered a donnar and chicken tikka meal in naan over the phone for collection whilst driving to collect it. They gave a ETA of 10mins which was spot on. The food was hot and fresh. With plenty of chicken tikka and a ton of donnar. It hit the spot. Eastern diner takes card which is mega handy. The pizza is pretty good too. Would reccomend.

This used to be my favourite takeaway, but not anymore. They take ages to deliver the food and when they do, you are almost guaranteed to have some missing items. It seems like they have forgotten about all the standard and how good they used to be. Real shame. Sorry, but I can't recommend them anymore.

Very good service and nice fresh food

I have ordered Piripiri Chicken 30 minutes before collection. Waited to collect 20minutes, everyone busy like they haven't seen you. By the time they are service me they don't have a clue what I ordered, started new discussions on choices. Look at the taste of the chicken 😫😫 I can do better piripiri myself. What a regret 😪 🙃. May be is restaurants for Asians and better colour skin. They know me buying couple years, treated like shiiiit. I wouldn't recommend soo disappointed 😞 😔

Hi all please be care full if you are buying Kinder bueno milk shake from here.There was see through plastic pices in my 2 shakes,kitchen staff may have not removed inner layer of plastic on the chocolate bar. I phoned the restaurant they said, they can make me new one but did not have time to go back.

Great turnover of food and good portions, however hygiene not up to my expectations, needs some attention.

The food was good but the hygiene staff was atrocious, he was licking his mouth and then was handling the food to the customer. If they can do this in front of the customer then how disgustingly will they prepare the food behind the scene. We paid for the food but binned it because of how badly it was handled. The stuff was for £32 which we had to waste.

Awful food. Ordered the family bucket. Chicken was stale, some pieces were very chewy. Chicken wings were just about ok. Ordered a couple of times before and the experience was the same. Not going to be ordering again!!

I use to love there food until I ranged up just recently I asked if they could take a payment over the phone. The guy said yes he could but then made out he couldn't then hanging up on me. I said I've ordered food with them before and I ordered with them at least once a week. What a shame Considering I've gone there so many times and I get treated like this I won't be going there again

used by friendly locals so you know its good. Right by the bus stop so good public service to it. Generous portions and sit down or take away service. front of the restaurant is a man who does open air cooking of starters. smaosas, Pacoras and Nans. Watch and learn if you do your own Indian cooking

avoid this place they make up the price when its cheaper then the menu they say its old menu lolll what is it £6 .£6.50 7.50 for a curry?? all your food is over price poor quality your kebab is cheap salty, you should reduce your whole menu on price and increase quality.
